Unfortunately, I've had another disappointing experience at this Oil Stop location. At this point, it seems to be a recurring issue with attention to detail and staff not fully completing the services customers are paying for. I paid around $160 (before coupon) for a full synthetic oil change, and after getting home I noticed that only the tires on the left side of my vehicle had been adjusted. The two tires on the right side were completely missed. My dashboard tire-pressure readings clearly showed the difference. I understand that mistakes happen, but when you are charging customers this much for a service, basic items should not be overlooked which concerns me on a larger items. Customers should not have to go home and double-check whether the work they paid for was actually completed. What makes this more frustrating is that this is not the first issue I've had at this location but I'm all for second chances. For anyone considering coming here, I strongly recommend paying close attention to what you are being charged for and checking your vehicle before leaving to make sure every service you paid for was actually performed. read more

Quick, friendly and efficient service. I was greeted by a friendly young man and he explained to me the process (price, waiting time, etc) for an oil change. The estimated time was an hour but they finished within 30 minutes. An oil change with full synthetic products cost around $100. They topped off the coolant and checked my tires and cleaned the front and back windows. The waiting area was cool and clean and you can see the work area and keep an eye on their progress. There is a Valvoline shop around the corner that they are not affiliated with. This place has the Valvoline emblem because they use Valvoline products. Make sure you check the address of where you want to get services done. I usually go to this place because it's fast, but service has gone down quite a bit. Was in the waiting room and I asked if the techs there if they had wifi and he said "not for customers", then the tech comes in to tell me they can't remove the oil filter so they couldn't change my oil. This place used to be good, but not anymore. New techs don't know anything. Last time (a month ago) they over filled my Toyota Camry with oil and I had to dump little bit by myself. If they don't know how much oil has to be in the car so why are they doing this business??? Recently I brought my 1992 BMW here. The guy scanned my car and I was in line for 20-25 mins. Then he "checked" my lights on the car and said "perfect", but my a few lights were off. I didn't tell anything. When it was time for serving me three guys couldn't open my hood and I had to open it for them. Then the guy who was "checking" my car opened brakes fluid tank and was gonna put engine oil into it, but I stopped him. After 10 mins he said that they can't serve such cars, because it's bmw. I was like: ok, whatever, I'll go to another place. When I wanted to leave, another guys came to my car and almost broke my hood, because he was pushing to wrong direction. Very disappointed. My husband went last week and got an oil change and his truck started over heating the same day. He asked if all of his fluids were topped off and they said yes, we'll he had been driving with NO COOLANT. So now we have to repair his truck. I went in and got an oil change and tire rotation, as I was leaving it felt fine. The guy said all of my tires were inflated to 35. Iwoke up this morning to a completely flat tire and the remaining tires on my car all had different pressure amounts. So I am stuck home waiting for roadside to tow me to a tire shop. Do not... I repeat... DO NOT. Under no circumstance are you to step foot in this establishment. It's not worth your time or money. Don't get me wrong the team has great customer service, but that does not outshine their lazy work and poor attention to detail. I had a B1 alert on my Honda Civic (oil change & tire rotation) simple. I was in and out in about 30 mins... sounds great right?? Nope wrong. That was a terrible sign. I went in at 10:30am on a Saturday and there was no line. There were 3 other customers getting serviced, but no line. I'm assuming the rest of Antioch looked past the 4 star rating and read the reviews (which I wish I would've done) smh Long story short: -I got an oil change and tire rotation -Drove a few miles on hwy 4 and heard a weird noise.... (yup. you guessed it) My skid plate was dragging on the ground. It wasn't secured. I'm telling you don't go!! You work too hard to give your money to people too lazy to take their work serious. After reading the reviews I don't even trust them enough to go back and get it fixed. I've had bad experiences at concord and Walnut Creek Honda so off to San Leandro Honda I go. I met the character maximum for my original post so I'll be continuing my review here. Days later, My vehicle started having hesitation issues again. Obviously the original issue wasn't fixed. Clearly they don't know what the issue is and I wasted $500+ on a part that obviously