DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Took my 350z with a very specific set of instruction, and asked for the 21.99 car walkaround because of some very weird wheel wobble I was having; just to see if there was something obvious. The owner was speaking to me like I was dumb, and called me, little buddy even though I am grown 22-year-old man. Anyways, they wanted to tell me that I absolutely needed to replace both front wheel bearings, took it to a different location. Turns out the whole time I was missing two lug nuts. They didn't even bother to see that. WHICH IS WHY NOBODY SHOULD COME HERE, OWNER IS AWFUL, techs are prob middle school students!! I was charged 500 dollars to run a test on my engine to see why it blew white smoke. I was told that it was my head gasket and I needed $6000 in repairs. Head gasket etc. I chose to take the vehicle somewhere else and all I had wrong was a bad thermostat..Its sad that you people are so money hungry and shady, I have never had a good experience with this establishment. The location at Regency is convenient too! With the mall right there, you can shop a bit til your car is ready. We went over to Panera, had a bite to eat, and within a short time, our car was done! The guy that wrote up our order was a bit spacey and reeked of smoke, but he explained our options and led us to the best tires for my vehicle and with our coupon, we got a fantastic price! I was so pleased and happy that I go my car inspected today. Having anxiety I let my inspection expire for 9 months, because everywhere I called or went to couldn't do the inspection even if I sat there, it was completed. I am going to document the issue with this Firestone shop to make sure if something happens to my car during my trip next week, I can trace back the responsibility to this shop. I have been customer of this shop for a good 10 years or more.. In the past, this shop consistently and professionally delivered services along with great customer service. However, their quality of service has greatly reduced lately if there is any left. This is not my first incident with the shop in the last few months but this one is most serious, in my opinion. I brought my car for a total vehicle inspection to make sure my car is okay for my long trip next week. I have left my car in the shop instead of waiting to make sure it is thoroughly inspected. When I get my car back, I received a "report" that I am not sure how to really interpret: 1) The report said my windshield was cracked (?) and the vehicle has warning lights (?) and missing components (?). I was really confused as they were fine and have asked the front desk to check in with the technician and he came back with the explanation that the checkmark was for all the cars inspected ??? 2)From the report, except the section for tire and tire maintenance, none of the items were filled in but I was told they were "fine" (?) and the technician just did not check them off (??). I feel like this was not acceptable as I brought my car there and paid for the inspection but they took the job lightly and have really violated my trust. By not thoroughly checking what were supposed to check (they called it "Total" vehicle inspection), they were putting their customers' safety at risk. Being busy is not an excuse as they should have total control of how many customers to take. 3) I also have asked them to check my alignment and again, I was told it was checked and has "no problem" but, you might have guessed it right, their printer was "not working" and could not provide me with the print out?? Their advertized "life time realignment" seemed to be a good deal in theory but, in reality, they "checked and it was fine, so no realignment needed" although I did tell them my van did lean a bit to the left when I drive. Well, who cares? They were not the ones who drive the car.. I believe it is not a very responsible way to do business. If there is no time to check it, it is better to be honest to customers. I am really disappointed as there did not seem to have anyone doing QA after the job was completed as the report I received was clearly unacceptable. If I could attach the report here, I would. What was amazing was with all those events happening, the manager was no where to be seen and no apologies was given! This was what happened to me during my last visit. Scheduled an appointment on line as "other" due to engine light on, for 7 days out. Received an emailed appointment confirmation with reservation number, that stated I would receive a phone call if there was an issue with the appointment. Never received a call from Firestone, so I called to confirm and was told that you can't schedule any diagnostics appointments, that you can only drop the vehicle off Mon-Friday, diagnostic technicians not always on schedule, and it could be hours before my vehicle is looked at even if I dropped it off. Thank goodness I was able to find more professional service elsewhere. read more

