Long story short, I went in for a coolant leak for my 2015 Suburu on 12/23. I replaced water pump, hoses, thermostat, belt myself thinking that was the problem. Still leaking, so I took in for a diagnosis and 1st response back was bad water pump. I explained to the tech that it was just replaced. I went in and looked at it with tech and he put on the pressure tester. I found the leak under the ac compressor, a cracked pcv valve, in which he replied "I didn't even look there". Cool, lets get that fixed, but apparently no parts available, an "OEM" part. By then it was Christmas eve, so I called back saying I need my car, still Xmas shopping, I will bring it back after Xmas. I picked it up and drove it 20 + miles until I realized that they did not reinstall the fasteners holding up the bottom engine protection panel. I had to pull over on the highway shoulder and zip tie it up. Went back in and they reinstalled over 15 fasteners, and there was damage due to negligence. I have receipts and pictures, Cancelling my Firestone account, avoid this place. read more

I've been trying to get my Sticker done for months here. Let's just say, they're inefficient, expensive, and really slow. They'll tell you an oil change will take 5-6 hours even if you call ahead and it's slow, and then when they tell you to come by 6pm, you'll get there and wait an additional hour when you could've used that time elsewhere. Went to get a patch on a tire, ended up leaving with 3 new tire pressure monitors and brake fluid exchange. I called discount tire because they wanted me to pay $150 for each TPMS sensor, Discount tire quoted me $65 for each with $10 of labor to replace / service them. Once I told Firestone, they immediately changed their tune and told me they would help me out with $75 for each TPMS. As they were servicing my car, they called to tell me that my brake fluid was bad & they could help me out for $80 instead of the usual $100. It sounded like a good deal and I haven't change my brake fluid. Originally quoted 1.5-2 hrs for the service. It's been 2.5-3 hrs & I'm beginning to lose my mind. While waiting for my truck to be returned, I was told my truck battery is no good no more and they had to jump start it for it to get to work. I've never had issues with my battery. All in all, they try to upsell you & overprice services that can be received elsewhere for better prices. If I left with a new battery, I would have paid around $800 after just coming here for a patch. Also, check your fees because I was told "all in $75 for the TPMS" and then he starts telling me about shop fee, service fees which add more unsaid expenses to the service. Waited for two hours to get a tire looked at. I got there at 1130 and left at 130pm after I was told that my vehicle tire couldn't be looked at because there was no time. Unfortunately I wasted two hours, but a member of the Firestone team could have easily helped me out while I sat there. read more

Hands down , the most disgusting place in San Antonio. One of the workers kept coughing into his hands without washing his hands and not even wearing a mask. The workers are lazy and don't want to get you the help you need. worker told me that the machine wasn't working so I can take my car and leave. Overall wait has been 2 hours for a vehicle inspection and barely anyone in line ahead of me. There was a roach and countless other bugs on the ground in the waiting room. Floor had food crumbs and the seats were all filthy and stained. The bathroom was full of dirt , bodily fluids everywhere as if it had never been cleaned before. This location reflects very badly on the company. There are local hole in the wall mechanics and repair shops that look better than this and serve customers better. Before going to get my car checked, I called to see if they allow walk-ins or to make an appointment. Due to COVID, I didn't know what the protocol is. When I called my call went through but my call kept getting hung up. That happened a few times so I just stopped. I went into town (I live out in the country). I did go to the location since my inspection sticker is going to expire. I got in line and waited my turn. Once my turn came up, there was an older gentleman calling the next person, as I walked up he kept calling "next" while I stood literally in front of him while he looked at the person behind me, in which she politely replied that I am next. So he asks what I need and I just need an inspection. He ask for my info, I get my policy number from my insurance and he writes the info down. He asks me for my car info, I tell him that I cannot recall the type of engine but I'll get my car insurance info from the app since all my information is there. It didn't help that I couldn't access my info since my phone opens via face recognition and I kept trying to type my password but for some divine reason it was giving me a hard time. I finally logged in and the gentlemen made a comment implying that my info wasn't mine. And that my information does not match my car via VIN. I was confused because I've had this info for a long time and I've never had problems with it in previous inspections. On top of that he said my insurance expired in January which is false because I've been paying for it monthly and I even updated my insurance cards. After that debacle, he informed me that it was going to take an hour and if I have stuff to do to just do this another day. I just told him it's something that needs to be done and I don't mind the wait. He then tells me to take a seat if I find one and calls the next person. He was being rude and very adamant that my information was wrong. After 15 minutes, my car was ready. I was very relieved that I didn't have to speak to older gentlemen that checked me in. I spoke with another tech who was beyond friendly and polite. That man is the reason why this place got 3 stars. There is an older man in the front that checks people in, I'd avoid him, if possible. This place literally never has staff to help with just minor thing. Checking tires takes them hours to figure out the issue, place is dirty all the time, only one ot two techs in the back shop and they all look like they dont want to be there any more. read more

