I took my car in for a oil change and they called me and said my battery needed to be replaced it was bad when they tested it. I told them i wasn't having any issues starting the car, so I'd take it back to where I bought the battery because it should still be in warranty. Took it back to O'rielly they check it and said it was fine. This was in March. Yesterday I took it in for a state inspection only and they call and said again, your battery is going out and your steering wheel in tight and we think your auto steering pump is going out. Can we check? yes of course and yes of course they said its bad . BUT there is no fluid leaking on the ground , no ticking in the steering wheel... They are totally trying to scam me and up sale on things that are not needed. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Unsafe, Incompetent Service I brought my 2017 Ford Expedition in for a routine "Car Care Package", only to receive it back with two lug nuts missing on one wheel and a broken lug nut on another. No one at the service desk mentioned this to me when I picked up the vehicle, and I didn't discover it until I'd driven all the way to work on Highway 75. I regularly drive with my children in this car, so to learn that Firestone returned the vehicle in an unsafe condition without notification is absolutely mind-boggling. A tire coming off at highway speed or a wheel flying off in my neighborhood could easily cause serious injury, a multi-vehicle collision, or worse, a fatality. When I called customer service, I was told a "case file" was opened--but I haven't received any follow-up call or email. I called again and was told they opened another "case file" and I would be contacted. Still nothing. That level of silence only compounds the frustration and concern. Looking back, I should have sensed a problem the moment they broke one of my wife's lug nuts and didn't tell me. I took her 2017 Ford Expedition in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Instead, they quietly ordered a replacement part and had me wait over two hours without explanation. It's clear something is very wrong at this location--whether it's untrained technicians, faulty equipment, or broken communication between the shop and the front desk. They desperately need customer service training and a better system for alerting customers to safety issues. Every visit here seems to introduce a new set of faces behind the counter. I strongly recommend avoiding this Allen-McDermott Firestone and visiting their Allen-Stacy or Allen-Bethany locations instead. Safety and basic courtesy shouldn't be this hard to find. read more

A good friend recommended this Firestone location to replace my EV tires. I checked the reviews and was concerned they weren't very good for the most part. I "rolled the dice" and drove to the location to check it out myself and get a quote. I was not disappointed. The two females who work the front desk were both friendly and knowledgeable. I received a competitive quote and was told the tires should be in the following day. They came in as scheduled and I had them installed, a task that took about 1 1/2 hours, as they were busy. I can't review the quality of the tires yet, as I've only had the new tires two days. You can't possibly review a product like tires until you've driven on them for at least several weeks for an objective review. But the initial impression of my new tires is a very good one. So yes, I definitely recommend this Firestone location for tire purchases. read more

After sitting in the waiting area for over an hour and a half with no updates, I finally asked about the status--only to find out my car wouldn't be ready until the end of the day. No one looked at my car or ever communicated that change to me. I ended up wasting my entire Sunday waiting around for nothing. On Monday 10/17/2022 I called this store to make an appointment to change one of my tires with a similar model, they got all my information. I did it to make sure I am in the schedule, so I can take time off from work and get it on a good time. Today 10/19/2022 when I went to my appointment, they told me that they do not have the tire on stock. What a waste of time! They told me that they can ordered but I have to make another appointment for Friday. Why you make an appointment for me, and you do not have the inventory on hand? Especially if you already knew that was to change a tire of the same type already bought here. The person on the store told me that another Firestone store has the inventory, but I have to call them to see when they can take me. My wife took my car to get a nail in the center of my tire patched. I made an appointment for 8am and showed up on time. The tatted up front desk guy was rude and lied to my wife. He said we had to get all 4 tires replaced and the tire was not repairable. I took it to Just tires down the street and they fixed it for free. Even showed my wife the nail and said there was no reason why they couldn't repair it. I have been buying my tires from Firestone since 2003 and deal with their scammer front desk dudes all the time but this is the 3rd time they have lied to me and I am over it. Bought a full set of four tires about 6 months ago, price was good, mounted and balanced pretty quickly on a busy Saturday morning. A week ago, noticed a slow leak in one tire - losing about 5 lbs of air every few days. Stopped in at lunchtime, they had it on the lift in minutes, pulled off the tire, found and fixed the leak (nail in the tread), and were done in about half an hour. No charge either. We dropped the car off for repairs to the air conditioning. We were told it was finished and paid several hundred dollars for the repair. Not even 1 day later, the air conditioner started rattling and quit. Apparently an air filter broke apart during the initial fix and they did not blow the system out and make sure there were no more pieces. They charged us another $400 to repair it again. I guess if you're looking for a one-time customer and not a repeat customer this is a solid business plan, but I'll tell everyone I know about our experience. read more

