We love our little family here. My sister even made a reservation and they had a cute little plaque with her name written on it. They are super sweet. I felt we were a bit hectic, but they were nice through the entire thing. Its a nice place to celebrate birthdays, have a little girls date. Even just going with family on a regular food outing. We love the Ceasars salad wrap. I tried something new today and the gif with the ham was delicious! It complimented each other so well. Our little one got the bougie Lunchables and ate a little of everything. The plate was large and so my husband finished it off . There's plenty of parking.and since most business there open at varied times it was not busy in the lot around 10am. Overall loved them in midtown and love them more in south reno.

The Trio; petite grilled cheese, cup of soup, & petite salad

A friend and I had another delicious lunch here last week. Coming from Carson, I absolutely love the South Reno location. It is so easy to get to, has fresh and tasty food, friendly staff, and feels open and welcoming with plenty of seating both inside and outside. My friend and I both had the delicious trio (petite grilled cheese, cup of soup, & petite salad). And yes, we hope to be back soon!

Having a Cheese Board in South Reno as well is a treat. The parking is easy in the center on Wedge Parkway. Like the downtown location, it has a little area of cute things that can be purchased. I got a nice Tahoe themed card and chocolates to give to someone. True to the style there is some bench seating with lovely accent pillows. There are similar food selections to the other location. The veggie focaccia blends great grilled veggie flavors. What is different, is the potato dippers. They describe them as a blend between a fry and a potato chip and they are so good. I recommend trying them, maybe upgrading your side.

This is such a cute place! My date and I went here for dinner around 5 on a week night. We were the only ones there. It's casual but contemporary. I really loved the tan wood vibe they have going on there. Service was helpful in giving recommendations for indecisive people. We settled on the mushroom cheese sandwich (not sure what it's called) with tomato bisque soup, and the green chili quiche with a cup of minestrone. I really loved the soups. The virus was perfect amount of acid plus cream. The minestrone felt veggie hearty and healthy with great flavor. The mushroom cheese sandwich was nice, but I'd prefer it to have less goat cheese and more something else, like warm Brie with fruit compote. I just like sweets I think. The quiche had a nice jiggly creamy consistency. They must have made it with cream or cottage cheese. It was flavorful and the crust seemed home made. I wouldn't say it was a low fat or a low carb option really though. Lol. It was a great first experience for us and I love trying locally owned places. We shall be back for that chimmichurri burger!

4.5 stars rounded up. Quality/Quantity - I have been wanting to visit you for a long while, and of all meals, we ended up here for dinner?!?! Mainly because my buddy was too lazy to go any further to dinner as we were enjoying our wines at Zephyr Wine Bar. Last second I decided to get the Bistro Reuben - I do not get to eat pastrami often. The sandwich could have used a little more sauerkraut. The sandwich also came with salad or chips, of course I chose the chips. And to wash it down with a glass of Pinot Grigio. My buddy got his usual quiche with a side salad. He ate it all up! Atmosphere - Open 6 days a week from 10am to 7pm, on Sundays from 10am to 5pm, and closed Mondays. Service - 5 stars; good suggestions, etc. Counter service. Price - $50 which includes tax and a generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1981 and with this new location since August of 2023.

I had the special sandwich -- burrata cheese with pesto, tomatoes, onion and lettuce -- and it was so good! The flavors were fresh and everything tasted homemade. The fried potato dippers are always a must and did not disappoint. The service is always top notch and you can't beat the patio on warm evenings. Highly recommend!

Incan Quinoa Salad $12.95 unassuming visually but wow, incredibly delicious!
    Laura C.

