I have never been to another business that cared SO little about the customer knowing they were being ripped off. On the phone they said $496, instead of calling me to tell me the tires I needed were different, they waited until I got there to say that they've gone up to $724. They also tout "free installation", but if you charge a fee to "balance the wheels" which ALWAYS has to be done when putting on new tires, news flash, it ain't free. The disappointment continues at Firestone in Hingham Massachusetts. After calling daily to try get get an answer if a part was in that they had ordered (and they told me I needed) the last guy said he found a part in the back for a Nissan- must be my part he said- no name was attached. He made an appointment for me to drop off the car the following day at 11:00. We came back and the guy (another new guy) said "we don't see anything broken." He asked us what the part was for. We told him Firestone called us and said the part was needed because of the rattling noise by the wheel. They never took it for a test ride never looked at the repair history and obviously never read the notes from my numerous calls. Total epic FAIL. I called in yesterday morning to make an appointment for an oil change, and also asked that they check out a sound that was coming from the engine when the car was turned on. My wife brought my car at 4:45 for the 5:00 appointment, and was immediately told in a very condescending tone from an employee named John that an appointment for the oil change was never made, and it was only for the sound from the engine. I absolutely made the appointment appropriately, and John completely pushed blame on everyone but himself. He never apologized for the mis-communication, and was not helpful at all. She was spoken down to multiple times by John, and was never given the appropriate information that was requested when leaving. We have both gone to this location for a number of years, and will not be returning. read more

I am a returning customer at the Firestone location in Hingham. I will continue to give them business and I highly recommend them. I purchased 4 new tires from Firestone last winter. I also returned to them recently for a new tire. Customer service is great. I mainly have dealt with Dave. He was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. Also, the turn around time on the service is also timely. I am very pleased with Firestone in Hingham and will plan on returning for future service. I wanted to share an amazing experience that I had with this group last night (7/5/16). I pulled into the shop 20 mins before the close of business, with what I thought was a tire issue. Without fail, the team was happy to help, and assured me they can get it done. Once they started, they realized that it wasn't a tire issue but a cracked rim. WOW, I dont understand why would auto shops would lie to customers. I had bought a car from a dealer near this firestone. They must work with the dealer I bought the car from. Lets start by me trying to get a inspection sticker for my car. I got a rejection sticker because my muffler had a leak. So I contacted the dealer I bought the car from told him. So he tells me to bring it to firestone so they can check it out. I explained to them that the inspection station found a leak. They checked the car and said there was no leak and the inspection station was lying and just trying to tell me to get the exhaust change. They said the noise coming out of the car was normal that G35 come like that. Next I went back to the inspection place to tell them firestone said that there is no leak again they looked at it and told me theres a leak, they even took pictures. So i contacted the dealer that sold me the car to explain to him that there is a leak that firestone is lying. He didn't believe it, that firestone is good at what they do. Mind you they work together so I didn't know who to believe. What I did next is bring it to Infiniti dealer where they did a whole test on the car and what do you know there was a leak. I can't believe firestone try to lie to me and say there wasn't a leak. i had prove from two places saying there was a leak in the exhaust. Again i take it back to firestone today Dec 22nd and what do you know FIRESTONE tells me there is a leak. I knew from the beginning there was a leak in the exhaust you would think a place of business like firestone would tell you there truth. Please Please don't trust these people. I have been going to Firestone in Hingham for years and many cars. I also have some work done at the dealerships that I feel are best done there. Yesterday I made an appointment for an oil change at Firestone, Hingham, I told them I needed to wait and arrived at 7am. They took our Nissan Versa right in. I asked for them to do 2 other things (rotate the tires and adjust the rear drum brakes if needed) if they had time. Bob said, we have 12 hours, and I was pleased with that. I was asked if my hood had a special release, as the release lever was bound up and they didn't want to break it. I was allowed into the shop and with a very hard pull, it released. I asked them to spray lube the mechanism, which they did. In a short time I was on my way home. As I usually do, I looked under the hood, or tried to. The hood release cable was disconnected under the dash. I spent the next half hour reconnecting it and finally got the hood opened. They had sprayed the mechanism but evidently never worked it to be sure it worked correctly. The receipt comment said "may need hood cable and latch hard to open" I re-lubed it and closed and opened the hood several times. It is much better now. After examining my receipt and realizing the tire rotation had not been done, I called and spoke to Bob about the latch and the fact that they had not rotated the tires. We agreed that he must not have heard the rotation request. He offered to complete that job if I would return. I told him it was something would do later. Bottom line, just like at a restaurant, if the service person would repeat what they were going to do and if the supervisor would inspect a finished vehicle, these problems could be avoided. I will continue to go to Firestone, Hingham with great caution and closer scrutiny. read more

To get straight to the point, the place is a total scam. Went to get an oil change. When we went back to get the car, we were told that we had to buy a new dip stick because the one that was in the car "disintegrated". We were told that we need a coolant flush because the coolant had "evaporated". We were told that we needed a new front axle because of a broken boot and because they care so much, they would help us get financing with a Firestone credid card. I honestly hope their mothers are proud of them. None, I mean none of this is true. Dip sticks do not disintegrate. Like what?? Coolant does not evaporate. To where???? You replace the boot not the axle and on top of all that they disconnected the the heat sheild but forgot to reattach it before we left and when we went back because of the scrapping noise coming from under the car, they claimed the car was brought in that way. They couldnt figure out how to reattach it so they put it back on with .... ZIPTIES. Moronic, despicable, reprehensible.
