What I got instead was one of the most blatantly dishonest service experiences I've had in years. After waiting, I was told the alignment was "done." Except... nothing had changed. The car drove exactly the same, and when I asked for the alignment printout, things suddenly got weird. That's when I was told they "need a special tool" to align a BMW. So let me get this straight you supposedly completed an alignment, but now you're saying you don't have the equipment to actually do it? So no work was done according to the printout? And yet they still charged me. When I called them out on this there was no real explanation just backpedaling and vague excuses. It was obvious they either: * Never did the alignment * Didn't know how * Or were hoping I wouldn't notice Trying to bill someone for work you admit you couldn't perform is not a mistake,it's a hustle. No value in their word or service. If you own a BMW (or frankly any car you care about), take it somewhere else. Once he gave me his attention I showed him my lug nuts then video of battery connection he tells me here is what we will do. I said you will never work on my truck again and this great manager proceeds to say "I didn't work on your truck they did" way to have employees back. Then another customer walks by and he tells them I will be right with you and customer says take care of her and this poor excuse of manager gets a shit eating grin on his face. My bill was $312.00 for the piss poor service I received he refunded me $130.00 making no difference of 5 hrs of waiting for this piss poor service then trip back last night, then broke down for 2 hrs this morning trip back to this piss poor establishment. Anything more technical should not be brought to either store in Pearland. In comparison to each other the firestone in 77581 zip code is more professional and experienced than the store in the 77584 zip code. Both, however, are extremely slow and make appointments meaningless. It takes at least 2 hours for an oil change, so prepare to drop off your car or don't go to Firestone. read more

Quite possibly the worst AutoZone I've ever been to in my life. Dropped my car off the night before because I needed a new ignition coil. The front desk man, Freddie, informed me that they typically like to perform a diagnostic check themselves before repairs. Even though I already had one done. Freddie proceeded to let me know that he would give me the diagnostic check free and just charge me the for the ignition coil replacement. The next morning at 11am I still had not heard back from them. So I had to call them MYSELF and ask what the update was. They still had not performed the diagnostic check. So I had to wait on hold and they finally let me know that I was right and only needed one ignition coil. And they recommended that I get a fuel system cleaning. I denied the fuel system cleaning. 3pm rolls around and I had to call them again to receive an update only to learn they still hadn't started on my car. 5:50pm rolls around and I have to call THEM again and they finally let me know my car was ready. Almost a full 24 hours for something that typically takes 40 minutes. I get there to pick my car up and Freddie, the one I spoke with originally, still charges me for the diagnostic he told me he'd give me for free. And I get into my car and my check engine light + EPC light is still one, plus my car is still shaking. When I confronted them about it, they tried to claim that it's because I declined new spark plugs. Which is false. They never even mentioned spark plugs. As you can see in the picture, the only thing recommended was the fuel system cleaning. Why not mention something that is PIVOTAL to my car being repaired? So now I waited 24 hours for my car to still be messed up AND I have to call out of work tomorrow to wait on them to spend another 3 years doing a 40 minute task. Went to both locations on Broadway in Pearland (77581 and 77584). At the 9530 Broadway St location (77584), I walked into the store and stood there for approx. 15 min and was NOT even acknowledged. I watched the advisor help the couple in front of me and take/handle 3 calls without so much as a "I'll be with you in just a second." I just left. At the 2908 Broadway St. location (77581), the advisor did acknowledge me and suggested I pull around to a bay where a technician would further assist me. The technician noticed I was sitting there, looked at me numerous times but NEVER did come to see how he could assist me. Needless to say, I left that location. They don't have to worry about me ever stepping foot inside one of their establishments again. Left a really bad taste in my mouth as far as customer service goes!!! read more

I came in for a simple oil change and state inspection on my vehicle. I waited for about an hour 1/2 and I was called up to the front to pay. The gentleman that checked me out was on his cell phone with who it sounded like was a friend. I paid and he told me I was "good to go". Didn't say anything else. So assuming everything went right I went ahead to the DPS office to get my sticker when I noticed my inspection had failed for a recall. I also noticed there wasn't an actual emissions test even ran (but I paid for). I went to the nearest dealership and they said the recall was for an airbag and it shouldn't affect a state inspection. So I traveled back across town to ask in person what happened (I'm now talking to another person). He told me he isn't sure what to do, didn't offer advice, and told me he couldn't refund me the inspection because he didn't have the authorization for it. He then just said if I figured it out I can bring it back and they can do it because I already paid. I then went and did my own research and I came to the conclusion my fuse was blown so the next day I replaced the fuse myself. I brought it back here and waited for over 2 1/2 hours for them to tell me the system was down and they "couldn't do it". Didn't say anything else. These guys are slow and don't care. I watched them personally joking around not working on vehicles while people are waiting on their vehicles at the store. The people at the front, at least the 2 I talked to, either don't know much and are just guessing about what you're asking or don't care and just want you out the door so they can go back to joking around with the mechanics. I don't write reviews on here, but after my experience and hearing the other people that were waiting in there with me this is common here and people should avoid these kind of places. When I asked to speak to the store manager to complain of the horrible treatment he kept dismissing my complaint and kept making