This is a good auto repair facility. I have brought my 2009 Chevy Malibu and 2014 Equinox here a lot. They squeeze me in if I don't have an appointment which really helps in a pinch. I strongly recommend the Firestone Fire Hawk tires. I've had them on my Malibu and have gotten 55,000 miles on them. That's never happened to me before with any tire. I recently visited the Firestone Complete Auto Care on Mid Rivers Mall Drive for an auto repair including loose steering and an accelerator issue. Before I visited I told them about both issues, as I gone by auto zone the day before. Firestone said they would check it out to a greater degree. So, when I got there, Firestone said maybe it was the battery, I said OK? After that they said; it was the alternator, too. I said; that is what Auto Zone was saying. The technician did NOT explain what they did in relation to ALL the concerns, even though they are an NAPA Auto Care center, with ASE-certified technicians. BUT, when I asked them about all the loose steering, They accused me of never mentioning it before. I suggested they take it for a drive; it was not a hidden issue. While in the waiting area, a number of people were returning for issues that were not fully repaired. So, I left that day and drove it home with a rumbling noise and loose steering. I went back the next day, BUT when I tried to hold them into account for the repair, they would have nothing to do with it. Going to Firestone was a BAD experience. If my truck can make it here, this is where I go. Period. Mark and the guys ALWAYS do right by me here. I've never once felt like they were going to swindle me, nor were they ever dismissive of me or any of the other customers. They always make sure to get any discounts and rebates and take the extra time to make sure it's not only done quickly, but done right the first time. I had a bad day, blew a tire on my way to finals. After, I took it in the afternoon expecting to pay $200 for a tire. Nowhere near that. And they got me out in 45 minutes. Brought my wife's car in for maintenance. They destroyed the cap to get to the oil and then said everything was FINE and it didnt need a change. After I left the maintenance light was still on though and when I took it to another shop a couple months later they showed me that the cap was actually totally destroyed and had to replace it. I do not recommend this place. Go to anywhere else. (I personally now only go to discount tire and service by Santiagos). read more

Didn't end up servicing my car, but totally impressed by staff and quality of this store. Took my SUV in with a couple of nails in tire. A tech seemed eager to help me right away after the manager opened the store with warm greetings to the few customers like myself w/car troubles. The tech walked out to my vehicle, looked at the tire closely, made a quick analysis w/reasonable expectations, and was apologetic yet honest about needing to have it dropped off due to workload. I couldn't, so he immediately called the next closest store for a better time (which ultimately did the job, but all I could think was "I wish I could have gotten it fixed at this place instead" Super friendly and professional, would go out of my way to return. Please do your due diligence on whatever repair you are having these guys do... Had my car all day, for an alignment. To be fair I had recently replace the shocks, struts and tie rods both inner and outer so it needed to get aligned. My car (a.k.a. "deer slayer") was trying to go four different ways going down a one way street. I let the guy know at the desk the alignment was whack because of the recent repairs, no problem we'll have it ready by close of business (c.o.b.). Now I guess I could have had them do all the work I did myself, but I already got a quote of over $600 dollars from the Firestone over on Cave Springs...just to replace the two rear shocks. My rear shocks, name brand cost $68 dollars, and a couple hours of my time... done. Anyway back to these experts.. I drop my car off at around 0800hrs and haven't heard back from them and it's around 1330 now so I call... not finished but they'll have it ready by c.o.b. Ok they call back two hours later... guy tells me my car is ready to pick up, "BUT" the camber on the driver front tire was way off and couldn't be adjusted because it was put in wrong or is the wrong part. HAHAHA you have to be an idiot, I'm thinking...ok I'll play, so the guy is going to look up the parts and cost to fix while I am on my way to look at the sorriest excuse I have ever heard come out of someone's mouth. Get there, the guy at the desk show's me the print off, yep camber is off (tire is tilted) they got all four wheels pointed the same direction for the most part, but the back hasn't changed in the before and after readings. Guy at the desk says the strut was put in wrong or is wrong part, I said well there are 5 bolts, three at the top and two in the bottom and only one way for it to fit.. so B.S., it's the correct part number and the name brand they carry. He also provided me an estimate that was for $590 for the same front two struts on the car (buyer beware). He gets the "Technician" for me to explain... I ask the guy, you couldn't adjust the camber or it wouldn't adjust... He beats around the bush but eventually tells me that he hasn't been doing alignments that long and basically didn't have a clue, I move to the rear end alignment that hasn't changed. The guy tells me that he looked up how to adjust it and it required an 18mm socket. Then he gave me the excuse that while he was attempting to adjust the rear end alignment the socket fell off behind my gas tank and he didn't have another one???? I asked him if they only had one 18 mm socket in the whole shop, he said no the other guy had one but he was afraid he would lose his too... Good thing I bought the life time alignment from them, it didn't cost anything other than the wasted time I spent dealing with incompetency. The scary thing about the whole ordeal is to think that there are people who get charged for work that isn't done correctly. I have had Firestone adjust the alignment on the same vehicle several times now, super alarming is that I noticed that outer tie rod ends were rusted so tightly, that penetrating oil and a torch didn't loosen them and I had to eventually cut them off. Meaning the experts never thought to grease them at any point during the time they supposedly adjusted my alignments. Bad experience here.... We have used this Firestone location for many years on several cars. They are professional, honest, and offer great customer service.

