We were just finishing the last leg of a 15 hour drive from Dallas when I blew an outer dulie on my RV, not 5 miles from our destination, Colorado Springs. I began frantically searching for tire shops that I could limp my way too. Store after store told me they could help me tomorrow, leaving my family and I without a place to stay for the evening and a massive towing bill. With almost no hope left in my voice, I dialed the last option within range, the colorado springs store off academy. 3 minutes before store close, with 9 other family members staring at me pacing along the highway, Leo calmly gathered the tire information and assured me that they would would be here to help me, irregardless of the closing hour. I wish I lived in CO so I could have all 6 of my vehicles serviced here exclusively. I was in and out of there in under 20 minutes and our vacation is back on track. I have been going to Firestone since I started driving in 1996. I have never had any issues until I came to this store. I had booked an appointment with this Firestone to get some brake work done while I wait in the lobby because I was hearing a grinding noise in the back when I would brake. It started out fine, I was the only person waiting in the lobby waiting for my car. They put my car in the air and took the wheels off. They said I needed rear brakes and rotors and that the guy was actively working on my vehicle and another at the same time. I told him okay and that I was going to walk across the street to eat lunch. After lunch, I came back and it still wasn't done. I sat down and watched the news in the waiting room. After I was there for about 3 hours, the guy asked if I was in a hurry and I said that there was somewhere I had to be but that this was more important and that I would wait till this was done. About 10 minutes later, he came in and told me that they were not going to be able to work on my vehicle today (after telling me that they were already working on it) and that I would have to come back some other time. It was only 2:10pm at that point. So instead of calling me and cancelling my appointment or even letting me know when I got there that they couldn't work on it that day, they wasted over 3 hours of my time on my only day off. Then, the worker tried to charge me on top of that for a "Car Care Package" that I never asked for. I told him that there was no way I was paying for a service I never asked for and especially after wasting a lot of my Saturday. He threatened to call the police if I didn't pay until he noticed I was video recording him. I did report it to corporate and I really hope they do something about it so nobody else has to go through this. I won't ever give this store my business again!! read more

Hey Firestone, when you changed my oil last month you forgot to turn off the computerized "change oil" reminder and it drove me crazy and forced me to come back in. HOWEVER, you also pointed out a minor-now-major-later issue with my (pulleys? something?) and suggested I have my dealership take a look since it was an issue covered under warranty. That was pretty cool since it didn't bring in any extra revenues to you. And when I finally brought my vehicle back in today you took care of the reminder light, checked all my fluids, and aired up my tires at no cost and that was pretty great too. I wish it was possible to give negatives. I wasn't even going to write this review, but after my experience at a different location, I figured I'd warn as many people as I could. This place has to be the biggest scam in town. I paid $200 to get the lifetime alignment unfortunately every time you go to use it they already have a response ready on why they can't honor it first time was because I needed a new rack and pinion in order for them to be able to align it. I said yes and paid $1900 and they did an alignment fast forward two years I get some work done on my suspension and they tell me I need a new rack and pinion, I told him I just had a replace not even two years ago when they removed it it was still the original rack and pinion they told me fire stone does not get their parts from AC Delco. They use aftermarket parts and this was not an aftermarket part. Rewind back to that day I told them that I think I also have a oil leak and would like my transfer case service, told me I had a leaking oil pan and a hose that is right above the oil filter. I asked him how they knew that and they said they ran dye in the engine, unfortunately I took it somewhere else and they said there was no die in the engine. They informed me that in order to put dye in the engine. They first have to clean off the area of where they think is leaking so that when they run the black light, they will see the dye this place went ahead and drain the oil into a pan and ran a black light over it and there was no dye. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I had another issue where I had a flat tire they wouldn't repair it but they wouldn't warrantee it out. Finally, they refused to warranty it out because of where the nail was so they just said we're going to fix it this time And that's one thing I can't stand about this place. It's just a double standard. If it's gonna cost them money, they look the other way instead of just honoring the warrantees, they sell you. I can keep going. I'm going to detail about the issue issue I had with my transfer case, but I'm pretty sure you get the idea stay as far away from this place or get a second opinion before you say yes to any of their work, I guarantee you you won't need 80% of the work they are saying you need. read more

My car was towed to this Firestone location to be looked at. It was in the evening so I am not sure if it was after hours or not, while it was there overnight, it was broken into. The ignition was torn apart. They had to replace the ignition and charged me for it!! They told me they were not responsible for the cars in their lot. I was not able to ensure it was locked as it was the tow company that put it there. Watch out for your cars if left overnight!! It's all on you if something happens!!! read more

