I went in to have a tire checked out. Service time was reasonable, I got updates and didn't feel overcharged

I had a perfect experience at this location, which is amazing because I had issues at a different location last year. I think that was a one off thigh, because i had always had a pleasant experience there before. Due to my less than stellar visit, I put in a very detailed and wordy complaint. No one reached out to me, so I had to go another route which got me a call, but Yoon returning the call, I never got another call back! I had forgotten about my issues at hand and it was brought back to my attention that issues were never resolved! I reached out online and was told someone would contact me within 48 business hours. I actually got a call first thing the next morning, phenomenal! I spoke with Tommy, who oversees multiple locations and we talked about my previous issues and he told me to come in for a free diagnostic, and we'd take it from there. I got my diagnostic done and they found one problem that was causing one of my two issues I've been experiencing. They had to order a part for me that wouldn't arrive until 330, so they did to just come back and it should only take 15-20 minutes. The estimate was right on point! All the gentlemen in the location were very nice and informative, and i have nothing but good things to say of them all. I was told of a couple of other things I may want to take care of, and i will be taking care of them at this location going forward. I was traveling through Virginia and staying in Fredricksburg for a night and I saw there was a Firestone shop three minutes from my hotel. This local Firestone had good reviews, so I made an appointment on the app for four services to be done the next morning. On my arrival, I identified myself and requested the four services. Two hours later, my car was ready and we continued on our six hour ride home. That afternoon we stopped in Baltimore for gas and that's when I noticed an annoying scratch on the rim closest to the fuel filler cap. This scratch appeared 3-4 weeks ago and I don't know how it happened, but it bugs me. But now seeing that scratch on the same wheel location as before I got the tire rotation means that Firestone failed to rotate that wheel. I was furious. I called the shop and spoke with Mark, the manager on duty. I explained the situation and how his mechanic didn't rotate my tires. But did he rotate or not rotate the other side?? Mark looked over my work order and saw how the original service advisor noted the tire rotation from my app request, but he didn't request the service to be performed. He acknowledge the failure, owned up to the failure and repeatedly apologized. He wanted me to come back so they could perform the work, but as mentioned earlier, I live six hours away. Also, FWIW, I have "lifetime" alignment, rotation and balancing, so there was no direct financial loss to me. Mark expertly defused my anger. Instead of BSing me, he owned up to the mistake and wanted to fix it. I understand that mistakes happen. I appreciate the way he handled my anger and for that reason, this Firestone gets five stars from me. read more

I've been using Firestone Tires for years. They're my go to for new tires, alignment, rotation, and some suspension work. The organization is extremely reputable. They back their work and parts. I've used Firestone is several states. Firestone provides a lifetime warranty for air pressure check and rotation when tires are purchased from them, so If I'm traveling and my air pressure is low I'll visit a local shop. As with any mechanic shop: ask questions, do your own research, but overall this is a good shop. Morgan and Sergio are great. Very knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. Expense wise, they're in line with local shops. They're very honest about their pricing. Just ask. Now if you're waiting. There are no complementary anything. And the bathroom is .. not kept. But hey! Just use a paper towel when you touch things. And bring your own water. read more

Great experience. Lobby is comfortable and well laid out. Customer service, both on the phone to make an appointment and in person for the actual appointment, was courteous and helpful. There was a pretty long wait for an oil change (two hours *after* my vehicle was taken into the service bay) but it was explained to me and much of it had to do w a call to the manufacturer that held things up. This Firestone location was fantastic. After dealing with a nightmare with AAA, with a blowout and AAA was no help at all. After a 3 hr wait, we ended up at this Firestone, they were great, we brought the tire to them to replace with a new one. We then went back to put it on our camper, we then had to drive to their location to buy another tire for the other side. They close at 7 PM, I Kknew we wouldn't be able to make it in time asked if we could spend the night in their parking lot, they said yes. However, Jamie & Russel stayed late to help us. I've been going there for years. I stopped by for new breaks and some other repairs. $1,400.00 in repairs. Paid and left. I got out of their parking lot onto route one and the transmission wouldn't shift out of first gear. I didn't drive the car one half mile before I took it back. Ended up selling the car to CarMax for parts. Even filled up the gas tank before I got to Firestone because gas was cheaper than in my neighborhood. I can't prove anything but in my opinion, just to much of a coincidence. They will never see my smiling face again. read more

Bad experience I had with them. Don't go there if you want them to cheat you into paying more money for your car then you intend to. The mechanics there seem to like to sabotage your car if you don't agree to paying more money for more work; so you have to go back to them to get more done on your car. One hour into our trip from Springfield, V.A to North Carolina the tire pressure alert turns on. After stopping by a tire shop and being told it was not repairable we needed a tire asap. Every year since 2016, when I moved to the area, I have taken my car here for a state inspection and I always have gotten the same response when I walk in. I am told there is a long wait and my car won't be ready till this afternoon. No matter which weekend I go on they seem to never have time to get my car inspected. Every year I have waited and my car was always done in less then the time they gave me. This year, today, I was told I need to go somewhere else. If you don't want your customers to have the option to wait for their vehicle to be done then you should advertise that. I have never had so much hassle over an inspection until coming here and I was shocked that my business was turned away because you have 6 cars ahead of mine. I don't have another driver nor do I have anyone who can pick me up, so I understand I may be here for 2+ hours but I have no other choice.... but I was completely turned away today. I decided to drive to my old shop where they had 4 people in front of mine and were able to get my car done in a hour hassle free. I'm disappointed that Firestone has made it so difficult for me every year and my business has been pushed away. Instead I am left to drive over an hour from home for decent service. read more

