Would not recommend. Came in with my engine light on just trying to figure out what's wrong with my car. My initial quote was 79.99 for a coolant pressure test, that was the only phone call I received from them. I called them back later to see how my car was, they then quoted me $2000. so naturally I didn't trust that so I decided to get my car towed to another shop just to double check before i spent $2000. When the tow company arrived they said firestone wouldn't release my car until my bill was paid. Called to pay what I was expecting to be the initial $79.99 but they then told me it would be $210. Then I fought over the phone with Mike, the service manager trying to figure out where this magical $130 extra charge came from. Turns out the girl who initially called me forgot to mention it and she, guess what, no longer works there. Firestone ended up taking the $79.99 charge off but I still had to pay the $130 for them to release my car. Here's the kicker, got it towed to a locally owned mechanic, and they quoted me $750.88. Overall awful customer service, and tried to over charge me. My advice: go to firestone if you want to be overcharged and left in the dark. read more

This is actually a review for the Firestone at Anderson Mill and 183. I went to this Firestone, on Oct 27th, when I had a flat. After determining my problem tire was only a bad valve stem, they remounted my tire and didn't charge me a dime! AFTER being told by the discount guys I needed 4 brand new tires... REALLY!!! I had a flat on one tire. Yes, I gave them the review they earned! Yes, I will need new tires... Forget discount, I'm going to FIRESTONE first from now on!!! You should too!!! read more

Employees were very nice but they take way too long. I came in for a simple oil change and it took 5 hours on a weekday to not even get my car in the bay and for me to finally call it and leave. Didn't end up getting the oil change done here because of the wait. Shop workers don't seem to move too quickly and wasn't told that it would take this long or I would've gone elsewhere. read more

I called on 6-19-18 at 4:40pm and asked if I could get my car inspected, I was told yes, I asked what time they closed, they said 7:00. I got there the guy told me they couldn't do it because their inspectors left at 6, I arrived right before 6 and the guy said they had 2 cars ahead of me. Not sure how they could be doing the 2 cars when it was already almost 6. He told me they had 2 cars at 4:40 when I called and mentioned nothing about his guys leaving at 6. I guess they always have 2 cars right up until 6. I certainly didn't feel like arguing with the guy after a long day at work which I left early to try to get this done. UPDATE: I've added on a star because I feel like Chris, the manager, genuinely tried to reverse this situation for me by reaching out and offering to personally set up my appointment with some major discounts and promising that my car would be prioritized and the wait time would be next to nothing. Ultimately I did return to get my tires and alignment and the discounts were applied as promised. Unfortunately, it still seemed like the same thing was about to happen to me. My appointment was at 2 pm, I showed up and dropped my car off, asking how long it should be. They said it would be atleast an hour to order the tires in and then an hour and a half for the work so they quoted me 4:30. I'm a little thrown already because Chris and I spoke about the exact tires I wanted. 4:30 is fine though, I decided to get a ride home. 4:30 comes and nobody calls, so at 5 I call and ask about my car. They said nobody had even looked at it yet. So my car sat there for another three hours with nothing and they now close in two hours. I asked if it would be done today and was told "it should be, I don't think it should stay overnight but I'll call you and let you know." Now seeing the same exact situation develop before me, I explain on the phone that Chris personally put this together for me because of what happened last time. And that this is what happened last time. I was then told it would be done today. At this point it's hard for me to believe that so I ask for Chris and he's not there. I called every store in the area because I remember him saying he manages two stores, and no other store knew of him. I desperately called the 1-800 number on the firestone website and explained what was happening. They said oh let's try and call Chris which I had obviously done. In the end they ended up calling the store and getting a firm yes that my car will be done by the time they close at 7 pm. I show up at 7 and they're finishing it up. The lady at the counter was apologetic and kind. I ask for copies of the work order and when I'm looking at the alignment I can see they only touched one wheel. The other three have the same exact numbers, one of them still on the actual edge of being considered hazardous. So I'll need to go back for another alignment very soon. I guess I now see why they gave me the lifetime alignment warranty for the price of a single alignment. Still insanely disappointed in this place. The first visit I was willing to write off as a bad day but if this is how they "prove themselves" I will not be rewriting the whole review. ORIGINAL: Made an appointment to have two tires put on and possible alignment. It was for 4 pm. I called the morning of, at 7 am to confirm the appointment and make sure they have the tires in stock that I need. That actually suggest I move my appointment earlier to 2:30. They order the tires in from a sister store. I drop my car off at 2:30 and they tell me they're really slammed but give them a few hours. I was given a return time of 6 pm on the piece of paper outlining what would be done. Not desirable, but I know they're busy. I Uber home. I call at 6 pm after hearing no word back. They try to up sell me on two more tires then eventually let me know my car wouldn't be done until tomorrow and asked if I could leave it overnight. I told them no, I have a job to get to in the morning, and they say the techs have left and there's no way to get my car off the rack tonight. He assured me He'd call back soon. Never got a call. Knowing they close at 7, I get my return Uber and arrive back at 6:30. There's a technician who can get my car down, great news. Absolutely nothing was done to my car in the four hours it sat there, not great news. The guy in the front tried to get me to bring it back tomorrow, saying he would make it a priority. I told him if he can't assure me that I'm not going to waste more time and money tomorrow to have the same thing happen, I had no interest in returning. He couldn't make any promises. I'm now $30 and 4 hours shorter and still need tires. Thanks. read more

