After the young woman, Ally,** adjusted the tire pressure I was so appreciative and despite her initial decline for a tip I insisted she take the $10 tip and get lunch on me. So she accepted as to not hurt my feelings. . So, while pulling out of the "bay" something under my car was caught on curb surrounding the underground work area. I became extremely concerned but the young lady saw what was going on and instructed me to pull forward while she freed up the piece of rain shield that was covering my radiator, which was hanging down significantly enough that the three workers, with my vehicles best interest in mind, asked if I would mind waiting while they finished up another customer so that they could all get a better look and of course I was more than willing to wait. Turned out that the shield hanging off could have actually punctured my radiator and with my permission. They all 3 people (OT, ABBY, and one other younger gentleman)worked to dissembled the shield. that was a surprise to us all, considering it was coming off the car in that way however it was difficult to completely remove. So without them taking it off, no telling how much damage under my car would have been done if it was RIPPED OFF while driving. or said The 3-4 foot long 2ft wide HEAVILY DAMAGED piece of plastic most likely would have punctured the radiator sooner than later. I would not have needed an oil change or repair that would have discovered what JIFFY LUBE mechanics were vigilant and caring enough to identify, suggest I stay there until they investigate, and ultimately resolve a potential hazard to myself, other motorists and an extremely expensive repair had it punctured the radiator or god knows what else! The people and the quality of work, couldn't be ANY BETTER. THEY CHARGED ME NOTHING! I had tears in my eyes because THAT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN FIND OFTEN THESE DAYS. Good people doing quality work and doing it with compassion and honesty. I'll be taking my vehicle here from now on for all routine maintenance. Great job you 3. (Sorry I butchered names) but management, Please acknowledge the three workers on the day I mentioned above. They are examples of what our world needs, and you are lucky to have them in your shop! The entire team is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is truly the best business in Fairview Heights, Illinois, and it has officially become my go‑to place for all my car needs. While I was there, I overheard another customer complimenting an employee--Cody--on his great work and friendliness, which matched my own experience. Two years ago I had Len's Auto Repair replace a coil on the back valve cover. The mechanic doing…read morethe work dropped my aluminum intake manifold and broke a corner off. They told me they were locating a used one and found one in Kentucky. Called and said vehicle was repaired and ready. Wasn't until a while later I realized they had only JB Welded the corner back onto intake and not replaced it. No issues or check engine lights so I let it be. Fast forward two years and I have an oil leak on back valve cover. I went in to get an estimate and told them, by the way, when you did the repair two years ago and YOUR employee dropped and broke it you didn't replace the intake like you said. The estimate was $973 and I said I'll do it myself. When I removed the intake the corner piece was separated from the intake. ( I JB didn't last) I took it to the shop and showed them and said all I should do is grind off old JB Weld and reapply some. I said can't you do it for me since YOUR mechanic broke it. Again, they said all I had to really do was clean it up and put some more JB on it. Once again, I said well I think you should do it since you broke it and he said well it would be a week or two because I have mechanics on vacation and etc. etc.. I just shook my head and walked out. I will never give this place anymore business and I will spread the word to all my friends and family. I advise anyone else to do the same!
