Been coming to this establishment for the last 3 to 4 years I have nothing but good things to say about the workers, especially Angel and Jason and William . They do a phenomenal job getting me in and out and reassuring me that my car will get done within the same day. If not, they'll make sure that I have no issues at all with my vehicle I came in today. Angel wasn't able to assist me so I went to the young lady and had asked for a quote on my vehicle and when I was asking questions on what type of work had to get done, she had given me an attitude and sucked her teeth as ever, though she didn't want to do her job. DO NOT PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AT THIS LOCATION. I am shocked by the incompetence of this location and the complete lack of service. They will do everything to your car and charge you for it, but not the one thing that you actually need. I went to Firestone in Bloomfield for an oil control valve replacement, due to the diagnostic codes. They insisted on doing their own diagnostic, and charging me over $100 for it. They never showed me the results of their diagnostic, but they told me that the oil control valve was fine, and that they needed to replace other items that did not show up in my code, costing over $1000. After the hefty cost and days lost to waiting around the area, the check engine light back on. So I brought it back. And it went on again. They told me that the manager would contact me, and that was over a month ago and no one contacted me. Finally, I went to another auto body shop, paid for a diagnostic (again), and they determined that I needed an oil control valve replacement. Just like I said in the first place. I spent the money on it, and now the check engine light is off and the car is driving fine. Customer Support assured me that they would contact me to remedy the situation. I booked an appointment online for brake service and got an email confirmation. But when I showed up, I was told their online system 'doesn't work'--despite them having my appointment on their screen, they acted like it was my fault. Calls to book appointment for tire rotation and balance are always bumped to "maybe next week". I have a lifetime pre-paid policy that Firestone seems reluctant to honor. At a competing tire company, my other vehicle enjoys prompt service as in: "please drop off your car in the morning. "We will get to it today and call when it is done." Went for simple oil change. Attempted to pay with Firestone card. Employee requested my social security number to verify. I felt that was suspicious and called corporate office. This is apparently a policy that is optional for store owners. I will not be returning to this location as long as this policy is in place. Social security number is meant for the government and maybe hospitals. Not a guy changing my oil. Glad to change my mind when owner changes policy. Additionally, I have grown suspicious at the number of times I go in for a simple service and am pressured for many additional, unexpected repairs. Go here to get new tires, emissions checks and that's about it. Everything else they will overcharge you, recommend stuff which might not need fixing and do a subpar job overall. Lesson learned. Never again. My experience - brought my car in to get my air conditioning checked at 2 different locations. Location 1 told me they did not have the correct equipment for the job and to go to location 2. Location 2 told me that they weren't able to identify where the leak was and only recharged the system for 400 odd dollars and to bring it back if it fails. Now a year and a bit later, my air conditioning isn't working and they tell me that I probably have a slow leak and they will give me a quote for the work they will need to do to fix it. Question - this was the original complaint a year and a half ago, why wasn't it fixed then? read more

I recently had to get an oil changed. I usually go to the dealer, bu I didn't feel like that was necessary as this is an older vehicle. I have friends who have been here and had good experiences, so I figured I'd give them a try. Originally I used the online scheduling tool and was called promptly to be notified that time offered on the website was unavailable, but they offered me other times that worked. I went after work one day and wandered around Copaco. It took roughly 10 minutes for them to bring my car in, and within 40 minutes it was back out. They did a synthetic oil change and checked other things. Everything seemed to go well, and it was approximately $80. I was pretty satisfied with the timeliness and cost of the services - I'll definitely be back! read more

While in CT for the weekend I decided to bite the bullet and get tires for my truck. Sadly, I was being a very bad car owner knowing I needed tires but waiting and waiting ... you know the story. So 3 tires get one free wooohooo... which of course didn't apply to me b/c of the type of tires I needed. However, my tires were on sale YAY!!! I also got the lifetime alignment... any time I need one I can go into any Firestone and say "Fix it" and they do it & I don't pay. I know all Firestones do this, but the service here was AWESOME!!!! My tires were at a different location, they called when they arrived, and did everything within 90 mins. They were courteous and friendly, which to me goes a long way. I will surely go back if I ever need any tire or alignment done when I'm in CT. read more

