Convenient, helpful, and nice people. My husbands car finally bit the dust and it happened to be in the Stonehill Shopping Center parking lot. If you're gonna break down make sure you do it in front of an auto shop! It was almost closing time for these guys and they were nice enough to keep it for us overnight and evaluate it first thing in the morning. Unfortunately its an old car and the repairs weren't going to be worth it. They let us keep it there a couple days until we figured out what to do about it. Today i stopped by and Scott helped me get a tow to my house. He was very nice and very helpful and got the tow there within about 30 minutes! Although we are bummed abour the car, we are grateful that we happened to be in front of Firestone and it ended up being a good experience to do business with them. read more

This was the first time at this location and it was a great experience. Steven at this location was an amazing sales person and helped us in everyway. He made sure we were getting the right service done. We were unsure if we needed a balance or aligment on my husbands car, and he looked at the tired and was able to tell us right away that we need a balance. He also told us that we need to look at getting more tires with on next few months and was quivk to give us an estimate. Very great experience and the gentlemen was very friendly. Costly mistakes to my vehicle! The office was at first courteous, but the work they did on my car was very poorly done. They serviced my air conditioner and flushed my radiator. Unfortunately, they over tightened a clamp on the radiator and cracked it. They either did not notice or just did not tell me. The next day all of the coolant leaked out and my car overheated leaving me stranded 20 miles from home. To their credit, they sent a tow truck and replaced my radiator at no charge. However, when I picked up the car the second time the AC was not working. They said it was a coincidence that the compressor had just gone out while they had the car. I took it to another shop where it was discovered that Firestone had not properly connected a pressure sensor switch on the compressor. When I called to discuss this with them they were extremely rude and accepted no responsibility. So far, I cannot prove that they ruined the compressor but the way they treated me when I called to discuss it with them was completely unnecessary. I was being kind and asking them to consider any responsibility at all in the situation. I have used them several times before but after seeing the true colors of the assistant manager, and with all the problems I had this time, I will no longer use their services and I will warn others no to as well. read more

Price gouging for sure. My husband called for a quote and it was around $350 for 2 new tires. I went to check out, well over $400. Ended up bringing it back down to $344. Obvious overcharge if it was so easy to bring it down. Maybe cause I'm a woman? Who knows. Stars only because my tires are on right and the guy fixed the price. read more

We have used this location on numerous tries because they are local. Every time we have used them, we have run into issues. Once they said they couldn't fix my tire (wanted me to order a whole new set). Took it to the other Firestone and they fixed it no problem @ all. Then we had another vehicle with a nail - thought we would try again - same story as above. Third try was my daughters oil change - sent her up there for a basic oil change no bells or whistles and they charged her for the most expensive service they had with a high mileage extra charge for labor and oil (this was after her saying plain change)(her car only has 80,000 miles) - I see it as plain out taking advantage of a teen with a credit card. Not the place you would consider calling a family business. They will not treat you like family, and you get the call tomorrow when the manager is in spill. I just wanted them to correct the problem and he said he couldn't. Gee, how hard is it to Void a transaction and start over, even I know that can be done. I don't remember them always being this bad or untrustworthy. But i mean look at The other reviews. Came here because of location convenience but i will never give them my business again. Archie, although a seemingly nice guy, will most definitely try to upsell you on services and products you do not need. They are all about the money here. Not about trust, integrity, or actually helping people in the best way possible. I had a few services done, but one that was recommended to me by Archie was to get a tire replaced that was wearing lower than the others. I trusted him in that moment and took his recommendation. I showed up to firestone with my Tire Pressure light on. I reminded him that with the $450 worth of services i was paying for, if they could remember to take care of that too while my car is in their care. I got my car back a few hours later and drove off the lot and the tire pressure light was still on. They didn't fix my tire pressure at all. Then two days later, one of my other tires goes flat while I'm driving on the road. Maybe wasn't related to the time my car was at firestone but it did Seem a little suspicious to me. My car doesn't feel like it drives better than before i brought it to firestone. But i went to Discount Tire in Pflugerville and they truly took care of me and my tire needs. And then I will give my business to Express Oil Change for the other stuff because they always take care of me too. read more

If you are looking to get lied to about what your vehicle needs this is the place. And 1hr wait time is essentially 3 hr or whatever they want it to be. Came back to get my truck 2hrs later for an oil change, there were 4 empty bays and it had not even been started on. And no apology. read more

Beware. Ive been here multiple times. Yes the wait is long BUT what you should watch out for is price gouging in my opinion. Went in for an inspection on my daughters car. They said I needed a new headlight and would be $425. I sat back down and made a phone call to the local chevy dealer, $198. The always find something wrong with a ridiculous price attached. This Firestone failed to install proper brake pads on my car. The first time I took my car there to have the rear brake pads installed, it did not last but 2 months before I started to hear squealing noise. Several months later I took my car back to them and they inspected the car and said they placed the wrong pads on. They gave me new pads that they said were correct. Well, 6 months later after getting really tired of the same noise, I had a friend who's really great with cars look at it. Turns out the pads do not fit properly... pads are supposed to be tight and snug fit, but the rear pads on my car were loose, easily shifted with my hands. Not only that, the shims on the rear pads are missing. The retainer springs are missing. Both items DID come with the car. I can understand mistake once, but being careless like this... twice, bad service. Be very careful, I would watch them like a hawk when they work! read more

