I used to go to Firestone in Dublin, and then moved back to New Albany. I was a bit concerned after I read some of these reviews, and it started out a little crazy, they had a difficult time getting a rim for my car. However they were diligent and determined! It took longer than I expected but it was not their fault. They gave me updates and even a discount for my waiting, I was surprised by that gesture and really appreciated it. Everyone was courteous and very nice to work with. The shop was especially clean. I wish more people would write positive comments....but I know usually when you're happy you're say thank you in person and smile as you drive away! Dropped my truck off at noon for a tire repair(screw in tread). Checked in at 6 pm before they close and they told me it'd be ready in 45 minutes. They closed before finishing my repair, kept my vehicle overnight, and didn't bother to call me the next day to tell me the repair was completed. They seem to be understaffed so you can blame management on that. But for the guys working there, they were screaming and cussing in the garage the entire time I was waiting for my vehicle. Do not come here. I took my car here just to get the check engine light looked at. My sister came to this exact location a couple weeks prior for the exact same thing and they didn't charge her anything for it. But they decided to charge me $130. Apparently they pick and chose who gets a free appointment for a check engine light. Just ridiculous. $130 for them to do absolutely nothing. I saw the negative reviews and was on edge about coming to this location. I called ahead to tell them what I think is happening with my car. The person on the phone was able to give me a cost estimation, but advised me to do the $9.99 car check first before making any decisions. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and he even let me know to drop off my car and come back. He could also tell that I was not too happy with the estimation and offered the 20% off discount for me when I asked. I went there for an 8am appointment. The store is very clean and I was greeted right away. I quickly dropped off my car and left. Within an hour I got a call and update about my car. They told me some things that I didn't feel like I needed to do just yet and he was not upset that I told him no. He was very honest about what didn't actually needed to be done. He also pointed out that my brakes shake which I was fully aware of but forgot to mention. He told me what was happening with it and I got it fixed. They finished in about an hour or so and called me. Easy appointment scheduling, quick service, and kind employees. I will be back! read more

I booked at appointment to take my vehicle in at 8am for new brake pads. I live alone and a mile away so to avoid paying an Uber I walked back home in the freezing cold and trekked back there again just before they closed at 7pm to pick up my vehicle. Turns out they had not even looked at it. It was just parked where I left it. I'm not trying to blame the people who work there, but I don't understand the point of being able to reserve a time slot online if a relatively quick and routine maintenance item can't be completed within 11 hours of the slot I booked. read more

I got all 4 tires replaced and an oil change, they let me know what was going on the whole time, told me how long it'd be, and the whole time everyone was very professional. I go back and forth with this place. Sometimes I have good experiences and sometimes I do not. This last one kind of decided it for me. I had my brakes looked at on three different occasions. The last time they had my car for 5 days and weren't able to fix an issue that I've had it in the shop for twice. And communication between the techs seems to be a big problem. My daughter contacted me stating her brake pads were making a noise. I told her to take to Firestone since I was currently out of state. They quoted her $1900. I spoke to Kevin. He said it was more than pads. It was calipers as well. I told him I had my wife's car in a week ago and break pads and rotors cost $895. So when I asked Kevin why "calipers" cost an extra $1000, he didn't have an answer. Unethical! Take your car there and get a quote. Mark my words. They will come back with a list of issues that need done. And are over priced. And then tell you it's dangerous if you don't get them fixed. Unethical! Never again. I am from Los Angeles and this big storm recently in Ohio enlightened me to the joys of driving in the snow... the sliding sensation, the braking that doesn't quite brake when you think it should... the not being able to see a few feet in front of you... I couldn't accept that this was OKAY, so I took the car to Firestone to have them check it out. They did a check up and didn't find anything wrong with the car. They gave me some recommendations for outfitting the car for snow, but they didn't push it on me. I was very clear that I thought something was wrong with the car, so they could have sold me snow tires and all sorts of stuff. They didn't. They were very honest about the fact that the car was behaving normally for the snow. I did get the brakes tightened up and worked on, just to be sure, but over all they were really great about not over selling me while still addressing my concerns. read more

