Franchise sub with a local feel. Large outside patio, varieties of hot sauces, and kids also get a free fireman hat. Can be slow sometimes but you can order online. Free sub on your birthday. I wanted to give 5 stars for Beef & Cheddar Brisket but my rule is reserving 5 star ratings only for non-franchise businesses. Came in for three first time today. Had turkey and cranberry... Excellent. I feel like I'm enjoying a post thanksgiving sandwhich. The cranberry is just the right amount. Not too much to take away from the savoryness of the turkey. Big tv with tennis coverage in the corner, cool but at ridiculous high location .... At least 9 feet. Stopped in for a meatball sub last week and was very impressed with both the food and the service. The sub was fantastic (as they always are) and the employees made it quickly. The employees were all friendly to me and the other customers who were in and out while I was there. The place was also spotless. But what I found the most impressive was what I overheard while I was waiting for my sub. The manager was training a newer employee and her instructions and comments made to this new employee were so professional and thoughtful. She spoke so kindly to the employee as she trained them -- guiding rather than bossing. It was clear that she took great pride in her work and the work of her team. I heard them talking about how the meatballs need to fill the entire roll because no customer wants to have a single bite without some meatball in it. I heard her compliment one employee on the dare and thoughtfulness that he put into making his own sandwich -- stating that it was great because if he did that level of work on his own sandwich then he would surely do a high level of work on a sandwich for a customer. There were several other things discussed that were also impressive but you get the idea. I just loved how thoughtful she was when she talked to her team. She clearly has an amazing work ethic and it shows in the condition of the dining area and the tastiness of the sandwiches! They make great sandwiches and have very friendly employees. The only reason I took a star off is because they need a little bit better communication with customers. I usually have to wait a little longer to get someone's attention to pick up an order. But other than that, everything's fine. P.S: I think the "Welcome to Firehouse" greeting is a bit robotic. I ventured back to Firehouse because it's closer to my home than Jersey Mike's. I won't make that mistake again. It took almost 15 minutes to get my sandwich. The guy that ordered behind me received his first... the sandwich had very little meat too. My suggestion is to drive 3 extra miles for better service and better food. read more

The subs are average at best to be honest. I've tried the New York Steamer and their Italian subs on two occasions and left pretty unsatisfied. They weren't as tasty as I thought, and they forgot to put some ingredients in that I asked for. As far as service, as the other reviews have mentioned, this is a slow shop. They take their sweet time making the subs and it's not very helpful, especially since I came here during my lunch and only have limited amount of time to sit and eat. So nice to have a locally owned sub shop around and that space next to Fitness 19 has been empty fare too long. We went in while the kids were still out on Christmas vacation for lunch and the place was packed but we still ordered our sandwiches quite quickly, the staff was friendly and efficient and luckily there was one table left. The pop machine is the coolest thing ever and if you take your kids there don't be surprised if they spend a really long time getting their soda re-fills. It seems to have hundreds of different combinations of flavorings all in a kind of retro coke machine looking device. Our sandwiches were hand delivered to us by the owner and were quite good. A decent amount of topping for the price and a fun family atmosphere. We'll be back and plan to check out the patio in the summer. read more

I am a fan! I don't frequent sub shops, but I find myself at this one every week. They have a winning theme with Firehouse. The deli is all about firemen with their decor. Firemen frequent the restaurant regularly too. Everyone loves mingling with them as they are truly heroes. The shop stays very involved with the community, taking donations for fire victims and celebrating local schools. So, the food; I always order a custom made veggie that I love. The staff is very friendly and remember me and try to guess my order as I walk in. Their menu is varied and predictable but unique as they keep with their theme. The bread is always fresh and delicious. They have one of those fun Coke machines with a 100 different drink choices. The store is kept very clean and they always ask me if everything was ok. The kids love it because they get a fireman's hat and teenagers fill the place because of the great food and prices. They have a nice large outdoor patio, with a pretty view across the street of a field. I expect to see this chain become very successful! read more

