I needed an inspection on my car. I took it to one place and the price to fix it was over $2,000. I wanted a second opinion so I brought my car here to Firestone. The minute I walked in the door, I felt so compfortable, they made me feel good about being there. They inspected my car, it needs work but he could fix the problem that was a concern for $210 a far cry from $2,000. I still need some more work on it and I am definately bringing it back here to have it done. Its such a relief to know there's mechanics here that are honest and not over charging. Plus they took my car in when another firestone I had an appointment told me there is no way of getting my oil and wouldn't touch my car for liability reason when I showed up to the appointment. I made a appointment for a oil change on Friday morning. was told when I arrive at 8 am I did not have a appointment and he needed the person name , explain I did not remember the name but was told to much such I came to the 830 Broadway. which I have been there before for service. Julio told me unless I remember who I spoke to that i could not be seen, this went on for about 3 minutes he was very unprofessional. I was the first customer there one person behind me. he ask to check in the other person and see if he could squeeze me in . he then stated oh looks like we have an opening and next time make a appointment which I did I gave the person my number and name. which I believe was there but he was lying . upon leaving when I was told my car was ready. I asked to make sure that the oil changed was reset on my vehicle. which it was not I was told I needed to show them since I know everything, and then was call a liar about making a appointment and spoken to like a child . I ask for his supervisor and was told he did not have one he was the supervisor he was rude I know I was spoken to this way because I am a African American black female and felt discriminated against . this how he treat females and African American I will know longer use this location. he walk out into the parking lot speaking crazy to me when I asked several times to reset the oil button on the vehicle which is a Acura RDX. the pressure in the tire was off also . Julio stated he didn't care if I complained and made a post to yelp so hear you go . rude customer service. learn how to treat customers all the same with respect especially black females. yes and other women came in of different races and was not talk to disrespectful. read more

I may say I could give 2.5 stars for this place just because I'm an idiot and have taken my car here a few times and honestly, don't even know if real work is done or not :/ I usually take it here for oil changes and more recently for alignment and brakes. Well now I'm slightly regretting paying for the lifetime alignment because I just found out from a much more reputable auto shop that my brakes are in super bad shape and looks as though it was never done, UGH! Last I remember, I did the front, was told I still had some life on the back and so I would think that there is no way that in less than a year even my front brakes could be so bad when supposedly they were done. Man, is there any auto shop that is legit, doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and truly cares for their customers? I'm hoping the new place I found, thanks to fellow yelpers, is legit, cause the customer service is already rocking :) Now the only thing I can think about it damn I paid for lifetime alignment so I have to suck it up and bring it here or else I screwed myself over for nothing...boy do I feel dumb! :( read more

My brakes started making some terrible noises and so I called to see if I could make an appointment early on a Friday morning, hoping to get in quick and be done with it. I called at 8:30am and was told the first appointment available was 9:30am. I arrived on time and was told they could see my car right away for an inspection, which takes about 20 minutes. 40 minutes later, I'm taken into the back where I'm shown what's wrong and how to fix it. I feel the price is higher than I expected but not completely unreasonable. I always anticipate sticker shock when it comes to car repairs. I agree to the work and I'm told about 90 minutes. The waiting area is drab, uninviting and small so I take a stroll down lovely Broadway and lazily shop some stores to kill time. I give them an hour and 45 to finish but my car isn't done yet when I return. ARGH. I wander about for a few minutes hoping for an update from an employee but no-go. I go outside again and see that my car is still on the lift with all the tires removed. So I'm guessing the time estimate I was given was way off. I wait for another 45 minutes and although my car is being worked on, it isn't even close to having the wheels put back on yet. I go inside and I'm told it will be only 15 more minutes. Right. 30 minutes later, I see my car coming down off the lifts! Yay! Once my car was done, they did get me out of there fast; a small consolation when your time estimate was twice as long as originally quoted. You know I can't hate on this place. I showed up without an appointment to try and fix a brake light on my ride. Took a few hours and was told they would charge an automatic $49.95 charge to do diagnostics to see what was wrong. Great, I thought. I'm $50 down the hole and they haven't even fixed my car yet. Well...turns out the darn thing wasn't that bad to fix and they ended up waiving that $50. All in all I spent $13 to get the light fixed. Not bad. Not bad at all. read more

