Went 2-7-21 and it was a splendid visit. I got valet style treatment getting out of my car and getting back into my car. Felt love with the usual amenities inside an autoshop, but it was the tone, actions, and words all combined that made it valuable. I was helped mostly by Jerold. He dealt with my car personally and at the register. My main reason for visiting was an oil change (High Mileage) and I had a coupon. Absolutely no problem taking it, except for me having to zoom in on the digital coupon. So that was any fault. Prices changed last little due to inflation (but it's everywhere), had a kids area, unisex restroom, and coffee counter with French vanilla and donushop brand kcups, and sitting area that is still pretty spacious to abide with Covid related situations for customers who are cautious. read more

My took my car in to get the state inspection & oil changed. After the inspection was completed, my husband was informed that my brakes and transmission also needed to be serviced, so my husband asked how much and how long they would take because he didnt have a lot of time to wait. The manager told him that since they had already looked at the brake pads, and had them off, that it would be best to wait. Also, she informed him about the "estimated cost". So he waited TWO MORE HOURS for them to finish, gets the bill, and it's almost $1k, about $500 more than expected. We looked at the breakdown of costs, and they did WAY more than we thought even, and when I asked for the WRITTEN approval for all the initial services estimate before the extra services were rendered, the manager told me it was a VERBAL approval only. This is a legality matter that has been escalated to corporate already. And did he pay for everything? yes, because what was the other option he had? jump in the car and drive it out of the garage? leave and not pay? He has morals so obviously he paid it, because he won't steal. But what business accepts and (unrecorded) verbal approval instead of a written approval first? read more

Went for a state vehicle inspection. They took forever to do it and put the license plate numbers in wrong. So I had to go back. No apologies just we can fix that. Another 40 minutes and an entire second inspection then got more Crap attitude and zero apologies. DO NOT GO THERE...! read more

My husband and I always bring our vehicles here for our state inspections, oil changes, and my husband had the brakes done on his truck. They offer really good pricing, and coupons for every day services you need anyway. Staff is super friendly and not pushy to add additional services you don't need. I decided to do this and they "mistakenly" drained my transmission fluid instead of the oil. Now cannot figure out how to put transmission fluid back in my car. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I needed a state inspection and since Jiffy Lube was 1 of the few auto shops open on a Sunday, I stopped by. The location's convenient, clean, and seemed pretty new. It was apparent that they were quite busy because it took 5-10mins before someone returned to the shop to address waiting customers. I appreciated that the main guy (didn't catch his name) was transparent through all of it. He mentioned that they were grossly understaffed and it would be at least 15mins before they could get to my car, and then another 15 for the inspection itself. That 30min quote ended up being 45mins, so he wants too far off. Even in all the stress and the boredom of waiting longer than anticipated, the dude was pretty cool and friendly, so it wasn't too bad of an experience. All in all, I'd consider returning when I need another inspection, but maybe I'll download some shows off Netflix before leaving home to keep myself entertained. read more

Less than average oil change place. They are VERY expensive. They also try to upsell you on everything. I had changed my air filter a month ago yet they claimed it needed changing, same goes with brake fluid. The people working here definitely don't want to be there and the communication is lacking as well. Go someplace else. read more

First time at the McKinney location, I used to go to the Northlake location next to TMS when I lived over there. Loved the Northlake location, always great customer service, took great care of my vehicle. The McKinney location is certainly different, service on the vehicle was still quick. Pricing has seemed to increase (which who hasn't in this day and age) customer service was definitely a negative. Not all jiffy lube's are the same, I assume they're franchised. read more

I've always been told to place the insurance card on the dash and leave the keys in the car for inspections... Him: Where are the keys? Me: In the car. Him: That's not what you said the first time. Me: ?? Him: It will be 45 minutes. There are 2 cars in front of you.... Me: (I see 2 couples in the waiting room....) After 45 minutes.... That counter clerk gone. Now there's a new clerk. Me: Is my car ready? Him 2: No. It will be about 45 minutes. There are 3 cars in front of you..... Me: Really? I'm the only one in waiting area who was not here when I arrived.... How can that be? Him 2: Well.., they (presumably the customers who had already left) got oil changes.... Me: (To myself: So ? What does that have to do with the time I was was promised?) Him2: Do you want to wait? Me: After wasting your time and my time? For another 45 minutes? No thanks. Clerk 2: Have a nice day...... Stay away from this place if you expect reasonable customer service. And or honesty. Very kind people, prompt to getting the work done. I enjoyed talking with Dale there as he was working on my vehicle. I get alot of stink eyes from most mechanics if they see you hanging around watching your vehicle, but Dale was nice and enjoyed actually hold a conversation with me. I brought my car in on 11/8 because the engine was making noise. They said they didn't know what the sound was, but did notice that I had a broken AC unit. I asked if that would be a problem, they said "No, you just won't have AC." I went on a 3 hour drive the next day, and my serpentine belt snapped off...because the broken AC unit burnt it off. I had to cancel my event I was driving to because of the inconvenience. And the weird sound from my engine? There was no oil in my engine...they didn't check for oil when my engine was making this sound. Very frustrated with their service. read more

Pulled up this morning to get an oil change was a little surprised that nobody was in line and the store looked like it might be closed. I had just left a competitor down the street that had a line around the block that should've been my first red flag. When I pulled in they told me my oil change would start at $100 because my car required a certain oil blend Which is not a blend at all it's 100% synthetic oil. My car does not require 100% synthetic nor does it need it. When I told him what oil my car uses (I've been to over 20 Jiffy lube locations across the country, and they always have my oil) they told me Jiffy Lube does not carry a blend of synthetic. Also my car takes 6.6 L of oil so of course this oil change is about to sent me back a good $130.. when I asked him to please not do my oil change, I was met with an eye roll, and a car that was pulled out of the bay. At Mach speed. They seem very irritated with me, because they were unwilling to give me the right oil and I was an informed customer, I am never the one to say that women shouldn't get their own car repairs but unfortunately I really feel like they thought that I was stupid so I went 1 mile down the road to Valvoline. Needless to say not only were they kind funny and accommodating but I drove off for $65 oil change and my car is just fine.. Jiffy Lube you just lost a long time customer. But Valvoline down the street got me for life! read more

I recommend this place 100%. They were very polite and respectful towards me when i got my oil changed. I am a teenage girl and have no idea what to do and they helped me figure everything out. Oil changed for $55!! Amazing price and oil takes 15-30 minutes for them to do it. In the Bay it was very warm and comfy chairs to sit in. I thought it was gonna be a hassle to get my oil changed and really expensive but this wasn't bad for my first time. Recommend 100%, Employees are very respectful and fast at their job.
