I have been a Firestone customer for over 40 years started with Mark Morris tires in San Francisco. Moving to Kansas City 20 years ago, I've dealt with about 6 locations. This has so far been the best experience ever. The manager Joe sold me a new set of Bridgestone Dueler Ascent tires for my Toyota 4Runner. The current tires I had were discontinued. Using the Firestone credit card and with the Bridgestone rebate I saved an additional $170. I waited about an hours for 4 tires and an alignment (lifetime alignment package, best value). I had issues with this location about 3 yrs ago. I figured I would give them another shot since it's close and convenient to my house. All I needed was a simple oil change and tire rotation for my company vehicle. Made an appointment- they told me it would take 1-2 hrs (no problem) - 4 hrs later I'm still sitting here with no vehicle. Made every excuse in the book, which is very poor customer service. I get the vehicle - no sticker stating when the next service should be provided. In addition, they had to mess something up within the electrical system because both my car remotes do not work unless I'm standing right next to the vehicle When I called to inquire, of course it's not their fault and blamed the battery. Both batteries did not go out at the same time on a car that is less than 1 yrs old. Will not be returning and I highly suggest you all seek service elsewhere. read more

I have been taking my car's to Firestone for 10 years. When my husband and I moved to KC and started bringing our vehicles to the Firestone at 135th St. We were blown away at how honest and friendly the staff was at this location. The manager of this location, Nick Gambill, is the most thorough and professional individual we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He always goes out of his way to squeeze us in when we have a last minute car "emergency". Bought a set of run flats for about $800, They mounted and balanced them... One day later the wheel weight fell off, after a set of questions they realized they were at fault so they got me back and after a 2 1/2 hour wait it was fixed. The real problem came about when I wanted to trade the tires for a different set because the ride was so rough. The guy I talked to pretty much insulted me because I was outside the 30 day return policy by 5 days. After I spent a lot of money at the shop to get some work done on my car I thought it was pretty said they couldn't work with me. Now I need to find another mechanic as well. Sad...... read more

Called in advance to set up simple appointment for an oil change the day before. I confirmed it with the guy twice. Get there early after driving in snow and sleet just to not have my appointment scheduled. Unprofessional and just ridiculous , I had to accommodate my schedule for this and they couldn't do that right. Very poor service, I had to pay another shop to balance the tires Firestone would/could not fix in a timely manner. I do not recommend. I was in town for a soccer tournament and noticed on our trip a tire was out of balance. I setup an appointment so Firestone could balance all four tires. When complete, I immediately noticed the tires were worse than when I had stopped in. These are new tires on a new car. I stopped back in Firestone the following day and they said they were too busy to fix their mistake, I needed to schedule a new appointment three days later. They couldn't even look me in the eyes. Completely unacceptable as I was only in town for a couple of days and did not want to drive home on unbalanced tires. Firestone did nothing to resolve the problem and did not give a refund for their poor service. I had to schedule with another shop in town (NTB) who quickly found three of four tires out of balance. I do not recommend this Firestone shop, stop by NTB instead. read more

They told me my air filter needed changing for $80. I took it to Jiffy Lube and when they took the air filter out it wasn't even close to needing to be changed. Totally untrustworthy. read more

Eric, Doug and peter helped me out so much. Not only was the service provided professional and above and beyond, but they also provided me advice in my suspension upgrades and took the time to fully explain the pros and cons of different rims, and made sure I got the right rims for my car and also went the extra step to clean the brand new rims before I picked it up. This is my new home firestone location. Also was texted by one of them on their own personal day off, off the clock, to check to make sure everything was going accordingly with the mounting hardware. We took our car in to see if our breaks were ok since they were squeaking a little. They told us we needed to replace the rear break pads plus rotors and front break pads for over $2000! We took the car for a second opinion at a place we trust. We would have gone there first but it's quite a drive from our new house. They called after looking at car and said they flat out lied to you. Your breaks are fine and nothing needs to be done. They were shocked after looking at them what they told us. I do not trust Firestone one bit. Be careful!!! read more

Had a nail in the tire. They found it plus an additional one in another tire...that's great. Now if it wouldn't have taken them 2 1/2 hours. We went early in the morning so they weren't busy. Ended up missing our daughters softball game. Technicians move at the speed of snails. A lot of standing around going on in the shop. read more

I've been a customer at this shop multiple times. Earlier today, I scheduled a 5:00 appointment online to get a routine oil change on my car. I work in Lenexa so I had to leave work early to make it to the appointment on time. I was told that I would have to wait an hour and a half before they even looked at my car because there was another 5:00 appointment. I was so caught off guard that I didn't really ask any questions. But I was really turned off by the fact that they made it seem like it wasn't a big deal for me to come back at another time after I'd already made an appointment. I don't understand what the point of making an appointment is if they're not going to respect my time. A call would have been nice to let me know that they wouldn't be able to fit me in before I rearranged my entire afternoon around this appointment. I made another appointment for tomorrow afternoon but I have decided I will not go because I'm sure they won't respect my time tomorrow either. Needless to say, I will now be going elsewhere to get my car worked on. read more

Worst car shop ever on this place paid for front and rear shocks and springs and I believe they only replaced the springs and had to go back and they installed Gasajust shocks and said free of charge I already paid to have the work done. No telling what work they didn't do to my car or did do never ever goto this place paid 3k for new suspension and so called break I now believe the shaking in the steering wheel was due to having bald tires and the 700 in break work wasn't needed I wouldn't be surprised if I found out they not even doing the oil changes they tried to hand me a 5,000 estimate on a new charger never go there. read more

I am not a happy camper! I took my car into firestone because I needed new tires. I felt like the way that they word the alignment service makes you think its included, but its not...tires and alighnment $600 and 4 hours. I was sent away with a laundry list of items totaling $1500. Shortly, after I left my check engine light came on, so I took it back in...$350 dollars and 4 hours later I had the car diagnosed, a new filter put in, and the sensor cleaned. After all was said and done they told me they really didn't know if they had fixed it and would just have to see how it drives. A couple days later the light comes back on, so at this point I am frustrated and take it back to the dealership. None of the things that firestone told me had to be done appeared on that list and after further examination my dealership told me the car had never thrown an oxygen sensor code and the filter didn't need to be replaced for another 10,000 miles. Need less to say I have spend alot of money at Firestone in a short amount of time and I feel like I was tricked because they knew I didn't know any better. I'm dissapointed and would urge women to go elsewhere for their automotive repair needs. While the staff was friendly...I believe they didn't have my best interest in mind and wanted to make a quick buck off me. I will not be taking my car there in the future and would urge you to do the same. read more