If you have real simple tasks for them they'll do fine, oil or tires. One of the technicians I've spoken with seemed knowledgeable and respectable but they've faked an alignment on me and tried to quote me 200 dollars (mostly labor) to replace a bulb that took me 10 minutes in my driveway. Just stopped by with a mud guard that was dragging on the pavement when I drive . Asked if they could squeeze me in today at 5:40 pm. VenRoy said he had to look at car first . Disappointed and this review is based upon my experience at the Bloomfield location. I came in for an oil change, flat repair and for them to figure out the squealing sound when the engine was running. The oil change was fine. However, I was told that they couldn't fix the flat due to where the nail was, which was in the tread. So, I had to spend $245 on a new tire. Then, they told me the squeak was coming from the belt and tensioner, which was another $300. The squeak never went away! I recently got another nail in my tire, in the EXACT same area and went to the Firestone in Manchester. They fixed it with no issue at all. I asked them to check the squeak and it turned out my A/C was low, which I had them fill. Bottom line, I feel as though I was deceived into buying a new tire unnecessarily and I paid for repairs unneeded as there technician misdiagnosed. Needless to say, I will not recommend nor return! The Manchester location was very much on point, very honest and delivered as promised. read more

I had a blown out tire, and had six brand new tires, ask during the storm can they rotate my tires since CT had a major power outage and my company have to repair standby generators and a/c to elderly homes during the pandemic. I was told you didn't buy those tires from us we can't put them on or repair your flat. That's go to know when we have a fleet of over 100 trucks. I had a flat...Firestone said they would only replace all four...which were all new...refused to assist in changing my tire to a spare (offered to pay)... I took the car to Goodyear...the guy said...no problem...one tire..."we hear that alll the time" Guess where i am going next time. read more

I did tire rotation, engine oil change, heel alignment, balance for my car. After that car was shaking a lot if I run over 50 miles/hour. I had to cancel all my driving plans. I requested to do balance again, but it was still same. and they complained wheel and tire. I came to another repair center, and they fixed and not shaking now. I asked them what caused the shaking, they said balancing was wrong. Their service was so bad, and they are not skilled. And they put the water instead of washer liquid. The customer service at this location cannot be beat. I (unexpectedly) needed four new tires for my SUV and was towed there randomly today - Marcus was the employee who helped me and he is a truly a class act. Calmed me down, explained everything perfectly, kept me smiling and had the guys in the shop get the job done quickly and efficiently (even though I obviously had no appointment!) for a very fair price. I cannot thank you enough - Firestone now has a new lifelong customer in not only myself, but my family as well. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!! read more

Got my snows switched to all seasons. Their customer service is great! Waited for the car and it took 1~1:30 to get it done. Not terrible considering they were incredibly busy. No unexpected charges and my tires were taken care of, placed in bags and put in my car. They even give good recommendations and arent pushy if you need work done. I recently needed a new battery. In the past I had gone to Walmart to get a good price. This time, after I left my car, they called me and told me they would be unable to install my battery, so I left and remembered driving by this Firestone. I took it here, got a great battery and the cost was less than I would have paid if I paid someone to install the Walmart battery...and the service representative was very professional, under promising and over delivering. My car was done a couple hours earlier than promised on a Saturday. read more

Very disappointed. Made an appointment 4 days in advance for a headlight out. BOTH headlights were replaced one year ago at THIS Firestone location, so naturally, I returned there to have it looked at/replaced. I arrived at 11am, on time and asked if they could also put on the snow tires I had inside the car (a snow storm is happening today). I wasn't originally going to leave the car since I had an appointment and a headlight wouldn't take long, but I told them I would leave it for a few hours. Before he would answer me, he asked me if I wanted to purchase some lifetime alignment for $180. When I said no, he then asked if I would be getting just an alignment ($120). This price was in addition to the mounting cost of $86. I declined, remembering that last time I had tires mounted I did not get one and didn't want to spend that much money this time around, but would consider another time. He then said I would need to leave the car until 4 or 5pm if I wanted the tires mounted. I asked that he try to get it done by 2 or 3pm as that is when my ride would bring me back. He agreed, and I asked that he call to let me know about either issue. Well, I didn't get a phone call but just returned at 3pm. The car was parked outside and had snow covering it, so clearly had been there a while. I walked in happy to see it was done, but they same guy tells me, "we did the light but couldn't do the tires." I said, "it's been here for 4 hours, it's a snow storm you guys couldn't have helped me out?" I then asked how long I would have to wait for them to do it, he replied, "you'd have to wait here like another 2 or 3 hours." Meanwhile, the snow is piling up outside. I declined and carefully drove home. They did not charge me for the light (again they just replaced it a year ago). Had they called me when the light was done and let me know they couldn't do the tires, I may have had time to take it elsewhere, but instead it sat there for 4 hours. Other than this experience, every time I have gone in there they have tried to get me to have something done that is not necessary, obviously trying to get what they can out of me.
