I advised my girlfriend to go to a Valvoline shop rather than pay twice as much at the mechanics and waste half a day. I was due up as well. She went last night to the Oakley location and thanked me later for saving her Saturday morning and a lot of money- found her a coupon online too. Unfortunately Vacaville doesn't have one but I went to the Oakley location today. The two technicians were super friendly, efficient and friendly. The service manager double checked their work and introduced himself, thanking me for the business. I moved up from Vista and found their service excellent there too. I had a wonderful experience today when receiving my oil change. The manager of the day, George, greeted me with a kind smile and kept me informed on timeframe and how long my service would take. All the of the employees were very efficient and fast. I was in and out in about 40 minutes which is really good in my opinion. I had a coupon too which was great because it saved me $20. I'm giving them 5 stars for my specific experience. I recently bought a 2009 Smart Car. I've always wanted one and was lucky to find one in great shape. I took it to Valvoline for an oil change and I called ahead to make sure they could do it. They said yes. I brought it in and their service manager, meen, (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong!) but he was amazing! He was the most knowledgeable about my little car. He told me to call the next time I bring it in to make sure he's there so it can get done! He also said to tell my other Smart friends that this Valvoline is the only place that will change oil on Smart Cars! Great experience! read more

The service and workers outside of ADAM specifically, were very nice, fast paced, and efficient. Adam however had an attitude as I drove in, he was TELLING me how I should turn the wheel but rudely. Another worker stepped in and EXPLAINED it kindly. He also had an attitude and was RUDE towards the sweet girl worker that was helping me when she had a question for him. Bad customer service and poor professionalism on his end he needs to work on that and his attitude towards his co workers. Other than that I recommend it here! read more

In the past I would've given Valvoline 5 stars because they were always friendly, fast, convenient and reliable, however todays oil change has me disappointed. I take both our vehicles here and have had the last several oil changes done at the oakley location. And after todays oil change I was made aware that my engine oil was leaking and it was coming from the drain plug. I was then asked where I last took my car for the previous oil change and I told them it was done with them, which records should show that's correct. Then I was told wherever I last took it for the oil it looks like they tried draining from the bottom in which they only evacuate oil from the top. It's pretty obvious the harm on the drain plug was done here because I wasn't made aware of this issue at the previous oil change here at Valvoline. It disappoints me when accidental incidents have no attempt to be made right or thoroughly explained. read more

NEVER INSTANT OIL CHANGES!!!! Have 4 family vehicles that we have been taking them there since when it was Oil Can Henry's. Now it is Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Last week I took my 1994 GMC C1500 full sized Pickup Truck there. I wanted the regular oil change and I had no coupon which was okay with me. There was a few autos in the bay. After they changed my oil the tech told me that I still needed oil? He said that he put in 4.5 qts of oil and he had to charge me for another quart of needed oil? Shady to say the least! I told him that I had been going there and never had they had a 4.5 qt oil max oil change on my truck.The manager said that is what their computer says to put in. My owners manual says 6 qts! By the time my truck's engine oil was finally changed 2.5 hours had passed at the "instant oil change business". Manager: Louis Okino you lost a good customer! read more

Very very long wait. I wouldn't mind if they let you leave the car so we could grab lunch nearby. No waiting room. They opened both bays to give impression it wouldn't be long, but they were short staff so they'd move their workers between both bays. There was a coupon but I think they might normally be more expensive then jiffy lube. read more

Waiting may be quite a bit, especially when there's a line and they got only two bays but once your in, the guys start working as fast as they can. Been here twice and the service is great. I would most definitely come back. read more

Been coming here for years - never again! Went last week and they didn't secure my skip plate, which resulted in it being damaged and having to be removed. They said they'd order me a new one but it would take a week or two because the manager was gone. In the meantime, something was still dragging while I drove. Only giving one star because I can't give zero. Let me start by saying that when this was Oil Can Henry, I came here with all my cars. My daughter brought her brand new 2017 car here and she doesn't even live in Antioch. It's just where we've always gone. She was driving on the freeway home and heard a flapping noise. They failed to secure her skid plate under the car and it was hanging off. The manager was extremely rude and I will be calling corporate tomorrow. Don't bring your car here.
