Had an appointment at 10am for oil change . Didnt hear anything all day so i called, at 3pm. They said to pick it up at 4pm. I told them not to touch the car because I was going to pick it up. The car wasn't touched or even moved when I got there. The parking lot was maybe half full. 5 hours the car was left and they couldn't even change the oil. It takes 30-45 minutes to change oil at other places. I was offered a free oil change card that I didn't take. Never again will i take my car here. I made a 9 am appointment to get my a/c recharged. I figured I'd give Firestone my business, it's only the a/c. After waiting most of the day, I called only to find they had no clue as to how far along my car was in completion. Kyle said he'd call me back. After about 45 minutes I'm worried now. My boyfriend drives me there. When I get there, Kyle tells me they don't know if they'll get to my car that day. I start losing my patience and snapped at him "you had my car all day!" What's the point in making an appointment if they won't honor it? He goes to check, the car is hooked up to the a/c machine and the technician is out to lunch. My boyfriend is mad at this point and tells him to unhook it and we're outta there. Kyle unhooks it, we left, they didn't charge me. Now I'm not sure if the a/c was recharged. First off - YES I drove all the way out from Oakland to go here. Why? Because NO ONE else was willing to work on my clutch. I called around to at least 6 Firestone and Big O shops and none felt comfortable working on my Mazda. Ian said he could take care of it and was doing his own clutch there too - and he did, with flying colors. It took longer than expected, but he kept me posted every step of the way. My car ended up needing extra work, but he really made every effort to work with me on a tight budget AND offered some suggestions on things that could wait plus things that (if I took care of them now vs later) would save me money on labor. All in all, more work/cost than expected but incredibly happy to have it all done at once at a fair price. I feel for Ian - and I see some folks frustration with this shop - every time I've been in there they're understaffed and there's a line of folks asking for walk-ins. But he consistently treated every one of them with kindness and clarity, more than you could expect from the local coffee shop. While I was a bit bummed that it took so long, and that there was more to fix than expected (but seriously, when doesn't that ALWAYS happen?), the way I was treated was fair and respectful which goes a LONG way for any woman who walks into a mechanics shop. read more

Went in for an oil change, left with a oil leak. Took it back, same day, they said "someone" put an oversized oil plug in and that's why its leaking. Its a garage kept car, so I know it wasn't leaking until they got their hands on it. Of course they know I can't prove who stripped the drain plug by over-tightening it so they said "tough luck, not our fault" I asked if they replaced the washer and they said their mechanic (that's a Laugh!) always replaces the washer. When I took out the drain plug it was obviously not a new washer and they clearly lied! Well, You, Firestone, should have informed me PRIOR to changing the oil, that I had a replacement plug and that they sometimes leak, NOT after doing the work! Do not go to this location for alignment. Purchased the lifetime alignment from them because I knew I would need to go multiple time due to lifting my truck and making adjustments. These guys rush the jobs and do not make the necessary adjustments. My alignment was totally out of spec with them stating that I'm maxed out on adjustments. They left my alignment so off, my truck was completely pulling right. Do yourself a favor and go to concord. That shop took their time and go the numbers dead on. I have been coming here for close to 8 years and the service just gets worse and worse. We bought 4 new tires. The tire light indicator came on when I started the car. I was told by Ian it needs to adjust and be driven for at least 50 miles. I took it back again after 50 miles and given some other story. Ian don't even bother to look. I suspected that it is bc I am a woman. I took it back again and said I wasn't leaving till it was looked at. So low and behold the tire was defective. I could have been in an accident. I should have taken it to someone else but it was under warranty and brand new. I cant even give them another chance because they are dangerous read more