Bought some tires here, they weren't bad and balance was terrible car still shakes after 60. Today I called 11 mins after they opened to buy some blizzak tires. The first time no one picked up. I went here this morning to have second opinion on my son's car brakes. Ruben took care of my car and confirmed repairs that needed immediate attention and what could wait. They were more expensive but very honest and helpful too. I can't say enough awesome things about this location. My next set of tires will definitely be purchased here. If you get a chance stop by and ask for Ruben. You're going to be pleased with their service. They even offered to take a look again to make sure my brakes were done right. My tires were paid for on Tire Rack. All 4 shipped to them, I had a tracking number, all 4 delivered. I live way outside town. Showed up to my appointment. I was lied to, told only 2 were delivered. The person that signed for them, signed for 4. My tires were sold to another customer, or just rolled away on their own I guess.... Counter guy was rude. Had an appointment for 10 o'clock AM. Arrived 10 minutes to 10. They couldn't find my appointment. Then Jacob came in an that's who set our appointment the day before. He says whoops forgot to hit save in the computer. I have now been her two an a half hours for an appointment that should have taken 45 minutes. I missed my chemotherapy appointment, all because someone couldn't hit save in the computer. This is the worst experience I have ever had getting tires on my truck. This place is an absolute nightmare. I dropped my car off for a tire change at 10am. I was told it would take about an hour and a half for the tires to be changed. Three hours later I heard nothing from them. I eventually called and they said "The car was just now pulled in". Two hours later the car was still hanging up in the shop without tires on it. Walked in today to get an oil change and to get something checked regarding my alternator. The guy working the front desk was very helpful, but the manager walked up to me (10am on a Monday) and basically told me to go away. He said that they were understaffed and that I should be prepared to wait FIVE HOURS OR MORE for an oil change and a diagnostic. I asked if he wanted me to go somewhere else and he just shrugged and walked away. This is my second time going here and I can't believe I even gave them a second chance - my first time was just as bad. Horrible management. read more

So this Firestone store doesn't like to take disciplinary action against employees with DUI's. They have a current employee who has shown up drunk on several occasions and worked on customers cars. Personally I don't want someone drunk working on my car for my safety, that is a huge liability for me. I've contacted management to make them aware but I don't think anything was done because the employee still works there. When I first called the store to informed them they coved for home and pretended not to know the truth. I would be careful on who you trust to work on your car. DO NOT TRUST THIS FIRESTONE'S WORK, INSPECTIONS or their STAFF On July 30th, 2017 my wife and I took our vehicle in for a brake inspection and alignment after having new upper and lower control arms and ball joints along with both inner and outer tie rod ends replaced. Got our call and came paid the bill and got the truck back. Monday wife took truck to work that evening she tells me there is a "popping" noise when she backs and turns that just started after the alignment. Mind you Firestone has just inspected the brakes and done the alignment. Tuesday we take the truck back in with less than 50 miles since the work was performed and tell them the issue Kim and Steve say no problem leave it with us and we will get it looked at and figure this out. We leave the truck and go about our day, we get a call close to closing stating they would like to keep the truck overnight and have a senior tech look at it on Wednesday as they can duplicate the problem but cannot pin point the issue. My Wife and I agree that is a good idea and leave the truck. Wednesday late afternoon we get a call that they have not found the issue but are still looking into it and will call us back in a while. We then get a call telling us they cannot work on the truck as the suspension has been modified. We go down and ask to be shown this modification. Steve then proceeds to show me a weld on the driver's side front stabilizer/sway bar bracket that "looks" new stating that it is not in the right place, they cannot do any work on the truck. I ask to speak to the manager. Things get a bit heated as you can imagine being told "you have modified" the suspension. I ask to speak to the manager and am told he is not there, however I can call him and they give me his card, which has the Firestone number not his number on it. Steve and Kim are both yelling at me by this point and I am loud right back. I demand to speak to a manager or GM. Steve goes into the shop and calls Luke on the phone giving him the "story", then comes into the lobby and gives me the phone with Luke on the other end, Luke proceeds to vomit the story as recounted by Steve telling me he has viewed the modification on the right front bracket and that it is what is causing the issue. I proceed to tell him this was not an issue before the alignment and brake check, which of course he knew nothing about it being an issue that arose after they had already worked on it. Nothing gets resolved I told Luke I would like to speak to the GM, he said he would get in touch with him and get back to me (Fat chance I say). We pick up the truck Wednesday evening and note it is now making noise from the opposite side as it was when we brought it in. Thursday we take the truck to Falcon for a short drive on the way home we note that the noise is not happening whenever we touch the brake. About 5 miles from the house ever time my wife pushes the brake the truck shudders and grinds, when we start rolling again it "pops" in traffic coming to a stop the left front tire looses all air and goes flat, we manage to get the truck off the road into a parking lot. We walk home get the car, tools, jack and jack stands go back and get the truck up, tire off and start looking to see if we can find the issue. Found that the caliper housing was missing the lower bolt and the upper was finger tight, the brake caliper guide pin bolts were also only finger tight. Picked up parts from the local O'Reilly's auto parts corrected the problem. Found that the brake caliper had cracked the aluminum rim on the inside and ruined the brand new 180.00 dollar tire. Brought the truck home checked the driver's side and found that all the brake bolts were also only finger tight, I was able to take them out without tools, replaced these parts ordered the stabilizer/sway bar bushings took the truck to the Ford dealer and had them verify the stabilizer bracket was correctly placed if not factory welded though to them it was a factory weld. No suspension issue with the truck LACK OF KNOWLEDGEABLE TECHNICIANS at Firestone. read more

