I took my car for a tie rod end. It was installed improperly. And customer service has been no help

Called before I came and was told a hour and a half to install new tires . I told her I could be in in ten minutes. No problem . Got here at 2:45 and here it is 4:48 and they are just getting my car to the bay . If I'd know this I would have gotten dropped off but no ; they just tell you anything. Lesson learned. read more

I haven't had a bad experience to give a bad rating. Just noticing differences between Firestone and Goodyear around the corner on Coursey. Tried Firestone a few minutes after 8am this morning (they open at 7), and they told me that my car would be there all day. I have a Fleet vehicle (work car), so that wasn't appealing to me. The person seemed slammed as the phone was ringing away with another customer in the lobby telling me that he hadn't seen anyone yet. Drove around the corner to Goodyear and was told no one was ahead of me, so they could do it in about 30 minutes (except the awaiting approval for the Fleet company takes minutes to hours). They consistently walk out to assess my car as soon as I show up vs Firestone that seemed to busy to do that. Again, I imagine they are both great. Firestone has better hours (as they open at 7 instead of 8 like Goodyear) and are open on Sundays, but I really love the efficiency and customer service at Goodyear. read more

Every time I've tried getting work done here or scheduling a service the older gentleman at the front desk has made it obvious I'm inconveniencing him greatly. At first I thought it was just me but after trying to get work done here to no avail multiple time I've realized their customer service is sub par. The shop seems to be consistently busy so it's obvious the guys actually doing the work are good at their jobs but man, I would never try to do business here again. read more

I pulled in with a small nail in an almost new tire which I thought they would simply plug. Instead, they tried to take the tire off the rim and slashed the sidewall while trying to do so. I had researched via youtube how to plug the small hole and it did not require tire removal, but they said it was their store policy to do a "patch" instead of a "plug". Guess the price difference??? They did agree to replace the tire, but I had to call the local dealership to locate the tire. My husband had to pick up the tire and deliver it. All 4 of my metal valve caps were replaced with cheap plastic ones when I got my car back. I've had to call the dealership to order new ones. When I gave them my keys upon arrival, there was my house key on the chain. When I got my keys back, my house key had disappeared. There is no way I would ever go back there again. Now I've had to hire a locksmith to rekey my home. That evening I had several family members over and I was telling them about what happened. They all seemed to know to avoid that place. I have used these folks twice now for tires and have been pleased each time. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it takes all day to get your car serviced (they stay super busy) and this past time, I wanted to keep my one good tire but they forgot and almost gave me the wrong one. PSA: DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS FIRESTONE. In the past,this firestone was absolutely amazing w/ customer service. Today,I took my car in to ask about a tire. Richard,the white male receptionist,not only told me my questions didn't make any sense, he did his absolute best to not help me. When I told him I called another firestone on Monday but appeared at this firestone on jones creek on Wednesday & informed him of me wanting a new tire,this man told me I should have just taken my car to another firestone. Also,there were 2 other receptionist in the area. Only 1 of them was genuine & wanted to help,granted he was in the far corner of the room. I am not even if African American descent but the way that Richard & the other receptionist treated their black customers was absolutely appalling. They were rude,mean, & made it known they did not want to help. Do yourself a favor & pick another firestone. I am following up my review with the corporate office bc my experience at this Firestone on Jones Creek was absolutely unacceptable. read more

Went in with a screw in the tire, just right of the centerline of the tire. I saw the screw's position. The gentleman came in and said it wasn't repairable and that I would need a new tire, preferably two because that's what's recommended. He said it was too close to the sidewall which was a bald-faced lie. He then pulled out a chart showing what they'll repair and it is basically a narrow strip down the middle of the tread. Absolutely ridiculous. Their act borders on extortion. I don't know if he saw my open credit on the Firestone account and figured I was dumb and could be taken advantage of on a slow day or what. I couldn't believe it. I declined and went down the road to an independent shop who laughed and promptly repaired my tire. Firestone lost a customer for life. read more

I have never been so aggravated by a business in my life, this is the 2nd time I have tried to have a tire repaired there, the first time I was told that I would have to buy a tire because the damage was too bad(only brought the wheel in) this time my daughter brought the car and they say it needs 3 tires!! I bought a tire from them in January and lo and behold that was the only good one. what they failed to notice was that 2 of the 3 he wanted to replace were also from firestone but from siegen ln store and were purchased in Jan of 2017. When confronted with this information he said well I dont know how she drives maybe she is spinning the tires trying to explain the wear on the rear tires. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Although I do my own maintenance. I had to take my car here because of something I didn't have the appropriate tools for. I don't normally trust places like firestone, jiffy lube, Ect; because usually they preform your maintenance then telling you things "that's wrong with your car" to make more money. But they were generous enough to return my car to me without making me pay because even they didn't have the equipment to fix my car. Much respect to these gentlemen here. I recommend this place to anyone. Next time I need help doing something I cannot preform or if it's an emergency I will return to this location. read more

These guys have: * Screwed me on my warranties * They don't honor their own system of rotating and balancing for free if all of your tires were purchased through them * They've tried to sell me stuff that I knew I didn't need * I asked them to perform a simple task of removing a bolt I couldn't get lose, picked up my car only to find out they didn't do it. I gave them more than enough opportunity to be trustworthy and they failed every time. Their only redeeming quality is they're fast (probably why they suck so bad) and if you're a pretty girl they'll hook you up. read more

