Went in for a flat tire repair. Waited in line behind two other people for about 1/2 hour. Seemed lengthy but got checked in fir a simple tire change. Employee seemed unmotivated to move with any speed other than slow despite a waiting room full of people that came before me and after. After checked in, came back almost two hours later. Flat was fixed correctly with new tire put on. Two stars goes all to the mechanics who did their job. It took over an hour to check out with the same guy upfront! And...Same customers were in waiting room when we got back. People were upset from the comments made directly to us and what we overheard from every customer there. When we finally went to pay, the employee who started to check us out suddenly left and we were waiting for 15 minutes - this is after he started to check us out! Just left. No explanation. We finally went to the garage to find someone, saw the person who was the one checking us out, sitting on a stool taking what appeared to be a break. I feel bad for the rest of the customers in the store. Some were waiting for five hours with their cars not even looked at yet. I typically like Firestone but this was the worst customer experience I think I have experienced this year and that is saying a lot with COVID business bad behavior. read more

But anyway, I had an appointment scheduled for 2pm and ended up waiting for over an hour and a half for a service that should have only taken 10 minutes. couldn't take a 24 inch rim off the tire horrible when a little Mom and Pop shop took them off for the past 10 years.. when I brought it there it seems like everybody there was scared of a bigger tire, then a Honda Civic that there used to... there's a girl that works there. One of my friends who live in PA referred me to firestone. I signed for a lifetime wheel alignment package and booked my appointment on 6/1 at 5 pm. I went a few minutes prior and checked in. Parked my car in the parking lot opposite the garage. The team picked it up on time and performed the alignment work on time. I was walking around and completed my walk while servicing is being performed. They walked me through the wheel alignment report and explained how to bring up my details when I go to any Firestone service center anywhere in the USA. When I asked regarding the status of the tires, they explained it well and recommended to replace in the coming fall. They also shared with me the upcoming Tires annual sale and suggested dropping to avail of the deals. The team is good and knowledgeable. Patient to explain details to the customers. I am lucky to have a good shop in the Brunswick zone I live. Keep up the good work!! read more

The customer service here is poor. The owner, Bill is rude and does not care for customers. They quote some price over the phone and a higher price when you go there. Because of this reason I asked him not to change my cabin filter. He still changed it in addition to other work I had authorized and asked me to pay for it. When I refused to pay for it he became very angry at me and asked me not to come to his shop again even for lifetime wheel alignment and other warranty services I had purchased earlier at his shop. He said that the warranty is Firestones and not Bill's(his) warranty and therefore he will not honor it. I will never go to his shop again. Please note that Bill is not honoring Firestone warranty or lifetime services bought at his own shop. read more

Came here for an oil change for my Hyundai elentra the wait time was 3 hours are you kidding me! This firestone is in a very spacious area. whats going on guys!? You have just the right amount of space to have a handful of workers available to service any one that comes in. How about having some one at the front desk that would greet customers the right way. One of the main mechanics was he only one at the floor while the other ones are working so basically this guy is killing time going back and forth. After waiting 10 minutes to speak to the mechanic he ask me if I'm coming in for a drop off. I said how long is the wait he said 3 hours!!!! You should have a mechanic available just to do oil changes that gets done under 20 minutes. Would consider talking to your team members about this and making it fair for your nearby clients. read more

I took off from work and when i got there the manager tells me"We cant work on your car" 9 months ago someone else had your car and we scratched the rim ..I was like ummm sooo you cant help me ..He said no.. The people who work at the counter are not knowledgeable about cars or their processes. Came in knowing I needed to replace my tires. Cost me $1100. They also charged me $11 for a diagnostic in order to replace my tires. The diagnostic came back estimating $8,000 worth of repairs needed. Their quotes for everything were outrageous, but I needed my tires done asap, and it was just easier to get it done there. It took longer than they originally estimated. This is a silly addition/complaint, but it says so much about they way they conduct business: I had to sign up for a Firestone card in order to finance my tires. When you sign up for the card you get a free oil change. The woman at the counter ensured that the oil change is free, even though I drive an SUV. When I came back for the oil change I was charged $6, because the free oil change is only for sedans. I get it, $6 isn't a huge deal. But even after explaining my situation to the front desk he replied with "There is nothing I can do for you". The oil change took 4 hours. Moral of the story: Classic scam chain auto repair, looking to push you into spending more money. read more

My experience with this company was horrible. I came in for tires. They called halfway through and said you need brakes and new rotors,(which I knew)and was quoted aprice that any where else would not cost me half as much. Especially since they were only talking about the front brakes not the back. I know cars especially my own. I politely declined they called back 10 minutes later so I gave the phone to my husband he said no thanks and they accepted it. No call backs, no hassle. I am really close to a 5 here. I went in after not coming here for years. I saw new management so I said try it. I needed breaks. The previous auto repair group of whom who I wrote a review on, lost my business so I need someone new. I walked in - it's nice and clean. There was help right away. I was a walk in on Memorial Day weekend- they accommodated me. I told them to please not try to up sell me I only need pads. I went to lunch came back they took my car for a test drive before going in. I thought this interesting the manager explained calmly why and I was good with it. Then he thought I would benefit from resurfacing or cutting the rotor. But he brought me to show me why he was recommending it. I agreed. I didn't need new rotors but they took care of my breaks and oil change in a timely manner for a good price. They weren't the lowest but they were more than reasonable and won my business for now. read more