didn't fix the problem. The last time I was there, Mike told me that if I had an issue again they'd give me a refund for the part. I called and Jeff said they would only consider giving me a refund if they test the vehicle again, which is what they've said twice now and they still haven't resolved the problem and or given me a refund. I've been back and forth too many times for them to keep running "test" just to keep having the same problem and worse issues. I also don't like having to constantly come back considering COVID-19 and the staff doesn't wear any sort of PPE when sitting in my vehicle. I ended up having to purchase a whole new vehicle back in March because what was supposed to be a simple fix, resulted in me not being able to safely drive my vehicle to the store without worrying about it shutting off, let alone driving it to work. Their adjusted "shelter in place" days/hours are inconvenient to essential workers like me because the days that I work conflict with their days and hours. I called Friday, 5/29 and Jeff told me to bring it in next week between Tuesday through Saturday, which doesn't make sense when they are open 5/30. Buyer Beware!! My daughter took her Honda to this business this morning for a simple oil change. They talked her into a tire rotation and on her way home she experienced a loud dragging sound underneath her vehicle. When she pulled off the FREEWAY to investigate a large piece of metal was detached from the bottom of the vehicle and dragging the ground. They probably did not tighten something correctly but it was definitely caused by this establishment because she has NEVER experienced anything this dangerous after receiving something as BASIC as an oil change. DO NOT PATRONIZE this business. Now she is sitting on the side of the road and of course they are CLOSED for the day. They have her skid plate dragging the ground and apparently they did it to another customer. read more

This is my first time here and I am absolutely amazed by how good my service was all around. First let me start off by saying it is so hard to find a place that is open on Sundays for servicing. I originally went to Big O (because mom told me to go there) but was turned away due to no appointment. In the search of a good service care, I found this place! I stopped in around 10:30 AM on a Sunday to do an oil change and check the tire pressure on my Honda. There was no wait. From the time he added me into the system to checking out, I only was there for about 30 minutes!! WOW. I stop going there one year ago and I wish I would have yelped my experience. I called the owner instead. They kept my car for a week and did not repair my vehicle. Mike thd mechanic told me if I did not like there service go take my car to the dealer. He was so rude. He said he did not know what was wrong with my vehicle after a week and he tried to charge me for the diagnostic test. I talk to Jeff and he did not show any empathy he told me it was like a person having cancer you know you have it but the doctor can't tell you why you have it. At that point I was done, that response did not make sense at all. That is when I called the owner. I took my car to the dealer and they repaired it with no problem along with great customer service. I waited a few days to calm down before positing this. I had called a head a week or two ago to set a time to get my front brakes changed out. I spoke to a guy on the phone who was pleasant and agreed not to charge me a tire rotation fee if I got my brakes done through them. That sounded fair and i thought I'd get an oil change also, since i was going to be there anyway. The day I brought it in, I called again to confirm what the guy had told me a week or so prior. Everything was still as he said. I brought it in and the apparent manager refused to not charge me the tire rotation fee even though I had been told that I would not be charged it if I agreed to let them do my brakes. It went back and forth for a few minutes and I asked them to talk to the owner who was on site. The kid at first refused and then disappeared into the shop after I insisted. While waiting, I thought about it and was furious. I'm about to spend several hundred dollars on brakes and an oil change, and they're sweating me over the cost of a rotation? Forget it. I took off. I've net the owner and he seemed squared away. But his management just list my business. I hope they get their act together and start communicating. Excellent honest friendly service every time I have been. They are great a mechanic was going to charge me $75 to change headlight because they said the battery had to be removed. I went here and the manager changed it for me from behind the tire wheel in 10 minutes and only charged me for the headlight no fees saving me almost $44. Two stars because they were super nice. However they spend so much time talking amongst each other and end up being so slow. 15 minutes is more like 35-40 minutes. If they worked as much as they talk to each other, the 15 minute window would be accurate. Very frustrating.