PSA: So this morning I go and get 2 new tires from Firestone off of Jones Creek. I get there at 9:45a and leave at 12:15p. Had to wait no big deal. I get in the car and leave. I get back home and start looking at my new tires. And I am beyond F*UCKING PISSED!! Not one but both of my rims are chewed to HELL AND BACK!! So I take pics and head back up there. I go in and ask for the manager, assistant manager and whatever tech they had doing my tires. The look on the managers face said it all. We go out and the first thing out of his mouth as we WERE walking up to the car is we didn't do it. Really?!?!?! Then explain to me why both of my back tires have the same damn chewed up marks. His reply it was like that and the reason it looks bad is because it is dirt. We argued back and forth and as he was walking away said good luck f*cking proving we did it. I know my car I drive it EVERY DAY!! My rims were not like this. And I think it is pretty f*cked up that they destroyed them with a smile on their face. Never did I think that I needed to go stand at the bay door and watch them put tires on a rim. It is there damn job!! So if you use these idiots for ANYTHING make sure you stand at the bay and watch their EVERY MOVE!! And take pictures of your vehicle before they touch it!! read more

Honestly don't know how this place is still in business. These ignorant, stealing people will rip you off in a heartbeat. Went in yesterday for a patch, dropped off my car, and understood that because I dropped it off it would be the last on their list to do, totally fine. Wokeup today to a call saying I needed THREE new tires. And they refused to patch my ONE tire unless I bought three new ones from them. See yeah not gona work. One of those three I bought from them not even a year ago, and when I told them that they backed tracked and said that one was fine and that I only needed two. Lmfao. Stupid stupid stupid. This place will try to rip you off in a heartbeat. I went once to get my brakes changed because the calipers had seized up and I didn't have the tools to get them off at home. I generally do all my automotive work, so I know a lot about cars. After keeping my car most of the day, they called me and said I needed to come in so they could ask me something. When I got there, they handed me a sheet listing about 70 things "wrong" with my car that needed to be "fixed" before they could do my brakes. The estimated total for all of that work was $2,700. I read down the list and started laughing. The things were ridiculous, including such work as a $50 radiator flush (I had flushed my radiator not a month before), new catalytic converter (only about a year old at this point), wiper replacement (couple months old), and a myriad of other things that either I had fixed withing the last couple years, or weren't broken to begin with. I told them I wanted none of that, I just wanted my brakes changed and that was it. They informed me they would not change my brakes unless I got the rest of the services. I told them give me my keys and I was leaving, and they said it would be $25 for the inspection they had done on my vehicle to make the list. I told them I hadn't wanted that in the first place, they said it is mandatory. It took about 45 minutes of arguing with the manager before they finally released my car to me without me having to pay. A few weeks later, I noticed they had stolen the tire iron out of my trunk. These people are scumballs. I took my car to Rossi automotive in saint amant and they fixed my brakes for me. They are distant relatives of mine, so I personally feel like I can absolutely trust them with my auto work, even though it costs more than places like Firestone. I will never go to firestone again. read more

Our vehicles have been serviced here for more than 10 years. Within the past two years we noticed one particular vehicle we have was in and out for minor problems that cost much more for labor than the actual part, and it was always within only a few months of our last visit. We keep our vehicles maintained as they are relied on to get us to our jobs that support our family, and we carry our child in on a daily basis. This is an older vehicle, 2008, but has decent miles, 65k, so I gave the shop the benefit of the doubt thinking our vehicle was just getting older with more issues. This particular instance we were told the vehicle needed a $50 part which required extensive labor, and was causing a code to keep reading as a misfire creating the check engine light to come on. I looked more into the part and found that the issue is very rare, but does happen. Due to the frequent issues and this particular diagnosis being a rare occurence I had a family member with extensive mechanical knowledge look at it. The part we were told needed to be replaced is fine and you can visibly see there is nothing wrong with it (it was tested as well, and perfectly fine), and the actual issue was 2 bolts were loosened that require a tool to get loose. Due to these specific bolts being loosened this is what was causing the misfire and code to appear, and the date of when this began was immediately after we had the vehicle serviced at your shop bc apparently there's a computer that can check that information. We had the bolts tightened and a broken cap changed that wasn't even mentioned by the shop for a mere $15, and now there is no code and the vehicle is running great again. Very angry, because it would appear this was done intentionally due to specific bolts required to be loosened by a tool for this to have happened. Had we had the part changed as recommended by your shop and not had the real issue fixed (that was caused by a person not the actual wear and tear of a vehicle) it would have caused additional damage to a gasket in a few months so we'd be back in the shop again and long term it would've possibly caused major engine issues. After 10 years of loyalty and trusting our vehicle to this location we will not be returning and we will definitely use word of mouth to share this experience, because misdiagnosing vehicle problems for what appears to have only been done for labor profit is not okay. The financial aspect is frustrating not knowing exactly how much unnecessary money we have spent here, but the most infuriating part is that the safety of this vehicle carrying my family was obviously not taken into consideration. read more
