Had my brakes and rotors done before our vacation to anaheim. Next day almost there, my brakes locked up. A bolt fell out and locked up while on the freeway. Scary as hell! After 4 hours of being towed twice and taking a cab to the hotel, we finally got to the hotel. I was praying nothing bad happened because of this. Firestone in anahiem fixed me up the next day. Because of this problem, we lost a day of vacation. We weren't very happy about this.I contacted firestone in san diego where i had them done originally, they were very sorry. After getting back, we went to firestone in san diego. They were very apologetic and willing to compensate us for our lost time and cab fares. So, yes what happened was bad. But, to be truthful, things happen. Firestone in both anahiem and san diego where very helpful. San diego made up for what happened. I just want them to be careful so that this doesn't happen again. I've never had a problem with them before. They are all very nice. They even know me by name, that's how often i've been there the last couple years trying to fix up my used truck. Excellent service and expedient. I brought my baby, I mean my car here last week after waiting about 14,000 miles too late to get my tires rotated (should be done every 6k miles but I waited for my car to hit 20k... Oops) My car started shaking when I would break and I realized procrastination probably wasn't the best thing for her to I came in. This location is about a block from my house and I still was too lazy to just walk home. So I got the lifetime tire rotation package because it is an excellent deal. It is $200 and you can come in as many times as you would like. The regular rotation costs $80 bucks but with the average person driving 6000 miles every 6 months, that $200 would be spent in a year and a half anyways and you would have to continue paying after that, but not with this deal. The speediness of this place is incredible. They told me it could take around 2 hours to complete and I was shocked when I got a phone call in just under an hour. The shakiness was gone and my girl is back to normal!! read more

Took my 4Runner here for a simple inspection to drive for ride share- 2.5 hours later nothing has been done. Why make an appointment if you aren't going to make any progress or do anything to it for 2.5 hours. When I told the guy at the front desk that I had to go to class he retrieved my keys and sent me on my way. Literally it's a simple infection like brakes, windshield, headlights. My inspection check list wasn't even touched. No apology. No reschedule. I will not return. read more

Update: Tire pressure light came on today, went to another shop to check my tires. EVERY TIRE was at 27 psi, last time I filled them myself they were at 41. My oil change and tire pressure was handled about 3-4 weeks ago, whoever handled my vehicle altered my pressure to not only cause more "ware and tear" on my tires but also JEOPARDIZE MY SAFETY while driving. THIS COMPANY will NEVER receive another dime from me EVER AGAIN! P.S- Don't ever underestimate an attractive female for not being car savvy. Original: Made an appointment for an oil change at 8am, came in at 7:50am and gave them the keys, told me an 1:00-1:15 wait; I stayed in the lobby. It's now 9:21am and I asked for an update and they said another 10-15 minutes?! An oil change takes 20 minutes why the hell after waiting this long are they still not done? I'm pretty sure they didn't start. Anyone who takes the time to schedule ahead should not have to wait this long. If the shop has too many vehicles, DON'T ACCEPT APPOINTMENTS. Had an appointment at 10am, girl on the phone said it should take about an hour to rotate and balance my tires . When I got there guy at counter said 2 hours or so. Kind of frustrating that the appointment really meant nothing. So I went to Convoy Firestone, great service. They took my back wheel off and found the cap that covers the center part of the wheel was broken and glued back on. Guess who did my last rotation? I went to Firestone Complete Auto Repair on Friday, May 14, 2021. I had issues with a whining noise when I come to a stop, and also a potential oil leak. They did not address the noise, but advised me of 2 license plate bulbs that were out. The parts for these bulbs cost $6.98, and to my disbelief, the labor cost me $92.40!! It is literally just pulling out the socket from inside the trunk and replacing the bulb. This is definitely price gouging and people need to be aware of this. They did not explain to me the costs for labor on this, otherwise I would've done it myself. I even called another Firestone, and they quoted me $16.99 for the 2 new bulbs and the labor...see the difference here. They couldn't even find my oil leak, after using a dye. Told me to have my engine and undercarriage steam cleaned, and to come back after 800-1000 miles. I don't recomend this place to anyone. Try Value Auto Repair in National City, they will not rip you off, as it is a family owned business. ***Update*** On May 20th, 2021, I received a telephone call from the store manager at Firestone Complete Auto Care in Fashion Valley. He did try to make things right and said there was a "glitch" in their system. He told me that they would refund me the overcharge. Specifically Aaron who was so calm, efficient and helpful in getting a new tire on my car after getting a flat on the freeway with a very short time frame to make it to a work meeting. I was a little frazzled and he even talked me through how to get there best with the construction going on. Truly couldn't recommend them more. Worse ripoff mfers in town. Went in to install Tire Rack tires and after leaving car for 3 hours I got a call and Firestone sales people told me that my car had 4 crossthreaded studs in the wheels, 3 on my right rear! They wanted $600 to fix them before they could mount new tires! I was suspicious of a highly unlikely scenario, car is 3 years old and cared for at the dealer who would have told me about the damage. It was dangerous driving away with 4 wheel nuts sticking out. I drove to Pep Boys and had six of them fixed for $200. I was told by the mechanic there that they were cross threaded on purpose, never seen that problem on one car. Stay away from this crooked shop! Also the 5 star rating are not likely real and many other complaints, should be referred to law enforcement! read more