Do Not Go Here. Plain and Simple. Brought my truck in on a Sunday at 10am with a flat tire and a fresh tire in the trunk. They said "No problem we can get it replaced by the end of the day". 5:30pm comes around after they're already closed and they call me and say "You don't need this back right away do you? We broke one of your lug nuts and we don't have the part in stock so this won't be fixed until tomorrow". Ended up having to call off work cause I had no vehicle. Very helpful with both (older) cars in our household. Oil changes are a bit pricer than the discount places, but they do a complete overview of your car each time so you know what other things might need fixing - that is a definite benefit for me. I would have given them a five star review, but it seems that the communication has been a little weak and the time it takes to complete your service is longer than expected (or communicated.) Big recommendation to their alignment service - I paid $99 for a year's worth of front end alignments. So every oil change they check and realign for free! And since I travel around the state I can stop into any Firestone and get an alignment check and adjustment while I'm on the road. Great service!!! read more

Had a pipe fly into my air-conditioner and serpentine belt destroying everything attached on its way somehow got my car to fire stone these guys fixed it cheaper than anybody else would've did it right and #Warranty did I would recommend fire stone to anyone love to the service that I got so much that I had my brake calipers pads and rotors replaced as well those are now also under a warranty read more

Needed an oil change and an inspection on my overall car. I scheduled an appointment and dropped my car off. I walked in and nobody was there to greet me. I stood around for about 5 minutes. Finally, someone came out. He went to the computer and never said a word to me. After working on it for a couple minutes, I asked if this is where I drop my keys off. He said yep. I left them there. Next day, I called and asked if my car had been worked on. He said they haven't started. I understood because of short-staffing and also...what auto body shop is quick? That night, I get a call, recommending all sorts of work. Totaled $2,900. I asked if any of it was needed or just recommended. He said, "Some of it is just recommended." Never specified what. I said just do an oil change and I'll take it somewhere else. Oil change was done that night. I went to pick it up. Again, nobody in the lobby and the lights were off. I stood around for a couple minutes. I said "Hello?" Then someone came out. He said my oil change was going to be $95+. An oil change! I immediately asked about the coupons on the website and he immediately changed it to $80, without even saying a word or making a face. "It'll be $XX.XX." "What about the coupons on the website?" "It'll be $80." I paid, got my keys, and left. I will never be back to this place. Later, I took my car to my godfather all the way back in my hometown. He inspected my car. $1k. I gave this place 1 star because they at least did the oil change and gave me a good laugh at how ridiculous their prices are. Didn't give me a sticker on the windshield but at least they did it. I made an appointment online for an oil change two days ahead . I received confirmation of my appointment . Arriving about 15 minutes early I waited for someone to greet me and start the service. I waited more than 20 minutes and finally left. Know-one ever even talked with me. What good is making an appointment when know one even cares that your there. I won't be trying that again . The location is convenient, they generally don't make it sound like the world is coming to an end in applying sales pressure if you need a repair, and you can't beat their hours. I wouldn't even give this place one star but it won't let you give it a zero!! DO NOT go here especially if you are a woman!! I went there in August 2019 for an oil change. My car was running horribly after I picked it up. Took it back to have it first misdiagnosed for an alternator ( $900) then again had to have it towed back the next day!! I had asked if the mechanic had test driven it prior to telling me it was ok, and he was so rude that I even asked. It was evident there was no way he test drove the car!! Then the they told me it was the catalytic converter! That repair was $2,500. My car still NEVER ran right after that but I refused to take it back. Last week it quit running again with the SAME problem I had last summer. New garage told me it was the catalytic converter. Of course when I called Firestone it was out of warranty. The new garage worked with me and come to find out when they looked further it was discovered that the catalytic converter on the car was the original part. There was no weld marks indicating it had ever been taken off. The wear was consistent with the rest of the exhaust system and the converter had all original Hyundai markings. It was NEVER replaced! Firestone probably just fixed what they had messed up from my oil change. I am now preparing to sue this for this fiasco. What a scam!!! DO NOT go here!! If you do... beware!!!! read more

My wife drives a Jeep Wrangler and tires can be more expensive for a Jeep Wrangler. We needed 2 tires and she asked them to give us the same tires we got last time. We paid a little over $400 last time after install and all the extras. They sold her a bill of goods that they did not have that tire and upsold her to a tire that when she walked out of there, she paid $641 for 2 tires. This is very dissapointing, they were clearly taking advantage of her since she did not have a knowledge of tires. She also asked them to put the tires on the rear, and they put them on the front. I've been bringing my car and my wife's car to this Firestone for years now and the techs always take time to figure out what is wrong and fix it appropriately. The techs take time to describe to me what is wrong and why it needs to be fixed of can wait. I have experienced honesty was well. I used to go to another repair shop and after then gave me a list of things that needed to be fixed urgently I brought it over to Firestone for a second opinion and after going through the list the informed me none of the things this other repair shop recommended actually needed fixed. read more