Been there twice now and both times they really went out of their way to find me discounts and coupons even though I only came in for an oil change. Super friendly and even checked to see if I needed my air filter changed free of charge. I expected (like most places) to automatically say yes just to make some extra money but they told me I didn't have to change a thing for at least 6 months so I would only need the oil change. I went in for new tires. The guy calls and tells me I needed my brakes dusted which is not a thing look it up. Says I need an alignment which I didn't it didn't pull even a little. Says I need new shocks also did not need, names all this other crap, doesn't name the only thing I actually needed a new rotor! We brought our car in with high hopes, since they had the best reviews for a Firestone establishment. Unfortunately, we had to come back on several occasions to have them rectify their work. We came in to get some brake work done since we heard a squealing noise. They inspected our brakes and told us we needed new brake pads and new rotors. We figure we needed it and approved the work. We came back to pick up our car, and not a minute later we turned right back into their parking lot to notify them that we still heard the same noise! When asked what was the issue, he stated that the new rotors may be a little thicker than the original one. When we asked what was wrong with the original rotors, the mechanic told us, "Nothing was wrong with it. There were no scratches or grooves in them. We just recommend that you get new rotors whenever you get new brake pads." SERIOUSLY?!?! That means that the rotors could have just been resurfaced, which is included in their $99 brake coupon, but since they make more money on installing new rotors instead of resurfacing, they told us we needed it. So they milked us on that part and was DISHONEST. Strike one! We brought it back to them a second time to fix the brake noise problem that still existed after inspection and installation. We took one of their guys on a test drive, and he heard the grinding noise as well. Sergio gave us a call and told us that the noise was coming from the rear right brakes, and that he'd fix it at no charge. Here is the thing, we brought our car in to get our brakes done, and for a brake inspection, so if you truly inspected ALL of our brakes, wouldn't you have caught that issue in the first place? Strike two! We left the car in their shop on a Friday evening, and we were told that we'd get the car between 10-12 PM the following day. Noon came, and nothing, so we gave them until 1 PM, NOTHING. We called them to check the status, and isn't it a coincidence that when we finally called them to check the status, our car was finally up and being worked on? We finally got a call back from them around 3:30 PM. We pick the car up, and we still hear the noise when braking, it isn't as loud, but it was still there. At this point, we were done with their establishment. We get home, and put our car on park, and pull our parking brake, we noticed that it felt loose and did not have a "give" to it. That alerted us to try it on neutral and put on the parking brake, and our car rolled back! Now, we are upset since this is our life on the line! We drove back to the store a third time, and told them the problem. They took our car into their workspace, and Cameron spoke to some of their other mechanics. It appeared that they were having a back and forth conversation. Cameron then came back and asked us, "how far did we pull the parking brake?" We said we pulled it like we normally would. He said it needed to be pulled up higher. We tested it again and it would still roll down a hill unless it was on its very last notch. This was not the case before we took it to the shop. Since they replaced the rear calipers, they should have adjusted the parking brake (per the Hyundai technical manual). Strike three! We know they did not do it, because they offered to readjust the parking brake. We don't want them to work on our car anymore, so we left and plan to take it to the dealer. We are the original owners of the car and this was the first time getting our brakes worked on. We are not satisfied with this place. It was a waste of time, and every time we took the car in to fix one problem, another one occurred. read more

What a clown show. I selected Firestone 9600 Jefferson Davis Highway to install Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my 2016 Mustang GT. Car has 255/275 offset tires. This place put the front tires on the back of the car! I thought the tires sucked because they broke loose frequently under normal acceleration. It was about 2000 miles before I noticed the tires were installed wrong. Called them up and they didn't seem as concerned as I was. Laughed it off and offered to install them correctly if I took it back in. These were expensive tires and I trusted Firestone to install them correctly. They failed me. If a tire place can't even get something as basic as putting tires on correctly, I would be highly suspect of any other service they provide. Will not be a Firestone customer ever again. read more

Con artists!!! They said I needed a new power steering pump and it would be $550 to fix. I was not having any problem at all with my steering so I took it somewhere else and that shop showed me my power steering pump and that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. read more

Had some odd noises on our van heading to Myrtle Beach on December 27. Told us to pop in even though they were extremely busy. Had the vehicle on the hoist very quickly, checked everything over, reassured us we were fine to carry on and presented us with a bill for $9.00 after an hour and a half!