My family and I brought a car in to get looked at because the engine light was on and they told us we needed a new air filter (even though the current one was only 30 days old) and another $675 worth of work. To get a second opinion, we took it to Nissan (where we bought the car) and Nissan told us NOTHING was wrong with the car. Nothing, absolutely nothing. When we called the location to tell them, Gene was defensive, rude, and still tried to say that himself and his staff did not do anything wrong. After reading reviews today, I see that this place really went down hill, even though a few years ago this location had the overhaul of people who worked there, and I was assured that the customer service will be their top priority. I have been coming to this location for 13 years. Today I was so upset, that I decided to write this review. I am complaining about the manager of this location Jeff. Today at 9 am I dropped my car for an oil change. My car is old has 118000 miles, and I've used this location for the past 13 years changing oil every 4-5 months with synthetic blend oil/high millage oil. Jeff was at the counter and I gave him a coupon that said $10 off synthetic blend/ high mileage oil change. He also asked me how many miles on my car and I told him. I also do tire rotation, balancing and purchased lifetime alignment for my car at the time of oil change. I told him that I need these 3 things and he said that I purchased tires from them in 2005. I told him that this is not true and I practically buy new tires every 3-4 years from them. I asked him to check my car history on the computer, but he refused. He said that oh, well he is the manager and he will do this for free. I told him that I do not need any favors, and these 3 services should be included with oil change for me. He also returned my coupon without looking at it and said that there is already $10 off in the computer applied to the oil change. I picked up my car at 5 pm ( dropped at 9 am), and the nice guy who was at the front desk Ryan told me that my total is $25. This price raised red flag for me (I usually pay around $40), so I asked him what oil they put in my car. He said it was not high mileage, but that it was partially synthetic. I asked him why they didn't do the right oil change, it is all in the computer, and he said because Jeff stated to do this oil change. I got home and looked at the sticker they put on the front window of my car, and it said that Firestone did a conventional (cheapest) oil change. That is when I got really upset. I called back and talked to rude Jeff (sadly Ryan was gone for the day, so Jeff picked up the phone), who started screaming at me and telling me that he asked me what oil change I want, and I said that I want conventional oil. I told him that 1. He never asked me that and I have not had conventional oil change in my car for the past 15 years, 2. My coupon was for synthetic bland /high mileage oil change, but he would only know that if he would bother to look at my coupon in the morning. He continued screaming on the phone even after I told him to stop screaming. He told me to come tomorrow to do the correct oil change. I said that I can not be left without a car for the second day in a row and asked him if this would be about 30 min, and he said no, it will not be 30 min. This person is an embarrassment to this store and should not represent Firestone company in any shape or form. He is very rude and unprofessional. I've used that location for 13 years and have never been treated the way I was treated today. I also contacted Firestone corporate office and planning on talking to them on the phone next week. PS. I didn't pay anything for my oil change today at the store. It was a courtesy of Ryan for Jeff's rude and non caring behavior. Also I decided to go back again tomorrow to do the correct oil change. They try to up-sell everyone at every visit. It's worse than buying a car. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and I told them I knew the tires were ready to be replaced but I still wanted them rotated. I even asked for a quote to have them replaced in a few weeks when we had more time. I received a call stating they won't rotate them because it's a safety issue being the wear was under 4/32nds. They want to replace them. I told them it's my car, they aren't driving it and I want them rotated. They refused. The receipt states it's a State of Texas Inspection fail. This is complete BS, the vehicle is not required to be inspected until November. There is no law in Texas stating anything like this. It would have been better if the moron had said it was their policy. They lost a customer. Don't come here unless you want to be constantly up-sold. read more

