These guys suck. They take advantage of people who don't know any better. I took my car in for a courtesy check of my fluids. I called and asked if they had room on a Saturday for a walk in and was told yes. I went in spent 4 hours and was told my battery was BAD and needed to be replaced along with a string of other things that needed to be done. The battery is less than a year old. I had a disappointing experience at Firestone, and I feel compelled to warn others. I spoke with Tony, the manager, who made it clear he had no interest in helping the moment I mentioned a promotional coupon sent directly by Firestone. I rearranged my schedule to honor my appointment time, only to be told it would take up to 2 hours for a simple oil change--a service that typically takes no more than 30 minutes. What's the point of having an appointment if you're going to be stuck waiting hours? When I attempted to reschedule, I was offered only a 7:30 AM weekday slot the following week--with the same unreasonable 2-hour estimate. Since the coupon expires within a week, I asked if Firestone would honor it during a more reasonable time slot. Tony flatly said no. Making basic services unnecessarily difficult and inconvenient simply because a customer has a coupon--one Firestone themselves issued--is a terrible business practice. This kind of treatment shows a complete lack of respect for customers' time and trust. I have been a customer for over 20 years. All my vehicles come here for select types of services. Getting new tires for my appraised stored 300ZX was a mistake. The claims process was devastating. The damages done to my custom wheels was absolutely unpleasant. The outrageous amount of scratches and dents from the wheel clamps displayed carelessness. The claims department acknowledged the damages on 9.25.25 @ 1:57pm. The very next 9.26.25 @ 11:53am they denied all liability and claim. They disregarded all communications in reference to photos and details. The Wheel Doctor provided feedback and unfortunately not repairable. The Wheel Doctor confirmed my wheels were damaged by their machine. The custom wheels are discontinued. Discount Tires provided feedback without even seeing photos and was able to describe the type of damage that looks like a snake bite. I laid a fabric tape measured between the damages as in the photo. I provided contact information for the Wheel Doctor so Firestone can reach and confirm the information I provided. Their mentality at this point is "take it leave it." They offered $500.00 and would not have an open discussion. Do you not take your custom wheels here for new tires. The damages done is painful. I will no longer do business with Firestone. Unfortunately, I have their lifetime wheel alignment for all my vehicles. They do have a good alignment program. I will no longer use the NE Sandy location for any auto services for any of my vehicles. read more

They worked very hard to navigate a difficult insurance situation with our VW Tiguan and due largely to their diligence we were able to receive a $0 deductible on parts/service on brake work for all four wheels. Brought my tire in to be fixed from a flat - the AAA guy who changed it to the spare said he could not see a reason for its flat but take it into your shop to be fixed / I did -Victor said he would fix it himself in 30 minutes . Went to a store came back and saw my car sitting still with the spare on it - Victor said he tried to call me twice - it did not register even as the Colorado number it later displayed after calling several times - to return my call - Victor said the rim was bent - he sprayed water and there was slight bubbling . He said I would have to find a wheel since my car is older When I returned home I noticed at the "bent" area multiple marks at the one area of the bend on the rim - Very concerning . After so many years of using this shop for service now I question their trust . read more

I made an appointment for my front two tires to be switched out for snow tires, which I already had. I had to come in a little later for my appointment, which I called them about to make sure that was okay or if I needed to reschedule, they said to still come in. I know Saturdays are busy for them but I ended up staying 5+ hours which is way too long for only two tire replacements. I asked them to recycle the first two tires that they switched out as the tread was no longer good and come to find out they had left them in my trunk. It was already dark when I left, and I was just ready to be done, so I did not see them. I did check with the front desk to make sure that they had been recycled before leaving however and he said yes. I think I was overly patient with them and I tried not to be a Karen about it, but that behavior was not acceptable. I think my time with Firestone has come to an end for my car maintenance. read more

Very friendly and professional as soon as i walked in this Monday. Although Firestone couldn't do an alighnmeant on my car (it's lowered so it's not their fault!), the man at the desk answered all my questions and explained very clearly why it couldnt be done. He happily measured my tire depth for me when I asked; he didn't have to do this for me! and explained the depth and process for eventually getting new tires since my wheels have camber, and the tires are wearing more on the inside. They also pointed me to a trusted shop that can do an alignment on my car before I left. As a woman who often feels walked over and demeaned when dealing with mechanic shops, Firestone treated me like a human. read more

I would give it a 0. I went in for a nail in my tire. They said it was unrepairable, and I needed four new tires and a new battery. I took it to Les Schwab today. They gave me free tire repair. The tires are in good condition, and if I drive for 20 minutes, my battery will be back to full charge. This shop is terrible. DO NOT GO! It is predatory and also tries to sell "credit" every chance it gets. read more