I love Firehouse but this location definitely needs to work on customer skills and maybe how to make the sandwiches correctly. I ordered a medium sub and the guy wanted to tell me that the small tiny sandwich they gave me was a medium just because they put it in a big box!! He even showed me other medium subs & those even way bigger than the bread that was on my sandwich! I pointed this out too! Then, he wanted to argue & say that they put the same amount of meat on my sandwich even though the bread isn't a medium size!! I did NOT order a small tiny sandwich! Very disappointed... 1st & last visit this weekend. I ordered online and picked up a few minutes before my order was suppose to be ready, that was a plus. My hubby had the meatball and said it was decent, a tad better than subway. I had the steak and cheese and it was hardly edible. It was all congealed on the sandwich and the meat had little flavor and it didn't help it was drowning in mayo in parts. Also my kids meals came with a drink but there was a line about 20 people deep at their soda machine so I asked if I could just have a bottle soda... For an extra charge they said. We finally went up to the cashier and received a refund for our 2 sandwiches after waiting for 30 minutes. There were many upset people that had been waiting just as long. They said they had a huge order and were trying to catch up but this isn't the first time we have encountered this issue. We keep saying we will no longer go to Firehouse Subs but we give them another chance thinking things have changed and they have improved their service. Hasn't happened yet. This is the 2nd time that I have had to wait over 25 minutes from the time that I ordered to get my sandwich. Then, I get back to my office and it is not what I ordered. I will never go back. They just lost all of my office's business! Also, there were 2 of the 4 employees that waited for hot sandwich items to come out....terribly inefficient system. Made the BIG mistake of giving Firehouse Subs another try after several disappointing experiences at other locations I decided to give this location a chance. Waited 10 minutes for my sandwich that I specifically ordered without mayo or onions and guess what...? Yeah they put mayo and onions on it. How hard is it to READ instructions? My first visit was last Saturday, and it was a positive experience. I had the Momma's Chicken Salad Sandwich, and it's a great way to avoid the commonly dry chicken slab between a bun. First visit, we ordered 2 subs to go. They messed up the order and served our order to table guests, one who sneezed on a sub. The guests brought back the subs and they proceeded to wrap them up for us. I saw it all go down so I complained. They were sorry and remade my sandwich... We waited over 35 minutes with a toddler for those sandwiches. Second visit, we ordered 2 subs to go. Many eat in guests who ordered after us were served, but we waited 30 minutes again. Worst location ever!! Don't order online and expect it to be ready until 20 min after you get there. The whole purpose of ordering online is for a speedy pick up. The explanation, "oh, we didn't see the order come in. It's your fault for not calling to verify that we received it." Seriously!? Disappointed! We usually love Firehouse but we've had a few bad experiences in a row: 1. Super Bowl Platter - We preordered a platter a week prior to the game but when we called prior to the scheduled pick-up time (to make sure it was ready), we were advised that there was no record of our order. While they were able to throw a platter together - I wish that our new pick-up time wasn't after our party started, that our original order wasn't lost, and that we received some sort of an apology or acknowledgement that our order was lost. Very disappointing! Thank goodness my husband thought to call ahead! 2. Messy restaurant & incorrect order - We were in this last Saturday and the entire restaurant was a mess. It looked like a bomb went off inside (a large amount of food all over the floors & tables, chairs scattered everywhere, garbage overflowing, really bad & unusual smell, etc.). We also had issues with the two sandwich's we ordered - they were both incorrect. While issues with our order seem to be a common occurrence (a two item sandwich incorrect every time), it was disappointing to have it happen yet again and to see how dirty the place was. This Firehouse Subs is always a pleasure to frequent. The staff are friendly and provide you service with a smile. I'm not sure what it is about their sandwiches, but they're pretty darn tasty. Maybe it's the steaming of the meats that does the trick. I've had several of their sandwiches and I haven't been disappointed with any of them. My new favorite is the Capt. Sorensen's Datil Pepper Grilled Chicken™ as part of the under 500 calories menu. That's one of the best grilled chicken sandwiches you can get as compared to other similar restaurants. The best sub-shop in Parker. My brother and I discovered Firehouse about a year ago. We were driving by & thought we'd try something new for lunch. It was so good we ended up eating lunch there the entire week. The Meatball is outstanding, as is the Italian & Hook and Ladder but the Brisket is my favorite. The only reason they don't get a 5th star is bc if the Coke machine. I luv this machine & all the choices( Grape Sprite, Orange Sprite) but only if it's not busy. If you get a long line of ppl waiting to get drinks, especially children & you'll be waiting for a long time. If you're going to have a machine like that, you have to have at least 2 to move things along faster. read more

I was in for lunch this afternoon and was greeted by friendly faces. The manager seemed in a great mood talking to her co workers but as soon as she began taking my order, she seemed extremely impatient and had a rude tone. I never even gave her a reason as to why she would act in this manner towards me. I have loved coming to firehouse because of the amazing food but I will not be returning to this location again. I myself work in the food business and it is always a top priority of mine to make sure the customers feel welcome and wanted. It's just as important to be welcoming in a manager position, as your co workers look to you for a role model/good example.