I tried the Incan Quinoa Salad and although it was visually unassuming it was incredibly delicious! It's just a spinach salad tossed with a mix of quinoa, blueberries, celery, apples, red onion, chopped parsley, dried mangos and cranberries, and topped with feta cheese, toasted pepitas, and served with a side of balsamic vinaigrette but wow oh wow, it was so flavorful. I will say that I didn't see celery or apples, and I only saw one piece of red onion, but perhaps those things are minced very finely (or incorporated in the salad some other way?). Either way, I have no idea how such a simple looking salad tasted so complex but it was fantastic and I highly recommend ordering it. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak with some sort of French-fry. He enjoyed it but mentioned that he was surprised a place named "The CHEESE Board" had such a light layer of cheese sauce in their Philly cheesesteak sandwich. (He said he wished there was more.) The place was packed but the food was out fairly quickly considering. I will say that I wished the seating felt more spacious, inviting, and comfortable. With a full restaurant and tables so close it wasn't the most relaxing environment to dine in (a bit cafeteria like) but they are limited on dinning space it seems. I did see that they had a kids menu. A child at the table next to us got the $10 plate that included thinly sliced green apple, crackers, cheese, and a meat (salami perhaps?); the portion seemed reasonable for the price and was certainly more than one gets in a Lunchable so I made a mental note that I could see my kids finding something to enjoy here. Overall, fresh food and clean pleasant ambiance. I'm looking forward to returning as well as keeping this place in mind for a visit when I'm hosting guests from out of town that prefer salads and/or more "frou-frou" food.

    Carrot cake

We came here for the first time on Sunday and they have a brunch menu too on those days. It was our first time and it definitely won't be our last - the food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was relaxing/chill, and the staff was friendly. They have quite a selection of sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts. We tried their carrot cake which was pretty good. Our little one ordered off the kids menu (they call it "FOR THE LIL' CHEESE CURDS" which is adorable) and there's plenty of kid friendly options. Our little one loved the salami paired with cheese, crackers, and fresh fruit. We also got the hot Italian with fried potato dippers - the bread was incredible, the sandwich had plenty of delicious meat, and the potato dippers are a must try (perfectly crispy and seasoned well). The breakfast sandwich was equally as tasty and I loved their chipotle aioli. I can't wait to try some of their other sandwiches and brunch options. They also have a great outdoor seating area.

I was beyond impressed with this burger! It marks one of the best burgers I've had all time! Our service was great as always and we love sitting outside!

Pear and Bleu cheese salad with chicken and avocado.

Stopped in to enjoy a nice glass of wine with a Pear and Blue cheese salad. I replaced the blue cheese with feta and it was fantastic. The place was PACKED and the staff was doing a great job keeping up with the rush. The outside patio took a while to get cleaned for available seating, but that's yo be expected. I also love to get their Brie and Apple dish to share with a friend. Great place to relax, meet a client or friend, and just a great place to take a breathe and have some lunch. Cheers and thank you!

Great experience at my 1st visit to the South Reno Cheese Board. Great service, really nice interior and exterior space. Grilled cheese with provolone, aged cheddar, and Swiss cheese was excellent. I chose the potato salad as my side with an uncharge. Both were delicious. My dining companion had the make your own sandwich option. There are so many choices! Shared a bottle of red wine since it was happy hour, 20% off. Happy Hour, Tue-Fri Enjoyed the red wine with a dessert of a brownie heated up. Easy to box up leftovers at the available station. Definitely recommend!

Grilled cheese and tomato Cup of Soup

Came for brunch and ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup on the side. It was delicious and cooked exactly to my expectations. I also shared the goat cheese and blackberry sandwich with a friend, unfortunately, we forgot to take photos because it was devoured within two minutes! That was just as delicious, with the perfect balance of flavors. Would definitely come back again.

    Mimosa Flight

We have been here three times. Each time I really enjoyed what I got. This last time I ordered up the Beef and Bearnaise while my wife ordered the Reno Food and Drink Week Special of a Fig and Prosciutto burger with potato dippers. A previous time we came for their Brunch for a veggie burrito and a quiche with the best Mimosa flight in town. All of the food is freshly made and delicious. I cannot believe just how good my wife's burger was. Thankfully she let me have half for lunch the next day. It was SO delicious. The staff is always super friendly and helpful every time we go in. Any questions we had were answered right away. The atmosphere is brighter and a little more formica than the Midtown location, but still everything is pretty sleek and very clean. I really love their neon sign in the dining room. We will be back. Without a doubt, espcially for that perfectly designed mimosa brunch on Sundays.

