I made an appointment with Firestone to get my car fixed. I had to take an Uber to the appointment and when I got there they said my car would not be fixed that day. It would have been nice to get a call from them telling me they couldn't honor the appointment so that I would have to waste my time & money on a Uber. They put 4 missing Lugs on one of my tires and charged me $514. Completely overpriced and I feel scammed. read more

I've been using Firestone on Prospect Ave. over the last 2.5yrs for oil changes, wheel realignments, and general maintenance. Every time their service has been quick, easy, reliable, and trustworthy. My car has never had a problem after leaving the shop, and I've never felt that they've overcharged or taken advantage with a fake or delayed problem for a quick buck. The one time I went to Terry's on St. Claire for an oil change, they gave me a quote of $4,000+ for "immediate" maintenance trouble, despite no signs from my car while driving. When signs did eventually show up 6mo. later, Firestone fixed it for a quarter of the price and my car has been running smoothly since. My car had a corrosive battery and was no longer starting, after receiving roadside assistance I drove it into Firestone for a replacement battery, and I was due for an oil change, so perfect timing! It was a bit late in the day, right before closing, so my car wouldn't be seen til tomorrow, but Adam assured me it would be done in time for me to pick it up after work. The next day while I was at work Adam called to let me know a few additional repairs that could be done. I have had one of my front parking lights out ever since I inherited the vehicle and Adam is the first of many mechanics to actually take the time and effort to let me know about the light. It has been out for so long I honestly forgot about it! This just goes to show how thorough this Firestone is! I have been to several Firestone locations before, but this is the first one to actually perform a thorough inspection and to provide me with excellent customer service! Firestone tends to standardize car care across their network so it is difficult to stand out...But that's exactly what folks at the Prospect Ave location do. I get snow tires placed in the winters and All-Seasons in the summer , followed by wheel alignment, on two cars, every year for the last three years. Having been to three different locations in town, I concluded that when it comes to getting a no-nonsense, straight-talk, no unnecessary service marketing kinda experience, this is my go-to location. They're busier so it always takes longer here; but I'm comfortable spending an extra hour there when they accommodate me for same day service. I tend to walk around the neighborhoods when my car is being worked on but after an experience or two, wouldn't advise that in this neighborhood. Sit tight in the comfortable waiting area and watch the local news channel FOX 8 to your hearts content! read more

Worst ever they have an reslove plan they will say everything is free but after you pay they will say this will not cover in it that will not cover in that plan but at first they will tell these will cover at your plan but in real they are not they will overcharge you for everything. They offer a coupon for a synthetic oil change and filter for 19.99$ pretty regularly. I always schedule an appointment in hopes that I wont have to spend a long time waiting on my vehicle. I always end up waiting for almost 2 hours. I know an oil change shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes. I am not sure if they just make people using the coupon wait that long or what. I would suggest you not go. The savings don't justify waiting that long for anything. read more

Do not go here! Awful Experience. Receptionist was very inconsiderate and so mad that I was giving her more work when I walked in. They first tried to charge me an extra 115 claiming the check engine light was probably on. So I had to walk her out to the car and prove to her it wasn't on to take that charge off. They charged me 400 dollars to put on 3 new belts which is more than the blue book price of the car. The belts literally broke the next day. Took the car to my local mechanic and he couldn't believe how much they did wrong and how much they missed. He fixed it all for less than half the price firestone did. Unbelievable, and deserve to be refunded. read more

Just stay away this place is a ripoff after overpaying for a ball joint replacement they attemped to lie and say they rotated my tires (i have them marked) after i made them actually do it they purposely over tourqed my lug nuts. read more

Made a tire change appointment the day prior. Was told this was a 45-60 min process. Showed up on-time. Asked to tack on an oil change (15 min process). Was told it'd be 1 to 1.5 hrs. Said I'd wait (there is zero walkable to do in this neighborhood). 1.5 hrs later politely asked for an update; they said the tire machine was backed up and it'd be a little longer. Long story short: I got my car back a full THREE HOURS after I had gotten there -- and as I was pulling away noticed both the check oil AND check tire pressure lights were on! Nice people but didn't get the job done. Don't go here if you can avoid it. read more

I started taking my car here on the recommendation of a coworker because it's within walking distance from work. I'm so glad I did. I've always had positive experiences here. Their prices are reasonable. They explain how things work and how much they cost really well. Last year I needed body work, and they couldn't do it, but they referred me to a shop that could. Great customer service. We were 300 miles from home, around 4:40 Saturday the tire pressure low light comes on. I did a search for repair shop in downtown Cleveland , the only place open was Firestone. I pull in at 5:00 pm and by 5:45 we were on our way to tour The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Worst service I ever had because of Amy the front desk person. I sent my college educated son their who is a 4.0 student to get a screw changed on his battery. Amy offered him a new battery plus the screws and erosion cleaning. We opted for just the screw and cleaning. After they did that my son car would not start without them jumping it of course. She told my son that's what he gets he didn't listen she belittled him in front of a group of customers. Then she called my personal phone to tell on my son which is a grown man for asking her not to speak to him in that manner. I have 2 cars and I will never go back because of Amy rudeness.
