Been going to this place for a few years now and there are some good things about it and also several bad things. The good: The manager Mike is knowledge and works both quickly and efficiently. It's easy to make appointments, they have long hours with late days and are even open on Sundays. They have good prices on tires and a good road hazard plan which is imperative for RI driving. They have a lifetime alignment available which means you can get an alignment with every tire rotation. The bad: small waiting area with uncomfortable seating, no snacks/coffee/water or vending. Sure you can walk over to one of the stores in the rest of the plaza, but it feels like their goal is to not encourage people to stay. They do have a bathroom although I've never seen the inside of it. The ugly: if you have your state inspection done they will find any little thing to make sure you can't get out of there without paying a little extra (windshield wipers, marker bulbs, air filters etc). While not wrong, $60 for wipers or a cabin air filter that costs $20 at auto zone or they fail you and make you come back is rough. Last time in they left a piece of razor blade on the passenger seat and got the door jamb full of grease and dirt (new to me used car that had just been detailed so it was really easy to notice). While it wasn't the end of the world, it was sloppy and would make me leery to have major work done there. read more

Worst customer service EVER encountered anywhere. This was the Manager (Mike). Who tells a customer I don't want to touch your car, gives a refund on a "Lifetime alignment" and basically says go away. Tried calling corporate customer service. They say area manager will get back to you. They never did. Problem is they screwed up my alignment, know they screwed up and probably damaged something and now they want nothing to do with it anymore. They were also upset that I didn't buy $900 worth of new tires they were trying to push on me. Stay far away from this place. They think they've seen the last of me. Wait till they get their copy of a small claims suit soon. I would advise everyone to stay clear of these crooks. read more

Love your product and have been a customer for a very long time. The manager at this location (Mike) is very knowledgeable and fantastic to work with. This location has been great for many years but it appears to be so overwhelmed with the number of guests they're serving they simply cannot deliver on time or properly fix items the first time, causing customers to return so they can correct their mistakes. I think a second location in a neighboring town is something you should take a serious look at as it would help take the number of customers off the plate of this location so they can get things done properly & by the time promised. I dropped my vehicle off 8 hours earlier only to sit in the waiting room 2 hours past the promised pick up time. While there, I witnessed several customers return after just leaving to have an issue corrected (causing more delays) that should have been resolved before they left. I myself had an issue occur after I left with my vehicle only to have the next available appointment to correct their mistake 4 days from now. This location was convenient based on the location but I'm going back to the dealership for future service on my vehicles. read more

Had appointment for 7 am, got there at 6:55, it's mid November, 28 degrees outside and the young gentleman would not open the door to let me in. I stand there a few minutes in disbelief as I watch him sitting at his nice warm desk with me in Clearview outside in the cold. He gestures to me that they're not open yet through the window. I'm 56 years old. I'm not impressed at all. Being human goes a long way in my book. I wonder if he would let his mother stand outside in the cold and wait . Boyfriend went there to put new tires on the car as well as get the alignment and balancing. Price was fair, service took about two hours. When he got home, he noticed a scratch on one of the rims. He looked closer at the other one and it was also scratched up! They damaged two rims on the car. Don't go there, don't waste your time. They are absolutely careless. read more

Without going into all of the details, I just wanted to give you all a heads up to think twice about doing any needed auto service/repairs at Firestone Complete Auto Care in North Smithfield, RI (at least at this current moment in time). I was convinced by the service manager and technition that replacing "this and that" would fix a very specific problem when it was something else all along. What makes this so frustrating is that I had suspected the exact cause of the issue all along and discussed this with the manager who wrote up my work order, from the very beginning. Unfortunately, they choose to lead me down another path, fixing and/or replacing items that were not contributing to the problem and causing me to needlessly spend over a $1,000 above and beyond the actual issue, which, get this, turns out to be exactly the very thing that I suspected. A $150.00 part that this service center had previously replaced in my vehicle a few years ago and was under a lifetime warranty! They swindled me big-time! read more

Just wanted to make an update I still have the vehicle they worked on and the play in the steering wheel could never be fixed. It needs constant maintenance I have pictures from a video taken right after. Clearly the steering wheel is turned over 90 degrees and the front wheels point straight. I had to get my car in for service before an unexpected work trip. Brought in for scheduled oil change foe 12:30 Saturday with pick up Sunday. Being a fleet vehicle they had to get permission to do all the work I needed, including 4 new tires. Being the weekend Fleet wasn't open. Michael did the work anyway when I told him I had to go on a trip Monday. He assured me he would get the authorization he needed and he made sure my car was ready to go for me on Sunday. He could have told me to pound sand until my fleet team gave authorization but he didn't. I really appreciate he got me on the road without interruption to me! read more