I called and set a reservation to get rental tire fixed, it has a nail in it, and they want me to drop off the rental at 8am and pick it up at about 1pm...that's ridiculous 5hrs to fix a tire when they clearly have nobody in line it's 8am there's no one in line there. read more

I would rate it zero stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 10am. I showed up on that day 20 minutes before 10 and checked in. They took my key and mentioned nothing else to me. An hour and a half later I walked outside and my car was still sitting in the same spot. Conveniently they were ready to take my car back as soon as I was complaining. I left and received no apology or explanation other than, "everyone else is waiting." I called corporate number and was told I would get a callback from area manager, three days and no callback. Called again and now I am waiting for the district manager to call. Yet another Firestone location with poor service. I don't know what's worse - the manager arguing with his employees or the fact that I'm quoted an 1 1/2 hours and I'm here going on 3 1/2 hours. This is absolutely ridiculous and the fact that we pay for this services and treated like crap is even more ridiculous. If you can shop anywhere else I'd do so, don't waste your time here at this location or the location on San Pedro. I will ensure our corporate headquarters doesn't work or do business with Firestone ever again. These employees are working super slow and arguing with one another in front of customers, I know if we did this in the restaurants we would be fired. read more

Disappointed. I'm a regular card holder and schedule all my routine visits. New to this location, I would say my second or third visit at this specific location. This is my second time I have walked out of work in about 15 years and found my tires really low/ flat. I'm about 2 minutes away making the location on military my closest stop. After a long work day and observing both my tires flat I air them enough to make it here. First time several years ago they took almost two hours. They said my tires were fine and they aired them. Ok two hours to tell me nothing is wrong. Here I am for the second time and going on my second hour. I've been a loyal customer and I know the importance of fitting someone in. That is why I always schedule and don't walk in. It clearly isn't my fault as if I said hey tires I don't want to go home at all today please be flat when I get out of work. I'm just being told my car will be looked at. It would really matter if the company showed some appreciation for its Loyal customers during an emergency like this when a female like me only uses the Company for my lack of knowledge about vehicles and with a low profile vehicle I don't have much of a choice but to bring it into my regular place of tire purchase. I add on the extra fees to my tires for something like this and would appreciate a quicker response time. Unfortunately my vehicle does not do well with a spare. Please make a person on site available for these type of events. It's already been a bad day and dealing with having to wait this long is ridiculous. Took my vehicle there for tire balance and rotation. They ended up over inflating my tires didn't do the tire rotation correctly and when I was driving on the highway my steering wheel was shaking like a sex toy ..... bad tire balance as well. Took my vehicle back a couple days later this guy Giovanni who I saw a few days prior give me a bunch of attitude was smirking shaking his head like I was the problem CUSTOMER on all I wanted them was to work on the car correctly the first time I actually had to have him call his manager so he can do the work again. He didn't wanna take any notes on how I wanted to rotation to be done because he didn't do it right the first time and i ending up having to record this guy because I couldn't believe his attitude and what he was doing was crazy. I had a scheduled appointment for 10am today. My appointment was for some maintenance on my 2009 Chevy Pick Up. The Tech at the front desk told me that it would take about an Hour for the required inspection on my truck. My truck was in the work area with the hood up for three hours and the inspection was never accomplished. I felt that I was ignored and only when I ask about my truck did someone talk to me. Went there on friday to have truck inspected for needed repairs so I could drop it off on Sat morning after repairs approved threw company and because I do not get paid for time spent in waiting room. Instead they began doing repairs I did not authorize because they knew the company would pay for. Once I found out what they were up to I stopped them but by then they had already done 5 tires and oil change, but the damage was done I had lost 3.5 hrs of work, was late to an emergency call almost causing loss of cell service to many of you people and I still had to go back on Monday to have all the tires turned around because they failed to put white walls out as I had specified, losing another 1.5hrs. and now my low tire sensor system light is on that I will need repaired... ( NOT THERE) It's clear this this company tries to skin there customers however they should know you can skin a sheep once but can fleece a sheep for life. There desire to make what they can when they can as it comes cost them repeat business and a lot more profit then they realize. But guess it's partly my fault for not reading the reviews b4 I went there. but it's not something me or my fellow employees will soon forget. read more