So much love to this place. Their customer service is exceptional. I came in because I needed my tires aired up and had been to a couple of gas stations but the machine was broken. Finally just stopped here at Firestone and they just pulled my car in and corrected the tire pressure within minutes. Definitely going to be a returning customer! Technician broke the sensors on the tires when replacing the two tires I bought. Had to go back to the shop not once but three times in order to fix the problem. Rodger the manager did not want to admit and tell me that they broke my sensors and instead wanted me to just sign and leave the shop. They also said that in order to fix the sensor I would need an alignment and oil change. Those two things did not play a factor in why my TPS light was on but they wanted to charge me for as much as they could in order to pay for the $80 dollar sensor they had to give me. It was a horrible experience and I would have no confidence that any technician at the shop could fix any problem, and instead want to make suggestions for the vehicle in order to profit. read more

I just want to take a moment to recognize this Firestone location, Camry and Kenny have astonishing customer service, I dropped off my Corolla with them and was expecting to be there a few hours, not but 35 minutes later did they call me back saying it was ready. I've never had this fast of service elsewhere. What I would like to note on this location as well is there standard for covid-19 , everyone on there team is following the cdc guidelines (masks, social distancing, sterilizing and plastic covers inside the car) this alone is better than most major stores are doing period. I get to this Firestone and tell the front person that all I need is a simple state inspection. He says he'll take care of me so I wait. Wait and wait and wait. ........ Hour and a half goes by, and I felt I was patient enough. So I ask someone what's going on? He goes, would you like to take your keys? It's gonna be awhile. I ask him how much longer. He says another hour and half. I proceed with storming out and asking why didn't you tell me it would be a 3 hour wait for a state inspection!!! He shrugged and agreed I should be upset. I got my oil changed at a Jiffy Lube a few days ago. Turns out they just straight up forgot to bolt the splash shield back into place and a few days later I noticed the shield dragging on the ground under my car. Brought it into this Firestone and they were super busy and I fully expected to have to leave my car there and pick up later but someone working there (sorry I didn't get his name!) just volunteered to run out and look at it. He found the right bolts, shimmied under my car in the parking lot, and fixed it in a few minutes at no charge. Everyone else working there was really nice too. I appreciate y'all!! read more

I guess I did not learn my lesson and brought my car back here again. I spelled out exactly the issue I was having, replicated it for a tech in the parking lot and still was charged for a non issue item. It even states the correct direction on the "customer notes" section. Work was done, spoke with someone who says they found the issue so I authorized the work. They make you pay before getting your keys back and fill the garage so you can't have them recheck it. All I got was a mean mug and quickly ushered out. Do you guys just hire inept people? Did an oil change for my spouse car and car started leaking oil. To the extent , today car dashboard issued a warning that oil level dropped. I brought my son's car in for an engine light fix. Noticed not all the AC fan settings were working, so I asked them to look at that as well. They told me the AC wasn't working at all, and that it needed a new compressor and accumulator, to the tune of $1400. My son insisted the AC was working before we brought it in, so I took it to my normal mechanic. He said that "the bolt that holds the AC clutch front plate on compressor" was missing, replaced it for a pittance, and the AC works great now. I can't help but note the sequence: AC works; Firestone opens my hood; Firestone says AC not working and $1400 will fix it. My guy finds bolt is missing and replaces bolt. AC works again. So one of two things occurred: 1) the bolt was in fact missing before, miraculously didn't affect the AC until that day, and Firestone neglected to notice that this was the problem; or 2) The bolt wasn't missing before, and Firestone removed it, either intentionally or unintentionally, then proceeded to misdiagnose the problem. Either way, me trusting their assessment and going forward with the work would have meant that I spent $1400 that I didn't need to spend. read more