I had an appointment on 01-16-2018 at 2:30pm and because there was car accident, I was 20 minutes late. I talked to an employee named JOHN and he wasn't vert helpfull, instead, he was very rude and seemed like he had something against me. This wasn't the first time I have had to deal with his attitute. Last time I was here, he was giving me false information about the ways appointments work and refused to schedule me in, so I had to talk to a different employee which turned out to be very respectful and scheduled me in. I walked up to him and apologized for being 20 minutes late. I was explaining to him that it was because of a car accident and he cut me off and said "well... everyone else gives us a call to let us know" I respectfully told him that I didn't call because I was driving. John literally just stared at me with a grin on his face and said "oh well" I was confused and surprised so I wanted to clarify. Keeping calm, I told him that I had a long day and was just sitting in traffic for a long time, that I didn't appreciate the attitude. Raising his eyebrows and making a face at me, he said "there is nothing I can do at this point" so then I just walked away and talked to another employee. I asked him for the customer service number. It's not like me to complain, but I had enough. Everytime I walked into the store before this, John always made me feel like he had something against me, like I irritate him for no apparent reason. Unbelievably poor service from management. Brought my Chrysler 300 in for a standard alignment and left thinking all was good. Had ZERO pre-existing issues prior. Next thing I know my front passenger tire cannot hold air the next day. I have had to fill up my tire with air every 15 miles. I called Firestone and complained that they must have nicked my tire or did something to it for this issue to arise. Management refuses to accept the possibility that they may have done something. I asked at the very least for a free service to see if they could find the issue and they said no "its not our problem". I asked to speak to a manager and they said "why? We already told you no". On Sunday evening 30 minutes before closing I was faced with a tire that was down to the rim. I spoke with the Mgr. (Ian) who was kind enough to wait for me even though the shop was about to close. To make an already stressful situation worse in my effort to make it to the shop driving at 5 miles an hour I wound up driving past the store to another tire shop by mistake. I called and was directed to Firestones correct location. When I reached the store my car then overheated. This was turning into a horrible evening. I made an appt with Dan for the following Monday.Gil assisted me when I arrived for my appointment. My first visit was for a Diagnostic. They concluded that they didnt know what was wrong with my car, then offered to only charge me $50 instead of $100 for this service. Problem with that was they basically gave me no Diagnostic Report. It was incomplete. But my car wouldnt drive over 35 mph! Two days later I had a friend who is a mechanic ride with me in my car and he figured out I needed a catalytic converter within 10 minutes. I got a new cat. and bingo problem solved. I had to argue with Firestone so they wouldnt charge me for my Incomplete Diagnostic Test. My second visit there (should have never gone back)...the Manager was arguing with his Assistant Manager over some personal issue when I walked in. I ignored this and asked for a simple oil change. One hour later my car was ready. I drove to Concord (about 20 minutes) and my car started smoking! I pulled over, popped the hood and found my OIL CAP MISSING! These idiots forgot to put it back on and oil spilled all over my engine almost destroying my car. Luckily I had some baby wipes in the back seat to wipe the engine and a friend picked me up so I could go purchase an oil cap. I purchased an oil cap and some replacement oil and fixed the problem. Although I did have a little smoke as the rest of the oil burned off. Final Verdict. Unprofessional office staff/customer service and horrible mechanics. I had a flat tire, left my car half a block away and walk into Firestone. John, one of the service person, attended to me. Inspite of them being very busy and after knowing that my car is nearby, he went out of the store and walk with me to my car. I told him I called towing already but John said I might be able to drive the car to their shop. I drove the car with John looking outside to make sure everything is fine. I was able to drive the car to their tire shop. The overall service provided by John is exemplary. He went out of his way to help me. He was able to fit me in in their tight schedule. I have been here twice both times to have air put into my tire. The first time the man at the front desk was super polite and helped me right away but it took someone about 10-15 minutes just to do a 2 second job literally. Now today would be my second time here. A different man greeted me very rudely then after seeing I had an attitude about it he then corrected himself. Someone else ended up helping me and asked me to pull forward to get air put in the tire. It's been about 20 minutes I've been sitting here with my car running watching a man blow air into a glove, another walk back and forth on his phone, one eating and one literally sitting doing nothing. Took the car in for an allignment, which they did in a timely manner. Asked for the printout from the machine and they didn't have anything they could give me. The machine printout is so faded it can't be read. I found out a few months later my rear allignment was really off. I won't be going back there. This is the 2nd Firestone to rub me the wrong way, I think I can find a better place to take my cars. read more

Honest review, don't come here! I needed a tow and my car insurance recommended me to here because it was close by. I had a dead battery and needed a new one. I walked in and John the manager that was on duty gave me a dirty look and said he could not help me and that my car would need to stay overnight. I asked if he could take a quick look at it and he said I am completely booked we are so busy etc. I can understand but at the same time terrible customer service! I went in Tuesday to make an appointment for a Thursday 5/24/18. Was not even greeted, but got to the counter and an employee there was so rude and mention he will only speak to me when I'm not on my phone. So I got off the phone and he was still rude when I mention I came in for oil change for Enterprise car. He said it was 2 hours and I told him I was told 1 hour since I made an appointment. So I called Enterprise and ask them for a different place I can do oil change and the firestone employee kept talking to me and I told him please don't speak to me while I'm on the phone (just as he asked me not to do when I first walked in) so he keeps pushing his computer screen really hard to try and make a point that this is what his screen say on my appointment. I mention to him I don't understand what all those codes are so it don't do no good to show me because I'm not an employee there. He quickly gets on the phone with someone and looks upset. As enterprise gets back on the line with me to give me waiting time and places I can go I mention to them I will take the car elsewhere. As I walked out, the Firestone employee rudely says "have a nice day" so I told him same to you and hope your customer service gets better!! I will never take any cars to get service there it's rude when I first went there Tuesday to make the original appointment! Employees not happy and don't greet customers, possibly underpaid and over worked. This car was a rental from Enterprise and even though was not my money paying for it, I still wouldn't want to use anyone's money to go get service from Firestone at all!! I will make sure to let my family and friends know to not go there for service because employees are rude and has the shitty attitudes. Who knows what they will do to your car! And it could be just those 2 employees I came across but them 2 is enough to make the company look bad! I took my car to Firestone for a brake inspection due to slight vibration while braking. I own a 2015 Kia with 30k miles on it. They were on top of the basic customer service, I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in, employees were pleasant. When it was my turn, I was walked out to my car for the basic inspection( mileage etc.) and was immediately told I needed new tires.....tires that were replaced less than 6 months ago. I let them know that I JUST there for brakes, that anything else was out of the question. Ok great. I went home to wait for the phone call letting me 'know where things stood. I was promptly called back, 35-45 mins or so. I was then to,d that my basic brake job, was now going to cost almost 600 dollars. That my pads were worn all the way down, rotors were unable to be machined and needed replaced. I drive my car, if my brakes were that bad I would know, so I went to pick it up. I took it to the Kia dealer for another inspection. Kia let me know that my rotors are fine to be machined, and I that I have at least another 2k miles on my brake pads. Oh and my tires were fine. Vibration is due to hot spots on rotors, which will be fixed with machining. read more