I spent almost my whole day here, all I came for was my oil change and tie rotation, but upon the tie rotation Julio found two of the tires worn out, these could've cost us an accident they were so bad my steering wheel would vibrate! I was in a position where I had to spend more than what I was expecting plus money for an alignment, I was upset for a while but at the end my life is more important than the cost, so Julio went through all my options to fix my problem. He had patience with me and I appreciate it, when everything was done and I drove off it was well worth it the car felt smoother than when I bought it. Oh yeah if you don't have patience on waiting I suggest you don't come here because these guys have a lot of customers and its going to be packed but if you do wait don't eat at the Mexican restaurant next door it sucks. read more

When the day came for my car battery to die after serving me for more than 5 years, I decided to go here to purchase a new car battery. They were the nearest location that sold Interstate car batteries. Based on a family recommendation, the Interstate car batteries are known for being reputable. So, I installed my new car battery into my car. Everything ran well until a week of use. The car didn't start again with the newly installed battery. To cut the story short, I went back to the store and have them perform a battery load test to determine whether the new battery is causing the issue. After them denying that the battery should be "good" since I purchased it not so long ago (Service Advisor: Edgar), I finally got it tested. Then, it turns out the new battery was indeed defective! They waived all the diagnostic fees and installed the replacement battery for me. Now, my car is working well with the new replacement battery so far. I wouldn't come back here again. I would of been better off buying my car battery from Autozone or O'Reilly Auto Parts where its more affordable. read more

I went there to go get my A/C serviced because after trying to put freon in myself, all that blew out was hot air. So I came here because of their $19.99 A/C diagnosis. They tried asking $500 for a repair by making stuff up that needed to be fixed. Well a day later I went to the autozone across the street and one of the guys was a A/C tech and I explained what I needed to fix the A/C problem myself. He assured me all I needed was freon. He went outside and filled my car up for free with a bottle of freon that was going to be marked damaged and ever since then, I have cold as ice A/C. This was about 4 months ago. Still cold A/C. Thank you Firestone. I'm never going to think about going there again. read more

At the strong recommendation of my friends, I went to the Chula Vista Firestone and arrived with confidence. I brought them my newly acquired Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo that I drove down from Sacramento without issue; I even made a round trip to Riverside and back recently. The reason for my visit was to change out the old Primewell tires for a full set of Bridgestone RE760's along with a lifetime alignment. This should have been a relatively easy work order. After signing for and approving the initial work with my CFNA discount applied, I decided to get picked up and return in the evening near closing time. Roughly two hours later, I call for an update and am told that the car is already getting aligned and should be ready for pickup soon. As I arrive, I am surprised to see the technicians PUSHING my car out of a standard work bay. What I am told next is unbelievable. First, I am given some lame excuse of not being able to align the car because of a leaking CV boot. I could understand a bad ball joint(s) or maybe tie rod ends, but I am paying for a lifetime alignment to ensure the life of my new tires! Secondly, I was given another lame excuse about two wheel studs being "stripped" and only having three lug nuts torqued down up front. The service advisor notes that the car is now deemed "unsafe" to drive. Basically, I was sold new tires, told bad news, and NOT given any options NOR quotes to address what was found to ensure my safety and continue with the alignment - not acceptable at all. Needless to say, I left disappointed and unsure. I will be bringing my car to long-established and well-trusted Clarence Brown instead tomorrow because Firestone could not finish a simple job. To the ill-informed and unqualified technician and advisor: the threads were not stripped at all on either the lug nuts or wheel studs. Thanks for nothing. read more