I called to service my tire under warrently for leaking and I was told to come in before they close at 7pm. I arrived at 6:38 pm. But I was told by Randy that they could not service my vehicle because they will close at 7m. I told him that I called earlier before I came in and I drove 40 minutes. He asked me when the tire started leaking. I told him it started few days. He was telling me that I should not have waited this long to bring it 20 minutes before they close. What a terrible service. I am always so hesitant going into any mechanic shop and I was at first with this one HOWEVER- they have earned a long term customer. Michael really knows how to run a shop. I had a flat and ended up buying 4 new tires. They worked with my schedule and were very accommodating. When I got there they took my car back early, put my donut and tools back on my trunk (under all of my stuff where it belongs) put my hub cap that was in my trunk back on, and wiped down my tires. The place is clean and everyone is very friendly. I will be recommending this place to everyone. Way to go guys! read more

OMG!! I am fuming! I scheduled an appointment for 10/6/22 for oil change & tire rotation. I called on 10/4/22 @ 9:13am & spoke to Brandon. I asked if I could drop off my car on Wednesday evening since my appointment was for 8am Thursday. Sure, no problem, just put your key in the drop box. That's what I did although I put it in wrong & it didn't go in the right slot. So at 2:00 Thursday, haven't heard anything so I called. Rebecca put me on hold for 10 minutes & came back & said the technician found my key outside the box just now. Then it was her service manager that found the key. Still nothing by 5:20 so I got a ride to go pick it up. Car was not touched in those 3 hours either. The employee that waited on me cared nothing about my car not being touched, just wanted to show me where I put the key in wrong. I told him that I had an 8am appointment. He said we saw that. So why didn't someone call me if you couldn't find the key. No they just wanted to let me know I put the key in the wrong place. No one communicated with me even though he kept saying Can I communicate with you? Knew what kind of car I had scheduled, sitting in the parking lot, had my phone number but no questions & here I thought they were smart enough to communicate!! I've been coming to this place for the past few years and have been pretty happy. Let me preface by saying that I am a pretty hardcore gear head. I've always almost worked on my own cars - all the way down to rebuilding engines and replacing transmissions over a weekend. I know how I want it done and I'm pretty particular. Of course, at some point using a pry bar, hairspray and a lighter to mount tires lost it's appeal. As always I am weary of using a repair place. I'm kind of like a feral cat cat receiving food from a stranger - I'm cautious and I won't take my eyes off you. That being said, I've always received friendly and timely service, the prices are fair and the results are professional. Most recently I had the tires replaced, balanced, and alignment done on my 2013 Mazdaspeed 3, and a rare first - I had them change my oil. I recently moved to an apartment (for the next year) and with all my tools in transit and no real place to do the work, I broke down and had this simple service down. It was done quickly (before they promised actually) and everything was as quoted and after a thorough inspection it was done right. No scuffs on the rims from mounting, no dripping oil from the change, and the oil level was spot on. In addition - previously an ex-girlfriend had work done on her much older econobox. They took great care of her and actually took the time to explain everything they were doing and I can verify (withing my abilities at least) they were not trying to tack on anything extra. It always tells me a lot when a repair place makes a single young woman feel good about her transaction and doesn't try to take advantage. Did they offer "preventative" services to both of us? Of course. Is it absolutely necessary? Not always, but I have never felt pressured to get anything extra done. read more

They welcome you right when you walk in... have cable TV & free Wifi & complimentary water, and I didn't see any up-selling going on. What could have been better: 1) had little white scraps all over my car after they were done... (figured out later it was probably the inspection sticker that they scraped off) 2) you will definitely be waiting a while...I was there for over 2 hours... ...but worth it to me if they care about me & my car. I was very disappointed with my last visit to this Firestone. I needed to purchase a couple of tires for my Scion TC. I decided to ask for a brake check because my front brakes began squeaking. I left the car there and decided to get a few things done in the meantime. It was really important for me to leave the car in great working and reliable conditions as I was getting ready to leave town for work and my fiancé would be using the car. I received a call about an hour to closing time and was informed that my front brakes were perfectly fine. It was the rear brakes that needed the work. I questioned the mechanic and informed him that the front brakes were the ones squeaking. He assured me those were perfectly fine and asked if I wanted them to repair the rear brakes. I said yes of course. This is what the car needs in order for my fiancé and I to be comfortable while I am away. I finally went and picked up the car right before closing and as I was getting home, the brakes were still squeaking. I immediately called and informed them of the situation. They mentioned they were getting ready to close and would need me to bring the car back in the next day for a check up. I was really irritated at this point because I informed them I would be leaving town for almost 2 months and wanted to make sure my car was reliable for my fiancé. They obviously serviced my rear brakes knowing that I would be back to have the front brakes done. I am really hesitant now of getting any kind of service at this location. That is really shady in my opinion and extremely unprofessional. The least I expected was the manager to apologize and offer to repair what I originally asked for at no charge but that did not happen. I do NOT recommend this firestone to anyone. read more