I ordered the gyro wrap, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best choice for my personal taste. I wasn't a fan of the lamb strips, as the flavor just didn't really agree with me. I also would have preferred tzatziki sauce over the garlic sauce, and I found the tortilla wrap less satisfying than a traditional stuffed pita. That said, the food was fresh and the staff was friendly. I also noticed other folks in the restaurant had ordered platters, and those dishes looked good. I have now tried the Thanksgiving sandwich, a burrito of some kind, the Cobb salad, the turkey pesto sandwich a burger and yesterday a chicken taco salad. Ok, seriously, how can a taco salad not be good, right??? NO FLAVOR, and so skimpy on anything that might have made it good, it was ridiculous. HUGE amount of lettuce (because lettuce is cheap) then a dry and COMPLETELY flavorless chicken breast, a hand full of of black beans, a tablespoon sized portion of Mozzarella cheese (mozzarella? On a taco salad???) a tablespoon sized dollop of sour cream, a wimpy sprinkle of tortilla strips and some watery, very basic salsa (and not enough of that, either). I added a side of avocado which was maybe a quarter of one for $2.25 (so avocados cost $9 apiece, apparently). Anyway, once I ate what should have been the good stuff, there was sooooo much lettuce remaining. Bleh. I left hungry. That salad was $26 dollars for a tasteless bowl of lettuce. . Of the 5 other people with me, only one liked what she got, and she was the one who picked where we would eat. Never, ever again. Clean, organic food can still have flavor!!!!!

Props to Burger Me for being one of the only smash burger locations in Reno to be open on a Monday during lunch hours! With that being said, the menu options are focused on burgers, with really one option for smash burgers. I asked for what meat options could be made into a smashburger, and was told beef only. I was craving a western style smashburger and as-is, the one option didn't fit the bill. I asked to substitute or pay for onion rings on the burger in place of carmelized onions, and my brain didn't comprehend that I could order onion rings on the side and put them on myself. I was offered to have fried onions substituted and I said yes. There's several sauce options and I chose the bbq sauce, naturally. I also ordered garlic fries on the side. The burger itself is two beef patties that are each smashed, place on top of each other. I think each one has cheese on top, but I was too hungry to look for that before diving in. There's enough pickles to be in every bite, and it was glorious. The patty itself was seasoned, but I could only taste the seasoning in certain parts. I could still taste the seasoning with and without the bbq sauce, and it was yummy. Bbq sauce tasted like bbq sauce, it fit the bill 100%. If you're looking for a normal sized smash burger, ask for only one patty. I couldn't finish the whole burger and I can normally eat a whole smash burger to myself. My food was served probably in 15 mins. I also came in before a bigger lunch crowd so that probably helped. As for the atmosphere, I really appreciate the booths and tables. There's also arcade games near the back, with a clear glass so you can keep eyes on little ones while in the main restaurant. Everything I've ever had here has been excellent, but the bison burger was easily one of the best burgers ever! The onion rings are perfect every time. They are light and crispy and the ranch is so good! I tried the white truffle burger and loved it! It was borderline too much truffle for me, but that's just a personal thing. As with anything, I strongly encourage everyone to try it for themselves. And the Bella stack from a separate visit easily moved to my top favorite. I almost didn't get it because I thought I would miss the flavor of the burger patty with onions and cheese, nope! I didn't miss it at all! The Bella stack has one of the thickest portobello mushrooms I've ever seen in my life. It is marinated in this beautiful balsamic reduction (that was almost too much on that to by the way, but if anything just order some on the side) It was a flavor that stayed with me for awhile after lunch and it was delightful. Also, I'm a big fan of pesto, which is another reason I had to try the Bella stack. One of the sandwiches I can't wait to try next is the big dippa (similar to a French dip). The staff are nice, the service is quick and everything seems to be clean and organized. They also have some great adult beverage options. I'm currently in love with their unsweetened tropical passion tea for a non-alcoholic choice. Many thanks and great job Burger Me crew!
