(That thing, where in the south you walk on blacktop in bare feet for 2 hours then go to a supermarket.) Yes. On our way out of Savannah, lunch stop for the kids. Really nice folks behind the counter, attentive service. Plenty of seating inside with a casual atmosphere, but parking is tough with the adjacent Starbucks. Ordered a variety of sandwiches-- Jamaican Jerk, New York Steamer, children's menu meatball, and a hook and ladder. All delicious and generously made. We drove through here a year ago and back again this year, despite being three time zones from home. Who knows what may happen next year? Would love to come back. read more

The decor is cool! Love the fireman items but the subs are delicious! I shared a sub with my friend and it was filling. I recommend the hot subs I think it because of the melted cheese that makes the sub so good. I walked in and the staff was visibly angry. There were about 4 people up front. 3 ran into the back room and the one who remained failed to acknowledge my family and I for nearly 2 minutes. It was the most awkward experience I've ever had at a restaurant ever. What happened? It was 8:30PM and they close at 9PM. When the lady finally reluctantly acknowledged us I had already decided we would not be eating there. I simply asked her "it looks like you all are ready to get out of here. Did you pack everything away already?" She was happy I asked. She said everything was packed up, but that she'd make us subs anyways. I told her that was fine, we'd come back tomorrow (yeah, right). We left. I worked at a sub shop as a teenager.. And I've worked in customer service in the past. This is not the employees fault. This is most definitely the management / owner's fault. I have no clue how all of these people working there thought it was ok to pack everything away and shut it down 30 minutes before closing. This is fast food. If the business closes at 9, you're not getting out of there til at least 10pm. It takes at least a good hour to pack everything away, clean, take the trash out, etc. Anyways, I love Firehouse Subs, it's my favorite sub place to go. But... You couldn't pay me to eat at this place. If I could spot all of these problems in under 2 minutes, there's no telling what else is going on in that building, which is kind of scary for a place selling FOOD. read more

I got SO SICK about 20 minutes after eating one of their club on a sub sandwich's. It was so embarrassing! This happened around the time of the hurricane. I heard a lot of places were selling spoiled food but I didn't want to believe that Firehouse subs would do that. In my opinion, it certainly looks like they did. Bummer. Standard Firehouse sub restaurant, with same great subs as all their other locations. This one has a slightly smaller dining area than I'm used to in most. Had two TVs, with sports on one and Food Network on the other. Inside was clean, tables wiped-down, staff professional, and food ready fast. The soda stream machine was out of ice so they had to bring some out to refill it upon request. My go-to steak and cheese sub was great, with added cherry peppers and their Capt. Sorensen sauce. No complaints with the tea either. Great place to grab a bite or get a to-go order. read more

I love firehouse subs. When you are part of their rewards program, you get a free medium sub on your birthday! I chose the Cajun chicken because I've never tried it. I normally always get the Turkey bacon ranch. I love their drink machine. So many options! Only downside to this spot it the parking lot is incredibly dangerous. It's too small and you got all the Starbucks traffic. So it's difficult to get in and out and to find parking. read more

Ordered on app. Easy enough. Got to the store prior to the pickup time. There were 4 employees and 2 customers (counting me). Food was not ready at the appointed time. In fact, it took an additional 15 min. Note that's 45 minutes from when ordered. It was not busy. Sandwich was cold. Mac and cheese was just pasta with cheese sauce poured on top and half full. The overall Rating for this location is currently 3.5 Stars which is a bit underwhelming, so we were a bit wary about making the stop for lunch. And while we also agree with the more recent reviews that speak to consistently good food and decent service - I am on the cusp of 2-3 Stars because of the overall cleanliness and ambiance and service at this location. We went to pickup lunch late Sunday afternoon and while Starbucks next door was hopping, inside FH - there was just a single family dining. There were 4 employees, all younger teens. We noticed right away that the shop just overall seemed a bit drab and that the counter areas (by register, and where you pickup the food) were in somewhat disarray. Random napkins, condiment packets, not freshly wiped down areas, etc. But perhaps they had just finished a big rush, who knows - benefit of the doubt - and so we move on. A young man took our order and while he was not rude or nasty in any way - he also wasn't friendly or even remotely interested - period. We order 2 large subs, the Pastrami and Italian. The young man who handed us our food, was kind of rude as he flopped down our paper bag of food on the counter. And despite all the chit chatting the employees were doing behind the counter - they managed to make some decent sandwiches. (A credit to the quality of the ingredients and recipe of FH I suppose?) We were cool and friendly the entire time walking in, ordering, and waiting - but all of our 'Thank yous' went unanswered each time, and you couldn't get these kids to give you even half of a smile. So while the subs were yummy and good enough - this location needs a pick-me-up and some added TLC in regards to its operations and service. read more

