1 star I am posting an additional review because Firestone management has still not provided any meaningful follow-up or resolution regarding my formal complaint, Case #2977465. I filed the complaint on June 12, 2026, and followed up repeatedly. An area manager eventually emailed me, and I provided a detailed written timeline explaining what happened, why I had lost confidence in the Galloway Avenue location, and why I was requesting a refund. Since sending that response, I have not received a substantive decision, status update, or further communication addressing my concerns. My primary complaint is now the administrative handling of the matter. Customers should not have to repeatedly pursue a large company for basic communication after reporting a serious service problem. Even when a company disagrees with a refund request, management should acknowledge the documentation, explain its decision, and provide a clear resolution. The continued lack of follow-up gives the impression that Firestone's complaint process is designed to delay rather than resolve legitimate customer concerns. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Galloway location, and I have serious concerns about Firestone's regional management and customer-service accountability. read more

Firestone kept my car for over a year without fixing it. While on their lot, my vehicle sustained physical damage. The new manager, Larry, was rude and refused to take responsibility. Corporate support is just as bad. I have spent two months trying to get a return call or email about this damage, and no one responds. As a loyal customer for over 50 years, this treatment is unacceptable. I want to believe this bad service goes against Harvey S. Firestone's business principles. Below are the details: * In May 2025, my car was brought to the Firestone located at 2221 N. Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, Texas for repairs. I paid for the repairs with my Firestone credit card. Shortly after picking it, it broke down 10 blocks away and was towed back to your facility using the Firestone courtesy tow service. Despite repeated follow-ups over the following months, the vehicle was never fixed and remained at the Firestone facility. During this time, while my dad was in and out of the hospital, in November 2025, I attempted to work with the manager to get a vehicle inspection as the registration was set to expire that month. Months passed without resolution. In December 2025, I drove by the shop on the way to the hospital and discovered the car door were left wide open. As a result, the interior suffered water damage, and items in the glove compartment were rummaged through. Now the glove compartment door does not close. When I brought this to their attention, nothing was done to investigate the breach or address the damage while the car continued to sit at Firestone's parking lot. As a direct result of this, my vehicle's registration has now expired, the battery is gone, the care sustained bumper scratches, the registration expired. The interior sustained damage due to negligence of leaving the car door open while left in Firestone's care. * On Sunday, May 31, 2026, we spoke with Adrian employee at Firestone regarding the multiple issues and damages sustained while the vehicle was in your care. * The conversation included: o Water damage o Damaged to glove compartment door (no longer closes); scratches on bumper o A dead battery (caused by the car door being left open by Firestone's staff) o An unresolved vehicle registration issue o The car not being fixed * During that conversation, Adrian acknowledged the situation and assured us that he would work on resolving it and file a claim to cover the damages. . * In June 5, 2026, I was shocked when I called to follow up on the issue, the new manager, Larry threated to tow my car away if I did not remove it immediately. He told me to drive up to Firestone so that we could discuss it in person. When we arrived while waiting to be acknowledged the manager, Larry, came into the checkout station from smoking a cigarette in the garage. He proceeded speaking to his employees in in loud tone. He was standing directly in front of us, the waiting customers, while airing these grievances, completely ignoring us until he was finished. Furthermore, I observed him repeatedly interrupting another employee who was actively on the phone working with another Firestone store. Again, we are just standing there waiting. This behavior was entirely unacceptable. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with basic respect and acknowledged upon entering. Instead, we were subjected to a highly uncomfortable environment. * Once he (Larry) acknowledged us, I attempted to speak and explain the situation with Larry the new manager because he said there was no record of a ticket or the reason the vehicle was at their shop. I provided dates, receipts, text message records confirming our previous communication with the prior manager, Larry was incredibly hostile and unprofessional. He refused to take accountability for the car not being fixed nor the damage caused to my car, he informed me that the prior manager was fired due to conducting shady dealings. Then he proceeded to insult me with his unprofessional conduct and unfounded accusation made against me by stating that I must be having "shady dealings" with the prior management simply because I had that prior manager's phone number saved. However, I later observed that Larry actually had the prior manager's phone number on his own speed dial and utilized it to call and inquire about the whereabouts of my car keys as they could not be located. * I tried to explain our conversation with Adrian, but I'm still shocked by the subsequent actions of Larry. He completely disregarded what we had discussed with Adrian. Furthermore, because of Larry's uncooperative and threating behavior, I was forced to pay out of pocket to have the car towed. This tow could easily have been covered using Firestone's complimentary tow service. * After not getting anywhere with Larry, we walked out of the store that was Friday, June 5th around 6:00 pm, I went to my car and waited outside the Fireston read more