My Yelp account has sat dormant for well over a year now, but I had such a marvelous experience at Firestone today that I had to write a review. Clearly, I am not the only person obsessed with the place. Here is my story: My sister is borrowing my car for an interview out of town tomorrow, and when she caught sight of my car's front tires -- which, fine, I had ignored to the point that the outside treads were about as smooth as the wheels on roller skates -- she got all panicked. What she said was not, "OMG, I will die," but it was close. So I hopped online and bought a set of Bridgestone Ecosomething tires from Costco. We took the car there only to learn that the tires I had ordered were neither in stock nor would not be for several days. The dude at the counter sent us to the Costco in Cedar Park, which had told him they had the tires in stock, but after we drove 25 minutes to the other location we learned that the tires in question had already been promised to another customer. It was Sunday, so all the Lamb and Discount Tire stores I could find online were closed, and Wal-Mart could only sell me its generic Douglas tires. On a whim we pulled into Firestone. It was 3:30, and I was completely sure whatever they would want to sell me would be unaffordable. But as it turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong. The store had exactly the same tires I wanted in stock and promised to install them same-day. The guys at the counter asked what price I had nearly paid at Costco -- and then gave me an even lower one! They said it would take about two hours to complete the work because there were a couple of cars ahead of mine, so my sister and I walked to SuperTarget. We had time to heave only a couple of sighs of relief into our lattes at the Starbucks there before the store was on the phone: Tires cheaper than expected and installed in just over an hour. I couldn't believe our luck. You may have gathered from the lack of attention I pay my poor Cobalt that I do not spend much time in auto service shops. I do not have a favorite dealer or shop that I take my car to for maintenance and care, and I tend to stop at whatever place is open and convenient. Moreover, to my father's dismay, I am shameless and promiscuous concerning types and brands of oil. So I think it is quite the compliment that when I picked my car up today I found myself thinking -- for the first time since I moved to Austin almost six years ago -- that I might bring it back someday. I used to go to the Firestone Downtown on S. Congress and they were always reliable. I no longer work there and so here by my new job I visited this location for the first time today. Yesterday I was advised to be at the door a few minutes before 7 because they fill up fast with walk-in's. This is good advice. I needed a headlight bulb installed before 8 and had been told they had it in. Randi who is at the desk was helpful and assured me it would be ready. She came back to me at 7:30 and said a mistake had been made. The new bulb was on the way but I'd likely be a few minutes late to work. Clearly she felt bad, and sincerely so. This is the mark of good people at your business. Mistakes get made, but how you handle them makes every difference. So I walked to work and then back at lunch and it wasn't a big deal. I was surprised that Randi gave me a deal on the job that I won't disclose because it was really above & beyond what was called for. So I'm writing to thank Randi and the entire staff at this location. They have my loyalty and I'll be back. read more

