Blew a tire on my horse trailer on the way down the mountain heading back home to Queen Creek,Az, It's on a Saturday at 2:30 in the afternoon during a excessive heat warning it's 111°F out. This is the closest tire shop to stop at I go in and ask if the can change the tire for me and put the spare on to get home. They said no our policy doesn't allow us to do that on trailers. But their policy allows 4 gown men sit and watch a women and 14year old (with horses on the trailer) use their Jack and impact gun which I'm sure isn't in their policy and change it ourselves while they all watched in 111°F weather... What happend to doing the right thing and just helping people out!!! Horrible customer service! read more

I was able to schedule an appointment and they finished on time as they said they would. Upon my walking into the office the door bell rang and I was standing there for about 5 minutes as I heard the two in the back acknowledge that the sound indicated that someone walked in but neither came around to look. I stood there listening to them talk football until one of the techs from outside actually stopped what he was doing, opened the door and told them I was there. My oil change service got denied because they didn't couldn't get the cap off without ruining the thread. They did the oil change a few months prior and already ruined the thread from the last oil change so it was BS for them to decline my service. When I do get an oil change it takes over 3 hours!!! They are also rude and inconsiderate. They overlook my opinion on my car because they want money for overpriced parts that they don't even have in stock. We suddenly got a flat tire not far from this location miles from home on a Sunday. Everywhere else was closed and firestone was PACKED and they were understaffed. The employees were extremely friendly and got us in pretty quick and repaired our tire timely. I've been in a really tough spot since covid hit, and the fact that my alternator blew didn't make it any easier. They let me keep my car in the lot until i was able to afford the repairs, and everyone I talked to on the phone was understanding and compassionate. During my repair, they explained to me exactly what went wrong and the repairs they were doing. Don't bother. Tried making an appointment online, arrived at store and no appointment on record. Made a new appointment a few days later for an alignment come to find out I needed some new parts. They ordered the parts and called 3 days later saying they were available. I made another appointment a few days later to have the parts installed and alignment. Showed up for the appointment and was told by a new manager that they don't have the parts and have no record of them arriving. Come to find out that the new manager returned the parts because he did not know they were for me?? Shady. Will not be back. read more

We were on the we to Rock springs and our oil light came on. We knew that they were right around the corner. They simply said pull up to bay 1. They topped off the oil and and simply said that was all that was needed and reassured us that our engine was fine until we came back to them to get the oil changed which made us feel confident that our SUV would be fine until we can get back to them and get it done and they didn't even charge us and they were even open on a Sunday. They saved our Bacon and we it didn't ruin out plans to go eat breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning. Kudos to you Firestone. read more

I'm sorry to have to update this, but I wasn't impressed this last time I came in. Turned out I needed a $10 EGR seal put in to pass emissions. They figured this out while I was there, and told me they could get it done that morning. Knowing I needed my rear rotors resurfaced, I told them to look at that too, and get back to me with the price. They had me leave my car for a whopping 2.5 hours, only to call and say "Uh sorry, we don't actually have that seal as we said, and you need all 4 rotors and pads, AND four new tires.... it'll be $1400 out the door... plus $25 to send someone to pick that seal up at the dealership, unless you wanna do it yourself." I nearly had a heart attack, needless to say. When I got back, they had also told me to get the wrong part, so it's a good thing I talked to the guy who actually looked at the car. I added up all the "work" I needed done according to their board, and it should have come to around $900, including putting in this seal (which the guy flippantly told me "Ah yeah, it's a $10 part and it'll take half an hour, but it's labor of $100". Screw my two college degrees, I need to become a mechanic! To top it off, I know I do not need all four tires - I just had two of them done and they are rated for another 30k miles. I'm really disappointed to have to write this review, but I'll be taking my car elsewhere. I called Honest-1 Auto in Glendale, and they quoted me $53 for the exact same labor. Ding! read more