Timeline: 08/26: Left Jeep Patriot in the am. Was informed later in the day they could not get in that day. Left it overnight. 08/27: Got a call at the end of the day. Tech stated alignment could not be done due to ball joints. They needed another tech to look at. I did not do an inspection myself but took Tech at his word 09/01: Car dropped off. Tech confirmed ball joints needed to be replaced before alignment. Quote for parts and labor 292.58. Decided to do it myself. Right and Left control arms/Ball Joints parts 110.00. While installing, realized ball joints were in fact good. Did not think much of it. 11/12: Went online and scheduled an appointment for 2 new tires and alignment. The appointment was for 8 am. I ended up dropping it off at 5 am and used a different vehicle. Secretary called at 1 pm to verify progress. She was informed it hasn't been worked on due to the key not being in the correct location in the drop box? (I was informed in my later call that this was my fault?) She was informed the records from the previous visit noted the ball joints and tie rod ends needed to be fixed before the alignment could be performed but that the tires would be put on before the end of the day. I decided to call myself so I could better understand the situation. Tech informed me the Tie Rods needed to be replaced. I told him it was recommended, but was not the reason they rejected service on the alignment (verified via invoices). Tech then informed me I needed different tires due to size mismatch. Despite the price difference, bad weather was coming and I needed tires and alignment so I agreed to the tires. 11/13/18 Our first major snowfall occurred the previous day. Drove slow on the highway into work due to possible ice on the roads. Jeep was still all over the place. I figured it was due to road conditions. Left the office at 4ish. While on highway 64 the Jeep was again all over the place and I almost hit another driver. The roads were in excellent condition at this point and no reduction in highway speed was needed. I pulled over to do a visual inspection of my Jeep. Nothing looked out of place or any tire issues. I called Firestone and was informed the alignment was not done. I asked why, and why I was not informed. The only reason I bought the more expensive tires was due to needing them for the alignment. I was informed it was again the tie rods. In a calm but stern voice, I informed the Tech of my dissatisfaction with my service. I also brought up the ball joint which Firestone wanted to charge me 292.58 were not bad and could have easily gone another 10k miles. The response from the tech was, "oh." The Tech put me on hold. When he came back he informed me of the issue with the Tie Rods was actually a loose nut on the ball stud (driver side). I asked why it was not tightened (takes 2 seconds to do). The Tech told me they were not authorized to do so? Being disturbed that Firestone wanted to charge me for both Ball Joints and Tie Rod ends that in fact were not bad (parts and labor = 615.76), I asked for the corporate number so I could file a complaint. The Tech told me he did not know. He said it's on the back of my invoices. I called the Corporate Office and talked to Megan, case# 2336682. She was very nice and helpful if I get a survey she will get high marks. I told her what had happened which after our conversation she summarized. I was told this would be sent right up to the district manager. I jacked up the Jeep in my garage and tightened the bolt. It was only 2 thread marks from the other one. Went online to schedule an appointment. Confirmation was received and my Jeep will be dropped off in the morning. 11/14/18: The Jeep was worked on in the A.M. They were called by my girlfriend to let them know to put the keys in the Jeep since I would not be there before close. The invoice said the alignment was done but was off a bit due to a shifted Sub Frame. Also, it stated the right inner Tie Rod is slightly bent. I have not jacked up the Jeep to verify. It is a very uneasy feeling when every time they touch the vehicle, something else needs to be done. 11/15/18 I called the corporate number back to follow up about my complaint (#2336682). I talked to I believe Casey, she was nice. She told me I should have received a call. She said she would escalate it, but it will be another 24 to 48 hours for a response. I told her I typed up the incident and would like to send it in for review for the call. She informed me she did not have that information. I told her it wasn't a big deal; I can send it in once I talk to someone. I called the Jeep dealership to set up an appointment to look over Jeep. After my experience, I have a strange feeling someone might have done something to retaliate. Talked to David. I told him the experience I had with Firestone. He responds, "that's Firestone for you." I normally do not review companies but I thought I should share my experience. I bought my tires at Firestone and took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. Tire rotation is free if you buy your tires at firestone. It had been 10,000 miles since I rotated the tires since I missed it on my last oil change. The front end must have gone out of alignment and the front tires wore on the insides. The inside of the tires were worn down to base rubber. I wanted to get them rotated to the back. The back tires looked new still and I needed a couple of weeks till I had money to replace the worn tires. The St. Peter's Firestone would not rotate my tires because they showed base rubber on the sides. When I asked why they said for safety reasons. I asked them if they were concerned about a possible blow out ( the tires were not that bad) wouldn't it be better to have a blow out with the tires on the back instead of the front. They said yes but they still couldn't rotate. I know they wanted to sell me new tires but if they would have rotated I would have bought them from Firestone in a couple of weeks. So I rotated myself that day and two weeks later got a alignment and new tires from Plaza Tire. So if Firestone would have just had some customer flexibility I would still be doing business with them. My suggestion is to skip Firestone and find a vendor that is concerned about their customers.
