I am from out of town and my low tire pressure sensor came on and I was concerned I would have a low or flat tire. I had an oil change and tire rotation done with no issues. My only problem is they assured me I could get my wiper blades and then when it was all finished (after 1.5 hours wait) they said they actually didn't have them and I had to go down the street to their auto zone they partner with. I highly recommend the service here, as a person who doesn't really know about cars its very nerve wrecking going to places because you never know if theyre giving you just service or truely full filling your needs, this location was attentive and quick with what my car needed. Jonathan explained to me step by step everything that was happening showed me the paperwork and also went to my car and showed me the hood and explained what was going on, it was almost like a learning experience. This was my first visit to This location and I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. I had already been told by my body repair shop what needed to be done, so I told Jonathan, the service advisor what I repairs needed to be done. He did everything possible to Lkeep my cost down and didn't try to up sale me like other repair places do. I waited to find out 9exactly what was going to be done. Once Jonathan found out what service needed to be done on my car he thoroughly explained it and also informed me that my oil was empty. This came as a surprise to me because I had my last oil change 2-3 months prior. He also explains why I needed to get my oil changed more frequently because of my long daily work commute. This Firestone location in Chula Vista is a great location. Whenever I have a problem even on a previous occasion the managers always that the time to solve them. Jonathan especially on the last 2 or 3 times I've visited has gone out of his way to make sure either the problem was solved or found a discount or way that I was able to get the service done. I had a screw logged in my tire, rather than say come back later, he already had someone working on it. He also, found about $75 so I could get the control arm done. Also, called because my Honda Pilot was dripping oil for the first time, Jonathan answered an said they will take care of and so they did by installing a bigger drain plug with no problem. This is for Management. I arrive at this location with only one other Customer already attended too. I was greeted with we will help you in just a second. I stood at the counter for almost 5 minutes while too employees conversed about nothing work related. Another customer walked in an they proceeded to the desk and asked if we were here together. The lady responded no I just walked in and then they had the audacity to ask who was first. At this point I'm getting irritated. The employee asked me what he could help with, i replied I need four new tires ( that I already have in my vehicle that I need installed. He proceeded to the vehicle and first thing he said is i think those rims are too big. They are factory 20 inch rims. Then he proceeded to make every excuse in the book as to why he could not install the tires. I replied you are a tire company and 95 percent of your business involves installing tires. I then told him i would find another location. He replied OK and walked off. Management, I just wanted to make you aware that if are wondering why quarterly sales may be declining then it's probably due to the lack of give a fudge factor from your employees. read more

I was driving and my car was smoking so bad that I couldn't see the car behind me (from my boyfriend accidentally pouring too much oil in) and while they were busy and didn't have time for me, Jonathan made time for me and was very helpful! I'm going to be very honest and this coming from a person who doesn't really know a lot about cars. However, my car (a 2010 Toyota Camry) has been in good shape for a very long time. I keep a good maintenance on it. When I first contacted Firestone, my battery needed an immediate change. Now I don't know how a battery could affect anything in the car, but my driver's side window should be the last thing that could be affected. My window can't automatically go up anymore and when it does go up and it hits the top (manually), it goes back down halfway. There was never anything wrong with my windows until I went in. They told me to take it in and they couldn't specifically explain it to me and the guy said he would talk to the store manager if they could fix it in no cost and they would give me a call. They never gave me that call. The next time I go in is to get my front breaks taken care of. It was good. I got good service, however I did have to wait for 3-4 hours for them to finish. A week later, my car starting making a "metal clanging" sound. I was like oookaaaay. What's wrong with it now?? Like I said, my car has always been in great shape. That same day my car broke down and thank God for USAA. I had to take it in to the nearest auto place and it was the Toyota Dealership. Now, I've had my check up maintenance at Firestone but at that point I wasn't even thinking about what they've done to my car. Toyota told me there was a cap missing on my radiator and they asked me if I've taken it some place else. And I said yes, at Firestone and Toyota told me to maybe give them a call because my car was in a "bad shape". In my opinion, it isn't a coincidence that every time I take my car in something bad happens to my car from firestone. Like they give a great guest service but why is it that every time I come in, something bad happens to my car??? I'm still appalled and I've had to spend a lot of money from something I didn't know. Like if Firestone did a check up, they could've told me that the cap on my radiator was missing. Or something was wrong with my radiator. Idk, but I don't think I'll ever trust Firestone with my car. read more

Went here to get new tires, I love that they had that buy 3 get one free special. The wait was quite long but I think that was only because they couldn't get a hold of me because the tires that I was quoted online was the wrong kind, I still got a good deal on them though. Waiting room was clean enough with lots of magazines to read. Service was very good, very nice and friendly. I took my boyfriend there to fix a broken tail light bulb, only took about 1 hour since we went on a Saturday which is usually a busy day for them, also got a good price on that, but I'm no mechanic so I don't really know what the going rate on it is, but I did shop around. OMFG.. THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY IS OUT OF THEIR MINDS.whatever you do, do not get a Firestone credit card. Long story short, my fiancée has a card with a $1000 limit. He has used the card twice. His balance is 620. We bring my car I. For a brake job and we plan on putting the balance on the card. He called the automated system (no people available) to check the remaining credit limit. It said his balance, but not his remaining limit WHICH IT HAD EVERY TIME IN THE PAST WHEN HE CALLED. So, we went in, the bill was for $320, and upon payment, he handed William, the young man that helped us, his credit card. He picked up the phone and called in. The man gave card and custimer info over the phone and charged our card for $228. Which put us over the limit by $50. We did not know this until we decided to call the card service since we were unsure of our limit. After a lengthy and WONDERFUL CONVERSATIONS with Cathy and Maggue #51, we were notified that we WERE KNOWINGLY charged over out limit... and that upon our asking, were notified that we WOULD HAVE A NEGATIVE REPORTING TO OUR CREDIT BEUREU. I will try to be as objective as possible. Well, they changed the front pads and resurface the rotors on my pick up truck on March 2013 (90K miles) the brakes started to rattle a lot when driving in bumping roads and stop the rattling when breaking. In addition once in a while when I am breaking the truck it makes an strong knock as if the pads were moving and hitting the caliper. I took my truck on a Saturday and told me that was late so I brought my truck a week later. I showed up without an appointment on August 2013 (97K miles) and told me that it will take about 2 hours of Total wait. about two hours later someone took the truck for a drive test, after a few minutes this person told me that is a suspension issue which I disagree, told me that I should wait for inspection more time. I wait for more than an hour and the truck still was waiting for inspection. According to the invoice that job has 24 months or 24k miles warranty, because they asked me to change fluid to make this warranty valid back in March. In about 4 hours waiting I ask for the keys of my truck and left the place. This was my experience with Firestone Complete Auto Care, I will take my truck to another shop, so this was lost of money and it was a lost of time. You decide!!! read more

Firestone quickly got my car into the stall to install the tires and do the lifetime alignment. The car rides straight as an arrow. The service personnel had to hunt down the wheel lock key, but luckily it was found. The manager and service personnel are professional and friendly.