This is the second time to visit this Fletcher Tire. We needed a new set treads so we called them to price compare to some of the other local tire dealers. They always seem to have some kind of specials going on and they add additional perks when you purchase tires from them, like free oil changes. Product ~ They were able to find me the tires I was looking for and price matched their competition. Service ~ They were able to transfer the tires I needed to this Fletcher Tire, which is located close to where I live. They called me within three hours to let me know my tires had arrived and they were ready for me to bring in my car. They started right a way when I pulled up and in less than 30 mins I was off with a new set of treads! Perks ~ They found a manufactures rebate and applied it to my bill without asking. They gave me some free future oil changes, some coupons and deals on other services they offer. Free tire rotation and inspection as needed. I recommend you try Fletcher's Tire and Auto Service. Well it's a little past 12, i've been here since 7. It took an hour to diagnose my power steering leak as a bad hose an come up with a list of stuff I don't need. They estimated 2 hours to get and replace the part. After 3 hours I asked how things were going and was told the wrong part was delivered. It's funny the same thing happened the last time I brought my care here. I'm never coming here again and can't recommend this place unless you have plenty time and money to waste. A little followup after I got my bill. I had told the service rep I didn't want anything else other than the leaking hose replaced and the power steering flushed. I got my bill and there was an air filter and intake cleaning on the bill. That was an unexpected extra $39,00. Can anyone tell me what an intake cleaning is? I've been driving for 46 years and put over a million miles on various cars and this is the first time I have had my intake cleaned. read more

Got a coupon for a $12.95 Oil Change, full service synthetic blend. Sounds great right? I called and made an appointment, told them my info, car, and referenced the great offer on oil change. I show up two days later for my appointment and they tell me, "oh you need the full synthetic oil change and thats $49.95". I've been here before so maybe this was a one-off situation, but I've had my vehicle serviced at a dealer for no more than $22.00 ever. I wish they had told me this when I made the appointment instead of taking off work to get this done. To be told I require a full-synthetic and it will be $40 more than what I booked in for once I was there in-person leaves me feeling bamboozled. Probably won't be back. read more

I rarely feel like I've been treated fairly and honestly from this shop. We have made several purchases and been there several times for service out of convenience . We just had a vehicle serviced and knowing we are on a budget, we believe they added a diagnostic charge originally stating there would be none, also adding a cleaning of intake we feel was not necessary to repair the problem the vehicle was originally brought in for. They decided to deduct 25.00 of a very large repair bill to satisfy me . Twice I have questioned " tire rotation" .. And have heard " you didn't request it " ?? Even though it was part of the service coupon we paid for , or we hear, oh we just forgot to put it on the work order, but it's been done ! Oh and don't bother with Groupons .. Abe was AMAZING. I wasn't able to get my tire changed same day when I got a flat and was on my way to work, but he went out of his way to find me an appointment next day closer to home. He called 11 or 12 other stores for me, and got an appointment where my tire was in stock. He helped me change out the flat and put a donut on, and made sure to check everything before I headed out. When I came in on a Sunday to see Calvin, because Discount Tires is closed on Sundays, he took a look at it and determined it would need to be replaced due to the placement of the screw in the side of the tire. Obviously this will need to be taken care of where we purchased it, however, they very kindly put on our spare tire for us in the meantime. No charge. The next time I need to buy tires I will be getting them right here at Firestone where Calvin works. Because you sometimes need service on a Sunday! read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! This facility is full of scam artists. I brought my car to this location for a $20 tire rotation. I was offered a free alignment check upon arrival so I said sure, why not! When I picked up my car a few hours later I was told my alignment was so bad that I was going to need to have multiple parts replaced and that it wasn't safe to be driving the car. I was also told that my tires were pointing inwards towards each other and at this rate I would have to replace my tires very soon. I talked to my fiancé and we decided to get a second opinion right away. Well I took my car in to another place today and they found nothing wrong, they said the alignment was a tiny bit off but other than that my car looked perfect! On top off all that the woman at the front desk was extremely rude. Horrible customer service. I am very disappointed in this Firestone, I will not be using any Firestone location because of this experience from now on! read more