Recommend unnecessary repairs. Told me I need a new oil pan gasket so I cleaned it, off drove it for a few hours and what do u know no signs of oil leaking. I told them if my oil pan gasket is leaking then there should be new oil on the oil pan right now since I just cleaned it. They did not care. They said they see oil so it must be leaking. Scheduled a transmission fluid exchange a week in advance. Show up to my appointment at 3pm on July 19th 2023 and they don't have me in the system. Shocker. So they "get me in". Absolutely no communication that they will need to keep my car overnight. Well they do. I call at 9am to make sure it's done before I walk back. They haven't even started it. I play phone tag a few times to have them tell me they don't even have the oil needed and that they need to order it. They say the oil will be there at 11:30 and can will be done by 1pm. Wanna guess it they got it done? Nope. Once again no communication. I call and call no answer. So I walk back at 3:45 and they inform me they never started it. Smfh have the audacity to ask me if I want to rebook for a different day. If you cannot work on cars stop taking damn appointments and allowing drop offs. It's actually a simple business model. If you like your car and like to use it please steer clear of this business. Only good part was Ian when he checked me in was polite and friendly. Other than that never again. Oh and the icing on the cake? I paid for the service ahead of time through my company and now have to wait for a refund to go somewhere else. read more

I came in for an oil change July 25th and a vehicle inspection (which terribly resulted in replacing all 4 of my tires due to 4 nails found in one). They put an oil in my car that was "acceptable" but not what my car specifically needed for ideal function and longevity. My car began to guzzle gas and struggle to speed up and go up hills. I had a different Firestone check my car incase it was not aligned correctly from tire change or any other shenanigans. Turns out the technician agreed it was the oil they put in and very coyly insinuated it wasn't correct to do and "he'd replace the oil with the proper type if it were his car." He offered to do it for free in one week if I continued to have the issue. Unfortunately, I had to make an emergency road 4 hours north of me and had to get in and get this oil changed stat. I spoke with Brandi a few times and she was very helpful, very patient, and saw to it that I was able to get in last minute and on the road as soon as possible. I arrived and told the team I was told I'd be able to get my car back in an hour-hour half so I can arrive to my family up north as soon as possible. A technician was hasty to say "it's gonna take way longer than that today." But Brandi had my back and explained the situation. I got my car back 45 mins later with the correct oil and my car was driving as it once was. 3 stars not 1 because they corrected the cause for free, 3 stars not 5 because I had to go through all that. Not to mentioned I originally had an appointment the week before the 25th, showed up, and had to reschedule because no technicians showed up that day. Oy vey. But big shout out to Brandi! read more

Made an appointment three weeks ago to get new tires since I'm driving cross country and they told me they needed to order the tires and that they will arrive in two weeks. Two weeks come and go and I show up for my appointment only to find out after sitting there for an hour that they didn't even order them?!?! The front desk girl goes "I'm not sure who booked your appointment but they didn't do their job and order your tires" and then was shocked when I responded "YOU booked my appointment tho..." Just leaving this shop for the 5th time over the past 6/7 months. Everyone here is too bothered to be courteous or respectful! I first brought my car here in march to have a tire repaired and my brakes done. I wish I would have NEVER! The service was poor. The work done was of poor quality. My car somehow got "stuck" on the lift and they had to remove my battery and take apart something else , blah, blah, blah bc the mansplaining is consistently audacious. Anywho after the first attempt at repair, my car's brake light was flashing, sensors not working, and brakes still squeaking. I go back two -three days later because the person who was able to "fix" it would not be available until next week. Scared to drive my car in that condition- I had no choice but to wait. I brought it back and, it never got better. I called a few time to inquire and was told it's typical and to wait it out, as "it can take time for the car to adjust to repairs". Never got better. Finally I'm told to take it in (months later and sharing my dad insisted) As I anticipated they would, they discover an "unusually fast breakdown of my pads" - smh! They never put them on in the first place, I'm sure of it. They "repair" the breaks "correctly" this time, and share they found a screw in my tire - the same tire they inspected, adjusted and filled just two days prior now has a screw in it and I need 4 new tires because of all wheel drive; but not for me to worry because He can "give me a deal" ( communicated in an incredibly short and condescending tone). I explained how I I can't afford that - he explained how I have to get four new tires and we have a great payment plan of you open and Firestone acct. I again reiterated that I cannot afford the $1000 "deal" he was offering. I also shared how previously my tire was repaired given its a Firestone tire - he then clarified "they must have just been being nice" and that I will be "forced to go to a mom and pop tire shop" to get a single tire. Noting his feedback, I then shared with him how unsettling this feels considering I was just in the shop two days ago and had my tires inspected rotated and the pressured adjusted (given my sensor light was on) and no one mentioned seeing anything in my tire. His response was "well I wasn't here so I couldn't tell you" - to which I replied, right but the "master mechanic" who just brought you my service report and keys was. He then concluded with "I don't know what to tell you" and mentioned the mom and pop option again. I asked for a receipt and copy of the service report (because that wasn't offered or proactively provided) and left. I'm convinced they put that screw in my tire bc they were upset about having to repair my brakes for free given their poor service previously and planned to receive payment one way or another. In addition how much of an inconvenience would it have been for them to repair my tire given ALL of the MANY inconveniences their poor service has caused me?! I hope the disrespectful and distasteful engagement and poor quality service and repairs isn't a reflection of all Firestones in Portland - I miss Georgia! read more

