I had a very disappointing experience at this Valvoline location. From the moment I arrived, even though there were no other vehicles waiting and the shop was practically empty, the staff seemed annoyed and unwilling to help. The customer service was far below what I have experienced at other oil change locations. While my vehicle was being serviced, I repeatedly heard loud impacts coming from underneath the vehicle. This happened multiple times during the service and was concerning because my vehicle is my primary work tool. When I expressed my concern, I did not receive a clear explanation and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. In addition, several of the basic courtesy checks that are commonly performed during an oil change either were not completed or were not reviewed with me. What stood out the most was that when I left, the maintenance reminder on my Honda Odyssey was still on and the oil life indicator was still showing 15%, something that is normally reset after an oil change service. For that reason, I am attaching photos taken immediately after the service to document my experience. I am not posting this review to harm the company or to get something for free. I paid for the service in full and simply believe it is fair to share an honest experience so that other customers know what occurred. All I expected was professional service, clear communication, and for my vehicle to be treated with proper care and respect. I hope management reviews what happened and takes steps to improve both customer service and the overall quality of service at this location. read more

Just went for an oil change. Didn't get one because the guy directing me in had a smart mouth and Saying curse words didn't know my window was cracked. So i heard everything he said. Which was just rude and very unprofessional. Then he expected me to still want their services(yelling at me to back up) so i pulled off and went to a different place. When i had pulled off he said in a tone so "smart" "Okay nice bye" I will never come back here. Just flat out rude and disrespectful for no reason. This was the first place ever that showed me the oil, told me I don't need an oil change, then topped off all my fluids and didn't charge me a dime!!! I love going here! I have a Suzuki and when it comes to changing the oil, it's a PAIN because of the poor design. These guys do a great job and take the time to explain what's going on - sometimes even taking a picture so I can get a visual understanding. It's a fun atmosphere, as they joke and tease each other. They're very respectful though. Logan always addresses me as "ma'am." As a girl who knows nothing about cars, I feel like I'm not being taken advantage of and trust the advice they give. Plus, I always get coupons in the mail, so I save a few dollars. I recommend! read more

Great place. I didn't have time to drop my car off and wait for a imple oil change so I came here. You pay a little more but the service is great. I was in, had things check and done, paid for all within 20 mins and I drove off. They have cameras to show you how the workers are working and on what, and the guy helping was super helpful and informative. Didn't try to upsell me but when I told him I just bought this truck he gave me a list of different items to check when they were last done by previous owner and when they are usually due based on mileage. Three strikes and you're OUT. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for an oil change. First strike: Had a massive oil spill in our garage due to an oil plug not being correctly tightened. Second strike: Got an oil change before a trip down to North Carolina. After a few miles of driving and hearing a weird rattling sound in the front end of the car, we pulled over. THE OIL CAP HAD BEEN LEFT OFF!!! It was sitting in the small depression next to the hood latch and was shaking around making a noise. The worst part was that oil had spurted out of the top of the reservoir all over the inside of the hood and the engine area. We went to the closest valvoline and they cleaned up the car and added another quart of oil. But we had to deal with smelling burning oil the remained of the trip. Third strike: (I know, I know...I shouldn't have gone back. Oil dripping all over the place in my garage. Big puddle 12x8". To make things worse, we are trying to get our house ready to sell, so now there's ANOTHER thing I have to take care of. It took almost an hour for them to check my car and the manager (Nice guy BTW, really tried to help) tells me that a new guy who's a teenager was the under the car doing the oil change. What?!? The most important job there and the NEW guy who is a TEENAGER is doing it? Lastly, the manager offered to give me a refund but said he couldn't get in touch with his support people so he wanted me to write down my CC numbers and info so he couLD call them later. Had a great experience at this location! I stopped because of a squealing noise. I assumed they would just replace my serpentine belt. Instead they looked at the belt and determined it had just slipped, they tightened it and sent me on my way - no charge!! I don't think I've ever left a car repair shop without having received a laundry list of items that should be fixed. Will definitely return!! read more

The tech that shut the hood failed to put the prop rod in the proper place and left it laying against the electric fan. When I started the car I could hear it hitting the fan. The tech opened the hood and put it back in the clip that holds it in place but failed to mention that the grommet that holds the other end of the rod had pulled out from rubbing against the fan leaving it up to me to fix. This isn't the first time I have had issues with Valvoline Instant Oil Change but it's the last time. On a different car a few years back they apparently used an oil filter wrench to tighten the filter and actually twisted the filter to the point that it was leaking. Oil filters are to be installed by hand without a wrench. Their incompetence isn't worth the convenience! read more

