I brought my van to the shop to have the front end aligned. Also an oil change and a tire repair. When I got my van back, the alignment was so bad that it skips across the road at whatever angle it desires. My steering wheel is also off about 30° And my stability track is broken on my van and it was not before. Manager says most of the right things but does not perform well. Employees reflect this leadership shortcoming in their lack of attention to detail. I came in at 6pm with a broken gear shifter. My car could not turn off, because my keys wouldn't come out of the ignition, because my car couldn't go into park. Mind you, I'm a 23 year old who moved here 3 months ago with not a single clue about cars, and every shop was closed. I was freaking out, wondering how I would ever be able to turn my car off. Despite being extremely busy, they took a look. The mechanic tried as hard as he could, but he couldn't figure it out. He offered to park it for the night, so I let them pull it in and gave them my info. While i was doing that, he kept working on it and was able to fix it enough where I could get home and put my car into park. Life saver. I'm very thankful for all of the workers! read more

So it's on my ignorance of not checking hours on Google that my car is being held hostage overnight. Not to mention the time about a year ago when they reset the car's computer incorrectly, so I had to take more time off work the next day for them to resolve the crazy electrical problems they caused. read more

Do NOT have your car serviced at Firestone. They will completely take advantage of you, run away with your money, and not fix the problem, ESPECIALLY if you are a female by yourself. I went to this Firestone location on Saturday, June 30th to have a standard, 4-wheel alignment done on my Subaru. When I arrived to drop off my vehicle, the service advisor, Craig, told me the alignment would take about 1hr 30 minutes to complete. Craig ended up calling me after about 30 minutes to tell me the alignment had been completed and my car was ready for pick-up. When I went to pick up my car, Craig made no indication that there was any sort of issue with completing the alignment. I paid and left as normal. It was not until I received an online invoice from Firestone that I noticed that something was wrong. On the invoice for my alignment, under a section titled "Tech Notes", it said that the front adjusters on my vehicle hardly moved and the rear adjusters on my vehicle did not move at all. The technician notes also indicated that they had to use extreme heat on the front adjusters. I inspected my vehicle after seeing these technician notes. There was no indication of extreme heat or any indication of my front or rear wheels being in a different position than they had been in when I dropped the vehicle off at Firestone. When I noticed this, I called the same Firestone location back and asked for a report of my vehicle's measurements before and after the alignment they claimed to have completed. After they confirmed on the phone that they had a copy of the before and after measurements, I went back in store to see the results for myself. The report itself was absolutely insulting. The before and after measurements for the front and rear tires were virtually the same. 7 out of 12 of the measurements in the "after" section of the report were out of the specified safety range for my vehicle. To summarize, my wheels were NOT aligned even though I had paid for a 4-wheel alignment. When I explained the situation to Craig, he did not even attempt to remedy the situation. I asked why I was not made aware that the technician had experienced issues with aligning my tires when I had returned to pick up my vehicle. He said was that the technician was supposed to tell him, but the technician did not make him aware of the issues with the alignment for some unknown reason. I asked for a partial refund since, once again, my wheels were not aligned even though that is what I paid for. Craig replied that there was nothing they could do for me. All he did was place blame on the technician and offered me no alternatives to solve the issue. I ended up leaving, having paid for a service that I did not receive. If you're looking for actual quality service to be done on your car and employees that actually care about the work they are doing, I would NOT recommend bringing your vehicle to Firestone. There seems to be some sort of communication issue within the workers at this location that ends up negatively affecting the customer. And if you do end up experiencing issues with your service, they will not even attempt to make the situation right. read more

Dependable, efficient service - for any make/model vehicle (in my experience). I moved to Columbus, Ohio a little over 5 years ago and had to locate a new service provider for car maintenance. I had such a great experience at the Dublin-Granville location, both of my children ended up opening accounts with Firestone for their vehicles as well. That leads me to my first perceived perk: this is a national chain so if you run into an issue or require maintenance, you are likely near a location. However, you walk into a location and it feels like a local shop - friendly staff, waiting area with coffee, and a general "you matter" vibe. I have frequented a shop in South Toledo when handling work while visiting family there as well as this location on Dublin-Granville Road near Sawmill in Columbus. I like the convenience but it's the skill and level of service that keeps me returning. Scheduling regular maintenance can be done online with their scheduling tool, available on their website. You choose the location and the service desired (or tires desired) and request the date and time; which is confirmed via email within 1 business day (usually faster) - or you can call the site. I typically drop the car off and walk across the rear parking lot to either Barnes & Noble or Panera Bread and work while waiting for my services to be completed. My tips: 1) If purchasing a set of tires; buy the "lifetime" alignment offered with the new tire purchase. This means every time you have your tires rotated, there is no charge for alignment. If I recall correctly, the price was twice the amount of a single alignment. Pretty easy justification, in my mind - recovered at the 10,000 mile mark when you rotate and you save money from that point forward. 2) Price shop oil changes and look for discounts. Valvoline or other "instant oil change" services are convenient because you can wait in your car - but I have found having this service performed at Firestone saves me between $10-$20. 3) Consider their financing. 6 months same as cash is available for purchases over $250 - a nice line of credit to have in case of an emergency / unexpected repair and handy for purchasing tires. You can set up automatic payments on the credit website. I typically pay the charge off in 5-6 months so I don't have to pay financing charges. The only criticism I have is parking is a bit scarce. There are 3 spots near the entrance and then very tight access to other parking spots opposite the service doors. This is such a minor inconvenience it's barely worth mentioning - but good to know the first time you arrive so you are prepared. read more