Horrible customer service and the online scheduling system is completely broken. I scheduled an appointment online for 3pm and called the next day to confirm, to be told by an employee that my order didn't go through because the time wasn't available, only to schedule me for 3pm over the phone... Manager of the store was aware of online issues too and even said 'that's gonna be a disaster for the customer' while on the phone with the Help Center, and then told me he can't help me. Multiple agents and supervisors acknowledged the issue as well when I called the customer service line, plus they held my money for a week and tried to tell me they couldn't change my tires because the website 'automatically declined my order' even though the store manager AND another supervisor confirmed for me that it was manually declined by the store manager himself. I was also told my refund would take 7-10 days, and then 3 days, and then 3-5 days, only to be told 7 days again in the end. This company has absolutely horrible communication, and can't even give a simple answer when it comes to how long a refund will take to appear on your bank account. I submitted a complaint only to be told by a customer service agent 3 days later that the Area Manager closed out my complaint without even contacting me. This forced me to have my complaint escalated to the Regional Manager who spoke to me one time for about 2 minutes to ask what my issue was about and then never called me back. Absolutely horrible company that is well aware of the issues their online ordering system is causing yet doesn't seem to care whatsoever! Would not recommend to anyone under any circumstances, even in an emergency. I'd give this place 0/5 if I could, customer service is not their priority and it shows. read more

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 9:00am. At 9:35, my vehicle was still in the parking lot with no sign of it moving anytime soon. I found "Mike" and inquired about when my car would be brought in for service and he replied, "you'll have to be patient. Can't you see there are a bunch of people in the waiting room?" This was not an acceptable response in my eyes so I simply asked for my keys. When he grabbed my keys he did it very abruptly and unprofessionally. I have NEVER seen such unprofessional behavior in a customer service environment. I have been a customer at this location for years and maybe "Mike" was having a bad morning but he should know to leave his issues at home and not to take them out on customers. I don't think Mike is the manager as he doesn't seem to have any type of managerial skills but nonetheless he should know how to treat people. And if you asked the others in the waiting room with me, I am sure they would agree as his tone and demeanor towards everyone this morning was rude and condescending. Mike, there are many much more qualified people out there looking for work. Clean up your act before someone else takes your job. You aren't as special as you think. read more

Firestone diagnosed my car as needing a fuel pump and a steering coupler. He (I can't remember the technician's name, but on the quote the service advisor is listed as Jeff) said my fuel pump wasn't holding pressure and quoted me a price for the pump of $700.99 + labor of $253. I needed an inspection sticker (mine had expired) so I told him to fix the steering first; I would have to bring the car back for the fuel pump at another time because it was so expensive. He argued with me for almost 10 minutes, telling me the fuel pump absolutely needed to be done first. I told him I looked up the price and it averaged $350. I understand the need to markup parts but wow...100% markup was too steep for me. He got defensive and told me he had overheard to cover - which I totally understand. But again, 100%+ markup was too much for me! I was unhappy about the the argument and pricing, so I asked that nothing get fixed. I paid the $106.41 diagnostic fee ($99.99 labor/$6 shop supplies/.42 tax) and took my car back. About 10 days later I had a local mechanic take a look at it. He tested the fuel pump and said it was perfectly fine. My problem was a misfire in cylinder #6. In summary, for less than what it would have cost me at Firestone - for a part I didn't need - my car received the following service(s) and is running perfectly: coil pack & spark plug (for the cylinder) steering coupler/shaft assembly oil change all associated labor Nothing against the other folks that work at Firestone, they were extremely nice. A good friend of mine swears by their excellent service. I'm only relaying my experience. I still have the quote from Firestone and the receipt from the mechanic that fixed my car. read more

I bought two new tires. Nice to receive a small discount but you get two stars because "an alignment is not included". How does that make sense? Im not paying over $80 just for that after buying tires. Town fair tire doesnt charge but you do. Too bad theyre closed or i would have used them. I will in the future. I went to Firestone in North Smithfield, RI to get new tires for my 1997 Buick LaSabre and an oil change. Now lets be clear I do have a regular mechanic that I go to for fixes and maintenance but since I was getting new tires and I work at Walmart in the same plaza I could drop my car off and walk to work and after work pick up. What I didn't expect was the news that I received from Brain the technician that put my car on the lift and identified sub-frame rot which he showed to me and explained that it dangerous to continue to drive my car. Though it wasn't the news I wanted to hear I was grateful for the honesty. For as long as I can remember I always heard about shady mechanic practices but I didn't feel that way here. I can't believe what just happened to me. I went to get new tires on both the front driver's and passenger side of the Prius. The guy asks me THREE times to explain it. THEN, he makes me draw it, and still doesn't get it. He thinks the NEW tires are going on the back. He asks me a total of FIVE times...frustrated, I tell the other rep this guy isn't getting it and does he speak English, and the first guy, throws me out of the store for "disrespecting him". My husband just went there to ask them why they would treat someone like that and the two workers said I walked in there swearing and yelling....umm...really? why would someone do that for no reason? they hadn't done anything yet! that makes NO sense to someone with common sense...he is taking his 700 dollar order for truck tires somewhere else. If I could give them (0) STARRS I would brought my car in for A inspection sticker Mike the manager told me it needed tie rod ends both sides they gave me a estimate of $329.41 an charged me $55.00 for the sticker I didn't get. Took it home and had it checked by my mechanic he said that they were fine. I called the RI Emissions Safety in Providence they gave me a appointment I went there and they checked they said the tie rod were fine. They check the emissions said 2 components were not functioning found out it was because i put a new battery in they told me to drive it for a week and it should be fine. Schedule a apt. with Firestone and went there and they flunked it again went back ti RIES and they gave me a waver and a sticker and said everything was fine. I had a nail in my tire that was causing it to lose air fairly quickly. Unfortunately this was on a Sunday which left me very few options to get it fixed. One of these options was Firestone and I was quite impressed. They took me right in without an appointment and were luckily able to patch it. The tech was very friendly and helpful which made the experience easy. I would use them again and they are a short walk from 2 different restaurants so you can grab a drink and an app while you wait! read more