Went to Firestone for an oil change and to check on what was causing my tire pressure light to keep coming on. As suspected, there was a nail in my tire. So they told me that I'd need to replace at least 2 tires so that the two would match. My tread ratings? were all between 2 and 3 so they told me that I should go ahead and get all four tires and scolded me for not rotating them often enough. Fair enough. They had a buy 3 get 1 free 'deal' which I believe is fairly standard. They weren't too pushy and I felt I could have said no. Cost for the tires ended up being in the 550 range for all four. They have free rotations for those tires as long as I go back to any Firestone so that seemed like a good idea to me. The work was done pretty quickly..maybe an hour or so but I wasn't paying attention since I wasn't in a rush. They had a (gross)restroom, a TV, and a few seats to wait for your vehicle. The staff were all friendly and they began work on my car right away. I'd go back to this location again...but if I find a location closer to my house I'd probably just go there...nothing particularly special. Nothing great. Nothing bad. read more

I've always had good luck with the mechanics at this Firestone location. They've done a great job with my various vehicles. Ask for "Nacho" to work on your car, if he's available. He's efficient, friendly, and effective. There's free wifi for while you wait, but make sure your notebook computer is fully charged as electrical outlets are super scarce. read more

This place has got to be the worst firestone I've ever dealt with. The sales guy first quoted me for a run flat $300 drive off for one tire. I asked if he had other options he said no. Then talks to his manager and tells me we have one for $238 plus other cost which ends up being the $300 range. So I told him to go ahead and put the run flat tire then immediately tells me it's not in stock. I am like what happened to the first option. We have to order it. I am why did you give me that option if it's not in stock. The underlining story here is is their is games being played and they can't be trusted. Now they're selling me a crappy tire for the same price as the run flat because I am a captive customer I had to have my car towed in since my car doesn't have spare by design. You can tell this place is slow now I understand why. Take this and Run Forest Run. Firestone should revoke their franchise agreement. Called ahead to make sure price. Was told price$ then was told they had a coupon online that I could add on top of it. Which was $15 off. Set up appointment and sent my wife to get it done. After almost a hour the car was finished she returned home. I see the recite and it shows the rate he quoted me before the coupon. Trying to figure out why we were over charged I called back getting a different man on the phone. I ask about the oil change price again same spill I have him tell me exactly what it would be out the door. Then I read the recite and ask why we were over charged. He quickly changes his story saying ohh she didn't choose the blended and that was the lower price. I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago and will never return again. Not just to this location but to a Firestone and I will definitely steer my friends and family away from this place. I came here on a Friday and had an appointment at noon but called at 9 to ask if I could get in earlier. The guy who answered said it was no problem so I got there at 9:30. I learned, like many ither reviewers, an appointment really doesn't mean anything - it's just their way of getting an idea of how busy they expect to be for the day. Anyway, when I arrived, I was told the wait would be 2 hours. I sat in their cold lobby for a little over an hour and a half before being called up to the desk by the advisor. He recommended all this other stuff be done to my car, which tripled my bill from 300 to over about a grand. I went ahead and gave them the green light to complete all the recommended repairs. I was told by new ready time would be another hour and a half than what I was initially quoted. I said okay and chose to wait in the lobby for another hour and a half. An hour and a half passes by, I check on the status of my car and am told it will need another hour. Then ANOTHER hour and a HALF went by and finally I see my car being pulled to the front. I can only see part of the car and I see it jostling a bit so I figured they're probably doing some finishing touches or letting the car run for a minute to make sure the tire light went off and everything was working properly. 30 more minutes go by and finally I am fed up and ask the advisor what is taking so long. He goes to the window to check on the status of my car but the guy he needed to talk to wasn't there so he goes back to the counter where I am to discover my checkout paperwork had been sitting there for half an hour. This idiot had the nerve to say "I'm glad you said something!" Yeah, me too, you twat! The family who had also been waiting in the lobby for 3+ hours for their car also got upset to the point of leaving as they were told the store didn't have the right tire for his car after 3 hours of waiting. Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I understand it can get busy and you get backed up, but TELL THE CUSTOMER it will be a 5 or 6 hour wait so they can leave and be productive with their day instead of sitting in your cold lobby like an idiot.