Worst experience ever. I usually go to the Parmer and 1431 location, have since its opened, however this location is closer so I figured I would give it a try. Hands down the worst experience ever compared to the other location. They were disorganized and flat out distracted through and through, form the minute I walked in at 10:40am for an 11am appointment. I scheduled two appointments for oil changes, one at 11 for one car, one at 1pm for the other two days previous. Giving two hours between appointments because I was told it usually is an hour and a half or less. When I walked in, my first appointment had been put under a lady in Norfolk, VA, no big deal. Michelle was just going to leave it that way and I complained enough to say I want my new car that I am bringing in to by under my name and my account, not Beverlys in Virginia. Michelle went ahead and fixed it the right way, Michelle checked me in, which unnecessarily took forever, and during the checkin process I notice she marks the work order and customer refused courtesy check, oil change only. I said, no I don't refuse it, we are low on washer fluid too. She asks "You want them to top off the washer fluid?" I said, "yes, I want the full service". She noted my account. Then, after finally checking in, she told me an hour and a half. I said "thats fine, I have an appointment at 1, I will be back then", thats two hours. I pull up and instantly can see that my Jeep had not moved. The wheels were turned exactly as I had them when I got there. So I walked in, Michelle said "you are here to pick up your car?" I said, "Yes, also to drop off my other car for the oil change appointment at 1". Michelle then goes quiet, walks to the garage, wanders for a minute, walks back in, answers the phone, walks back to the garage, got on the phone again, just wandered. I knew at this point I was right, my car hadn't been done yet. In fact, it hadn't even moved as suspected. She finally comes back in and says "you're next". LOL. So nonchalant, like no biggie, surely not going to address the issue at hand. I just shook my head and said "I need my key back, cancel my 1 pm appointment as well." I think the part that super frustrated me was the lack of give a crap. No sorries, no acknowledgement of the situation, just flat out couldn't care less. Never said a word in fact. Just went and got my key, came back and handed it to me, never one single word. Again, I read some reviews here and thought, I'll give it a shot. Big mistake. Never disregard reviews. If they were that inept checking me in and at communication, they surely don't belong in or under my car. read more

I never thought I'd be that person - 30 years old, reviewing an auto care shop on yelp, but here I am. I always assume 3 things when I go to an auto care place: - they will find more things wrong with my car - they will overcharge me - they will realize I have no clue about cars because I referred to something as "the thingy" and thus will overcharge me and find more things wrong with my car Not only was that not the case at this Firestone, but the staff were all very friendly and they were honest and upfront with me about the cost to fix my air conditioner and how they'd have to wait for the part to come in. I was upset because I was about to go on a road trip and wanted my car fixed before said trip. A few days later they called me because the part came in early and even though they were shorthanded, were able to get me fit in the same day and get me on my way. I was able to bring my laptop and work while waiting on my car to be fixed. Every time a technician walked in, they greeted me and gave me an update on my car. I assume it is the same way a parent feels when their child is in the hospital (except not at all). Overall, I was very pleased with Firestone for my auto needs and will be back - but hopefully not soon - you hear that car? read more

Firestone, in general, has always been overpriced on most of their services. For this store, in particular, I've never had any issues with the service, other than the aforementioned pricing frustration. However, last week, I took my girlfriends truck to this location to get an oil change, tire rotation, and a brake inspection. The brakes had been grinding ever so slightly when we took it in, so we wanted to get an idea of what we'd be looking at for repair costs when we decided it was time to get them done. It took the guys about fifteen minutes to come in to see what we needed because they were too busy throwing tires around (not for work purposes.) They had about three hours to work on it before the close of business on that Saturday, and they never got to it. They didn't call us, we had to call them. They then promised us it would get looked at first thing in the morning on Sunday, but when Sunday rolled around, they didn't get to it until about 3 hours into their day. Again, they didn't call us, we had to call them, towards the end of the business day, to find out what was going on with it. They said we had x, y, and z wrong with the brakes and they had everything taken apart, ready to "fix" it. We told them we were going to hold off on it, and we'd be there in a little bit to pick it up. When we picked the truck up, right away, we noticed a difference. The breaks were grinding without even pressing them, and it only got worse over the next two days of very light use. I'm extremely unimpressed with this company as far as pricing goes, but very disappointed in this location's service. They've got a bunch of young guys there that don't really have much experience, taking people's cars apart and not knowing how to put them back together properly. read more

I have called them on Sunday 9/20 afternoon 3PM when most tire store are closed. I had problem to pump the air to one of my Nissan Roque tire. I needed a car battery and an inspection. Thought I could get both done at once. Unfortunately, the following problems occured: 1) easy to schedule an appointment online but 2 days in advance is the earliest you can book 2) online price quote is WAY different than the walk-in price! 3) they changed the battery first. This reset the computer codes and prevented the inspection. Now I must drive 100 miles before the inspection can be done. I left feeling I'd been totally flim-flammed :( read more

Popped a tire on 620/parmer because of a pothole caused by all the rain. Called these guys, had my car towed here, they took care of me right away. Brian is knowledgeable and a straight shooter. He never tried to sell me something that I didn't need. He made suggestions but didn't push me into anything. These guys are amazing and so helpful. I never felt pressured or like they were hustling me. They're reasonably priced and fair. They are so busy but I never saw him turn anyone away. He gave them a fair time quote and stuck to it.
