I've been here on several separate occasions over the past year and each occasion was not a good experience. The food is on par with Firehouse, if you've had it. If not, I consider it slightly better than Quiznos. This particular Firehouse has the slowest service I've ever had at any sandwich place. My most recent visit took just over 5 minutes to get a sandwich. There were 4 people working and I was the only customer. How? Each person stood in a spot and just stood there waiting on the other. I'm familiar with assembly lines - I worked in fast food. One guy walked snail's pace between the meat cooker and the bar, before he slowly opened a bag, placed it down, and proceeded to wrap a sandwich before putting it in the bag. Slowly. I've never witnessed anyone move this slow in a restaurant. The time before that, 4 people were chatting while one person placed my order and prepared the sandwich. Again, roughly 5 minutes. My longest experience was 45 minutes when there was 5 people working on 6 customers in front of me. I clocked it, so I'm not exaggerating. Okay, I get it, quality is everything here. I've been to a few Fireplace locations, but none of them were this slow. I appreciate the manager replying to our reviews on Yelp, but we expect results, not apologies. Just fix it. It's so nice to have an alternative sandwich spot in the food desert that is Suburbia. Especially a delicious spot like Firehouse! This place fills up quickly for lunch, so be prepared to come early or eat back at your desk. Regardless of your decision, any of the sandwiches will be well worth your wait. The one thing I could do without? The cheesy greeting "Welcome to Firehouse!!!" that the employees force down your throat as you walk into the joint. I like attention, but not that much. read more

OK, after my 2nd visit, I've decided they earned the 4th star. The sandwiches are really good here and overall value is pretty decent. The ordering/service line in this place is confusing (probably because it's so small in there!) because you have to push through waiting customers to get to the order cashier. HINT: Ask one of the guys behind the sandwich making wall for suggestions before you get to the cashier. *They are very good at telling you what to order. Both times I came it wasn't too busy (4 or 5 orders ahead of me) but still took over 10 minutes to get my order. That isn't as much of a concern for me as long as I get great food at a good value. Most sandwiches are toasted a la Quiznos style but better tasking. Philly Steak sandwich is good but remember to get w/o the onions because they are a vinegary sweet kind that throw the taste off. *Per suggestion, I had the Loaded Engine which wasn't on the menu but turned out to be great; Ham & Turkey with swiss on wheat w/ light mayo & mustard. Oh, and HINT #2, make sure to ask them to use the Romaine Salad lettuce instead of the bland and tasteless shredded iceberg crap. So, I think you can see where I'm going with this review. It takes a few visits and asking many questions to figure them out. The overall value is pretty good and they are cheaper than Which Wich and better quality than either Quiznos or Subway. Anna, the GM, is fabulous to work with, as are all of the staff with whom I've interacted at this Firehouse location. She and her team have made incredible efforts to deliver dozens of catering platters to my office with less than two hours notice...baring smiles the whole way. (I don't recommend that anyone does this to them- I'm just bragging about the supreme work ethic this team demonstrates, not to mention their great sandwiches that never fail to please our staff!) They truly deserve an award! read more

First time here and will be back again. A little pricier than a Quiznos but not by much. And a whole lot better IMO. And I'm a fan of Quiznos. Great fireman themed decor. Good kids options too. Plus they get a fire hat! Highly recommended. read more

Seemed very unorganized. Had a dramatic kid working there acting like he was pissed anytime someone messed up. Took over 30 mins to get a "fast food" sandwich. Firehouse was more like a house on fire....not good...it was recommended that I try the Turkey Bacon Ranch...so I did...and I wish I hadn't...bland bland bland....I mean ZERO flavor...not even from the ranch..the hubby had the BBQ sub....it was better than mine..but not worth 10.00...and the pickles...WAYYYY to much garlic..didn't even finish mine and I love pickles......the obnoxious greeting that I had to hear at least 10 times did me in completely...this is a glorified Quiznos......yuck.. read more

I usually really like Firehouse subs, but this location has gone downhill, and fast. Over the last month or so, I have had my order wrong 4 out of 5 times. On top of that, the subs are no longer toasted at all. Toasted subs are part of the reason you go to Firehouse subs. I am not sure if the toaster is not working or they just decided to not toast any longer, either way, the subs just are not very good. read more

Very friendly staff, a great Cola dispenser that allows you up to 120 choices, good food, AND a hot sauce bar with ratings from 1 to 10. HOWEVER, the 4th star is not forth coming as $5.50 for a veggie sandwich is a bit steep when veggie means cheese, mushrooms, and peppers, and then add the fully loaded. Meat sandwiches are like 40 cents more. The husband thought his Italian combo was a little thin for the $7.75ish price. Otherwise, a good spot to stop for lunch if in the area. read more