I have always received great service at this firestone location. The location is busy but you can kill time easily by going to grab lunch at the mall or shop. I don't rate five stars due to the up-sell at the end but I have always taken my truck there for break inspection, tire rotation and oil changes. Their garage is secure and be prepared to leave your car over night, it gets that busy. read more

I have no idea if I really needed to replace all four of my tires. I don't think I did, but Ryan was super nice and stayed over an hour after they closed to help me out so that I didn't have to drive back to LA with bald tires (2 were bald-- 2 seemed fine). I got an oil change, four tires, and an alignment for $500, which I think is pretty good. I have no idea. If it's not, I'll never know. I do know that the service was friendly and fast. read more

This is one of the better Firestone's I've ever been to. The guys here are really nice and helpful. I was taking a last minute road trip and wanted to make sure I wouldn't die on the way. I needed an oil change so I called when they opened to see the best time to come in - even going when they said they were slow I waited an hour and a half for an oil change. I asked them to do a general inspection (tires, brakes, battery, etc). The one thing I really appreciate about this location is they have never forced an upsell, they are honest about what needs to be done but my primary concern was driving to Las Vegas and back in the middle of July, and not having my car explode on the way. So basic oil change and a list of recommendations and I was out the door! PS - do not ever make an online appointment through their site; you will get a call and email from Firestone corporate 3 weeks later telling you the appointment is full. Just call! read more

Ok, I wrote a positive review earlier on until I realized they straight lied to me. I thought the salesman talking to me and my sister was a genuine guy, sincerely trying to take care of our vehicles. After Midas told me my rack and pinion needed repairing, I made the mistake of telling Firestone that's what they told me. They thought they could capitalize on this and told me I would need it fixed and it would be over $1,000. Well, I waited and took my car to a mechanic I know personally and trust. They spent a long time checking the rack and pinion and told me absolutely nothing was wrong with it. Thanks Brandon! Thank God I didn't move forward with that repair at Firestone. read more

They had no seating in the waiting room, so I sat on a bench in the mall. At 12:20 I returned and my car had not been worked on. Took my car here to have new tires installed because Tire Rack (who shipped the tires to them) said they had the best balancing equipment in the area. Made an appointment for the work and showed up on time. Had to wait 40 minutes to drop off the car. No one called me to let me know if the job was finished that day as promised, so I waited until the next day to pick it up. Called ahead to confirm, and upon my return it took another 30 minutes just to pick up the car. The front office staff I dealt with were very pleasant and helpful, there just aren't enough of them. The place didn't appear to be very busy, yet it took them over an hour to handle a routine drop off/pick up, and that was with a scheduled appointment made days in advance. So to whoever owns and/or manages this location, you need to get your front of the house in order. There are 4 sales counters yet you only have 1 person manning them? While I waited this single person had to handle lengthy sales pitches and discussions with customers about which tires to buy, warrantees, service packages, etc. while everyone else with an appointment had to wait in line just to drop off or pick up their car. This makes no sense. I'd give the employee I did deal with 5 stars for calmly doing the best he could in that situation. I'm taking off 3 stars for poor management and wasting over an hour of my time for what should be a routine transaction. . read more