I have used various Firestones over the years and would stop using them when seemingly inevitably they did something shady. I have been using the Parham Road Firestone for a number of years and found that they rarely recommended something that I did not need. They told me I needed to have all 4 brakes replaced. I went ahead and replaced the front brakes myself. They had told me the pads were close to not passing inspection (which I realized was not true when I replaced the front pads). I did not feel like doing the back ones and took it to them. Although I had asked for just brake pad replacement, they also changed the rotors, which I am pretty sure did not need changing because I had pulled the wheel and looked at them. The price for the rotors was also ridiculous. After I left the store and had been gone about 5 minutes, I called and said that I wanted the old rotors because I wanted to measure the rotors to see if they needed to be replaced. They said I could have them and was back at the store in less than 5 minutes. I went in and surprise surprise they told me that the scrap metal guy had been there and picked up the scrap metal including my rotors in the 10 minutes I had been gone. What a coincidence! I had also referred a friend to them that does not know a lot about cars and they kept calling him back while his car was there to suggest additional things he needed (many of which I am confident he did not need). He had gone in to get an alignment and ended up spending several thousand dollars. AVOID! read more

Booked an appointment online at 3:30 pm on a Friday for an 8 am appointment on Saturday. Got up, got ready and showed up. To my surprise, the disheveled employee brought to my attention that the appointment had been cancelled. I should have received and email advising me of the cancellation. Yep, sure did. At 6:47am an hour and 10 minutes before my appoint. My complaint is this. Don't show the damn appointment available online if it isn't actually available. Waste of time. With the technology available today, you can do better than this. Don't wait an hour before to advise the client. Discount tire from here on out! I think I have a slow leak in one of my tires that I purchased from this store a few months ago and made an appointment to come in today at 4pm based on their online scheduling tool. I got the email that stated "If your requested appointment date becomes unavailable, we will contact you directly to discuss rescheduling to a time that's convenient for you." I received no phone call or email. So, I took my car in as planned to have the tire looked at. When I walked in the lady behind the desk told me that they cannot look at the tire today and that the online scheduling tool "isn't that good". She went on to say that she "wished more customers would call corporate and complain" about the online scheduler because it is not that good. I explained to her that I drove 20 minutes to have them look at my tire and she refused saying they do not work on any car past 3pm on Sundays. What a crock! So the tire that I need to have looked at (which may be flat in the morning) will need to wait until tomorrow. Never mind Firestone, I will go to NTB and have them take my business. Just a very frustrating adventure with this business. read more

Worst customer service experience I've had in my 6-8 years with Firestone. This will be the last time I deal with a lackluster performance by the management and staff. I dropped my car off to be taken care of as an on-site drop off Saturday afternoon. To be expected, it would be some time given that their schedule was backed up. Totally makes sense. They'll get it to me when they can. I agree at this point because I know what I can expect. It's a busy shop. They call me and they take care of the secondary reason which I bring my car in which is great to hear. The initial representive failed to annotate my primary reason which was very frustrating and inconveniencing. I ask to be notified upon completion of my car from the manager on site being they're backed and have to put it back through the queue of vehicles, again. They complete my car that afternoon, and fail to contact me. I reach out Monday morning/early afternoon being that I haven't heard anything yet, and I'm then given a warming excuse from the manager. Apparently my car had been ready since yesterday afternoon, and not contacting me again. I'm the bad person at this point to the manager somehow, because I'm frustrated of their poor shop management. I'm asking for my car at a later time than I've expected. This all could've been prevented by simply notifying me appropriately. I go to pick my car up finally, and I find a nail in my tire they fail to point out to me written on a report diagnosis. I have to question the same manager I've had the joy of dealing with the whole time. They go ahead and for the third time bring my car into the garage to be looked at. As I'm typing this I get to grab my keys and say goodbye to this mediocre shop. Lesson of this whole message to the manager/franchisee owner, learn the value of other peoples time and be more reasonable. Other business owners have things to manage as well. read more