I bought a Groupon for 2 oil changes, unfortunately, at this location, 2825 W Carefree Hwy, Phoenix, AZ 85085, my 1st experience at Fletchers. This location tried to tell me I needed engine work, tried to scare me into high dollar repairs, they didnt feel like even doing the oil change, was their tactic because of the radiator fluid that came out, due to too much excess in the reserve; It definitely was not for needing engine repairs. This visit was over 2 weeks ago and thank God it was just this locations way of doing business, try to scare the client into spending money! And yes they charged me then for extra fees, tax etc after the Groupon was used. My 2nd experience, a different vehicle that is older and has much more miles, and will need to be replaced sooner than later, was at the location of 1141 E Bell Road Phoenix, AZ 85022. This was the first time using this location, they changed the oil within 30 minutes, and didn't charge me for any extra fees, and provided great service. I didnt mention anything to this location about the one in Tramanto, North Phoenix area. I actually joked with the service rep., "are you sure I dont need any engine repair work?" He said, "no, not unless you want me to." I would definitely go back to the Fletchers on Bell Rd again and refer others to that location. read more

This Firestone has failed me repeatedly. Initially (10/2020) I took my truck in for an alignment using my lifetime alignment. They told me that they would not honor my lifetime alignment because my truck is modified (even though the Firestone I purchased from explicitly said that it was fine). I then asked them to look at why the brakes on the truck were squealing. They did not contact me, I had to call them repeatedly, and finally they told me that they did not find anything wrong with the brakes. Less than one week later a brake caliper failed. Two weeks ago I called and asked if they could replace my power steering pump and gear, as my power steering was going out. They gave me a price quote, we agreed, and I dropped my truck off the day before my appointment, stressing that if at all possible I needed my truck back the next day. They assured me that should not be a problem. They did not start looking at my truck until the next afternoon, and at the end of the day they were still not finished. They assured me it would be done the next morning and would call me to let me know when it would be done. They did not call until 1:15pm, which I missed, and when I called them back at 1:53pm I was told that they would call me back. They called back at 2:26pm and told me that my truck would be completed in 1-1.5 hours and they would call me when it was done. I called them again at 5:15pm and they told me they were finishing up, so I got a ride to the shop, and when I arrived after 6pm they were still not done. I took the truck home, and the next time that I drove it, noticed the steering wheel jerk to one side and the entire truck start shaking when hitting a bump around 45mph, and this continued until I came to a complete stop. This happened twice, so I dropped the truck off on 2/8 around closing time to be looked at. They again assured me that it would be looked at in the morning and I would receive a call with a diagnosis at 10am. I did not receive a call the next day until 1:46pm, at which point they told me that there was a bolt missing from the bracket directly under the power steering gear that they replaced the week before, which has to be removed to remove the gear, and that the technician said it was missing the week before (which is not documented on any paperwork, and was not relayed to me) and that he never removed the bracket. The truck was not exhibiting symptoms of this missing bolt prior to it being in the shop, and I informed the service advisor that if that was causing the problem, and the bolt were missing before, it would have been exhibiting symptoms before. I also informed him that the bracket needed to be removed to replace the gear. He again reiterated that the tech said he did not remove the bolt and that if I wanted to discuss it further I could come down to the shop and discuss it when I picked the truck up. I then received an email stating that the truck was ready to be picked up. I got a ride 30 minutes to the store, and when I arrived was told that I would need to leave the truck with them overnight to have the bolt replaced and that (conveniently) the technician had left for the day. When I tried to show the service advisor that the bracket was removed by showing him that the paint lines on the bolts were in different locations, and that the gear is directly on top of the bracket, he refused to go look and simply kept repeating "I was just telling you what the technician told me". I ended up having to drive the truck home, still missing a bolt, and will have to have it taken to another shop (and pay all of their labor fees in addition to Firestone's) because I cannot trust that anything that was just done was done right, or that the truck is safe to drive. Should the bracket have failed on the road leading away from my house, my truck's front axle and body would have no lateral stability, and the entire truck could have rolled off the side of the mountain. Would not recommend this location to do any oil change, much less anything that could impact your safety. read more

