Never use this shop. This is for 101 S Main in Santa Ana. This shop ruined my transmission and my car. They endangered my family and I. They failed to refill the front differential fluid after emptying it as part of a routine service. Firestone corporate acknowledges the error but has not provided any meaningful compensation for the true damage and cost Firestone has caused. The day after taking the vehicle in for this basic service, the front axle suddenly and violently seized up on the freeway leading to a seriously dangerous experience. Two independent mechanics confirmed the front differential had been drained and not refilled. This caused a total transmission failure and engine failure. Eddie is the store manager and failed to report the claim accurately to Firestone corporate which also led to its own string of challenges and delays. We called because our rental car had low pressure... even thought the rental car place told us the car would drive fine and it was something to do with the weather we suspect they didn't want to give us a different car. Anyways the Johnny was able to help us test our tire pressure and add air free of charge. He was friendly and super helpful and made the process easy. I've been coming to this location since 2000, when I first started my career at the County of Orange. Its close proximity to my workplace has always made drop-offs and pick-ups easy and convenient. During my most recent visit, the team took their time to explain everything, made thoughtful suggestions, and truly made the experience a positive one. Instead of recommending all four tires, they suggested replacing just two, along with a wheel alignment and two air filters--and even applied an online coupon to help us save. The Honda dealership was simply out of my son's price range, and Firestone not only offered a better deal but saved us valuable time. My dad went to buy 4 tires for his van, Suredrive brand. He got them from a nice guy and everything seemed fine, paying ~$560 for the set along with the Road Hazard Protection. The very next day he got an email from Firestone advertising BOGO but 2, get 2 free with the purchase of an alignment and Road Hazard Protection. He already had the lifetime alignment plan purchased from the last tires he bought. My dad called and spoke to the manager and told him he got this email special and asked why didn't he get free tires. The manager made all these excuses including that the discount was expired even though the email clearly showed it still hadn't expired. The sales guy said he wasn't aware of the deal but agreed he should've qualified. The manager even cut off my dad and hung up. Where shall I begin I hope you have time because you can't make this stuff up lol it all started over a week ago I have the privilege of having a great job, with a few perks. One which includes tire and automotive program. I order tires from my employer they reach out to the approved tire location and I only pay for installation out of pocket. I happen to pick this location since I am familiar. They reach out to "Eddie" he says ok he ordered these special Tesla tires I only needed 3. I received a confirmation email from my employer to call "Eddie" schedule an installation appointment. I was already advised the tires would arrive on 3/21by my employer. I spoke to Eddie he didn't know what I was talking about when I called. I gave him the "run down" my employee called you to order tires about 5 min ago sent over a fax told me to call you to set up an installation appointment. That quick he forgot who or what I was talking about. I was advised to come in after 10am to get them on 3/21. Didn't even ask for my phone number or name or what tires I was referring to which I thought was weird so I told him first name and all that jazz. On 3/20 I spoke to Sergio asked did the tires show up a day early by any chance he said what tires I told him my info. He said oh no call after 1pm. He calls me back 30 seconds later and says. Did you even order the correct tires I said what do you mean he said these tires sound like they're wrong I said no they're correct and I repeated them he said oh yea that's correct. Ok that's strange but still no tires. Next day around 8 am I get a flat tire on the tire that needed replacing badly! They happen to call and say oh your tires are here I said great can I drop my car off they say sure not they but Eddie you can I said great let me call a tow truck. His response yea we will lock it up and work on it tomorrow. Me huh?!? To change tires he said well yea I'm short staffed on Thursdays I thought but you told me I could bring it on today anyways. Fast forward I get it changed elsewhere paying for a brand new tire costing me a couple hundred when I already had tires sitting somewhere. Not to mention the tire shop had to order it so I had to wait all day for it to come no big deal at least they took care of me. I call Eddie and say I will be there after 11 am 3/22 Sergio picks up says perfect! I said ok what is the install price for two tires Eddie knows I don't need to put on 3 anymore but I will take my 3rd one with me. Him 9.17 I said that's cheap $9.17 cents he said oh no 900$ and 17 cents I said I think you're mistaken I will not pay that to put on tires that's too much $. He said oh no that's the total even for the tires. Me: we talked about this my employer paid for the tires he said well it's 72$ for install me for 2 tires hmmm. I get there I print out all my paperwork from my employer and guess what two brains functioning as one decided to talk to me like an idiot in the lobby in front of other guest how I didn't pay for the tires and we (them) didn't get anything, these aren't paid for, who told you that? No one paid I didn't get any $ me: here's the confirmation you have the same stated they're paid for. Him that's not true it wasn't so much Sergio but Eddie. im a woman in a tire shop around men looking crazy. Eddie didnt even try to look at the ph # i pointed out to call on the paperwork. NO type of resolution just blame and you're not taking anything from here. The fact that I spoke to them THREE days in a ROW and they had time to figure it out and did nothing instead decided to be nasty when I got there was mind boggling GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR TIRES! Oh and I drove from Chino since my job could only confirm this raggedy location was the only ones that offered it within a 30 mile radius. Eddie is unprofessional did not remember talking to VCS or receiving the order form. So who ordered the tires it wasn't me lmao. I only scheduled the appointment sir make it make sense. read more