They pick and choose who they give their veterans discount to. A military veteran has done their time in the field. A retired military veteran deserves a discount. Point blank period. I got off the phone with corporate, and they said a manager can choose who they give a discount to and who they don't. Which is garbage. A veteran has done their time in the field overseas and now is retired. This restaurant should not be given any services for anyone in the military or first responders because they will not give you a discount if you're retired. After waiting 10 minutes and not being waited on, I decided anything else will work. 3 employees but no one could stop and take my order! Yes, they did tell me they'd be "right with me" but 10 minutes and I hadn't ordered yet. Unacceptable. 4 customers in the building. Management needs to train the employees better. This location has the worst service. Tonight we were told they weren't allowing anyone to dine in; only take out orders. They had plenty of people working and it was well before closing time. The last time we tried to eat there, they said it would be a 45 minute wait to get food. The staff were kind of rude about it. I don't think we will even try again. Dec. 19, 2021 I took grandkids and wife to this Firehouse Sub. I first noticed charges on receipt were higher than posted on menu board. Looked closer and had been charged for an extra drink and for some medium subs when all had ordered small. Cashier couldn't help. I asked to speak with the manager on duty. He and cashier were both polite, but said they couldn't make an adjustment. Restaurant was busy so I thought I'd just email Firehouse Subs. Bottom line: I was overcharged $8.33 (not including tax). Firehouse Sub didn't respond nor did anyone say, "sorry". I suggest a $25 Firehouse Sub for the inconvenience, overcharging and frustration. Will reconsider Yelp if Firehouse responds promptly. I know this isn't how you want to run a business. (Photos of menu board and my receipt are in my possession. Update: No word received from Firehouse vendor or company. It's been one month. They seem content with overcharging $8.33 and not responding when called on it. read more

I was so excited to have a new place to eat in Richmond Hill. However, the food was not very good. I ordered a small steak/cheese and small turkey. The turkey had a "gel-like" substance on it and did not smell very good. The steak bun was 'wet'. Yes, wet. It was so soggy and the other sandwich bun was not toasty enough, so it was a little too moist. Service was ok. No one was in the place but it took a while to get the food. I took it home and found how terrible both sandwiches were and threw them both away. This is not what I get at the Firehouse in Savannah. I will not bother to go there again. read more

I have always appreciated the charitable model of Firehouse Subs, as well as their sandwiches. Unfortunately our experience at this particular location was a disaster. They got our order incorrect not once, but twice and as soon as we pointed out the first error and asked for a replacement sandwich, the attitudes of the employees took a nose dive. When they served us again with the wrong size sandwich, rather than making the originally ordered size, the server took his time making an even smaller version and cutting it lop-sided staying it was the equivalent of a large cut in half. Half the toppings were scattered all over the bottom of our boxes and at least one "half" only had lettuce on it. We overpaid $10 for something Subway does 10x better for half the price. read more

I mean how do you go back to Publix or Subway after you've had Firehouse. Their subs are amazing and go towards a good cause. Our go-to is the Italian sub and my kids love their grilled cheese and their meat ball subs. Plus they get hats. Definitely get on their rewards program if you're a sub eater. I really love Fire house subs but this location isn't as good as I've experienced in the past. Which is disappointing because there aren't many places to eat in RH.