Maybe it's because I'm from California and the greatest sandwich shop we have is Subway and Quiznos, but this chain definitely smashes the others. I highly recommend the Italian but any sandwich from this shop will probably knock your socks off! At this particular store, the service was decent. Took a little while to get my sandwich but not too long. And I didn't mind since I could plainly see that they were toasting my bread and I warming up the meat as well. I have been to a few firehouse subs since and they all have the great sandwiches I've come to love and expect. Plus they have like a gazillion hot sauces to choose from if it so fits your fancy. I cannot provide feedback on the food here due to the simple fact that you must be recognized and acknowledged as a paying customer in order to place an order and this is where my feedback begins and ends. There were 3 staff members behind the counter and I was one of 4 customers in the whole restaurant. I walked in right behind a couple who were looking at the menu board and deciding. Meanwhile, I walked up to the counter under the Place Order Here sign only to be ignored by the cashier who was unable to ring up a customer order without the help of who I think was her manager (who also ignored me), while the sandwich maker proceeded to chat up the indecisive couple and refusing to acknowledge my presence and the fact I was actually ready to place an order. This went on for a good 2-3 minutes which may not seem like a long time but it actually is when you are a) hungry and b) have the decent sense to know when you are being disregarded or maybe discriminated against. After all, I was the only minority in the restaurant. So I took my lunch business next store to Five Guys Burgers and Fries, which offered amazing food and friendly, welcoming staff who clearly weren't rude bigots like their neighbors. While I absolutely love firehouse subs, this location has been an absolute disaster both times I've gone in. The first time they told me their oven was broken and they were out of stock on one of the items I wanted on my sandwich. No big deal, I understand sometimes these things happen. However the second time I went in will be the last time. The second time, I put my order in and waited. And waited more. And then more... 30 minutes later I go up to the counter and tell them I'm short on time so if they could switch my order "to go" I would appreciate it. They all looked at each other after I gave them my order number and they said it didn't appear on their screen, and hadn't even started making it. At this point, I'm pretty fed up but I give them one last shot. The lady tells me "we will make your sandwich real quick and then put the charge back on your card" - okay, I say this is fair. However, not only was the sandwich undercooked and with the wrong bread, they didn't give me my refund on my card. That was the last straw for me. I'll happily drive an extra 8 minutes to go to the location on Hampden, which has always been great. read more

Well this is difficult for me because I really like the subs HOWEVER, at this location in particular the staff can't seem to get it together to hand out the right food! I order on line due to working and being busy and I expect that when I come in I get what I ordered. I can't even tell you how many times that they have sent me out with subs that don't have the ingredients I asked for or have something I didn't even want. They have sent coupons out once to comp me for their mistakes but once doesn't cover the at least 4 mistakes I have had 6 times I have eaten there. I had a sliver of metal in one sandwich which I was advised was from cleaning the meat machine.. really?! good you clean the machine but how did you miss a piece of METAL in someone's food?! This last time I ordered for a group on line and went in paid and checked to see if I had 3 sandwiches which I did but when we opened the food they weren't what we ordered. I called in and NOT to my surprise they advised me they handed me the wrong bag.. come on people, this isn't rocket science. I am fed up with this place so despite the fact that the food is great, the staff can't seem to focus on good customer service so I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you do eat here I recommend ordering in person because it's clear from my standpoint they can't read a ticket when it's placed on line. read more

I've been working at the sport clips in Lincoln commons for two years now, and every time I've gone to this firehouse location, I've had an awesome experience. Since you've gotten small sub sizes, I've been getting a small club plain with double meat, and I call ahead so I can go in on my break and just pay and pick it up! Today I ordered and when I went in to pay, everyone greeted me! It wasn't really busy so I got right up. I paid $4.87 for a small club plain with double meat, and rounded it up so I could donate. After receiving my sandwich, I left and began to walk over to my work and I saw that my club didn't have double meat. (This never happens) so I went back in politely and stood in line, one of the sandwich artists said "what's wrong"? And I politely said "I don't think this has double meat," and he proceeded to argue with me saying my sandwich had 2 ounces of meat which is double because it usually comes with 1 ounce of meat. And then I said I usually get more meat than this when I pay for double... ( at this point I wasn't very polite because I've never been argued with by anyone at this location) so he continued to argue and impolitely demanded I hand my sandwich to the other guy so he could put meat in it. I then waited and when I left my sandwich had a decent about of meat in it, I was then, satisfied. But when I got back to work, the meat that they had put in it was ice cold when I bit into it. I'm very upset about this experience at firehouse subs, I know places make mistakes sometimes, but arguing and being rude made this my last time here. Walked in and asked if the sign in the window stating they have the best meatball sub was true...Dumbfounded looks like they didn't know there were signs in the window. Unfortunately, I ordered it... restaurant was not busy, took a good 7 minutes to produce a lukewarm meatball sub, $8.50 with small soda....yuck! Then a woman comes out to the front and starts barking orders for maintenance of the building ( shouldn't these type of instructions be written down??) If only SOME one in the restaurant had stopped to ask if I was happy with my sandwich...never even noticed when I cleared my table and left. WORST SUB Iv ever had the displeasure of choking down! I was in the Neighborhood around noon. I was 1 of 4 customers during lunch, should have been a red flag! There were about 5 high school looking boys milling around behind the counter just hangin out. I ordered the New York sub with everything, to go. With great anticipation I eagerly opened up my sandwich to find a squished tube of soggy gooey bread enveloping 2 slices of "meat" a slice of cheese like substance with an almost non-existant film of mustard. This is the home of the best sub sandwiches available in the Parker area. Forget subway and jimmy johns. If you don't mind paying just a little more money for a preponderance of extra flavor and ingredients, firehouse subs will be your favorite place to eat lunch. I usually get the hook and ladder sandwich and I am always impressed with how delicious it is. Be careful though the sandwiches are addicting. read more