I really liked the people and the work they did at this location until the last month. The manager (Bill I think) has been working in the front my last few visits and seemed to be on a mission to be rude, unclear and just really horrible at customer service. I took my car here to have my breaks checked out. They told me that I needed all four breaks and rotors replaced. I had them replace the back breaks only to find out a month later when I took my car elsewhere that the break pads were only 50% used and my rotors were fine. I have been coming to this Firestone since I moved to Virginia in 2009. The staff used to be kind, honest, and always looking for ways to help you save. These past couple years I have brought some cars up here they are the complete opposite. I got my car towed there the other day and after they told me the price for what they wanted to do I decided to get it towed back to my house so another mechanic could fix it for litterly 1/4 of the price Firestone was charging. Thank God the mechanic was with me because there were loose parts all inside the hood of the car, it was nothing like how I left it. If I would have gotten it towed like that I would have lost a lot of expensive parts that they said needed to be replaced. When I told the guy inside I was just getting it towed to work on it at home he looked at me like I was retarded and gave me a huge attitude. He told me there was a $50 look over fee, and like I said before I have brought about 5 or 6 different cars here in the past to be "looked over" and have NEVER EVER been charged $50 for a look over fee! I wouldn't have even minded the fee if he wasn't so extremely rude to me. read more

Came in for a wheel balancing, and alignment with no appointment. Staff were courteous and professional. Dropped the car off in the morning and it was ready by the evening. The vehicle was returned in good condition and it was aligned perfectly. Overall the technicians at this branch seem knowledgeable and competent. My only complaint: their labor rates are a bit pricey (avg. mechanical labor rate for RVA $84.53/hr according to WMABA http://wmaba.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/HD-LABOR-RATE-SURVEY.pdf) , but I'm pleased with their service at this branch and would consider using them for more complex repairs. read more

I consider myself fairly easy going, but this place really pissed me off today. I called two days ago to make an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and cabin filter check. The guy said no problem, shouldn't take more than 60-90 minutes. So I get here at 1pm today for the 1pm appointment and tell the guy I am waiting for the car and please complete the work as soon as possible because I need to get back to work. I ask at 2pm what the status of my car is and the guy said "The technician is just bringing it back". So, I ask why? and he said, well your "complete time" in the computer says 3pm so we go by complete time around here. WTF?? Then the guy starts to argue with me about what was said when I dropped the vehicle off. I explain that I've been waiting for the vehicle since I dropped it off at 1pm FOR A 1PM APPOINTMENT and specifically asked that it be done as soon as possible. There was never any apology, no attempt at conciliation. Only attitude and indignation. I loved the Firestone in Fredericksburg. Some of the best service I've ever experienced. This place has ruined that. I'll never bring any of my vehicles to a Firestone again after today. read more

This used to be my first and only car maintenance place. Even after I moved to northern VA, I made special trips to Richmond to get the big things done at this Firestone. Never again. I had an appointment at 8AM for my 60K mile, since they don't allow you to make an appt for a state inspection I had to add that when I checked the car in. The gentleman at intake informed me that the inspection may not get done until Monday and would I be willing to leave my car with them until Monday for that. What he didn't mention is that now all my car's work wouldn't be started until Monday. It's one thing to wait on a state inspection on a Monday morning but quite another to have to wait on both a 60k mile and an inspection. When I made the appt originally I was informed that the 60k mile could take half the day, as that gentleman on the phone was warning me not to plan to wait for my car. At 2pm I went to the mall w my mom and saw my car still sitting in the same place so I stopped in and inquired why it hadn't been worked on yet. I walked out with my keys because they weren't going to begin my scheduled 60k mile work up until Monday morning. I was nearly speechless. I will never recommend this place ever again. Today, from the moment I walked in the door until the time I left, it was a pure pleasure. Bill Cuomo greeted me immediately and when I told him that I needed an inspection (and it was now the 28th of the month) plus I had a notification on my car's computer saying I needed a couple of other routine things, I was expecting him to say that they were already booked up and couldn't do it. Didn't happen. He said not to worry, that they'd take care of everything...and he said it all with a welcoming smile. I sat down to wait and about 30 minutes went by and all of a sudden there was Maverick of the service side and telling me they'd done the inspection and would I like my tires rotated since that was one of the things the computer flagged and also 2 filters needed changing. I said oh yes, if they had the time and he, too, said of course he'd do it, and he said it with a smile. About 10 min later, it was all completed, he explained what was done, I paid my bill and said I would be coming to them from now on. They make a customer feel like home and believe me, at my ripe old age, that's a wonderful thing. Thank you, Firestone at Regency! You just added a new customer :D....and that's a smile. Called on Sunday and ended up making an appointment on Monday for two new tires for my car. When I showed up however the man working at the front was unable to find me in the system. Since they were still able to work me in it was less frustrating than it could have been, but seriously? Lost appointments are just not acceptable. It also meant that the information that guy looked up and priced me on Sunday was gone and on Monday I ended up having to go through the computer with the guy and picking out what I needed. About an hour in another guy comes into the waiting area to tell me the tires are done, but I have some problems with my car. I need an alignment and the left axel is "spitting" a little bit of grease. An alignment is $79.99 and the axel repair was $270 roughly. I did not have time to wait for my car, and if I have learned anything from car ownership its when it comes to repairs sometimes it's good to get a second opinion. Telling him I was willing to do the alignment only resulted in the information that I'd have to redo it once the repair to the axel was done. Once I'd made it clear I was not willing to have the repair done that day, he did agree to warranty the alignment so I can get the repair done and not have to pay again. (Shouldn't they have warrantied this anyways?) I got a before and after printout of my alignment and it showed that one tire was still in the red. I'm unclear as to why they would not all be in the green after I pay $80 to have the service done (by a computer). All of this took two hours to complete and they did not top off my coolant like they had indicated they would do. I've been happy with Firestone's service in the past when it just came to tires but I'm not entirely sure about their additional services. I will be calling to inquire about the alignment report and will update my posting again after that. read more

