I came here to eat before a movie and was utterly shocked at how I was treated. We ordered two sandwiches and when they were ready one of them was made wrong. After some back and forth about what was ordered the young man Pierre finally offered to remake it. It was at this point that Pierre called my date a "Dick". Then when we asked for the owners name and number he proceeded to tell us that he's had plenty of complaints and that none of them have or will get him fired or in trouble. The manager on duty asked him to go to the back but he continued to yell at us proving that not only does he have no respect for the customers that come in to enjoy a meal but he has no respect for his managers or the owner of this establishment. The manager didn't even have a phone number of anyone that we could call. I have never been so upset at a restaurant. And all the manager could do was refund the meal that we didn't even get to eat. read more

I went there with a coupon for a free drink with chips when buying a sandwich. This is place was not packed at 10:30 which I enjoyed for a quiet lunch time. Considering that there was only one other customer who already had his food I think it took entirely way to long to make a small Italian sandwich. The sandwich came out eventually and it tasted pretty good. I say a step above Subway, a little better than Quinozs. But it is more pricey, but overall a good tasting sandwich. I'd go again but only when they offer deals or coupons, its just over what I would want to spend for the amount of sandwich you get. read more

Never been before and will never go back!!! I order three sandwiches and it took 20 minutes to make and 10 minutes to order! The guy who took my order kept looking away and then would say sorry...like he was off in his own world...he did this three times, hence the 10 minute order time. When I brought the sandwiches home, they had messed up two of them by not putting on what I asked for...like no condiments!!! My sandwich had very little meat on one half, literally tore off half the bread so I wouldn't just eat bread and no meat! For first impressions, I can't say I would ever go back!!! read more

I visited the Firehouse Sub location next to the Barnes and Noble in Oceanside. I ordered the Steamer Sandwich. I must say its the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. I stopped in to try the firehouse sub shop. Everyone had said it was great..,I ordered the turkey bacon ranch with "no onions " , after ordering I return home to eat it and it was the wrong sandwich all together.,(had given me someone else's)..I got back in the car return to the shop to get my correct sandwich which they had waiting because they knew they messed up ,then went back home again to eat my turkey bacon ranch with "no onions "only to find that it had plenty of onions on it also. The sandwich was okay after removing the onions..,but quite disappointed with all the runaround..., for an $11 sandwich you would think they would be made to correct the first time.. Don't go here. The manager is rude to her employees, the employees seem miserable. The manager was asking all of the customers if they want drinks/ encouraging people to buy the combo. We all did. When we got to the soda machine (touch screen) it wasn't working. When we informed her, she told us she already knew, that it had been broken all afternoon and she was waiting to hear back to fix it at some point. She had no other drinks to offer. She encouraged us to buy drinks knowing we wouldn't get any drinks. She was rude, she was unprofessional and I won't be going back. This is only the second yelp review I have ever left. I work in the service so I try not to use this too much. This was the second time I have been to this location. The first time the service was so bad it was comical. I like the sandwiches here so I decided to give them a second try. I was in a little bit of a hurry, which is not the stores responsibility. I let them know this and was told that there were four sandwiches in front of us so it wouldn't be quick. There were three employees standing behind the counter staring at us blankly as they told us we might want to go somewhere else if we were in a hurry. They told us they were tired of getting yelled at for sandwiches taking too long. Apparently I'm not the first person to have that problem here. I wanted to give this place a higher rating, but 3 stars is fair. We each got the medium Smokehouse beef brisket & cheddar. Mine with the BBQ sauce, my bf got it with mayo. The sandwich was quite smaller than I had expected, tho it did have a nice smokey flavor and the sauce wasn't overwhelming. The bread was soft and had a nice texture and went well with the beef. Overall, just an average fast food type sandwich with a bit more quality. Will still come back for a very light lunch and try their other sandwiches. The staff wasn't very helpful. When we walked in, they asked if we had been here before and we said "no". He says the sandwiches here (on one side of the big board menu) are our most popular. When we were eating and browsing the menu, we saw we could have had it "loaded". Funny, cause when we started eating, I mentioned it didn't have all the lettuce, tomatoes, etc, that comes with sandwiches at our favorite place....oh well, next time. read more

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! I had come here once before to this same location and had a fine sandwich and service was fine as well. This time was not the case at all. The worker who took our order asked around 5+ times different questions about our order that we had already answered! We sat down waiting for our food when he came up another 2 times to our table to ask us again the same questions about our sandwich. We finally got our sandwich and it was made wrong but decided not to complain because we were okay with what was on it and it took long enough to get. About half way done with my sandwich when I hear a different worker yelling over the counter to I believe the owner about expired products. She continued to ask first about the tuna and then a couple different kinds of meat as well as some produce like the lettuce and tomatoes. She proceeded to tell him that it looked like a lot had gone bad, that it looked old or had growth or was beyond the expiration date to which the believed owner told her to cut the worst parts off and keep the most she could. I was horrified at this point and really began to look at my sandwich to find brown looking lettuce among pretty off sandwich meat. To sum up, I wouldn't suggest anyone to come here, not friends not family and not anyone else. Please be cautious here. I would have given no stars had this been possible. read more

This place is simply amazing!! It's often on our top list of "where should we go to dinner tonight" even though its not close to our house. The food is fantastic... But the service really takes the cake. The meat is sliced to perfection on site (no processed pre-packages meats here) & the ingredients make the best sandwiches. Tried the place for the first time last night. I ordered the brisket and cheddar sub to go. As soon as i lifted the bag I knew I would be disappointed. The food quality was good(despite no cheddar), but the sandwich was puny--nothing like the photo on the menu. For nearly $8, I expected a bigger portion. The folks behind the counter were polite and anxious to serve and the sandwiches.., man.., they were epic. Really bad service, nobody in the place and I have been waiting for over 25 minutes for a simple sandwich

We called in an order to go 15 minutes before arriving. When we got there, the staff hadn't started on our order yet. While the staff was making our order (we were waiting there), anyone who walked up and ordered, the staff would stop our order and make theirs. People ordered, ate and left before we got ours. 5 subs shouldn't take a total of 45 minutes to wrap up. When we ate our subs about 15 minutes later, there weren't any napkins, and the bag was ripped from being soaked through. The sub bread was wet and mushy. For $53, this was terrible. I've had these great subs in Arizona and could not wait for them to get to California...Boy, were they worth the wait! Delicious baked bread made daily, juicy premium meats sliced to order, cold or hot sandwiches. My mouth is watering right now. Normally I would never write a review but after tasting the Beef & Cheddar Brisket from a new sub shop (Fire House) in our area, I just had to let people know this could be the best tasting sandwich I've ever eaten. Meat Ball sub is the best! It is a great three napkin sub plus they take care of their customer defantly worth a try.

I enjoyed the sandwich. It was my first time and the morning staff was very attentive. I'd prefer this place over any sub sandwich anytime.