The sales person even admitted that he should have quoted me $80 less (ONLY after I contested the price) but since he "didn't realize" he could scroll down all the way in my history (and he's been working there for a few years!) he didn't see that I had break pads done a few years ago. This is one of the worst car service that I ever had (aside from Route 18 chrysler ) . I have been four times already to fix an issue . Every time , they tell me that the issue is fixed . I have to drive few few more miles to make the error message displayed in the console go away. This time ,the technician told me that I should posses the tool that should fix the issue . So it is not their fault. It is unfortunate , I have to deal with this . This is my last trip to this place. Professionalism - 0 ; Work ethics - 0 ; Work Completion - 0 . They always do their job here -- and are always friendly when they submit a form for you. But I just hate these kind of established chains, because all they do is try to get MORE money out of you. I was already paying around $500 for four new tires, rotation, alignment, and while I was waiting for it to be done, exhausted from a long day (it was around Thanksgiving) they came up to me to tell me that my battery needed changing, that it was low and wouldn't last me very long. He showed me the paper/numbers, and it didn't seem as dire as he tried to make it sound. I haven't had any trouble starting my car either. So I refused, because I wasn't gonna tack on another $200 bucks to do it prematurely. When I said no, he got kind of a weird look on his face, and it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Moments later, I heard someone else tell an old lady that her battery needed changing. Now, that might have been a total coincidence, but it almost feels like they were targeting females, trying to scare them into thinking their battery would die and they'd be stranded. Smart strategy if that were the case, but annoying. Every time I go there for a diagnostic --mandatory before they do any work -- they have a huge list of things that needs to be "fixed". So every time I go there, apparently my car is falling apart. Please. Plenty of parking out in front, and a decent waiting area. Right by Brunswick Square Mall so you can shop, grab food,or chill at Barnes Noble/Panera while waiting. read more

They're always friendly and they take walk-ins. Plus it's right next to a mall so you can go there while you wait. Very unhappy with this place. I brought my car in today to get a new tire, Maira called and told me to come pick it up. When I arrived they tried to up-sell me a $20 fee to reset the TPMS light. (Tire Light) I told them that I have bought 4 tires from them in the last 2 months and my daughter's vehicle was also there at the same time and they should have just reset it for me. In my opinion that is terrible customer service and they obviously don't care about customer retention. For $20 they have lost a family for life. We currently have 5 cars in our family that we have always gone to them for tires and other things. No we will never go back to them again!! read more

My Complain for cheating and fraud by Firestone complete auto care.i gave my car for repair."Christopher Brizak" is the manager who is responsible. complaint for Firestone complete auto care .i took my car at above mentioned repair shop,they told me tire has to be changed and they are going to do full diagnosis for car if anything has to be repaired.i left car and then called me that every thing is fine except front inner and outer tire rod has to be replaced. i took there word for granted and i permitted them to replace both tire rods. at evening they called for pickup car ,my son went and he took car ans it was driving very weird and car was wobbling and making noise,he turn around and went back and talked to manager Christopher Brizak , he was very rude with my son. my son repeatedly told him its noise in car and car is not performing properly, he kept arguing with my son very rudely,my son called me and explain the whole situation , i called and try to talk with manager, he took my phone after 20 mints then i mentioned about the car and he was rude on phone started laughing at me.at that point my doubt started growing about there repairs, so i asked him can i have my old parts back and he said they cannot give parts because they have to send back to company which was lie. soon i asked for parts he said they will check it again and call me back.my son left the car and came back. then they called me and says now hub ring is bad so you need to replace it.now my doubt for there repair grown very strong ,so decided to take my car and brought it to Audi dealership in Edison NJ. they checked and first they said front outer tire rod has replaced which was not at all necessary.and they have not replaced inner tire rod.i took my car from Audi and took in writing that only front outer tire rod has replaced no front inner tire rod. i called manager Christopher Brizak and at that point i did not mention any thing and i asked for parts which he replaced and he said he has only front outer and front inner they scrapped it.so he lied to me and started cursing me.then i told him you cheated me and i have in writing from Audi that only front outer tire rod is replaced which was not necessary.so changed whole story and says i have check my video recording if mechanic has changed parts. i told him you knew what you deed a, mechanic does not order parts, then i checked with my brother who used to work for Firestone in Edison,he tried to talk with manager and cursed him and hangup the phone.in the mean time i complained Firestone corporate office and district manager Mr Edward called me and he heard my side of story , then he says manager(Christopher Brizak) says he forget to give me credit for front inner rod. so lied to district manager. then district manager said to me he will credit parts and labor and will replace hub ring with no cost.i agreed at that point with district manager ,but my complain to Firestone about cheating and fraud from manager still remain there and no action was taken at manager Christopher Brizak.When i went to pick up my car, and i saw proper amount was not credited to my account i asked for Christopher Brizak,i waited for 1 hr and he did not showed up and ignored me,then i complained again on 28th august to Firestone corporate and till today no one bother to called me.i am going to lawsuit them for cheating and fraud misbehaving and putting my son life risk by not diagnosing properly and to make money he lied for every thing.i want this manager to be punished and requiring business to pay a dollar amount as punishment for alleged wrong doing.if not i will go to media and give all this cheating and fraud detail. i strongly recommend not to give your car to Eastbrunswick location , manager at this location is thief, cheat and fraud. he is rude and .obnoxious individual ,he don't deserve that job he should be behind bar. read more

