DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE. Sure it's very temping as they always have "appointments" available. Next day, same day whatever you need. And it's at the mall so you have a good place to kill time. But this place is straight trash. I made an appointment. Selected that I would be waiting for my car. Told the intake person that I would be waiting for my car. We would grab food at the mall and be here waiting. Took 3 hours to do the inspection. Then they have the nerve to say my car will be ready tomorrow at noon. Excuse me I've been waiting here for 3 hours. If you weren't going to be able to do an inspection and work the same day then why not tell me that 3 HOURS AGO! Of course I say this is ridiculous and I will just take my car now. They say it's early we can finish it tonight. Ok it's 5pm. They close at 7. They should be done by then at least I figure. My car was not ready until 9pm. When I have my child with me who has homework and school in the morning. For the last hour I'm asking what's going on and what's taking so long and I keep getting the run around that my car is "about to be taken for a test drive and done" my car did not move for the entire last hour. How do I know? I keep hearing it lock and unlock and the alarm going off because obviously someone back there has no idea what they are doing. I literally spent an entire work day there. And my car sounds worse than I brought it in. Wonderful. Plus the guy left the trash liners in my car that they supposedly put to keep your car clean and my car reeked of this dudes sweat and dirt. Lovely. Highly recommend avoiding this place and quite honestly after this experience on top of my last one I would recommend staying far away from any location of this chain. Also forgot to add they do not answer the phone. I called the day before to ask how long I'd be waiting for my car and they put me on hold multiple times then just hung up. And also as another reviewer stated they also tried to upsell me on spark plugs that I just had done over the summer somewhere else. UPDATED: So when my wife took our car here, they said we need suspension and brake work and a new set of tires among other things. The picture below says it all. So I got a second opinion from another franchise. They said my rotors and brakes were still good with 75% of their life left. And when it came to the suspension system, I only had ONE bad lower control arm. But this is the kicker: The bad lower control arm had a proprietary bolt that the mechanic had to get from the dealership to replace, because someone tried to hammer it into place, warping the hole into an egg-shape. Now I highly doubt a Firestone employee did this (which also snapped the bolt in half), but the odd thing was that my mechanic found that a boot close to it was stretched to cover the front end of the broken bolt. So here is the added problem: The broken halves of the bolt were working their way out. It was only a matter of time and bad luck that they would fall out, drop the bad control arm to catch the ground and RIP THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL OFF AND POTENTIALLY TAKE MY WIFE AND KIDS' LIVES IN A PREVENTABLE ACCIDENT!!! So how did they miss telling my wife this when she was there? Simple: It's easy to deduce no real inspection was done at all. I'm not even sure if the oil was changed and I'm going to have to go to my mechanic to make sure it gets done. Reason being is because even I was able to spot something wrong just from seeing a protruding bolt. And the cost to replace the faulty control arm and 4 new tires from where I took our vehicle to? Just a little over $2,000 (parts + labor). read more

We have 40 trucks and we have them all service here we recently had a oil filter blow off of it and we have tons of damage under side the vehicle there is leaking oil everywhere. I came in requesting a check on my tires as I left Sprouts across the way and heard a weird with one of the tires. Luckily, they were right across the road and I asked for them to check my tire. Miguel offered to look at the tires but said they wouldn't be able to help right away as they're pretty busy today. After Miguel performed a visual inspection, he noticed a nail on the back tire. He had me call Discount Tire to see if they could take me right away as I wasn't able to wait for Fire Stone. I also let him know that I was planning on replacing all 4 tires and he let me know that that wasn't necessary, that I had about 10,000 miles left on them but would need an alignment. Miguel had me bring my car over to the bay to see how quickly the tire was losing air and filled my tire so I can take it down to Discount Tire. I recently purchased four tires from Firestone and had one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with an auto service provider. I was told over the phone that they had plenty of stock, so I scheduled service, dropped off my car, and went about my day. Hours later, I came back to find they hadn't even touched my vehicle. No one called to tell me there was an issue -- only three of the four tires were available, and the last one had to be ordered. What should have been done on Saturday wasn't finished until Monday. I was told a said price over the phone but charged higher when all was said and done. I chose Firestone over other shops expecting better service, but I regret that choice. I could've gotten better pricing, faster service, and better treatment elsewhere. This experience was so disappointing I'm now considering canceling my Firestone credit card altogether. Poor service, lack of transparency, and absolutely no respect for customers' time -- not what you'd expect from a major name like Firestone. Absolute SCAMMERS at this location my