We bought new tires in October and a lifetime alignment from Firestone Complete Auto Care, only to have alignment issues arise shortly after. We reported the problem on December 5, 2025 and have followed up repeatedly for over a month. Despite countless calls, upper management and corporate never reached out directly. The only response was that corporate looked at the case on a weekend and offered just a refund for the lifetime alignment. That does not fix the fact that the alignment issue went unresolved for weeks and destroyed our tires. Firestone is not taking responsibility for the damage caused or the delay. We expect compensation for the tire replacement, correction of the alignment, and the prolonged delay that may have caused further vehicle damage. read more

I recommend using Firestone only in an emergency, as their staff tends to focus heavily on upselling. I visited on a Sunday for a simple tire patch and was told the repair was not possible because the nail was in the sidewall. Upon inspection, the nail was clearly within the tread. I declined additional services, had air added to the tire, and will be taking the vehicle to Discount Tire, where the repair will be completed free of charge. read more

I've been coming to this location for years. they are extremely professional and set the bar. Specifically Mr. Silas, Mr. Brendan and cant forget my technician Jacob. Jacob also has amazing experience and doesn't recommending anything unless you absolutely need it. Jacob not only does his job but prides himself on the safety of the owner. I dropped off my GMC Monday and got it Tuesday and let me tell you.... she rides as if she's Brand New! Please don't go here. The people who work here a bunch of lazy asses. They look at you like you are bothering them, like you are making them do their job, especially the tall black guy at the counter. I saw him turn away 2 people ahead of me without even trying to get their business. To no surprise he did the same with me. I don't know how this place is still in business. I went to a different firestone in Plano and was right away treated with alot of curiosity and respect. Went to this location by Recommendations to have Four tires, oil change and State inspection. First off; the Oil Change, and 4 Tires we're not done by a ASE certified personal. a). He did not torqued the wheel lugs properly, he impact them with his gun, (200-250 psi). Supposed to be torqued no more than 110 ft-lbs. b). Oil reading going into the shop was inaccurate. He says it was 1/6 full which is not true. I always check my engine oil and it was full, dirty, that for an oil change request, Plus the oil change ended costing me $118.00, saying it due to the full synthetic oil, outrageous cost. NOT RECOMMENDING this store P.S. Went there week prior for an air check tires. Was told to go to the Office and fill out a work order so we can charge you. ............ Scheduled appointment days before for vehicle oil change and tune up with plugs. Drop vehicle off before appointment was told would be done today. So we go about our day 6:30 I go by cause we haven't even heard from them. They tell me they didn't get to our vehicle today we got all your parts but didn't have time. This location needs to be dropped from Firestone as it's always something with them. They didn't even have a good enough reason why it wasn't done. Store has poor management if they don't know how to run a schedule. I will be reaching out to corporate office tomorrow as Firestone handles our fleet of vehicles for maintenance. Since leaving my review on 05/17/2019, this location has made strong effort to restore my trust . After making my complaint, the store manager apologized and admitted the error. Once he spoke with the area manager, a resolution was offered, which I accepted. Although this was a stressful situation, I have to give them credit for owning up to their part. I, too, have been able to see my errors as well. As for the main gentleman I worked with initially, we've spoken again, and I believe there was some remorse. Although my new vehicle is on a service plan through the dealership, I won't rule out returning when it's all said and done. Time has the ability to heal all. No regard or consideration for their customers time. I made an online appointment for a simple front-end alignment, showed up for the appointment and was told it was not in the system and that it would be 3 hours. Declined to wait and made an appointment the following day. Showed up for that appointment and was told it would be 2 hours. Was originally supposed to wait in store, but arranged for someone to pick me up. 2 and half hours later I called the store to get a status update and was told it would not be ready until the next day and that they have not even looked at my car yet. Told them that i would need to pickup the car because it is my only means of transportation and I was not expecting it to be an overnight repair. Arrived to pickup my vehicle and was meet with very rude and dismissive staff that claimed they would need to locate my keys. After about 5 mins they appeared with the keys slide them across the counter and walked away. I did not expect them to beg for forgiveness, but a simple apology for this inconvenience even a my bad would have sufficed. I do not recommend anyone visit this location. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! They charged me close to $1,500 for work after an accident over Thanksgiving break. I went there because it was a holiday, everyone else was closed, and the car was making noises after the accident (my dad jumped a median with my car). They looked at the car, said they could fix it, the problems were related to my struts and motor mount and I would be good to go. They also suggested I replace the air filter and a oil gasket cover, and I figured I might as well get it done since I was already there. Got my car back, issues persisted, went to Firestone back in Albuquerque. Upon lifting it to inspect it, both the manager and the regional manager stated that the body damage was so extensive from the accident that they would have advised me to file a claim because those issues needed to be addressed to fix the problem. Called Geico, filed a claim and turns out the car damage is so extensive they're totaling it out. This location refuses to refund me anything past the struts and motor mount even though I NO LONGER HAVE A CAR JUST TWO WEEKS LATER because they claim the air filter replacement and the oil gasket cover were additional work not related to my reason for going. News flash: NONE OF THE WORK THEY DID WAS RELATED TO THE ISSUE WHICH WAS ALL BODY DAMAGE. And as a consumer, had I been advised of the body damage, I never would have agreed to the extra work because it just wouldn't make sense to put more money into a vehicle until after a body shop assessed the damages. Last note: my GEICO adjustor was shocked that the car made it from Texas to New Mexico with the amount of damage it had sustained. He stated that it was negligent for them to have even let me believe that the issues were repaired since the amount of damage made the car dangerous to drive. read more