it about the appointment only policy. When I was around 16-17 I was scammed out of nearly $2500 for repairs from this place, once they had my car and had it taken apart they told me it was dangerous to drive and would come with a hugefeejust for them looking at it, then told me the squealing sound I heard when I was braking meantmy whole brake system had to be replaced. After that and the $1300-1400 repair costs that came with it, they called me up a few days later and told me that because they broke an old bolt in my car, it would be about another week and another $1000, and when I told them that (obviously as a highschool student) I couldn't afford it they tried to convince me to put it on their firestone credit card. Thank god my parents were able to help me out or I might still be in credit card debt for that because I have no clue what the interest rates on that card were but couldn't have been good. I wouldn't trust these people to change my brakelight at this point and write this to warn others; unless you know exactly what's wrong with your car and already know how much repairs should be, never even consider stepping foot in a firestone. I already knew I just needed the temp sensor replaced however I didn't mention to them to see if they would honest. This location has only been open about a year or so, and I have been using them ever since. It is so hard to find an auto repair place that doesn't cause you to be suspicious or wary, especially as a female, but this place puts professionalism as Priority One. Every time I go there, they are so friendly and helpful -- taking the time to explain to me everything that is going on, and showing me as well. They have never pushed me to do work that wasn't needed, and they have even dug in drawers for coupons I could use. They aren't the cheapest around, but they're also not the most expensive -- and their professionalism and level of service make them worth every penny. I brought my car to this location because it is closest to my house before going on vacation. I should have brought it to the Galleria location like I normally do. I called an hour before showing up and apparently one of the techs answered the phone because he took my name and number, told me to be there an hour later, and when I got there, the man behind the counter told me it was going to be another 2 1/2 hours. He said he didn't know who answered the phone and that they don't take same-day appointments. I had so much to do that day and ended up wasting another 1 1/2 hours. They also broke one of my center caps when taking it off to balance my tires. The man who brought it in just set it next to me and was very cavalier about it being broken, saying it was broken before he took it off (then why didn't it fall off sooner?) and that it broke even more when he finally got it off. I didn't believe any of this because I have almost 150k miles on the car and never had a problem with them before. I'll never go back to this location. Arrived at 6:50am, thinking that its always best to beat the crowd...to my surprise the place was PACKED! Because I had a reservation, I waited in the longest line ever, just to be told that they were working on a first come first served basis, because of the crowd. Steer clear from this place! I went there yesterday for an AC diagnostic test that was $9.99. After about 45 minutes the mechanic said that it looked like I was just low on Freon, and my hoses and everything else looked fine. They recommended I just do the AC recharge. I took their advice, and waited about an hour for the "repair" to be done. When he was finished, the guy at the front desk (John I believe) told me that the AC was still blowing hot air, and the AC recharge didn't fix the problem. So basically I paid over $100 for them to not diagnose, or fix the issue with my AC. Then they suggested I replace my compressor, condenser, and evaporator! How do you people sleep at night?!?! Terrible customer service combined with Rude employees. They take an unnecessarily long amount of time to perform the simplist of tasks. I.E. oil change and alignment. They took 5 days to fix my struts, and when I got there to pick up my car they only had two other cars in the shop. I had to rent a car for 5 days. Expensive. The worst part? Had my struts replaced almost two months ago here. It to end out I needed my strut MOUNTS replaced as well, and they said nothing. The fact that they needed replacing completely ruined my new tires in a matter of less than 2 months. So I'm back, buying different expensive parts and four new tires, No warranty. I've frequented this particular location for years. Sometimes not so good experiences but more good than not...enough to keep me coming back. Stopped by a week or so ago and dropped my car off for an oil change. *note: Since the hurricane (Harvey) seems an appointment is mandatory otherwise the wait time is a min. 2hrs...even to get a tire checked.* Well, in the process I inquired about a break service I had on my car there a few weeks prior. (it was preventative as there was no trouble or noise pryor, just something that I would eventually need to have done anyway). I asked if it was normal for my brakes to still be making a whistle sound this far after the job's been performed. I had my brake pads and rotors replaced and knew that it is pretty normal for them to whistle for a short period afterwards but not longer...unless your car calls for a specific type of brake pad. Gentleman informed that because we live in Houston my brakes will ALWAYS whistle and there is nothing that can be done about it. He went on to add that he has a brand NEW truck with only 3,000 miles on it and they too whistle. I wasn't sure what warranted him to tell me such a story. I replied to him that my car was a 2014 I purchased it brand new this was my first time having brake work (proactively) done on it and they never whistled prior. Though cordial, the conversation left a bad taste in my mouth. I will likely continue doing business with Firestone, however, I will no longer do it at this particular location. I WOULD RATE THIS A MINUS 5 STAR IF I HAD THAT OPTION!!!! We took my car in the morning for a brake check. They never told us that they already had scheduled appointments. We never got a call from them so at 4:00 in the afternoon we went back and was told they haven't even checked my car yet. When we got upset the guy just said "You just want your keys back?" I obviously needed to get my brakes fixed so we said to just get it checked. The guy said they would probably get it done by the evening and if not it would be the first car in the morning. We called them at 11:30 the next day because we hadn't gotten a call from them. A guy said it had been done and completed the night before and said we had been given a call that night but there was no answer. NOT!!!!! I took my wife's car in for an inspection and it failed because the license plate lights were out. I was told it would be $29.95 to replace them, which seemed high, but I didn't want to go to an auto parts store, put them in and then have to come back, so I agreed. 