REAL cheesesteaks. REAL. These are the best cheesesteaks I've had outside of Philly. Seriously. You can add stuff but the basic is meat, cheese, onions, like it's supposed to be. Fantastic service, delicious cheese steak. Ordered a very tedious order of a large cheeses steak with a buttload of toppings (pickles, the works, mayo,, steamed bun, and worker got every detail down pat. Worker was very polite although I didn't catch his name, tall curly haired fello with a nice beard and clean ah burst fade. Extremely joking and great smile and shine in his eyes. Coming back with the new owners was completely different, the customer service is way better and the restaurant feels completely new. I've eaten at this Taste of Philly 3 times now, and frankly my waistline wishes that I didn't like it as much as I do! In addition to being delicious, this restaurant is immaculately clean and incredibly fast. The last two times I came here it was very hot outside and I had my dog in the car so I called ahead to give my order. Both times I was in and out in under 2 minutes with deliciously hot sandwiches and french fries (SO naughty, but SO GOOD!). I order the deluxe sandwich, which is packed with meat, cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. It's fantastic! Why is their cheese so good?! Gooey, creamy, melty fabulousness! My only complaint is that there's a lot of bread- I end up ripping off chunks of it to get to the good stuff. Their fries are classic, golden potato perfection with just the right amount of crispness to the outside. Two words of warning- 1. My husband and I came for lunch last week and gave our order to Linda at the register. She didn't say "hi" or smile . She just scowled. We asked if she could use some oil to cook the sandwiches. She just said, "No." We asked if she'd let them cook an extra minute so the onions and meat could get extra brown and she said she wouldn't do it because she didn't want anything sticking to the grill. She was quite snippy. So, we sat down and listened to her gripe at the two young guys that were doing the cooking. She griped the whole time we were eating. Today, we took our sons there hoping that last time was just a bad day... But, no. It appears it's always a bad day there. There was just one man working by during a busy lunch hour. He too couldn't find it in himself to smile. He just stared at us as we ordered. He didn't talk, just moved his eyes from one person to the next as he took our orders. He didn't confirm our orders. He didn't say a thing - just walked back to the kitchen. Then our sandwiches came out and they hardly had any meat and our mushrooms weren't cooked.