Went to this location this morning to get my jeep serviced. Got an oil change and wanted to get the alignment checked because it was pulling to the right. I won the free lifetime alignment the last time i went there. Im having to argue with these folks even calling the store that i went to the last time and they even confirmed but still insisted i was gonna have to pay for the alignment. Then after i got my jeep back the oil light was still on i had to ask them to reset it and then they put the sticker on my window but don't fill it out so i dont know the mileage it needs to be serviced again. Whats the point of even putting it on there. I just dont get it. I will never be back at this location. Cant believe the unprofessional behavior at this location. read more

I was traveling out of town when a low tire light came on just as I was driving into mesquite. I was so relieved to find a Firestone close since the Discount Tire didn't open until 8:00. I pulled into their lot and waited 15 minutes for the Firestone to open, was waiting by the door when it opened at 7:00. I explained I was traveling, etc and the guy shrugged and told me he couldn't even look at my tire until he finished with all the other cars left from yesterday, but I was welcome to wait. So I waited, finally went over to Discount Tire at 8 and they had me on the road after pulling a screw out of my tire and repairing it in 15 minutes. read more

We came into firestone yesterday due to a nail in 2 of my tires. We called ahead to see what the wait would be as we were from out of town and had a long drive ahead of us to get back home. We were promptly told the wait for our issue would be 45 minutes. We brought our car in and handed the keys over to the man working the desk. Told him our situation and that we had an 8 hour drive ahead of us and he told us how he was familiar with the drive because he was from around that area ect. Honestly, the service until this point was great but then it all went south. We sat and waited for 2.5 hours watching our car on the lift being untouched for who knows how long. But the wait quickly turned to the least of our worries. We begun hearing the man at the front desk talk about how he was going to buy the whole staff lunch and he seemed quite proud of it. Didn't think anything of it at the time... it was time to pay and both my fiancé and I realized we had accidentally left our credit card in the center console in our car tucked away. When we got back in our car we immediately realized that the credit card was missing but needed to get on the road due to our extended wait and 8 hour drive ahead of us. We figured we had misplaced it. WELL. We never found the credit card but we did find several charges to it the next morning. One of which being the lunch the man at the front desk was bragging that he had just bought all his employees and second of which being a $400+ charge to Apple so apparently he decided to buy himself an iPad while he was at it. Super unhappy with how this all went down. Like really dude. Not cool. Something just flat out wrong about having someone look you dead in the eyes telling you about the lunch they bought their employees knowing good and well it was with your credit card. I've been coming to this location for 15 years, but I will never go back. They rebuilt the front of my car and my car won't stay alligned and is eating through tires. I brought it back with 2 front tires showing belts after only 2 months and was accused of not taking care of it and not rotating the tires. Really? After 2 months? There has been a recent change in management/employees and the new guys are more interested in arguing with the customer and telling them they are wrong instead of honoring a warranty. read more

