Hello - I incorrectly posted this at the 77584 location initially. It is the 77581 location. Major problems with this location. I would like to show zero stars. My husband took his Honda into firestone across the street from HEB on broadway to have $400 tires installed. After a couple of hours, Firestone called and said the tires were done and asked if he wanted the brakes looked at and brake lines flushed. He said sure, it was going to be about $30 more as an add on. A few hours later, they called him and said his brakes were not working. They said they were shot and a cylinder and other components needed complete replacement. They said when they finished the brake flush the brakes weren't working, and asked him what he did to them. Keep in mind, he just had the car inspected 3 weeks prior, and drives the car everyday. He just drove the car into the shop in the morning, and hours later he had new tires and a destroyed brake system. He called Firestone corporate, and they were going to send out a specialist to the site a few days later. After that visit, They then told him it was going to cost another $650ish to fix the brakes so it would be drivable. He said fix them because he needed the car. When he went to pick it up, they forced him to sign a receipt that said something else was sure to go wrong with the brakes before they would give him his keys. So, he pulled out and it felt like the emergency brakes were on. After 200 yards the brakes were almost seized and smoking. He almost wrecked the car. This was a definite safety issue. He pulled into Browns Automotive, just down the street. Browns said the brake system was shot, and that no only did the cylinder need replaced again, but a bunch of other components. We checked around, and reputable car guys told us if they put transmission fluid in the brake line when Firestone flushed the line, the brake system would be destroyed instantaneously. Browns ended up fixing the system for another $1600. We disputed the $1100 charge from Firestone, but Firestone admitted no fault to our credit card company, even though it was clear they did something to the car in their shop. We suspect they did put transmission fluid in the brake line when they did the flush that first day, and then wouldn't take responsibility for their mistake. If they actually admitted the error, we would have worked with them to rectify. In the end, we are disputing again with the credit card company. We have already paid $1600 to have the brakes repaired to Browns. Now Firestone wants their $1100. It stinks that the original $450 tires are now amounting to $2700ish in repairs. We will never go back there again. Do not take your car there. Browns is honest and better. Discount tire is right next door. BTW, Firestone corporate was no help either. They sent out their specialist to see what was needed to fix the brakes days after the original tire replacement visit. Great job he or she did, right? Did I mention we had to borrow a car from a friend and paid them some money because we had it for over a week? Beware of this location. UPDATE: Firestone sent us a note saying they would be calling us this past Monday after we sent them a detailed complaint to the email they provided us. It is now Friday, and no one has called. They had their survey follow-up people call on Tuesday for a satisfaction survey, and we reported they hadn't even called us. read more

I had my rear brakes worked on a few months ago at a competitor and now started experiencing a pull to the left when hitting the brakes - as well as a mushy feeling to the brakes. I also wanted to have my A/C checked out. I took the car in on Monday and they said they would call me with the estimate but that for the A/C it would probably be Wednesday. Okay..... They finally called Thursday - 4 days later and told me something I had never heard of. They said since the brakes had been worked on recently, they would have to tear everything down and put it back together and that would be a lot of labor and the charges WOULD START at $320 !!!! This mechanic was just wanting a big paycheck.....easy money.... I politely said no, and will not be bothering them anymore. read more

if you have that lifetime warranty for alignment, then sure stop by this one. I usually make an appointment. Last time I had some work to finish, so I took my laptop; they have free wifi. Apparently, their online appointment scheduler is not working. However, this place is way better than Almeda. Now when it comes to prices, that is your own judgement. Slow and overpriced. I can change brakes myself, but I can't turn the rotors, balance the tires, adjust the alignment, or do the state inspection, so I figured I'd come by and get it all taken care of. Arrived for my 8 AM appointment on time. It's 12:45 and they are just now finishing. read more

I set an appointment at 1:30, was told that I could come 30 min early for a set of new tires. I waited for almost 4 hours with having an appointment set. Pure unprofessionalism!!! read more