Had a terrible experience here. I made an appointment for 1pm (during my lunch) and was told when I got there that it would take 90 minutes. Not the greatest but I sat down to wait anyway. Over 2 hours go by and I still haven't heard anything or gotten my car back so I went up front to ask when my car would be ready and was told they are running behind and they hadn't even started on my car yet! Now I understand that things happen, but the fact that no one said a word to me and they just let me sit there for 2+ hours without explaining that they're running behind is unacceptable, especially when I had an appointment. They asked if I wanted to reschedule but I said no. I had to leave and go back to work (LATE) without an oil change even after sitting there for over 2 hours. Ridiculous. Came here today with one of my cars thinking it needed tons of help plus a oil change and left a very very satisfied and completely blown away customer with the amazing customer service! Justin took great care of me. Never took advantage of me and went above and beyond with the little details. He noticed my key battery was not working and took care of it at no cost. Just because. Also the issues w my tires could have been a charge and he waived it bc it wasn't done right by the previous mechanic. We also had to come back later the same day with another vehicle bc it had a nail in 3 diff tires! And we called him straight away for help. He got us right in!! I got a flat tire this morning and went to this location. I was the 2nd person in line this morning and when it was my turn I mentioned how I had to get to a meeting in an hour and was inquiring about how long it will take for a tire replacement,.not rushing them at all, just asking! Brandon was my customer service associate and the second i asked my question it was like a flip had been switch and instantly he turned rude and gave me nothing but snarky responses to my questions. He made me feel like I'm not allowed to be in hurry and believe me, I get it. They are busy and can't make promises and most likely will not deliver quick service I GET THAT. What I don't get is his triggered attitude like I'm not allowed to ask a question about the timing. So RUDE and unnecessary, I literally had to tell him to drop his attitude. I've worked in customer service for decades and I've had my share of rude customers, believe me when Isay that I was not a rude customer but I was taken aback by his attitude. Firestone has always been good to me for years but today at this location with this associate will make me second guess this company. Did I mention I started my Monday morning with a flat, late to a meeting and late to drop off my daughter with my in laws? You would think that since it's a well-known company that the service and quality would be good, apparently that is not the case here. When I arrived the guy started asking me questions about the car and the odometer. He wanted to know the exact number. He then said that there was a white line around my flat tire and that I would have to get a new tire. I waited 1 hour for them to change my tire! One tire, when it only takes 10 minutes or so. Not only that but it order for them to change my tire I had to get angry. I went to ask them how long more and the guy starts telling me that there is another problem with the car? How could there be another problem, you are literally changing the new tire!? The minute I raised my voice a little in shock that he was telling me that there was a problem he turned his back on me and started talking to the other worker there ABOUT ME RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and I told him that he should be talking to me as I am right here and I am the client! He then went to the back and kept looking at me as if he wanted to fight me. I could tell he was lying. I went outside to check on the progress and when I spoke to the guy who was working on my car he said "10 minutes" and he did it quickly just like that. No problem, nothing that was wrong with the car, the other guy with whom I spoke about was just there watching us like he was caught in the lie. If there was really a problem it would not have been fixable that fast. They try to lie to you and make you pay more than you should for services you don't need. I asked to look at my previous tire and you know what, I didn't even need a new tire! They could have patched up the old one and filled it with air and I would be good to go. If I could I would call the cops on this company but then I would look like the bad guy for just wanting an honest service. People, $200 for one tire!?! At other places, you can pay $400 for 4 tires! Came in an hour and a half before closing looking to get my brakes inspected. They had nobody ahead of me but the gentleman working the front counter said they don't have time to help me today since they close in an hour and a half. I asked him if he could at least take a look and tell me if the brake pads need to be replaced. He said no. I asked him how much it might cost to get brake pads replaced. He said it depends on a lot of things and wouldn't give me an estimate or ballpark even though I told him my year make and model. Doesn't seem like they care to help people or want my business. I've probably been coming to this Firestone for 10 years. Nice enough staff up front but technicians are severely incompetent. I've twice had to return a day after service for something that should have been caught before I left. Yesterday I had 4 new tires put on. First time I drove the vehicle after the tires were put on (50 miles from Home) the back rear goes flat. So I had to spend another day driving back to Fashion Valley on a temporary tire. The stem valve was bad. Obviously something that should have been detected when new tires were put on. The flat also crushed the TPMS sensor, they put in a new sensor but didn't have the tool to reset it. I had to drive around to other Firestone's to get it reset. They couldn't do it either. All referred me to the dealer. Think I'm done with this Firestone. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would! I went in to have my brakes checked and after a 3 hour wait I was told a caliper needed to be changed. I was given an estimate of about $900 dlls to repair it so I decided to get a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. Turns out I just needed my new brake pads and ended up replacing elsewhere. Lesson learned these guys only know bout tires at most and shouldn't be trusted for anything else!! I cannot recommend this place for an inspection. I came in with an appointment for a simple inspection and intended to wait. When I was told that it would take 60 to 90 minutes, I decided to leave and return upon a call from the service person. I called them after 2 hours only to learn that they had not even started the inspection and it would take at least another hour: it took me several attempts to even get this information since they just wanted to leave me with "it is the next car we will work on". Before that hour was over, I was called by the buyer, who was already early at the shop and had been talking to the mechanic Chloe, who had given him the whole download on her inspection. I went back to the shop just to learn that the report was not finished. While I was waiting for another 15 minutes, I learned that the mechanic had warned the buyer about the dysfunctional convertible top. Fortunately, I could clarify this point with the buyer right away by showing him how easy it was to open and close the top: The mechanic did not know that one had to close a hatch in the trunk before opening the top. While that could have almost been forgiven, informing the buyer about a weird sound from the engine, which had not been detected by my regular Mercedes mechanic, who had seen the car a week before, was going to far. According to the buyer, she attributed it to the serpentine belt, that was supposedly cracking. The belt is fine and the engine sound has always been like that. There were a few other questionable findings noted that are not worth discussing here. And when I finally received the inspection sheet, the top was still listed as dysfunctional which was corrected by the service person upon my request, Needless to say that my anger over the delay - more than 4 hours for an inspection with an appointment - was only increased by the lack of professionalism and competence of the service. Had I seen James review dated 8/1/2019, I had chosen a different shop for the inspection. read more