I will start this by saying I have had excellent service here at times but it's not consistent. Today my check light symbol came on and I went in. No one came into the front office so I opened a side door and asked a guy to come out. He told me to go to the front which I did and then asked me if I wanted to leave my car. I said no, I would like someone to come out and figure out which light was out as my check light came on and it could be any light; front, back, turn signals, breaks, etc. He did a quick walk around without asking me to try the blinkers or the breaks and said no lights were out and said the light come on warning must be broken. Seriously? How lazy and rude. I left. Last time I went in they couldn't figure out how to get my low tire pressure light to go off after filling the tires. I went to another repair shop and they did it in a snap. Before that I went in for a new 12 volt battery as a preventative measure. They installed a faulty one without testing it first which resulted in me having to be towed to the tune of $200 and they refused to pay for it. That caused me to file an insurance claim and a rate increase due to their negligence. When I left and drove just a few miles and my defective battery light came on and I called the woman working told me it wasn't the battery as I just had a new one installed. I took it in after being towed and it was tested and was indeed defective. Hello, test your product before installation. I have an electric car so this shut me down completely. The location is great for me and there have been other employees who have been nothing less than stellar; not so much the last two times, so now 3 times. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a Monday to have my ac looked at. They called me on Monday and said the tech was off on mondays and that I could bring it in Wednesday. No biggie - I get it. So I bring my car in on Wednesday at 11 and at 4 I call them to see what's up. No answer. I call about 5 more times before I get someone on the line who tells me that they haven't looked at it but will do it now. Starting to get frustrated. I get a call at 4:30 saying that they can fix it but I'll need to pick it up the following day as it be done after hours. At this point I realized I should have read the reviews of this place. The first oil change appointment I made was not fulfilled because booking online "doesn't work at this location". I had to book an appointment two weeks out. When I arrived for my second oil change appointment the employee looked me in the eye and asked if I was prepared to leave my car therefor two days. I've never heard of leaving a car somewhere for days for an oil change in my life. And I would not recommend anyone leaves there car here over night as the areas sketchy. I came in for a complete set of new tires and possible alignment. Kind of nervous going in because there were so many bad reviews for the Sandy location, but Brenda up front was super helpful and explained everything to me well. There was an issue towards the end in which somehow, my splash guard got caught on the lift when they were pulling the car out, and it broke. Brenda told me they were going to order a new one and do the replacement free of charge, and I was so grateful that the stressful situation turned out okay. I was able to go in the next week and get that fixed in 20 minutes. read more

I realize many businesses are understaffed and employees are underpaid, but that's not an excuse to mistreat customers. Bridgestone Corporate instructed me to call this location for work that was fully covered under warranty contract. I spoke with Tommy, who tried to give me the run around because I'm new to the area and hadn't been to this location before. He said I hadn't spent enough money at his shop to qualify for the warranty, despite being fully pre-approved for the work by their corporate office. Tommy told me to go to another auto shop. I can't understand how they can treat customers like this. I ended up going to a different Firestone and had a completely positive experience there; which proves it can be done! read more

Pluses: they are open on Sundays, they also have women working on the cars, decent waiting area Minuses: they charge two times others do to plug a tire, they underestimate the time to wait even with an appointment. They were here when I needed but I have had other tires plugged for half the price. They add a lot of filler items others don't charge for. Use in a pinch but go somewhere else if you can. read more

My service was a 4 wheel tire replacement on a honda fit. On the first visit i had an appointment at 12pm. They sait it would be done in "a couple hours". Two hours later they hadn't started. I had to leave so they said i could have the first appointment tomorrow at 7:30. So the next day I arrived at 7:30 am to a dark store and waited 30 minutes for the first employee to arrive. wtf? They finally finished at 11. 5 hours of waiting to replace 4 tires on a honda fit. Awful. I've been there before for new tires but won't be back. read more