negative stars. Took it in on their recommendation for a manifold gasket replacement. Scheduled an appointment to bring it in on a Friday. Called Sunday at 11:20 AM said they just started on it and needed it for another day. I had informed them when I dropped it off I need it for work. When confronted about the time they started Manager swore that they started on Saturday...When the tech came in "josh" he said no he started on Sunday pretty sure he is the one who called the first time. I told them no I need it back today. Was called at 4:30, oh we need to replace this other gasket and we need to go buy it (According to all information I found on this this gasket is recommended to ALWAYS BE CHANGED when replacing the manifold gasket, water intake). Promised to have it done that night. I was then called at 8pm that it was ready. My wife drops me off I go to the bay...hood is still up and the engine is making a god aweful clanging noise. I wait outside the bay for a 1/2 hour listening to them starting and restarting my vehicle with the clanging noise. At about 8:30 I get a phone call again, I notify them I am standing outside the bay. I am told they don't know were the knocking sound is coming from. I tell them they should because it didn't sound that way when I brought it in. Fast forward to Wednesday night I get a phone call. They can't fix it but expect payment for a job that is not complete. On Thursday I am forced under duress to pay so I can have it towed to Brake Masters. Brake Masters gets the vehicle pushes it into the bay. They do not start it. They check the fluids. NO OIL!! When confronted Firestone claims they didn't do anything with the oil yet on their check sheet they have marked off that the oil level was OK. oh did I mention it had a Firestone filter on the vehicle even though Brake Masters is the last place that changed the oil? There was not even 2 quarts of oil in the pan. When the oil was poured out it was full of glitter from the metal shavings from Firestone continually running it while trying to "figure" out what was wrong. This was only 1 step. It was then started and found it was running rough. Brake Masters found an injector clip that was shoved on wrong and broken because of this when Firestone hooked everything back up in fact found a bag tie that they used to try to keep it in place. I went to drive it home about 1/2 mile in engine again sounding really rough and engine light flashing. Returned to brake Masters the following morning. Brake Masters pulled the plug from the cylinder that the code told them to and found the the spark plug chewed up like it was beat with a hammer because according to their profession opinion when the manifold was off these guys at Firestone accidently or purposely (I don't know which I hope it is just plain incompetence and not malice) dropped a nut or washer or some other metallic foreign object into the this area. Cylinder is shot, engine is shot. You denied accountability at every turn but you WILL BE held accountably. NEVER EVER EVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE DRIVE THE EXTRA MILEAGE TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Now I have to rent a car until I can find one to purchase! read more

Even though I came in on the middle of what was clearly a very busy Saturday, they accepted me as a walk in, within a short time my car was being checked out, and then moments later I was given a very clear itemized list of the issues, what can be put off a little and what were major major issues (which is why I was there to begin with). On Saturday, June 23, 2020, I was returning to Phoenix from Flagstaff, with my car very heavily loaded with household goods, packed full, passenger seat to the back tailgate. I suffered a bad blowout, quarter mile north of the Carefree Highway exit. I was able to hobble, slowly, off I-17, onto the Carefree Highway, and limp my way into Firestone. Calvin E., the manager, helped me get my car unloaded enough to reach the spare (which he graciously inspected and filled), and helped me put it on the car. The home to which I was traveling, is close to this store. Calvin then told me that since there was no room for the damaged tire and wheel in the car, I could go to the house, unload, and return to pick up my wheel; deciding what replacement path I should take. When I asked what I owed for the service he had shown me, he simply said, "No money. Please tell your friends about us, though." New tires are in the future and more work on the car, too. Calvin and his crew will definitely hear from us sooner than later. You should check them out, too, if you want courteous, prompt, clean, and professional car service, as well, too!! Poor service. Just needed an oil change been there before for services on my truck Oct 2017 I did a 50k service oil change transmission flush and rear differential fluid exchange. Today I took my truck there when I was paying for the oil change they said my transfer case needed serviced I looked at the guy and said are you kidding me it's two wheel drive there is no transfer case. Look at me with a blank face then continues to tell me my transmission needed serviced I said really it was just done at this location in October 10k miles ago. They are thieves.