Long story short, my car needed bushings on the inner tie rod ends and bushings on the steering gear bolts that holds it in place. They charged me for the labor of removing and replacing the steering gear according to the recommendation sheet. Mind you in reality they literally only installed the bushings and that's it, but they charged me for much more as if they really replaced the steering gear. I feel scammed in paying for something that wasn't done. I suggest anyone to only go here for simple things not for big repairs. Go to a trusted mechanic or friend for advise. My newly mechanic charges me much much less for the same work needed to be done to my car. I'd rate them a 0 star out of 10. read more

before i get to the bad i will say they were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure i didnt wait too long. unfortunately the bad completely nullifies the good. i had already gotten my truck pre inspected and it was good to pass but firestone failed it. they told me i would need about $2000 worth of work on the front end to get rid of the play. there was some play so i didnt argue that. the problem is most of the stuff they wanted to replace was perfectly fine while completely ignoring the parts that actually needed to be replaced and were the cause of the play in the front end. if i didnt know any better i would have paid them $2000 to fix all of the things they listed and it would not have fixed the play in the front end at all. they would have failed the truck again. intentional or not what they attempted to do to me was a scam and i am 100% certain they would not have reimbursed me for replacing parts that were perfectly fine and that would not have fixed the issue. Parts they said needed to be fixed:idler/pitman arm, upper/lower ball joint one side, control arm on side. Parts that needed to get replaced:outer tie rods both sides and idler. Conclusion: Bring your vehicle somewhere else and at least get a second opinion. i went from about $2000 in repairs that would have been a waste of money to about $300 in repairs that actually solved the issue and got it to pass inspection. read more

I have had my car serviced here twice and had an excellent experience both times. I just had my car inspected today and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I started going to Firestone after my car kept coming back with more issues from Broad Street Garage right down the street from Firestone. I had an issue with inspecting my vehicle due to bald tires and a cracked head light the vehicle did not pass inspection.THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM the problem was that "Mike" who "assisted" was the most ignorant person I have ever dealt with professionally! originally I was worried that it wouldn't pass and I wouldn't have the money to make necessary repairs (as with COVID-19 finances are tight) so I ask the Mike fella " worst case scenario if the tires are bad will i get a 30 day tag to give me time to make repairs" to which Mike replies " if they are bad you get nothing" very arrogantly i should advise. he was not helpful he was not polite he was not sympathetic to the situation. I do not expect anyone to break the law to pass a failing vehicle but i do expect someone to see the situation for what it is UNFORTUNATE and be some what empathetic. May I add this is a 2017 Maxima this is not a rotted falling apart 1988 Corolla i'm trying to pollute the world with. To add insult to injury! after the vehicle was failed another gentleman advised i could keep the car there until we could make arrangements as the car has no plates and i could not drive it until it was inspected....so i leave. I then get a call from our good ol friend Mike about an hour later who tells me the car needs to be removed, i tell him the other guy told me it can stay until i figure something out he says very dry and arrogantly " it needs to be moved by end of day or its getting towed" ...................................might i add i have never seen this man a day in my life prior to this encounter so its not like he had a prior grunge which may be assumed given his clear ignorance toward me.To be honest i chalked this up to him having a terrible day any maybe just a terrible life and horrible personality HOWEVER he strikes again........fast forward to me having to get my car towed from this facility to mechanic who made necessary repairs and I bring the vehicle back to Firestone today as they performed and failed the original inspection. Mike proceeds to tell me the tires will not pass inspection.....i advise him they were just replaced he again says they are bald. I ask " are you saying they will not pass inspection because they are bald" he says "they will not pass for me" i ponder to myself.........for you??? Mike do you make the rules? are you setting the inspection standards for the state of R.I and only moonlighting as a Firestone mechanic? hmmmm so i tell him i will be bringing my car to another facility as a second opinion he says "ok great contest it then" i will do that Mike. I just want you to know one thing, with everything going on in this world YOU ARE THE PROBLEM people like yourself who are so absorbed in there own thoughts you cant see how your actions effect peoples lives. I could give someone terrible news and still have them walk away feeling good and you could have given terrible news without sounding like you enjoyed it! you are terrible with customer service and have no business working with the public. I feel bad for anyone that deals with you on a daily basis as i'm sure your passive aggressive tenancy passes over to all relationships and scenarios in your life.