My husband and I took our truck in for new tires, and a 4 wheel alignment.. Got a great price online on 4 new tires. Tires are great, but took them FOREVER to get them on, rotated and balanced. They also crushed the frame under the truck, left oil all over the entire driver side of the truck and even on my parking pass and carpets and didn't bother to clean it up at all. They had to order some bolts to do another job on the truck so my husband made an appt for the next day. He was there on time, waited well over an hour just for them to tell my husband the bolts still were not there, nor did they bother cleaning the oil from the inside that was promised to do when I called them back. I have since called 3 times and asked to speak to Rick, the manager there, and not one single phone call back from the manager, or anyone else there, still have not had the oil cleaned up, nor the work done. The staff is terrible, and the manager is worse. Don't waste your time or money at this location, better yet, go to good year on Nevada ave, they'll treat you right. My husband had to email the corporate headquarters just to be heard by anyone, and has had only 1 reply, and still waiting after about 2 weeks. I'll pay the extra money to go somewhere else where they will actually treat you good. read more

When I walked into this store, for a moment I thought maybe the pandemic was over. Tim, who was behind the counter, wasn't wearing a mask and put one on when I walked up. I could see his nose and upper lip so that was pointless. There was a woman without a mask talking on her phone in the waiting area and none of the employees told her to put a mask on. None of the mechanics wore masks in and out of the vehicles and yet they were coming up front and engaging with customers in the garage. Jake walked up front, put on a mask after a minute but he too was letting his nose hang out. What's the point of wearing it if you're not going to wear it properly??? If you don't want to wear a mask on your own time, great. Do you. But when you're a business, the expectation is you abide by the state mandate and wear a mask to keep your customers safe. There was one measly bottle of hand sanitizer in the store and it was only pulled out when I asked if they had Apple Pay. The store advertises that they're doing so much to protect customers and employees but in fact they were doing nothing. I will not be returning to this location. read more

The lady that works there that smokes too much (doesn't wear a name tag, but I think her name is Kimberley) is the rudest most defensive person I be ever met. I went in to inquire about a windshield wiper on my car that had obviously not been changed, since it had the same wear pattern as the one that was suppose to be replaced. She immediately got defensive and rude and in the end put her hand in my face and told me to leave! She said she wasn't the manager, yet somehow had the authority to tell me I wasn't welcome back. Not happy with this place today. I always bring my company vehicle here for service. Today I walk in new staff and she told me if I can leave my vehicle here because their back up. I took two of my son's tires to get patches at 2522 S. Academy Colorado Springs. The tires are Firestone Tires. Which they charge $40 to repair, although they are Firestone Tires. I have had Big O' tires on my truck and anytime I had to get a patch, they never charged me because they are their tires. Firestone has the rudest, no personality woman working behind the counter. She didn't care that these are Firestone tires. I am also looking for tires for my Truck and was going to get a quote. I will be putting new tires on my truck within the next month. I left without getting a quote. I couldn't deal with this unfriendly customer service. We left there and went Les Schwab by my house. What a world of difference. As we walked into Les Schwab, we were greeted. They took the two tires back for repair and didn't charge. I got a quote for tires and also shown all the displays of tires for my truck. If you can go elsewhere for tires, do so. AVOID Firestone on 2522 S. Academy. Colorado Springs. I've always had a Great experience with Big O' and now with Les Schwab. The downtown Firestone on Cascade is where I usually go. However, after returning to the COS airport on a Friday afternoon I discovered I had a flat and needed help from the S. Academy location. Luke was terrific! He gave me sound advice, honored a road hazard warranty I had purchased earlier and had me on my way with a new tire in less than one hour. I wanted to change my front brake pads. I had them all off; and realized my clamp was not big enough to depress the caliper. I took it into this local Firestone to see how much it would cost to install my brake pads. I was quoted $340.00 for the front only. I declined went to harbor freight and bought a caliper piston clamp for 18 dollars. Went home and did it myself in 40 mins. I would shop around, this place was not charging a fair amount. $340.00 quote for what took me 40 mins and very little tools. It is crazy. read more