first time at Firestone, I had some very mild squeaking on my front drivers side break so I came in on a free break inspection. Not only did they do a full inspection that I specifically did not ask for just to try and sell me on spark plugs, filters, fluid changes and more. Not only that but I just replaced my own breaks a month ago and roters were are in great condition yet he said my breaks were at 3mm and I needed new roters! Update to my review from January. It is now August 2025. I have been having to jump start my car about 50% of the time. I have been calling AAA multiple times a day and I even bought a battery to jump-start myself. Today, I took my car back to this Firestone location where I had the battery replaced in January. I was told today that they do not even sell the battery that was in my car so therefore the battery was never actually replaced 6 months ago. Al and Arturo were kind today and helped replace the battery but I wish I had the names of those who were supposed to have done this months ago. read more

I would recommend dropping off your vehicle and not waiting. Even with an appointment you are guaranteed to waste time waiting around before your vehicle is serviced. You will wait at least an hour before your vehicle is even taken back. They are either understaffed or they overbook. This has been my experience on a couple of occasions. OMG ! I went with my son to Firestone because he needed a front tire and an alignment. They asked if he would like a $10 inspection of his vehicle. When we picked up his Beemer, this is the report: mechanic couldn't remove driver side rear wheel. They stated that the lug nut was over tightened and that needs to be chiseled off and replace wheel bearing. I stood there listening and winking to my son not to worry, next was maintenance replace plugs $600 (4 plugs), and more... THEN, he drove to San Diego (30miles), when he got out of his car it was billowing smoke, the oil cap was not on. Thankfully his car didn't burn up like a previous customer. My son handled it well, they changed the oil and filter, washed the engine compartment. They did not want to write that "their" mechanic did it on the bill. So Beware ! Find another place PS, when we got home, I removed lug bolt with a breaker bar. read more

Do not come here for any engine work. They do not have oil consumption testing nor are they able to replace a short block. It will take them a week to tell you so but best to find another place for the work. Warning: DO NOT GO HERE! Not only is this place extremely overpriced when it comes to tires, they are also extremely incompetent. I had a flat tire and came here to get a new one, plus a 'lifetime alignment'. I opted in for the $10 inspection too. Miguel who was at the counter told me that my rear left tire had a lug nut that was over torqued, and the only solution was to "break the nut by chiseling away part of the caliber and even said that the bearing would need to be replaced... a long laundry list of time and repairs that he said would come out to over $ 1800. I declined this and drove home -and was able to get the nut off NO PROBLEM in my driveway. THAT in itself is not the only reason this Firestone sucks... The next day I drove my car down to San Diego and noticed that there was smoke billowing out from under my hood. I pulled over and opened the hood to find that THE OIL CAP on the engine was LEFT OFF!!! Oil had spurted out and was covering the engine compartment and inside of hood. Firestone offered to do a "free" oil change BUT put on the official documents that I had left the oil cap off the engine. NO ONE WANTED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for Firestone... TERRIBLE. I've been a loyal Firestone customer for nearly a decade, appreciating their swift and equitable service, along with the value of their tires and warranties. However, regrettably, I've witnessed a significant decline in their service quality over the past few years, and my recent experience has been the last straw. I've never felt more exploited during my entire time as their customer. We came in for an oil change and diagnostics. My wife brought the car in, thinking she was doing the right thing. I received the quote, and they were demanding $110 for a full synthetic oil change. I asked my wife to call them back and request a basic oil change. When she did, they insisted that our car would be damaged if we didn't go with the full synthetic option. It seemed ludicrous! She called me, and I firmly instructed her to proceed with the basic oil change. They persisted, claiming it was a mistake and that our car would suffer. I reached out to my mechanic friend, who has extensive experience with high-end car brands. He chuckled and said, "They're trying to take advantage of you." I wish I had taken that warning more seriously at the time. Hours passed, and we called to inquire about the diagnostics. They informed us that we had a leaky valve and needed to replace the valve, gasket, and intake manifold tube, charging me close to $1,000 for the work. I was shocked at the price and forwarded the quote to my mechanic friend. He called me immediately and adamantly advised against authorizing those services. After some quick research on his end, he found the needed part on Autozone for only $97. He assured me that there was no reason to replace the intake manifold tube. I followed his guidance, paid only for the oil change and diagnostics at the shop, and drove the car home, awaiting my friend's visit the next day. Upon his arrival, he inspected my car's engine bay and got to work. He chuckled again, confirming that they had attempted to grossly overcharge me. He showed me the intake manifold tube, which was in perfect condition, with no visible