Came in to this service center on a Sunday morning. I had somehow got a screw in my tire on my BMW Z4 coupe. I came in to see if they could pull the screw and patch the hole. However, my tires were needing replacing anyway, so inquired about new tires. They had 3 in stock for my car at a great price, and had another at their sister store down the way, and were willing to go grab it for me to get me fixed up, despite clearly having a growing line of customers behind me that would have been easier money. After they had my car in the shop, I needed something out of my car and walked around to the bay where my car was and asked one of the guys if they could grab it for me. While there I made a comment about my rear bumper reflector that had fallen out because of someone side swiping me in a parking lot and leaving without a note. He looked and it was still trapped down in the bumper. Never actually specifically asked him to fix it. Upon getting my car back, drove to work and then back home, and noticed the guy had taken the extra 5 minutes to get the reflector out of my bumper and put it back in! They didn't charge me for that. Excellent customer service. The following week, my tire pressure light came on. Checked my pressure and the rear passenger tire was about 12psi low. Brought it back in to them for them to inspect. Turns out my TPMS sensor was stripped and it was leaking around there. They replaced it for me free of charge! I don't know if they messed it up when replacing my tires or if it was just already messed up, but they seem to have taken the fault for it and replaced it for free with no hassle. I will most certainly be a returning customer to this Firestone location. Highly recommended. read more

I've been to this Firestone 2-3 times over the past few months 2 times not even getting work done. Every time I called to inquire about cost for services I get quoted something much less than what is told me when I show up in person. Asked about alignment check and alignment and over phone I was told they could check it w/o charging then only charge me if I needed an alignment and it was performed. When i got there they wanted to charge me $20 just to see if one was needed. Unfortunately I needed the alignment as I was about to head out of town so I paid to have it done which an alignment was needed. Two other times I called for an oil change quote for full synthetic on my 2010 VW GTI and was quoted most recently around $58 out the door after a $15 discount applied. I made appointment and showed up at 1pm and the guy tells me it's $107. I advised him my quote given yesterday and he said my car required a different filter and oil and that's why it cost more. I said it shouldn't matter I gave the lady all the information on my car yesterday so she should have been able to tell me that over the phone. He did take $5 off the filter cost to help with price and I still didn't understand why the Filter was an additional $30 but cost was about $50 more taxes wouldn't be $20 on a $30 difference. The guy was not very friendly or helpful and I've found my experience here each time was about the same customer service/satisfaction is not high on their list. read more

I called this store for a replacement tire for my Ford Excursion (we ran over something on 45 and had a blowout) and they told me they had one so I set up an appointment. I arrive at the appointment and wait with my 5 year old daughter and 45 minutes after I'd been sitting there!! with the vehicle on the lift in the shop) the Mgr tells me that the tire is the wrong one (it's not the white letter out like the rest of the tires). He tells me that they can get the tire I need from South Austin in a few hours and that the tire is about $10 more. I decide after speaking with my husband that we'll look somewhere else for our tire and ask them to just rotate the tires. They didn't get that done either because they couldn't remove the rear drivers side tire. Then on my way out the door he informs me that to get the tire from South Austin there's a $30 charge!!! I will NEVER go back to this place again!!! And I was dealing with the Manager - he was not at all concerned that he wasted my morning (was there an hour and a half) nor did he in any way try to accomodate me for their mistake!!! When I asked if the could flip the other 3 tires so they'd all be black wall out he told me that would cost me $54! read more

I love this location! They are always treating me with respect and kindess even though I'm a lady. They are clean, fast, and I've never had a problem after getting my car serviced. My family vacation was going to be ruined but they totally saved me by fitting me in and getting me a new fuel pump installed in the same day. I recommend all my family and friends here. read more

Very displeased and angry! Would give 0 stars if it would let me! I made an appointment for an alignment on my car for 9:00. I dropped off my car a little before 9:00 and was told that it shouldn't be a problem having the car done around 11:00-11:30. A friend picked me up and then brought me back around 11:15. When we pulled into the parking lot, my car was in the exact same location where I had left it so I was suspicious. When I got into the shop I was told that my car hadn't been started yet because there was another car on the alignment rack and had been there all morning. They said it was going to be another hour until my car would even be able to be started. The Firestone associate told me they had gotten a few early bird drop offs that morning and it had already been a very busy day. The only thing I can figure is because I have free lifetime alignment they wouldn't make any money on my job so I got pushed to a low priority. I promptly left with my car and will never go back to that Firestone location again. So two things: 1. What is the purpose of having an appointment? Didn't seem to do me any good. 2. If that car was on the rack when I dropped mine off at 9:00, then why was I told that it shouldn't be a problem having my car done by 11:00-11:30? read more

