This location is great. I've never been to a Firestone but when the time came to get the battery replaced in my car, I did a lot of research and Firestone has the best bang for my buck. Of course, the day I went to go get my battery replaced, my car wouldn't even start. I called this location, talked to Jeff, and he got my appointment all set up for the same morning. I got there early but Jeff got me taken care of right away. I was really impressed; All the guys were really nice and gave exceptional customer service. I called this location and spoke with the Manager to schedule an appointment for a simple oil change. I arrived at 4:15 for my 4:30 appointment and at 5:30, my car was still waiting. I asked the guy at the counter for my keys back because waiting an hour for an appointment was unacceptable. His response was, "No one told you that's how long the wait usually is?". Seriously, what is the purpose of scheduling an appointment if I still have to wait over an hour to get my car checked out? If I wanted to spend my entire evening waiting for an oil change, I wouldn't have bothered to make an appointment. If you value your time, don't waste it here..... read more

Waste of my Time and Gas!!! I made a 5 pm apt at 8 am in the morning and I got an email that said they were checking for availability and would email me back if they could do it same day. I got the email back confirming they could get my brake change done same day and I had an appointment for 5 pm. I get to the appointment 20 min before 5pm just to make sure Im ok and the man tells me, "To be honest with you the break change is not going to happen today. We might be able to get the inspection done but not the change." I asked why and he said they had a few cars already being worked on and it takes time to do the breaks. Let me tell you I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona Automotive Institute, I know how long it takes to do breaks and the only reason I needed to go to a place like this was because I have a 7 month old baby who is sick and 2 herniated discs in my lower back that makings it so I can't do my own Car work otherwise I wouldn't be there. Of the 6 bays out there, 3 were in use with men to spare standing and talking. This man tried to tell me at 4:40 pm that he would not be able to get a break inspection done before 7 pm. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?! If you bloody well new you couldn't get it done why was I not called to be made aware so that other arrangements could be made?! No! I had to waste my gas to drive all the way over to Firestone because it was recommended to me and then turned away and no one even called and no shits were even given by the employee! So...so far I have let the people who recommended this hole to me know what has happened and since I do side work working on cars I've let the others who ask me who is good in town know NOT to choose this place. I hope it spreads like wild fire how horrible this location and its service was. read more

This FIRESTONE is great. I'm very particular about where I take my truck for any service and these guys never disappoint. They don't push you on anything you don't want to do and they take great care of what you need. I ask them every time I get a rotation to be very careful with my rims and they print my request for the technicians lol that's awesome. I could give them a zero star If I could. We took vehicle this morning and David service advisor/manager promise to have the vehicle ready today for pick before closing time. After serveral calls we made to him, his false promises reassure us that the vehicle would be ready even after closing time. David called us at 6:30PM and said that the vehicle would be ready in 30 minutes. We arrived to the shop at 7:00PM and the service advisor that was there closing the shop said that he couldn't give us the car or the keys because the car was not ready and the keys were locked in the safe. I have gone to this location for several years, and in that time I have bought several sets of tires etc. They seem to be good with tires, but a few years ago they didn't check the power steering fluid, and I burned out the pump. They INSISTED that they had checked it, and there had to be a leak. I took it to another mechanic, and there was no leak, they simply hadn't checked the level. Recently I took it for an oil change and inspection. They said I needed a new cabin and engine air filter, I told them I could do it myself, and they tried to sell me complete new control arms and bushings. I bought the filters online and when I went to change them, the engine air filter screws and cover were completely loose! I went to my other mechanic and he inspected the car and said while the car didn't need the new control arms and bushings for several more months, there WAS a leak around the "V-Tec" valve that was leaking oil down over the engine. Somehow Firestone had completely missed the leak. The only thing I'll take my car to Firestone again for will be for tires, if then. read more

Extremely nice guys! Came in on a Sunday because I was concerned something was wrong with my car. When I went in there was no wait and one of the guys immediately came out and looked at my car for a few minutes and ensured me everything looked fine. He was kind enough to fill my tires up with air since my tire pressure light was on and then I was on my way! Would recommend this place to anybody. Great customer service. read more

I must say that this place has never disappointed me. They're always upfront about what the problem is and have offered me very good advice. We have taken a number of cars there, and my dad has as well. Whenever we have something go wrong--we take it to firestone. It's almost always the best price, and the best service. The technicians are knowledgeable. They also seem genuinely concerned about helping you. I expressed grief about the dealer I bought my car from which had done faulty repairs and they were completely apologetic, though, it was not their fault, and didn't even charge me for the diagnostic on my car. I've also experienced a lot of sexist comments from other technicians at other shops; however, I have never had that problem with firestone. They are always cordial and helpful. A+ read more

