He rushed through the order, quickly displayed the total, and immediately prompted for a tip. When I asked to use my rewards points for a free item, he responded, "No, I can't do it. I would have to get my manager." After several awkward seconds of silence and me clearly indicating that he should go get the manager, I finally said, "Fine." He then replied, "It's all good." I told him, "No, it isn't." His response? "That's cool." That level of indifference toward a paying customer is unacceptable. There was no attempt to help, no apology, and no concern whatsoever about the experience. Needless to say, this second visit confirmed our decision not to return. I'm honestly glad Newk's was removed as a preferred caterer for our corporate events because based on my experiences, I couldn't recommend them with confidence. I can't continue spending money here.