Dealt with Firestone last week. Made an appointment the same day online and was confirmed within the hour. I called in just to confirm they had the tires I was needing in stock. They did have them in stock and Kyle offered me the option to drop off my truck sooner and it will get done quicker. Dropped it off, got a call about an hour later and was offered the obvious upsale of different items (Oil Change, Spark Plugs and Wires, Coolant Flush and Brake Fluid Fluid), all which I declined minus the oil change, I know my truck and what it did and didn't need. Kyle said they would get on it right away. Another hour later I got a call that it was ready. Kyle was knowledgeable, friendly and detailed with what was on my paperwork. Would definitely be coming back for regular oil changes and tires. On a side note: I shopped around, Discount Tire across the street was $30 cheaper (for an $800 set of tires) but Discount does not offer wheel alignments, and that's why I went to Firestone. read more

The only reason I can give this place even one star is because the man at the counter was nice. I needed new tires. It was going to take "about an hour or so." The Firestone truck was broken down (should have been my first clue) so they used my car to take me home. That was really okay with me but 4 hours later I called and asked how much longer. "Oh! We just got done with it!" A friend drove me to pick up my car. The friend left. "Uh....we are sorry, we are just now gonna start on your car." I sit for 2 more hours (what the heck???). The guy at the front was VERY apologetic. This summer we put 4,000 miles on my car. When we would get up to 70mph the whole car would begin violently rocking. At another place in another town just a few days after the Firestone debacle we took it to a garage. The mechanic there asked us to come look at the tires. "I don't know who 'balanced' these for you but there is way too much weight on them and they are certainly not balanced. That is what is causing the rocking." Really, Firestone? Lame. I will never return to the Pearland Firestone and certainly would never recommend it . read more

Absolutely terrible service! I dropped my 2010 Camry off for a full brake change (rotors, pads, & hardware) along with a lifetime wheel alignment. I took my car back 4 times within 2 months because of loud clanking and squealing coming from my "NEW" front brakes only for them to tell me they heard and saw nothing wrong. I ended up taking my car to Brake Check (who has a awesome open garage policy) where they found I was missing a brake clip within mins. They replaced my pads & hardware due to massive pitting from all the movement. I will NEVER be returning to Firestone for ANYTHING regardless of my lifetime wheel alignment nor will I ever refer anyone. Worst experience ever! read more

I have used this location twice so far. Once for a new battery and once for a total brake job on my Mercedes C230. During both experiences, I received fast, courteous, and competent service by friendly technicians. I can't be more satisfied! read more

Please!!! DO NOT go to this location!! My car was was running hot and I took it in to this location. They said that they did a block test on my car and the ending result was that I had blown head gaskets. They quoted me to repair the damage at $ 2700 and to replace the engine @ $4600. That was very expensive for me so I sold my car for for pennies going off of what this Firestone said.The person who I sold the car to is a mechanic did his own test on the car and discovered that the problem was a simple radiator cap and fill hose from the coolant tank. One week later I spoke with the manager at the and told what happen he had a very nasty attitude with me when I simply told what happened to me. I will be calling the office corporate about the matter. read more

The work staff must have a revolving door. It never has the same employees their. The new manager they recently hired a few months ago is extremely disrespectful to his employees. I heard him telling one to find more things wrong with the vehicle someone brought in. Took my vehicle to another mechanic who is a friend and asked to compare what Firestone said was wrong with my vehicle, and the repairs were far and fewer. I would never use this facility for any of your vehicle repairs unless you enjoy being ripped off. read more

I will not go to this location ever again. I was quoted a ridiculous price to fix something which I thought was expensive so I ended up going to another place for a second opinion and all they did is tighten a bolt and charged me nothing. If I didn't know any better, I would have lost a lot of money for nothing! I suggest always get a second opinion when you can. read more

I took my daughter's 2010 honda civic in for 2 tires(which I explicitly explained I wanted them on the front and the front tires rotated to the rear) and was told it would be 2 and a half hours before it was ready. I figured no problem I would just leave it there. After an hour I called them and asked them to do a state inspection as long as it was there, and was told no problem. An hour and a half later they called me to tell me that one of my tire pressure sensors was broken and in pieces in side the tire and that they wanted $130 for a new one. Strange that the tires they were changing were the original tires and I had never had a low tire lite on before( I do now). So when I picked up the car the new tires were on the back, the state inspection wasnt done and I now have a tire pressure monitor lite on.I have always bought mine and my wife's tires and the kids' tires at Firestone, but now dont think I will again. read more