Both my husband and I have had car/truck troubles this year. We have had to take each of our vehicles in multiple times with problems/for routine maintenance. Each time we are greeted immediately with happy employees. There is one gentleman who works there, I think his name is Chris. He has been extremely helpful and considerate. We are very happy we found this place and we plan to continue to bring our vehicles here exclusively. read more

The 2 stars is because Brian was great. However the business is slow. I went in because I had hit a pothole and needed a new wheel. I ordered the wheel from acura but Firestone insisted I get a new tire even though mine was absolutely fine and only 3 months old. There are plenty of places that will simply check your tire and just put it on the new wheel. Plus even when the place is empty it will take an hour for them to even get the car lifted. You can easily do better. read more

I had my oil changed here to try them out a few weeks ago. They told me the oil was full synthetic - beware it is not. It is a mixed oil that is only part synthetic. I decided to get it out of my vehicle and go back to mobile 1. I bought the oil and filter and have spent several hours trying to get the freaking oil plug loose! I should have know something was not going to turn out well at firestone when they came into the lobby and told the guy next to me his lug nut was on so tight they might have to break it to get it off. He responded: "no one has worked on it but you." I never found out if they broke the wheel bolt and you can guarantee I will never be going back there. I will leave that place to the suckers and losers since that is what you are if you go there. read more

The customer service here is incredibly lacking and their service is extremely slow . I dropped my car off for a simple state inspection and was told to pick my car up an hour later. When I showed up an hour later, my car was in the exact same spot that I left it. The explanation that was given to me was that they told me "about 1 hour" and that it would take another 30 to 40 minutes to get the inspection done. The were unapologetic and unhelpful. I have had a wonderful experience both times I came here! I bought an older vehicle and I wanted an oil change and total vehicle inspection so I would know what I'm dealing with. When they were done, they explained every detail thoroughly so I would understand (I'm not going to pretend I'm a car expert and I hate it when people talk car talk and I have no idea what they're saying!). I expected to hear my car had a few things it needed fixed because it's older, and it did, but they assured me it was all minor. They didnt pressure me at all to get anything fixed right away. Usually when you go to a mechanic they have that "Nope we gotta fix this now so fork over the money" attitude, these guys were friendly and explained with honesty how important each problem was. Thankfully everything can wait and I have time to save up and get those minor things fixed when the time comes. They walked through a step by step plan with me so I know where to begin when I'm ready to have some stuff fixed up. Being an anxious person, I was very relieved to have no pressure put on me and have a thorough understanding of everything. Also, they have a play area for kids and I have 2 toddlers so I salute them for that! The prices were fair too and their service time estimates were fairly accurate. We shopped around the shopping center it's located at while we waited. I'll definitely return to them again when I need to! read more

I never thought Id write a review on a tire store/oil change place but I had this on my mind all week so Ill give it a go. Firestone really drives me up the wall with their pricing on thier oil changes. I have 5 cars and get all my service and tires done through them but they cannot give me a consistent price for an oil change even though I have a card with a $19.99 discount. The excuse I get for the reason why I was charged less the time before was because that person didnt manually enter the discount properly. Everytime I bring my car in for an oil change the manager and I argue over this. I am sure I am a big pain in his rear end for bickering over a couple bucks, but hey! I got 5 mouths to feed and 4 kids to put through college. Anyways, took my truck in last Sunday for my 4 month oil change. Went through the same arguement with the manager. Gave up this time trying to fenagle a better price for my discount card. Was actually charged more the previous visit (go figure). So I went back to pick up my truck thinking I was gonna argue to get the difference for the price I paid the time before. My truck was not ready and I sat in the waiting room but what caught my eye completely impressed me. The manager Ryan Salter was actually getting his hands dirty underneath my car and helping out the tech that was working on it. Needless to say I was shocked. My feelings of being argumentative were instantly subdued. I expected spit in my sandwich for giving this guy a hard time everytime I go in there but instead he demonstrated true integrity and I gotta say I am impressed. Well... If only I'd read the reviews before going in to try to get a state inspection done on my husband's and my car this morning. We arrived opening time (9:00am sharp, Sunday) to be told it could take somewhere between 2-3 hours. We had a lot planned for that day so weren't thrilled that it would take so long. The rep we talked to suggested we might try an oil lube business. We thought about it and initially agreed that it might be the way to go. But as we headed toward our car we thought about it some more and decided not to take the chance that we might be delayed even more. My husband went back inside the office to say that we'd decided to go ahead and get the inspection done and wait the 2-3 hrs. He spoke to a different guy this time, and this second guy said we'd need to leave the car with them the WHOLE DAY!!! For a simple state inspection?! And remember, we got there at opening time - 9:00am. Needless to say, we decided to go find another independent business. We found one within 15 minutes, and they were done with the inspection in about 12 minutes flat! We are tired of dealing with Firestone. The MoPac/Parmer Lane store isn't much better. They never stick to the time they say something will take to repair or service. They rarely call when the car is ready to collect. And they always find additional repairs to add to their initial quotes. Our business with Firestone has come to an end. read more