Five weeks ago, I came in for a check engine light and car with intermittent vibration while idling at stop lights. I was told it was code P0101 Mass Airflow sensor. I spent 6 hours and $600 in your store while you replaced the mass airflow sensor and air filter. Three weeks later my check engine light came on again. I used my neighbor's diagnostic reader and it displayed the same P0101 code. I returned to your store to make sure the original work was done correctly. Your store said it was a new code P0868 Transmission Fluid Pressure Low. Your employees could not explain where this code came from. No new check engine light had come on. There were no new car symptoms other than the still present intermittent vibration at stop lights. When I got home, I checked the car again with a diagnostic reader and it said "no code" because your employees wiped the error code history, making it more difficult to properly fix. I took my car to the dealership and after explaining the symptoms and code P0101 and without even looking at the car, they told us the mass airflow sensor did NOT have to be replaced and instead you should have 1) reprogrammed the ECM, 2) checked the PCV valve and 3) cleaned the throttle body. They could also find no history of a P0868 code. We spent another couple hundred dollars doing the correct work at the dealership and now the car drives beautifully. We will not be returning to your store and we will highly recommend our friends and family also do NOT do business with you. We spent $600 in your store for NO REASON, and your technicians deleted information from my car's system to cover their tracks. read more

I was told it'd be about an hour wait I said okay and went across to the mall. 6:30 comes so I sit in the waiting room. At 7 a man walks up and asks what I need and I say I'm waiting on my car. He then says they called and it went to voicemail (strange because it was on) and that they couldn't fix my car because two bolts are stuck and it's now too late to do anything. All the while the man says you need to fix this soon to which I said yeah I'm obviously trying. Why didn't they try the call again? Now I can't leave my car overnight because I'm a nanny and can't just call in. So thank you firestone on friars rd. I had to drive home with my spare and nothing fixed and two hours wasted. I made an appointment to get 4 new tires and alignment on a Wednesday. Despite the appointment, it took 2 hours to complete everything. They definitely tried to sell other things, which every place does. The worst is that two days later on Friday, one of the front tires had a significantly lower psi. My car gauge told me 26, 41, 44, 45. WTF is 26? I literally just got new tires. On top of that I called them so they can fix it without charge, and the woman on the phone made it seem like it was my fault, and that I could have driven over a road hazard. She said they will have to look at my account and see if I purchased "road hazard protection", and that's the only way they can correct it for free. Again WTF. I called another location, and it turns out, unbeknownst to me, I did purchase "road hazard protection". And I did not drive over any nails or road hazards. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! If I could give negative star I most certainly would. Came here with an appointment. After an hour of walking around crowded fashion valley I went back to check on my car. They still had not even moved it out of the parking spot. I went in and asked what's the point of an appointment if the vehicle gets the same que as the others. They said it's based off next available technicians. Okay so fast forward, 3 hours later , they come in and tell me my car has been inspected. They said all of my tires were shot and gave me an explanation of each tire being in the shape of footballs. Why on earth would that happen i said ? They said well your struts are shot. All of the struts are shot! Which made all of your tires destroyed. I was shocked and sad since my tires were only two years old. Okay , can I get an estimate on paper so I can take it home and think about this. They printed out an estimate. New tires , struts and apparently a parking light out? All with maintenance the estimate came up to 2,000.00 something dollars. Wow! Pretty bummed out I went for a second opinion at discount tire. Dropped the car off , took an uber 15 minutes home. Started making breakfast and they were already done with my car. Tires rotated , balanced and I got a text saying it was done. Well that can't be right I thought. So I called and said , any issues I should know about before I come back ? The man on the phone was so sweet and said , nope. We did find a nail in one of your tires but we patched that up for you for free. WHAT! Firestone is the worst. Do not come here!!!! 2000.00 vs. 49 dollars. Wow. read more