20 minutes later they came out with a bag of parts and told me when they tried to change the bulbs the clips just fell apart - on both of the lights. Then was told the parts would have to come from Volvo. Told the guy I would pick them up and bring them back - he told me ok. Got them today ($50), and took them back to have them finish the work and give me the inspection. Told me they only install parts they order and couldn't put those in. I can't return them so I took the parts to my regular mechanic (whom I found the last time Firestone screwed up my car - but that's another story) who told me that the parts were damaged because of the way the bulbs were removed. He put them in and didn't charge me. 5 minute job. I'll go back tomorrow to finish the inspection, since I already paid for it, but I guarantee you this will be my last trip to Firestone for tires, repairs or inspections. If you won't put in my parts, then make sure you tell your employees to communicate that fact clearly to the customer. Basically, they quoted policy and wouldn't budge - good for them - policy is more important than customers. The bad reviews here are not an accident. Beware. read more

Dropped off my car on a Monday afternoon around 1130 and they called at 230 pm the same day and still hadn't started on my vehicle. This is the WORST experience I have ever had! I took my car to them for an oil change state inspection. I had a little bit of condensation in my headlight and they failed my car. My car has always had condensation in the the headlight and it's always passed...now it's a safety violation. Both of the headlights work, the lights are bright. There is nothing wrong with my car, the car is only three years old. Now it fails...please. I knew that I should have gone somewhere else when I was sitting in the waiting area listening to them tell ppl who were coming in for oil changes that all of a sudden they needed hundreds of dollars worth of work. They did this with everyone that walked up to the counter. knew it and I stayed. That was my fault. I'm telling EVERYONE that I meet ever that this place is a rip off. They are cheating ppl out of their money here. When I asked for justification the store manager brings me his phone. After waiting for 10 minutes for him to come from behind his little desk in the work area he googles this "violation" and brings me his phone. Are you serious? I'm taking my car to another location and guess what? It's going to pass. Just like it's passed for the past three years with the same condensation. But lesson learned. Not only am I never going back to this Firestone but I'm never going back to ANY Firestone. This is ridiculous. If condensation was going to fail my car when they drove my car into the garage they knew they were going to fail my car. Hello - I incorrectly posted this at the 77584 location initially. It is the 77581 location. Major problems with this location. I would like to show zero stars. My husband took his Honda into firestone across the street from HEB on broadway to have $400 tires installed. After a couple of hours, Firestone called and said the tires were done and asked if he wanted the brakes looked at and brake lines flushed. He said sure, it was going to be about $30 more as an add on. A few hours later, they called him and said his brakes were not working. They said they were shot and a cylinder and other components needed complete replacement. They said when they finished the brake flush the brakes weren't working, and asked him what he did to them. Keep in mind, he just had the car inspected 3 weeks prior, and drives the car everyday. He just drove the car into the shop in the morning, and hours later he had new tires and a destroyed brake system. He called Firestone corporate, and they were going to send out a specialist to the site a few days later. After that visit, They then told him it was going to cost another $650ish to fix the brakes so it would be drivable. He said fix them because he needed the car. When he went to pick it up, they forced him to sign a receipt that said something else was sure to go wrong with the brakes before they would give him his keys. So, he pulled out and it felt like the emergency brakes were on. After 200 yards the brakes were almost seized and smoking. He almost wrecked the car. This was a definite safety issue. He pulled into Browns Automotive, just down the street. Browns said the brake system was shot, and that no only did the cylinder need replaced again, but a bunch of other components. We checked around, and reputable car guys told us if they put transmission fluid in the brake line when Firestone flushed the line, the brake system would be destroyed instantaneously. Browns ended up fixing the system for another $1600. We disputed the $1100 charge from Firestone, but Firestone admitted no fault to our credit card company, even though it was clear they did something to the car in their shop. We suspect they did put transmission fluid in the brake line when they did the flush that first day, and then wouldn't take responsibility for their mistake. If they actually admitted the error, we would have worked with them to rectify. In the end, we are disputing again with the credit card company. We have already paid $1600 to have the brakes repaired to Browns. Now Firestone wants their $1100. It stinks that the original $450 tires are now amounting to $2700ish in repairs. We will never go back there again. Do not take your car there. Browns is honest and better. Discount tire is right next door. BTW, Firestone corporate was no help either. They sent out their specialist to see what was needed to fix the brakes days after the original tire replacement visit. Great job he or she did, right? Did I mention we had to borrow a car from a friend and paid them some money because we had it for over a week? Beware of this location. UPDATE: Firestone sent us a note saying they would be calling us this past Monday after we sent them a detailed complaint to the email they provided us. It is now Friday, and no one has called. They had their survey follow-up people call on Tuesday for a satisfaction survey, and we reported they hadn't even called us. read more