Well so far so good, I brought my vette there for tires. It took awhile for them to find and have the tires shipped there. I wanted non R/f and y or w speed rating in an all season tire. Finally Continental had them. The born on date was only a few months old so I took them. I had to show them where to place the lifting pads as they don't get many of these cars to work on. The mechanic was carefull and balanced and mounted the tires correctly as I watched him the whole time. They did try to charge me for valve stems which they couldn't have changed at 7 bucks apiece. But I knew they were going to do that. read more

Having left Pep Boys over on Route 9S in Old Bridge after a bait and switch scheme they had going, I called around to a few places, and came upon Firestone Complete Auto Care over in East Brunswick behind the mall, and am happy to say I would definitely go back. The tires they advertise as "in stock" ARE actually in stock, prices are comparable, and Jeff, the gentleman who answered the phone, was extremely polite and professional. I am honestly surprised by the low ratings this location has. I usually try to find a "local guy" for car repairs, but started using this firestone when I moved into the area and have relied on them ever since. Everyone has always been remarkably accommodating, honest, and friendly. Went this morning at 7 am and they told me the diagnostic alone could take an hour. I mentioned that I had to get to work somewhat on time and in the end the diagnostics, getting the part brought in and the fix itself took less than 90 minutes. They do give you additional recommendations (what car service chain wouldn't) but no one has ever been pushy or made me feel like I was being taken advantage of just because I'm a woman with a car that needs repairs. read more

I don't know why I came back here. First visit was in August of this year. A two hour repair turned into a 5 hour day. Why? Because apparently they couldn't get a right sized piece for one of my tires. They couldn't even explain to me what piece they were referring to. They gave me an oil change gift certificate and told me they will call me when they got it in, no call. No one knew what I was talking about. Now I'm sitting, waiting for my car to be pulled in, I'm the only one here and my car is STILL waiting after 20 mins. I came in because a misfire (got a FREE diagnostics at autozone) told them and the manager was like I can fix that but you could be wrong. So I have to pay $100 bucks to do the same thing that autozone does for free....to tell me the same thing. Oh and the manager laughed at me when I told him about the tired. Condensing. Do. Not. Come. Here. We only do bc my family has their credit card. But we're paying that off and saying buy bye. read more

This place is extremely expensive for auto repair -- they try to upsell you everything even though your car will not need it (i.e. lifetime alignment, lifetime tire rotations, life time etc.). I have an older model toyota which was having some significant suspension issues - they provided me a quote for more than the car was worth! I was in utter shock until I found a more reputable local mechanic that did the same exact job for a fraction of the cost. While they my have some of the best qualified technicians and equipment around, it does not justify charging astronomical amounts for repair. read more

I left my car there on Saturday to await the delivery of tires from TireRack, that Firestone would install. I received confirmation that UPS delivered at 3:30 on Tuesday, as expected. When I called at 5 to make sure that the car would be done by closing at 7, the service person told me the tires weren't there. When I mentioned the signed delivery confirmation, he explained that they receive too many tires at a time from TireRack to check them all in, and it's up to the customer to let them know that the tires have arrived. Firestone should at least let the customer know that they need a heads up when the tires come in. Leaving all that to chance is just poor customer service. They did manage to get the two tires installed before closing. They didn't call me to let me know, but I called them. I paid over the phone, and let them know I wouldn't be there until after closing, so please lock the key in the car, and I'll get in with my spare. Because the keyfob has a sensor, I explained the simple steps to disable the sensor and be able to lock the key inside. The guy on the phone said he'd figure it out (I don't think he really listened to the two sentence instructions I gave him). When I got there to get the car, it was locked, but the keys weren't in it. I had to make an extra trip back to Firestone for my key and receipt. My car is 9 years old, so this isn't brand new keyfob technology that they might not be expected to know how to deal with. The button to disable the keyfob is RIGHT NEXT TO the button to reset the tire pressure monitor! I'd have given them 1 1/2 stars if I could. This is all stuff that they could deal with better with little effort or cost. Come on guys, get it together! I'll be going to a different tire shop next time. read more
