On each occasion, no communication was forthcoming. By mid-afternoon--only after initiating contact ourselves--we were informed that the vehicle had yet to be inspected. An isolated oversight might be overlooked; a pattern of this consistency cannot. More troubling still, these representations were made by the owner directly. Precision in communication and stewardship of a client's time are not aspirational virtues in a professional setting--they are the baseline. To repeatedly offer assurances so detached from operational reality reflects a standard of practice that is, at best, indifferent. We extended ample latitude in the expectation that the experience would right itself. It did not. Accordingly, we cannot recommend this business and will not be returning.

I was looking for a closer, trustworthy mechanic but this was not it! I was looking for someone to change my radio fuse, and the guy on the phone quoted me $125 which was the same quote that I received at my trusted mechanic so I gave them a chance. When I picked up my car, my invoice was $200. The guy on the phone may have mistakenly given me a low estimate but definitely wasn't prepared to pay $200 to pop in a radio fuse. I let the guy who invoiced me know that and his response was like "What's the problem?" and my response was like "That's really expensive for a fuse, and I was quoted over the phone something lower." So I got overpriced for a fuse, I chalked it up to "City" Pricing. I can move on. However, about 7 months later, my car stalled on a mtn pass at night!! I took it to my trusted mechanic, and they said my battery, alternator, etc was fine...but they did notice that my connector was loose!! They didn't want to point any fingers and neither will I however, it's just too close of a coincidence for me to not think SD Automotive had a play on it since they were the last mechanic I took my car to. I've only taken my car to one mechanic in Centennial and will stick with them. Maybe they had something to do wiith it...maybe not...but risking my life and safety is not forgivable in my book, and I'm a pretty forgiving person lol. Pretty suspicious circumstances. They originally did my brakes, and the first time they installed the wrong part that didn't fit, requiring me to return to have it corrected. About 20,000 miles later getting my other set of brakes fix d, I started experiencing brake issues again, including overheating, so I brought the truck back for a brake inspection. They told me my pads were at 6mm/about half life, yet wanted me to pay for new brakes and rotors before identifying what was actually causing the problem. Instead, I took my truck to another independent shop. They diagnosed the issue as a bad caliper, got the part, replaced it the same day, and installed the pads and rotors I had already purchased. That is my biggest problem with this experience. If my pads were supposedly still at half life, why were my brakes overheating? And why recommend that I spend money replacing pads and rotors without first determining why they were having problems? I specifically brought the vehicle in for a brake inspection, yet another shop was the one that identified the caliper issue. I also had a separate issue where my oil cap and dipstick were found out/unsecured and oil had gotten around my engine compartment. Another shop brought it to my attention. Brakes Plus has denied responsibility and, in my opinion, has taken no accountability for it. Their response to my BBB complaint focuses heavily on the 6mm pad measurement and their offer to warranty the brakes, but that misses my entire concern. Replacing parts without diagnosing what caused them to have problems in the first place isn't a solution. Between the wrong part during the original brake job, recommending new brakes and rotors without identifying the underlying caliper problem, and the oil cap/dipstick situation, I won't be returning.

While having the oil changed on my van - my oil change company did an inspection and found out that the last 3 feet of my exhaust pipe had broken off. They said they couldn't do it and I would need to take to an exhaust repair shop. Not knowing of any , I did an AI search and found this local company just down the street. Stopped by and they said that they could fix it. I asked if they had time today and they said they would try to fit me in. At the end of the day - I got the call that my van was fixed. They were reasonably priced and I am happy with the results. So if you ever need exhaust work on your vehicle - you might give them a try. They are called Neighborhood Automotive and are located at Garrison and Ken Caryl.

I turned off my car to get gas and had to get a jump to get it started again. So this morning I looked up local battery places and found Les Schwab. I jumped my car to get it started and headed over 45 minutes early. Around 15 minutes before opening I turned off my car and headed to the benches in the front to wait for the doors to open at 8am. That's when the amazing service started. Adam saw me heading to the front benches and stopped setting up the place to welcome me and ask why I was there. I told him about the battery and he took me right inside, (15 minutes before they opened), to get the process started. I've never used a Les Schwab so he welcomed me again and got one of his service techs started on getting me a new battery. Mind you, it's still before the time they officially open. The waiting room is huge, clean, bright, with seating, tables, fresh coffee machine and even popcorn, if that's the kind of breakfast you eat. They have magazines and television if you don't want to stare at your phone. If you want to stare at your phone, cell service in that area is lacking, so they have guest WIFI. (Of course they do.) I had just finished my first cup of fresh coffee when they were calling me name to tell me my new battery was installed. I left the place 15 minutes after it opened. This place SCREAMS "We care about customers! Thank you Les Schwab and thank you Adam and Luke! You've won a new customer.

Kearny Garage repeatedly promised to finish the car but failed to do so, overcharged me--including duplicate fees--lost parts I supplied, and damaged existing parts. When the second mechanic completed the work, he found numerous issues with Kearny Garage's repairs, including improperly installed new heads that allowed coolant to leak into the engine and could have destroyed it. Had Kearny Garage completed the work as it was, the engine likely would have failed immediately and required replacement. I then had to spend thousands of dollars correcting Kearny Garage's work, and I was unable to enjoy driving my convertible for months. Kearny Garage presents itself as a locally owned neighborhood auto shop, but it is actually owned by Sun Auto, a national auto service conglomerate. I also learned that the mechanic often takes shortcuts to complete jobs faster than the time billed to customers, and management appears to support that practice. The store manager was arrogant, condescending, and showed little concern for customer service. Fortunately, some locally owned automotive garages remain in the neighborhood and still value customers over profit. STILL WAITING FOR KEARNY GARAGE TO MAKE THIS RIGHT????

After about $4000 of quoted repairs ($2000 for the fan replacement), they also quoted me $500 to replace a dead battery. Five hundred dollars for a car battery that should be $250 maximum. The battery was under warranty with AAA so I said I will get them to replace it for free. The kicker is that when AAA tested the battery it was still working completely fine. Three months later the battery is in good health. I wish I would've read other reviews before taking my vehicle here, but let this be a warning to anyone else looking to use this shop. They are dishonest, will overcharge you for parts, try to sell you on unnecessary services, and charge exorbitant labor fees. Seek anywhere else.