On the advice of my boss, I took my car here because of a funny noise it was making. I also needed new tires. After explaining my issues, the desk guy helped me find tires within my budget and promised to have Todd (my friend's recommended mechanic) look at the noise. The work was completed very quickly and professionally, and the awful noise was just my serpentine belt which was an inexpensive fix. They didn't try to tack on extra charges or talk me into things I don't need. Todd is an excellent mechanic and did a great job on my car. I will definitely go back to this Firestone next time I need car repairs. read more

I have been a customer here for almost 7 years. Usually good service. This is the first time I have ever come in on a weekend. DON'T DO IT! I have been here two hours. The staff is busy eating, talking and looking at cars that just came in while my car has been sitting in the air for almost an hour with a simple oil change and tire rotation still not complete. And I had an appointment. Arrived at 915. It's now 11:15. Currently there are three staff members talking and eating out on the service floor and the guy who's supposed to be working on my car is texting. This is not how it goes on the weekdays but I'll never grace the doorstep on a weekend again. And apparently since I asked about when It would be done I get no information about what they found, recommendations- nada. read more

Do not come here! This place is such a scam. I brought my 2006 Jeep Commander into this store so many times (it had a problem with overheating because it had sat unused for three years) that I replaced each piece of the heating and cooling system (each on a different trip). Eventually, after bringing it back about 15 times they told me that the engine block was cracked and that I would need a new car or pay $3,000 to get a new engine. We thought about it for a while and decided to get a second opinion from Dandini's in Westerville, OH. They told me that the engine block was not cracked. The problem was simply that a hose in the system had a hole and that the cape to the radiator was not put on correctly. This was infuriating because the first time we took the car to Firestone the entire cooling system was flushed (I was told that if they had done this correctly then the problem would have been discovered easily). They ignored the problem so that I would have to keep coming back in. Plus one of the problems was their fault (the Radiator cap). Their rush and lack of regard for the vehicles they work on caused my car even more damage. They lie and cheat to make you keep coming back. My engine block was never cracked. All they wanted was for me to pay them thousands of dollars to replace the entire engine. I do not recommend that you come here and if you have then I would recommend going somewhere else to make sure they did not mess up your car. read more

I realized I had a nail in my tire at 4:30pm on a Saturday. I drove up, had it inspected, the tech actually showed me exactly where the nail was on the inside edge where it couldn't be patched, and Josh, the Manager walked me through all of my options and answered all of my questions regarding putting the same brand, but a different tread pattern replacement tire on my Subaru as OEM was not available. I was out the door with a new tire installed by 5:45. No high pressure sales tactics, just really good honest customer service. read more

We have been taking our vehicles here for a couple years. Recently the performed a service that damaged my vehicle. When I took it to the dealership this is when I discovered by performing the service to quickly or incorrectly that is what caused the damage. When I addressed this with Firestone they turned me over to their claims department. They strung me along for weeks while the vehicle was not able to be used. Finally when I told them I was speaking legal advice the stated via email they were declining to rectify the situation. Despite the dealerships letter stating firestone was at fault. I would never recommend going here because IF you are unlucky and they do a routine service incorrectly you they will refuse to rectify it and will string you along for weeks prior to telling you. Our attorney advised us that they are known for doing this out of hopes that the people will give up and go away. The BBB will be contacted in the am to help protect the rest of you out there. Your average chain mechanic. If they suggest things other than what you wanted, make sure you get a 2nd opinion. They suggested I needed new rotors and I got another opinion and the local mechanic said all I need is to resurface them. I even asked Firestone if I could resurface and they said no. Dangerous place to have your vehicle serviced. I had a tire repaired on my GMC truck. Over the next 2 days I started to hear a rattle in the front of the truck so I took it to my usual place for service and they found the rim with the repaired tire was held on the hub with only 2 lug nuts. After a simple oil change I found they left their oil filter wrench in my engine, which luckily didn't fall off and cause any damage.