Wow! Amazing service. They service 2 different car in 1 day and treated them like bentleys. Oil change and tire rotation was done in 1 hour and tire rotation and alignment was done on second car 2 hours. At the end of the day I was late to pick up my car and met the manager Johnathan on the way out and instead of telling me that it was too late and that I'm SOL, he open up the bay doors and got my car out with no problem at all. I took my car exactly 12 months ago to have a bearing replaced on my Infiniti g35 when I heard a noise again. I am replacing it myself now because I'm out of warranty because I went over on the millage. I drive 15,000 and the warranty is only 12,000 on work that cost my $800. Awesome! This past weekend, I had a warranty situation that needed attention. My worn-out tires were purchased new in another state a few years ago at an affiliated dealership that goes by a different name. When the tires wore out well before their warranty period, I didn't have high hopes that something could be done about it, especially 2000+ miles away. My service rep, Edgar, was exceptionally professional in the way he handled it, holding firm to company policies, yet giving me the benefit of the doubt wherever he could. I walked out of there completely satisfied with how I was served, and the financial outcome of the upheld warranty. I can't begin to express how grateful I am for the awesome customer service I received from Jonathan Reyes and his staff at this Firestone location. I needed a yearly safety inspection on my car, which is required by my employer. I called around and was quoted $60 at another place. Although they were busy and it was late when I came in, Jonathan did not hesitate to accommodate me. The safety inspection only cost me $20. Wow! Super happy! Since I'm a super procrastinator, my oil was at 0% and I was in a panic. So, not only did they accommodate me for the safety inspection right before closing, but they were also able to do my oil change. I feel like they went out of their way to help me! This is normally the place that I get my tires done, alignments, just recently dropped $600 on common repairs last month here... the wait is usually longer than you expect. For example if you come in asking them to check on your CV joints, roughly 3 hours. Got my tires rotated for free... but I didn't want them rotated... because they put the tires with significantly less tread on the rear which is really dangerous for a frequent freeway driver.. they probably meant well... but i specifically asked for them not to rotate my tires. I just needed a couple of things checked on, and I'll be on my way. So now I'm back, sitting basically at the back of the line of everyone who cane after they screwed up my car. And I had to pick up my daughter from daycare and guess who is saying she's hungry when I don't have a vehicle to get her food or the time to cook her dinner anymore. Complete inconvenience... probably not returning here... the wait is way too long. ******UPDATE******* So I was recently contacted from Firestone about my complaint, and they tried their best to right the issue. Apparently there were some new employees who were being trained, which it's good to take your time to teach how to do things the right way instead of throwing them into the field with a wrench. I am still pretty upset about being stuck in the waiting area with a hungry toddler after returning to get my tires re-rotated, but I appreciate the gesture and Swift response. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. A few months ago, my kid got a flat and after inspecting, I realized he needed new rubber all around the car. This was the closest store open on a Sunday, so I went. While replacing tires, they claimed only 2% of brake pads remained and offered to replace. This is something I can do on my own, so declined. It took about 3 hours for tires. Seemed excessive due to how slow business was that day. I went to replace pads 2 weeks later and they had st least 50% remaining. 2 months later the kid shreds a tire and only partially honor warranty. Nice guy working the front, relatively clean establishment and prices could have been worse. If it was any other day of the week, I would have gone elsewhere. read more

I've been to this place a few times and everytime, i waited forever for my car to get fixed. And they never really fixed a thing! I went in the first time because my enginge over heated on the highway. I took it in, they so call performed a bunch of test, ordered the repair parts and fixed it, over two days time. Well, obviously not because my car over heated again! I paid $700 for repairs the first time! The second time i took it, they tried to charge me for work that was already done. They guys there try to act like they are sincere but they are not. They take too long getting the job done. I had a Firestone credit card with them but, i paid it all off and vow not to use any Firestone centers again. This one place left a bad taste in my mouth for every Firestone. read more
