I came in to have my tires rotated and a chip on my tire checked out. I specifically told them that I'm worried about the chip on one of my tires and that it was the rear passenger tire. When they were finished I was told, "we've got you all patched up." I assumed they took care of the tire. I left to run errands to notice that the tire still had the large piece of rubber hanging off the tire. I went back. It turns out they only rotated the tires. I'm so annoyed with this location and their lack of attention to detail. I use to love Firestone (NW Hwy and Abrams) when I lived in Dallas. When I moved to Las Colinas, I went this Firestone for tires, inspections, and oil changes. Night and Day between the stokes. Because of the poor service, a lack of attention to detail and the constant unnecessary up-selling at this store, I have moved inspections and oil changes to a non-Firestone store nearby. I probably need a new tire, which will require all new tires, but I'm not getting them from this store or at this point, no Firestone at all. I'd much rather get them from Discount Tires. Or maybe I'll drive 25 miles to my old Firestone store. This store has absolutely terrible service. Enough is enough. And I bet they won't even respond to this message. read more

Ugh where to even begin. My battery died back in 2012 so I took it here because it was close. They quote me a decent price. Then they Call back to tell me that my car required a "special battery" that would run about $150. They refused to put a regular battery in my car for the price they quoted me. I was so short on time that I reluctantly agreed to the expensive battery. Now, not even 2 full years later, the overly expensive "special battery" DIED on me. I was so pissed . Since it's still under warranty I took it in to get my free battery. Then the guy went on to say that I would still be charged $70 for the replacement battery. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I spoke to a friendly mechanic at a different place and he told me that this firestone has THE WORST reputation within a 20 mile radius. After this experience, I'm spreading the word to everyone I know that this place is a joke and a rip off. read more

Rip off artist! Fortunately I know my car and baby it. I had hoped to get some freon added until I could find a reliable European auto care center. (Which I now have and am very happy! ) having just moved to Dallas I was not familiar with the area. Anyway, I drop my car off, 10 minutes later my husband gets a call. " sir it's the compressor it's going to cost 1800.00" we immediately declined. Again, it's a European car, only major work is done by a European car service dealer or center . So, my point is. They NEVER really checked my AC system. They should have evacuated the system, then ran dye to find the leak etc... Oh well shame on you Firestone! Stay far away from this place. The older man that works here is RUDE! This location completely messed up my car after a routine oil change. They also told me there was a nail in my tire that they couldn't patch, they told me I needed to buy a new tire. This was a flat out lie. I'm still riding on the same 4 tires and had someone at Pep Boys take a look at them for me. He told me my tires were fine. Reading the other reviews, it looks like this is a common tactic by this shop to scam people out of money. Cheaters.. i went to fix a small part replacement and they screwedup my car. I had to go back multiple times for multiple repairs which were unknown till then, and there was no stopping of repairs.. they call you back with new problems and new discounts to hook you up...i got so fedup and had to sell my car. read more

If you come in for a flat, they play a game that they can't fix it just to sell you a tire. Discount tire was able to fix my tire. They charge 20dls for tire rotation, discount tire does it for free. I had the TPMS sensor replaced and they damaged my rim and I had to bring it back because the light came back on my dashboard.... Avoid this place for any tire issues. read more

