However, any mechanical repair is extremely expensive. I received an estimate to change the sway away bars, rear suspension/rear shock absorbers and change the tripods for close to $1,500. I found a local small shop mechanic that did it for less than $700. Also, on another vehicle, the horn wasn't working, so Oxford gave me an estimate to fix it for $450. I reviewed YouTube videos and was able to fix it myself, since the problem was simply that the ground cable was not making contact. Bought a 2' copper cable, changed the horn and changed the plug, all for less than $60. Yes, $450 vs $60. Again, I don't think they are bad mechanics, but way too pricey. Won't go back.

When the battery light comes on, it means your vehicle is being powered by the battery only, instead of the alternator. Owner Tu told me to remove the negative battery cable while the car was running. The car died. Easy over the phone diagnosis. I swapped out for a new battery and drove over. Tu got a new alternator delivered and installed the next day. The price was far below my other estimates. I immediately asked him to do rear shocks also, to throw him some extra business. Parts delivered and installed same day. He made this entire process happen in days before thanksgiving. Other shops couldn't see me until December. I've already spoken to Tu about some other minor work I would like to have done. Once again he removes the steering wheel to make a quick diagnosis on the cruise control. I plan to get more done after the holidays. I highly recommend this mechanic for his service, professionalism, and overall great personality.

We have hit deer, backed into poles and been involved in general traffic accidents and each time the repairs are completed on time and within budget. With one repair, Rich warned that the cost could increase once he got the vehicle pulled apart...and that was indeed the case. He walked us through the issues and gave us options. During the pandemic, with car prices increasing a lot, we changed our mind about a car that was totaled by the insurance company and had FFAB fix it. The repairs were a couple thousand dollars less than purchasing a comparable used replacement. Not "good as new" but back in good shape ( for a ten year old vehicle), safe and still running two years later! I wish I had some before and after pics!