defects, corrosion, or any reason for replacement. It only required removing two bolts, a straightforward task. This was blatant fraud. Next, he replaced the valve and gasket with the new part, a task that took us less than 5 minutes. Yet, the shop had quoted me over $200 in labor for this part, and their part would have cost nearly $300. I had obtained it for only $97. In just 15 minutes of work, we replaced the necessary part, and my car was fixed. The check engine light disappeared, and the car ran smoothly for several days with no issues. Without my knowledgeable friend, this establishment would have engaged in fraudulent practices, attempting to deceive and overcharge me. I strongly discourage anyone from entrusting their car to this place. I won't return, and I'll caution everyone I know to stay away. I also intend to file a report with the BBB, as they proudly display it in their store, but it appears to be part of their scheme. Bought new Michelin pilot sports and had Firestone install them over one year ago. Purchased the lifetime alignment. The alignment was not straight but better than what it was previously. The steering wheel tilted to the left a little bit. I thought: no worries, I still have to get new front shocks and have it re-aligned at that time. Now the steering wheel was tilted to the right a little bit. Fast forward to the present day. I had a bunch of mechanical work at a local shop including new engine and transmission mounts. I informed Miguel that my steering was still off and informed him that the car needs to be driven at more than parking lot speeds to really see the difference. I also informed him that the car would vibrate at speeds 50-60 mph. He did offer a complimentary wheel balancing. 2.5 hours later, my car's steering wheel is tilted severely to the right. My car now pulls to the right and there is vibration when driving at ANY speed. I used the online review form and Miguel called me the next day. I asked for a refund for the lifetime alignment which he verbally agreed to but when I came in to process the refund, he said he has to call his manager for approval. I went in on Friday had an appointment at 11am I showed up on time was told it would take no more then 3 hours for an oil change, tire rotation, alignment and courtesy check. 3 hours in I get a call saying my car would be ready in 15 minutes I start heading over to then receive another call to inform me they were going to finish another car before mine I go back at 3pm to be told the only thing done to my car was an oil change but their "fastest guy" would finish my car up. None of my fluids were checked and all my tires psi were at 20 they are supposed to be at 32. I also requested to have my alignment printed to see the adjustments made was told that their printer was broken but would get sent a email never received the email. I brought my vehicle here for lifetime wheel alignment. First appointment seemed fine for 2 hour wait. But when I brought back a year or so later, they put my service order behind all walk-ins, as it didn't bring in the money for their daily quota or something. There were only two service men on the front and always busy on the phone, and a few technicians actually works. Seriously short staff and need better management or customer service care. Workshop seemed quiet and not sounded like they are busy working on stuff. Brought in shortly after they opened at 8:30am and not done till 2pm. Promised in 3h, done in 6hr which is unacceptable. I purchased a car 3 weeks ago. Passed smog no leaks or warning lights on besides an occasional flash of the check engine when starting. Vehicle was running fine & smoothly, I took it in for a routine oil change and tire rotation, and they had my car back in the garage for literally 6 hours, when they return they tell me I have axel problem and boot tear by the right tire. They were acting pretty suspicious all day and they were making errors to other people's cars that were back in complaining so it seems highly likely my car was back there for 6 hours due to someone's mess up. They return my car to me with new warning lights on, and the very next time I drive the car my engine is messing up and rods are knocking, all this starting with a trip to Firestone Carlsbad behind the mall. They screwed me, you can't trust anyone anymore they seemed desperate for sales and were pushing business on everyone like street hustlers DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR YO FIRESTONE TO AVOID GETTING YOUR VEHICLE DAMAGED TO BAIT YOU INTO REPAIRS. I have been a customer of Firestone for several years, but I have noticed some concerning issues with their service. One of the employees, who wears a blue shirt, has exhibited passive-aggressive behavior towards his colleagues, which creates a toxic work environment. This may be contributing to the inefficiency and delays that I have experienced during my visits. Additionally, I have had difficulty booking appointments online, as they do not always honor them and blame it on the system. When I do visit in person, I often have to wait for several hours for even a simple service. While they claim to be understaffed, I have observed three people at the front desk, with only two of them actively helping customers. The employee in the blue shirt seems to spend most of his time sitting in front of the computer and barking orders at his colleagues. This behavior is unprofessional and does not inspire confidence in their service. Furthermore, I have noticed that they speak Spanish in front of non-Spanish speaking customers, which can be alienating. As someone who speaks can't Spanish, I find this behavior inappropriate and unprofessional. Their costumer service has gone downhill. read more