I arrived frantically in the morning my tire was running flat. I walked into the lobby was not greeted by so Tony the general manager, who was very unhelpful did not want to find any sort of solution for me as I was clearly upset and trying to just put my spare tire on, As a woman I should learn how to do it myself, but I put my trust into the experts who should not even hold a managing position such as Tony , when they do not know how to help someone in need thankfully Paul was amazing. I walked out the lobby and decided to speak to the technicians myself who was with no hesitation, and changed my tire to the spare with a big smile on his face. I am so grateful for Paul and Tony can go find a different career path as he clearly does not like helping others or doing maintenance on cars. Again Paul was my saving grace and Paul deserves everything people like Paul make the world go round and I wish everyone was a bit more kind when it comes to those in need. Brought my car in to check out a squeaking that was happening when I pressed the gas. I was later called with a diagnosis and price and time to pick up the car. I walked an hour to pick up the car, got there and waiting 2 hours to be told they needed a different part to fix the squeaking for another $250 and it would be another hour and a half. So what am I paying for with the original diagnosis? No idea. Very shady and feels like a bait and switch. read more

The mechanics here are either not very careful or complete scam artists. This location has done several repairs for us on our car and each one has either been done wrong or not done at all -- though we have been charged at a premium for it. When they changed out our cabin filter, they left 2 screwdrivers in the glove compartment and didn't reconnect the glove compartment arm, which caused it to fall open instead of easing it down. They also called us once we got home to tell us that they'd given us someone else's paperwork and that they had undercharged us and needed to charge us more for the repair. Another time we went in to get our battery checked and they came back and said it was fine and that the battery connector just had some corrosion on and that they would just clean the corrosion off for us (they charged us for it but apparently never did it). A few months later our car dies twice and needs to get a jump. So, my husband looks under the hood at the battery and sees the same corrosion in the connector. At this point, I'm suspicious that they may never have cleaned that connector off but my husband gives them the benefit of the doubt and says that he thinks it may be just picked that corrosion up again since we last took it in. Two months ago, we took the car in to get a brake job and were told we needed new rotors (even though we'd had this car thoroughly inspected in April when we purchased it and everything was fine). We get the work done and my husband keeps complaining about a squeaking sound any time the brakes are applied at slow speeds. (*We think this is just maybe new brakes settling as we were warned there may be a few sounds as the brakes "settled in.") Then last month, we took the car in for a flat tire to get a replacement. They told us we needed 4 new tires and that our alignment was off, so we had the work done and paid a pretty penny for them to do an alignment. BUT a day later, my husband notices that at speeds of around 60 mph, the car has a slight tremor. We took the car back in today to get the battery checked again (thinking that we may need a new one) and to have the alignment checked again because of the tremor he was feeling at 60mph. AGAIN they tell us the battery tests fine but that there is corrosion on the connector. Then, they tell us that the alignment problem is due to our rotors that need replacing because they are "scored." We then remind them that they just replaced our rotors a couple months ago. They tell us our alignment is off--we remind them that we just had our alignment done by them. I was fuming. I told them this was ridiculous and didn't seem right, that I was definitely feeling scammed. The young man on the phone said he understood and he would have them recheck everything and try to find out why this would be happening. We asked him to loop in another employee named John, who had helped us each time we had come before. He said he would call us back once they knew something. We also told him that the corrosion seemed to be recurring on the battery as well and that we'd like new connectors to be put on and they agreed. We ask about the warranty for our rotors in case they insist that we still need to have it done. They say that "Yes, they would have a warranty on that." An hour later, we get a call from John who tells us that our car is ready for pick-up and "Oh good news!" that he went out and looked at the rotors himself and felt them and it looks like it's NOT really scoring on our rotors after all, just some coloring left on them, probably from the new brake pads. Oh! And that alignment issue, that must have been due to their old equipment that they have a new wheel balancer now and that he had it realigned and then drove it himself on the freeway and it drove just fine. My husband picked the car up tonight and on the drive back home on the freeway experienced the same tremor at speeds at 60mph. So when he got home he looked under the hood to see if the new battery connectors were in place and NOT ONLY did they NOT replace the connectors when they told us they did and charged us for that service but they didn't even bother to clean the corrosion off the connector. UPDATE: We took our car to the Happy Valley location where they not only helped us by taking care of the corroded connector but they also inspected all of the other work that has been done to make sure we would be safe driving the vehicle and they rebalanced the tires (3 of them were completely off after supposedly having them done twice that the Portland location!!!) My advice, drive to the Happy Valley location and save yourself the headache. read more

Changing my review to 1 star. This location has done 1 good thing. Finding out a part was still in warranty (saved me $$). And 3 bad things. 1. Did not charge my battery I had brought in and left with them all day. Either they hooked it up wrong, or the charger was set to "maintenance", which is a super slow charge mostly designed for off season storage. 2. Did not look at the automatic brake adjustment when doing a brake inspection, despite me saying that was what I was most concerned about. 3. Failed to fix a flat of a tire I brought in, but charged me anyway. I discovered it still had a leak a few hours later after they were closed. Not at all helpful the next morning.