I went to this store after seeing a "Black Friday" sale ad, also after having a bad experience at a franchise Firestone store. I was there for my first time ever, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I verified the details of the very impressive sale deal offered, the loopholes, (being there on Friday morning, 3 hour window, etc. etc. I just so happened to be dealing with the General Manager, his first name is Chad. Since taking early retirement a couple of years ago, I have developed a hobby, being a hard to get along with customer. The kind of customer we all used to be. The kind of customer who expected very good value, very good and courteous service, and value as a possible repeat customer.That is exactly what I received when I dealt with Chad at this location. I droned on, talking much and asking too many questions. He was calm and professional. I told him about my bad experience. He was still o.k. He was very knowledgeable about the tires he sells, he is very patient, and he is the kind of man you hope to find in a management position. I showed up on Friday morning as planned and bought 4 very good quality Bridgestone Ecopia tires for my Cadillac for $450. including all those things they add in at the end, and including tax. I opted to buy the somewhat confusing road hazard for an additional $17.50 per tire. I don't believe it is even close to the free replacement warranty available from Discount and Big O tire. When I picked up my car, Chad was not there. I dealt with 2 employees whose names I will leave out. my agreed price was $520. even. The invoice read $520.43. The first employee decided to stick to his guns and demand the .43. I refused. He called in the second employee, who was delayed in responding. People piling up in line, the first decided to charge the card 520 even. When the second employee arrived, he began a new round of negotiations and demands as soon as he discovered the .43 was not collected. I strongly recommend this location, but try for Chad. He might even let you slide for the .43. My other advice is to ALWAYS make sure you deal with Firestone Complete Auto Care. If the sign says Firestone, without the "Complete Auto Care", you are dealing with a franchise store. Yes, they do exist. They do not honor corporate pricing or policies and your warranty will not be honored at Firestone Corporate stores. This is a very big deal. There are hundreds of Firestone corporate stores, and my understanding is that their warranty is good at all. In the case of a franchise store, your warranty is only good at the stores owned by that franchisee, usually one or two locations. I have returned to the location three times to pester Chad with self imposed minor mechanical problems, and once to ask advice on a good price on tires for my friends in Glendale. They were going to Firestone on Bell Road. He was patient and proficient and professional each time. If you need tires or repairs, go see Chad and tell him Pastor Steve sent you. read more

Shop stripped out my oil pan plug and told me, "Well we can put in an oversized plug but it's a temporary fix. Next time you get the oil changed we have to install a new oil pan." Was quoted $400 for the new oil pan. After this happened did some research. The only time an oil plug is stripped is operator error and an over sized plug is a permanent fix. I have been going to Sun Devil Auto ever since and have never had a problem with my temporary fixed oversized oil plug. read more

We are so glad we came here. We went to another place near by first and they estimated work $500 higher. They also lied to us about the battery needing replace. We came to Firestone and they printed the diagnostic and gave us a reasonable estimate. Their customer service was great. If you have interlock they know how to call and get an override like they are supposed to! Car is working great and back on the road within a few hours. Best service I have had in a LONG time, went in thinking I needed an alignment for my Prius because the wheel is off centered, did the alignment but still had the issue, came back next day and they looked into it some more but couldn't find the source of the issue, they gave me a refund without me even asking about it (since the steering couldn't be fixed and that's why I was there). Even though he was too busy between the phone and my questions, he took the time to answer my question in detail. Cost? A huge thank you to Brian at Firestone! Yesterday evening I came into the shop ten minutes before closing. They put my spare tire on for me and had me setup to get a new tire in the morning. On my way home from work low tire pressure light came on. As luck would have it I planned to go to the safeway on alma and guadalupe. Noticed Firestone near by and had hoped tp borrow a tire guage and air pump. Was immediately greeted by a super friendly guy who said he'd be right with me. He was in the middle of checking out another couple and they seemed very happy with whatever work they had done. He then told me to pull around back, determined what my air pressure would be, and filled all four tires right away. When I asked if this might be climate related he then gave me a brief education on what caused the issue. He did this all free of charge despite how many other cars were there..I will be back and highly recommend these guys. read more

Jesse Lavender has restored my faith in people and business!!! He went WAY above and beyond to help me when my sons van (that I borrowed)overheated! I was just wanting to purchase some oil and coolant but they don't sell retail products! Jesse could have told me sorry and I would have had to get towed home...Instead, he stopped what he was doing...came out to my vehicle and he checked everything out and ended up adding some oil and coolant and got me back on the road in about 15 minutes!!! I honestly can say that I was absolutely speechless!!! Jesse was professional, competent, friendly and absolutely the kindest person I have had the pleasure of meeting in a very long time!!! I used this business and dealt with Chad ( A really Nice guy ) for issues with flat tires and they really helped me out a lot and took care of 3 tires at different times for my daughters and myself. I decided that this kind act warranted some business. I purchased a set and a half of tires from them and had them repair an A/C by installing a new AC switch ( even though they were a bit overpriced ) . However when the A/C stopped working I took it in and they told me it was the compressor seals. I told Chad I had a lifetime warranty on the compressor elsewhere and asked him to put the car back together and charge me for the service. He said there would be No Charge. My daughter pickup the vehicle and drove 300 yard to her home, When I inspected the vehicle the next day the suction line on the compressor looked like it had been sheared off. I went to Firestone to see what happened and talk to Chad. He was not in and it's been over a week and I still haven't heard from anyone. I guess I'll just pay the rest of my Firestone card off and throw it away. read more

DON'T BOTHER. The service desk guy, Jesse, is probably the MOST disappointing about the location. But plan to wait forever for your car. I left my car for a tire repair--they said they would get to it in an hour. Over 3 hours later they called to tell me it couldn't be repaired but they would gladly sell me a $120 tire (cheapest option). What a joke! I dropped my car at 1pm on Sunday (plenty of time to search other repair shops) but they waited to call until AFTER 4pm (so no time to shop other repair shops) to SELL me a tire. This is bait-and-switch. If they couldn't have repaired it, they should have called in an hour and left me with other options. I did NOT buy their tire. I will NOT shop there again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU GO HERE. There are plenty of other options available and tire/repair shops are too much in competition to get stuck with this place. Shop elsewhere--this place is not worth the time & BS they make you go through. read more