Never bring your car here they over price and lie about stuff your car needs to get repaired when it's not true. They gave me an estimate of $2800 to get my brakes, A/C and power window fixed. Got it fixed at another shop for $600! They told me that I needed a new power window switch for $250 when it was actually just disconnected! My window is working again for 0$. Liars! read more

I changed my brake pads myself 3 weeks prior to taking my car in for a state inspection. When I changed the pads I made two mistakes, first i disconnected the parking brake line on the rear passenger side when I didn't need to, second when I reattached the parking brake line initially I didn't torque the bolt down enough and had a slow brake fluid leak which did set off my brake fluid level sensor in the reservoir, I torqued the bolt down fully and topped off the reservoir and monitored the level over the following three weeks prior to taking it in for the inspection with NO change in the level. Apparently I should've cleaned the area around the caliper to remove the previously leaked fluid as they tried to tell me that there was a leak and they recommended replacing not just the rear passenger side caliper but the driver side for no reason and quoted me $600, I explained they were merely seeing residual fluid from my mistakes which I had already corrected and monitored for 3 weeks prior. They argued with me, I asked what it would cost to just replace the passenger side and they said $400, I told them to slap a rejection sticker on my car, I'll clean the caliper and take it elsewhere and never return. read more

The older guy at the desk is borderline rude, I can't tell if he is trying to be friendly and failing or mocking me. He doesn't answer questions thoroughly and will allow other people to but in and interrupt him while he is helping me. At one point he was getting my paper work and keys together. He printed some stuff out, placed my keys on top, and then another guy walked up and asked a question. He just walked away and out a side door and left me standing with the paperwork and my keys in front of me. I had already paid and had no idea if I was done or not. Well I stayed to be sure, and he in fact wasn't done. He found my paperwork missing some serial numbers and he had to fill it in. Good thing I stayed. The other guy was nice and answered my questions, when I dropped off my car and called him. The prices are good, and the guys seem honest. Brought my car in to have the A/C charged. They told me my compressor was bad, which I knew it wasn't. Thankfully, I knew better, but it would have been an expensive repair. When my car died soon after, I took it elsewhere. I was told that Firestone failed to reconnect a wire, causing my battery to drain. Never again. read more

Took my truck to Firestone in Richmond, In. Talked with the staff about the kind of tires I wanted, and I was informed that the tires I wanted would need to be ordered. I was told the tires would be there the following day and to arrive at 8 O'clock am, when I arrived the next morning the service associate proceeded to put the tires on my truck, I was never asked if I wanted to see the tires to insure they were the correct tires they just put them on, they put the white letters to the back (after paying extra money for the lettering) and the lettering is the wrong size. When I asked about this I was told I could not get the size of lettering on my size of tires...this was not told prior to placing the order!!! Also, the technicians left black hand prints all over my truck this place is a joke and A complete waste of time and money!!!! The worst part is NO ONE ever apologize for any of it. read more