I'm the kind of girl who puts off getting an oil change for as long as I can. I hate the whole experience... I always feel taken advantage of. Hell, I don't know if my air filter needs changed or not...... Sigh... So I decided my car might just stop running if I didn't get the oil changed so I stopped here on my way home. There was no wait. I pulled right in with the assistance of one of the guys working there. That big hole in the floor always makes me sort of nervous... Once the car was in place 4 guys start doing various things checking lights, air pressure etc. I was asked which type of oil I wanted and I chose the cheapest. I was prepared for the up sell and yet, there wasn't one! He asked if I wanted their newer oil that is a little better for the environment. It was the same price so I said yes. After about 5 minutes they show me my air filter, it looked clean to me... And before I could really think about it, he tells me it looks clean, and it probably would be good for another couple of oil changes (WHAT?!?!?!) I was shocked..... Next thing I know I'm handing the guy my credit card after being told the total was exactly what they said it would be in the beginning! So in conclusion ~ Totally painless, no pressure to upgrade anything, friendly staff, and a happy car. They have a customer for life. read more

After being told by a Ford dealer that it would be 2 hours to get my oil changed, I hopped over to VIOC on 161 to (hopefully) have it done much faster. I was not disappointed, and everything was great. The employees were courteous and didn't pressure me to have any additional services done (although they offered), and I appreciated the technician showing me the oil dipstick after the change was done so I knew it was fresh oil and filled to the right level. I was in and out in approximately 20 minutes. It's worth noting that VIOC isn't necessarily the cheapest place to get an oil change, but its worth paying a few dollars more it to have qualified people who aren't pushy, isn't it? Also a quick internet search will yield a number of coupons you can send to your phone for a discount. Quick lube places have earned themselves a bad reputation as a whole, but Valvoline stands out from the pack for not doing any of the troubling practices you've seen on those hidden camera investigations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, unless you have a Tesla. I'd be shocked if you drove one of those here and were charged without resistance. read more

Like most oil change places, they began by telling me I needed more services than I requested. After I declined to agree to more than the oil change and windshield wiper change, suddenly my 2016 car "wouldn't start". The technician said maybe it was Battery or alternator trouble. I said "nope" have had no trouble with either and asked them to jump start me. Drove home and have not had one issue since. Angry that a chain like this would resort to scamming honest people. Wow! Did the guys at the Valvoline at 2360 West Dublin Granville Rd Columbus, OH 43235 save the day for me & my car today! I had just come off the freeway and all of the sudden the message flashed on the dashboard of my 2019 Honda Civic, saying "Check Oil Pressure"! Well considering my car only has 23,000 miles on it, I certainly want to damage the engine. I was right by this Valvoline when this happened, so I pulled right in. God bless these guys as they found that my the oil plug had fallen completely out of the oil pan & I had lost all my oil! My last oil change I had gone to a local Honda dealership to get the oil changed. That will teach me to go someplace other than Valvoline to get my oil changed!! SURPRISE SURPRISE So, you know how when you go to one of these places, somebody greets you? You pull up, someone comes out and asks you what services you need, asks you to leave your keys in the car and enjoy the free coffee in the waiting room. Yeah thats been my experience every single time I've gone to get an oil change. NOT TODAY FOLKS My experience today at Valvoline went a little more like this: I pull up to the back of the joint, the two car ports are in use. No big deal, I need an oil change and i can wait. Oops, I guess these high school flunkies didn't attend customer service training day. I sit in my running car for TWENTY GDDMN MINUTES, watching Tweedle-Dee & Tweedle-Dumb piddle about two cars. After a few disinterested glances from one of them I knew something was up. AHHH FLAVOR COUNTRY It wasn't until had the pleasure of witnessing one "worker" slink from around the frontt of the building that I threw my car in reverse and sped off with my middle finger wagging in the air. Swear to Jebus, I thought this guy was going to acknowledge my presence; but instead he was going to his car to smoke a CIGARETTE. And lest I not forget to mention that he seemed to have left his belt in his mobile home, because his pants were hanging below "thine hind quarters." AVOID AT ALL COSTS If you have an hour to waste on getting your oil changed for over 50$, please go to this place and enjoy the SH-T SHOW which shall surely ensure. read more

Always fast and very friendly! The guys that work here are nice and I'm usually in and out in 15 minutes or less. They even put air in your tires after you've had an oil change! The traffic sucks on this road but it's definitely worth stopping here, especially if you're in a rush! This is the place to get your oil changed!! The in-house movie was amazing! It was "Frozen" a cute movie about a teenage girl with X-Men powers who could freeze things. She kept singing about letting it go but I really didn't get that part. The burger and fries AMAZING!! And the nice bearded man did not discriminate against my tattoos.. Including the wait time and service time it was a total of 45 minutes wait. They did not know how to put on windshield wipers. They finally figured it out, I even offer to help because I knew exactly how to put them on and they decline my help. They also almost forgot to put the air filter back in the car before I pulled off. The one guy ask my to put my keys on the dash which I have no idea why he asked me to do this. After finally leaving from getting my oil change and wipers put on. I stop because I notice a strange odor coming from my car. I then notice the cap was not pushed in completely for my windshield wiper as well. I would like to have a full refund of my services and I now had to take off work to take my car to another Valvoline shop to have this issue fixed and the oil change checked out. read more