Had never been here before, took my SUV to checked out for a pre buy. After they took diagnostic on the vehicle my locks were not working neither automatic or manually, the only way I could access it is with my physical key, also one of my rear doors was jammed and I had no prior issues with it before being turned in to them. Don't know if the crew there knows what they are doing because they sounded confused , very unprofessional. I even left my vehicle for the weekend for this to be resolved and they did little to nothing and coincidentally blamed it for being "faulty actuator". I normally go to Discount Tire because that's where I always get my tires from, however they were closed and so I came to Firestone. I would recommend this place to anyone! I don't know anything about tires, but the man behind the counter, Nolan, took me out to my car and showed me exactly what was wrong with them. The fact that they took time to show me and explain to me what needed to be done, was amazing. They gave me the best price on tires and took care of me. Truly phenomenal, and if I'm ever back in this area, I'll stop by again. read more

I went to the Firestone on Galloway in Mesquite to get 4 tires a full vehicle inspection and find out why my tpms light would not go out, I had an 11 o'clock appointment they finally got to my car at about 1:50. It took about an hour to get the tires put on and the vehicle inspection done. I paid and left. the tpms light stayed on and I called about an hour later the person I spoke to just said I needed to drive it more. I brought my car back after 3 and a half weeks because the light was still on. I left my car and they called the next day and said one wheel didn't have tpms sensor in it. The man said he recommended I replace them all. The quote was 5 hundred and something. I asked how much to just replace the one that was missing he said 214.00. I told him I would just pick it up. When I got there there was no charge but he gave me a written estimate for all 4 sensors and it was over 800.00 dollars. I took my car across the street to Discount tire and had them replace the one sensor and check the others. When I picked it up The total was 64.95. They also asked if i was charged for TPMS service packs, because they hadn't been replaced. I looked at my invoice from Firestone and I was charged for 4 service packs and labor for 4. Which is strange since there was only 3 sensors. I had an appointment for my other car for tires and alignment check for the next day. I went in the store and told them I was canceling because of being charged for things they didn't do. The only reply was sorry no offer to refund for the work they didn't do. I will not be going back to this location, and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

They probably don't even deserve a star. I rushed after work to make it to get an oil change I get there about 5:30pm, guy tells me you'll have to come back tomorrow. Wth? I saw the reviews and thought ok you can't always judge by what you read...but not I will judge the service I got. Not good. Didn't even apologize..,guess they don't care about theses reviews nor providing good customer service and it's not just this location because I went to the one nearby told me the same. These guys have worked on both my vehicles as far as tires and front end repair. Very polite and friendly. Professional and no BS about front end needs something. I have also had an issue with pot holes and my low profile tires on my BMW it doesn't like the pot holes to much. They get my car ready and are very fair with prorating the wear on my road hazard warranty. I will keep using them. read more