Charged me $50 to check my AC for an issue, came back and said they couldn't figure it out. The next step is to pay $170 for a Freon refill (did one last summer) and it may or may not fix it, but they can continue to diagnose from there... Told them I don't think that's the issue because I've had that done and it didn't solve it before. Told them I had issues with blend door actuator and replaced that and that temporarily solved the problem... they ignored this and said pay $170 for the Freon recharge or there is nothing they can do... Basically payed $50 for no answers and for them to waste my time. Other than oil change and maybe tire rotation, I would go somewhere else for repairs of pretty much any degree. read more

Car got a flat tire, they were able to get me in right away and it only took a couple hours for a new tire and rotation! They got me in on a Sunday when almost every other tire place is closed. Went to another firestone on henderson road first and they immediately turned me away. Everyone there is very nice, they do close at 5 though so be conscious of that when going. Terrible service. Somewhat kind individuals, but terrible work. They were only supposed to change a tire, then of course they call to say I needed my wheels realigned. I get my car back and within that same 24 hour period, my front strut spring is now broken. I will never go to this place again. My car drives worse than when I took it in. read more

After already having been turned away at local Mr. Tire for a scheduled appointment today, I then scheduled an appointment at Firestone for later this afternoon to get an oil change. I selected the earliest available time (3 PM), and was called by the location about an hour after scheduling to ask me to reschedule for Wednesday. Since I needed the appointment today, and scheduled it online, yet you couldn't accomodate me, perhaps it is time to pony up the cash for a functioning website, rather than wasting everyone's time. Repair performed: removed and replaced blower motor resistor. Rating: Poor, Questionable Price Gouging Charged $140.99 for the replacement part, 7031127 TRANSISTOR BMR 1 PC TECCH. Looked online for the cost of a blower motor resistor which was $34.59, the Honda dealership's cost was $64.49. Without a doubt, price gouging. I asked the person that assisted me why it was so expensive and why that part was used. He stated that Firestone had no control over the pricing of parts and that the coding for that part was correct ( a transistor bmr).. Old part and packaging from new part weren't left in car. I contacted corporate office and received a refund of $106. read more

Now, it's never a good day when you have a flat tire (or a nearly flat tire) and have to make an unscheduled stop at a repair shop. I breezed in here a little before noon today with a leaky tire that I had been re-inflating on an accelerated schedule. I told the gentleman at the counter what was going on, he asked if I wanted them to try and repair the tire first and I agreed. He took the keys and said that it would be about 2 hours. I wandered out for lunch and some bookstore meanderings. About 1.75 hours later, I got a call that they had identified the problem and it was a simple fix BUT they found the same leak in another tire which I wasn't aware of. So, I had them fix that one too. All told, it took a little over two hours but that was worth it to have reliable tires again. They didn't have to check all my tires, plenty of other places would have fixed the tire that brought me in and sent me home. They went above and beyond and I am very happy that they did. I would recommend them to anyone in the NW corner who needs tires or some quick repairs done. read more

I really dislike franchise/chain auto service companies but my experience here was very good. When I walked in I was taken care of immediately. I showed up 15 minutes early and they started working on my car right away. I needed an oil change and it took a little longer than the place I usually go to, but this location isn't a drive-thru oil change location like my usual, which is why it isn't as fast. I asked why it's taking so long and the employee I spoke with assured me they will finish as soon as possible. He also went out of his way to make sure I was happy and asked if there was anything they could do to make sure I was having a good experience. Everyone was very friendly unlike many chain auto service companies I've been to where the staff are anti-social and all force a persona of being the "gruffest" and "toughest" men in the world. They also do a vehicle inspection for free and give you a print-out of all the scheduled maintenance for your car. The inspection has some good information in it. They offered other things to fix and replace on my car like other mechanic places... but one thing they didn't see was a minor oil leak I know of at the top of my engine (the valve cover gasket seal isn't perfect, it's an old car). Hence the four stars. I would rate this location much higher than many of the car mechanic places I've been too. read more

The service attendant working the front desk was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, I do not recommend going here for tire installation. I set an appointment for 5 pm and was not told about the status of my car until I approached the front desk after waiting an hour and a half. I was told it would be another half hour. Then 10 minutes later, I was told that my car would need an alignment. This implies that my car was not even being serviced until the last 30 minutes. I do not understand the point of making an appointment at 5 pm if my car won't be looked at until 6 pm. A tire installation that should not take longer than 1 hour took 2 hours to complete, so I will not be back to this location. read more

Took my car in for an oil change. Had a new belt put on a month earlier, they sliced on it and tried to sell me a new belt!!!. I asked to see the belt and Craig told me" customers aren't allowed in shop area. I told him to roll the car out and show me! I appreciate your interest in this matter Tom, glad to know your corporate office is paying attention to consumers. HOWEVER, I don't think a consumer should have to take the time to price match other Firestone locations to ensure they are getting fair pricing. I previously had a wheel hub replaced before I moved to the area and knew about what it should of cost. $388 was way too high for that part/service. Sure its great you'll price match, but should a consumer not expect to get the same cost/service at any local Firestone location and not have to call each of them to ensure that ? Then what about the issue with the license plate bulb, where they wanted me to pay for 2 of them when it only takes 1 bulb, and which WAS NOT even burnt out in the first place. So its not only an issue of a part/service costing well over a $100 higher on a needed repair, but also them making false claims for work that doesn't even need to be done.