Poor Service. Wastage of Money totally. Looting!! For vehicle pre purchase inspection there was a scheme running that 50 check inspection will be done in just $10. They charged us $50 for the same scheme by giving some false info like that check will not include this and that kind of services. Still we decided to take the services and after inspection they mentioned the vehicle is in good condition. They didnt mentioned that the vehicle have load of rust and this vehicle will not work longer. Just because they missed telling few visible faults we decided to go to some other firestone and at that firestone we got satisfactory info. I submitted a BBB complaint about this company on 8.3.09 due to the manner in which Mike Shaw treated me. On 7.24.09, I had encountered an issue with my breaks that I did not understand after having them done by Firestone in February. My breaks made a VERY loud noise and I was extremely close to not stopping when coming to a busy intersection. Had I not veered out of the turn lane I had intended on being in, I would have rear ended the person in front of me. I took my car to Firestone to get this issue checked out. Yes, I was emotional because I have not experienced that before and my young child was in the car. Instead of being understanding, Mike Shaw opted to be extremely unprofessional and rude to me. When he called and let me know that nothing was wrong with my breaks, he was again just as uncaring as possible, not explaining anything to me. When I went in to pick up my car, Mike was not there, however the person who was at the front was less than concerned when I told him about the crack that had appeared in the skirt of my seat where someone had clearly thought they could move my seat forward in order to reach the pedals.He simply said, "Mike will be in tomorrow." Offered nothing more and was just as rude as Mike Shaw had been. I have not taken my car back to them because, frankly, I'm afraid something else will get dammaged. My car is not a Lexus, but I treat it like it is something I cannot replace because I CAN NOT replace it. I have a history of having this Firestone take care of my vehicle because it is so close to where I work and I have never received this kind of service from them, however after this incident, I am having to reconsider that decision. In order to understand what occurred on 7.24.09, I had to call a dealership to ask them why my car behaved the way it did, and only THEN was I told that the sound I heard coming from my breaks is my ABS. I have owned my car for two years and have never had the breaks replaced, but have also never heard my ABS kick in, so obviously I'm under the assumption that something is now wrong with my breaks. There is a lot riding on my breaks, however emotions aside, I want to make sure the $400.00 I paid to have my breaks completely redone is not a complete loss. On 8.24.09 I received a response from Mike Shaw: Vehicle was dropped off for a brake inspection complaining of vehicle not stopping in normal distance. Vehicle brakes were inspected and no problems were found. We called customer and explained that the noise she heard could have come from her ABS brake system and that the vehicle probably stopped at a shorter distance then would have accrued without having ABS option on her vehicle. Her complaint of a cracked drivers seat skirt because we moved her seat forward has no merit. Moving the seat to a safe position for the technician to drive the vehicle on a test drive is a standard automotive practice. Mark Shaw I notified the BBB that this is not acceptible. Mike is still treating me as though I am a raving lunatic when all I am trying to do is ensure the $400.00 + I spent on breaks was not a total waste of money. read more

I'm not sure why this place got bad reviews but I can only speak for oil change service and not regular maintenance check-ups or other services. This past weekend there was a nationwide coupon for an oil change and 4 tire rotation for $16.00 because they were celebrating the opening of their 1600th store. I walked in on a Saturday at around 11 AM and asked for an oil change. I already knew the wait would be long but I was given an estimate of 2 hours - now, normally I wouldn't be down to wait for 2 hours but down the street at Valvoline, the price for an oil change was $40.00!! Thank goodness for this location being near shopping centers with Target and other stores!! To my surprise, I got a phone call only an hour later saying my car was ready for pick up! SCORE! I came back and picked up my car - they suggested that I change by wiper blades but I declined it and they weren't pushy (which I appreciated). In total, the price of the oil change was around $19 after the $16 oil change, $2.50 disposal fee, and taxes - not too shabby if you ask me! read more

this has to be the worst place to go to, i went in one day because i saw that i had a nail in my tire, the guy went to go look at it, didn't care for me to take my tire off or anything just glanced and said no its to close to the side, you have to get a new tire which will cost 375$. i thought it was way to high so i went to a tire shop and he checked, the nail want even in the tire it was only in the treads, it hadn't even puncture the tire, I'm very disappointed never going back no matter what read more

Stay away! I have always changed my own oil but had recently sold my home and did not have the luxury of having my own garage at the time so I dropped by Firestone for a simple oil change. The result couldnt have been worse. Over the past 2 months, I have had over 2 quarts of oil leak from the drainplug. Now that I have a home, I went ahead and changed my oil in the hopes of resolving this. Turns out, they did not put the little crush washer that goes between the drainplug and the oil pan for my model car (its in the manual). Instead, they torqued the plug at nearly 100 lbs (factory says 33lbs max). They stripped the oil pan and dealership wants $522 to replace. I caution you when thinking about going to Firestone. If they cant do a simple oil change without destroying your car, then do you trust them with brakes and steering components?