I purchased new tires 4/5/2022. Today, I was told that my tire warranty does not cover- around 30k miles on my tires and warranty covers up to 70K- because I did not rotate my tires; however, every time I took my car in to get the tires patched up the manager/employees never offered the tired rotation service to me. I'm beyond disappointed that they lack professionalism and don't care to keep their clientele content. All they care for is to make money at any cost and neglect taking care of their clients. I wish I was informed that tire rotation was something that had to be done accordingly. Better yet! I wish the manager and employees did their job and rotated my tires per the warranty. Main St., Santa Ana, CA for over 20+ years taking not only my Family Vehicles but County of Orange Fleet Vehicles for minor repairs, and unfortunately, the service has gone downhill. I recently visited for a simple flat repair, and the Manager barely glanced at my tire before telling me it was "unrepairable" and that I needed to buy a brand-new tire--a $400 upsell instead of a $20 fix. Something didn't feel right, so I went to the Firestone location at 11230 E. Washington Blvd in Whittier, where my service advisor, took the time to actually inspect my tire. Turns out, it was 100% repairable--and just like that, I was back on the road for a fair and honest price. It's clear that this Santa Ana location prioritizes sales quotas over customer service, pushing unnecessary replacements instead of honest repairs. It's disappointing to see a once-reliable location prioritize profit over honesty. Firestone should take a serious look at the management here. These guys were so helpful! I called them Saturday because the last company that did my oil change had screwed up and my oil plug fell out while I was driving leaving me stranded- they told me they'd help. When we got there the tow truck driver didn't know how to take my car out of park without turning it on but these guys handled it. They just pushed the on button once without a foot on the brake and it allowed them to put it in neutral and push the car in. By the time I got there though it was right before closing but they told me they would get me on the road ASAP the next morning and they did. They had said they would aim for 11am but actually called me at 10am to say it was ready. These guys were so nice and helpful. We were incredibly grateful. read more

We found out we needed a new water pump (autozone check confirmed it too) (and our tires were in pretty bad shape)! I have been a loyal Firestone customer since 2006 and I have taken my car in for both oil changes and new tires. However, these past few years the service has really decline and it has not been the same customer service driven Firestone. Mind you, my home shop is the Firestone on 17th and Tustin. I have been turned away on several occasions during business hours and just recently when I was in dyer need of assistance since I had a flat tire which I purchased from this specific store. However, the Main St. and First St Firestone has regain my trust and business because this was my last chance I was giving Firestone to redeem themselves and let me tell you. They did. I first encountered Eri who is the store manager. Very friendly and knowledgeable person and was able to meet my needs to Eddie who was nice enough to temporary checked my flat to setting up an appointment the next day so they can repair it. When he could have easily turned me away just like the other store on Tustin did. Instead he made sure my tire was safe to drive on and filled it with air for the time being. I brought my car the next day, Eddie was waiting for me and was able to execute by repairing my tire, doing an alignment and had me out in no time. I go to firestone all the time and the company itself is great my complaint is about this Firestone and an individual named Mike in particular who are just completely rude and incompetent. I went yesterday with my husband to try to repair a flat we had bought under warranty at this location. Unfortunately Mike was the one who we spoke to, because he most definitely did not help. He would not let my husband talk instead just interrupting him or talking over him causing it to take much longer than necessary. Then we explain how we have the spare and if they could just change it and keep the tire that needs to be worked on because we can't be late to pick up our 7 yr old son. He says he understands and will do it immediately so we can take our car when we return from running an errand. We wasted money on an Uber just to return to our car that hadn't even been touched yet. He then told us even with our warranty it would be close to 300 dollars. We leave annoyed as so much time was wasted and nothing was accomplished and go to the other firestone on Tustin. Not only did they actually let us talk they helped us in less than 30 mins and it was only $50. So not only was Mr Mike rude, condescending, incompetent, he tried to rip us off and then 2 hours after we left because nothing had been done he begins harassing my husband calling him over over again like we would ever return to such a disgusting useless location. I recommend the company but definitely not this location and if you must come to this location avoid Mike at all costs. He'll waste your time and over charge you as much as he possibly can. read more

I highly recommend this Firestone. They are always so helpful and very honest. I was once quoted some high amount at another car repair a long time ago and when I brought my vehicle here, I only needed a couple of screws tightened. No repair was needed. They didn't charge me for tightening my screws and have had my loyalty since. The problem immediately stopped as soon as I drove away. I always reccomended this Firestone to my friends & clients. Thankfully, my current vehicle has only needed maintenance work. My prior vehicle had required a little more upkeep. I am all about the customer service here. I got a flat tire coming off of the freeway and I didn't know what to do. I knew there was a tire shop on Main because the bus I frequented before my car stopped there all the time. I gave them a call and was greeted by Laura over the phone. She informed me of the price, current wait time, and what they could do for me over the phone. My car is my little baby. I've had it for a year and have kept it in good condition. When I found out I needed a new tire and not just a repair my worry grew because funds are low. #COVID19. Mike came in from the mechanic area and suggested I apply for the Firestone credit card. I thought my approval odds were slim, but I was approved in minutes. I was able to buy all 4 tires same day with no down payment. It's a really friendly place to visit. The store manager does not understand cars and would rather argue with customers. I was here last week for an alignment, informed him the moment I left that they did not reset my steering angle sensor properly as my lights are on now. He became very defensive and wanted to blame other things and would not look at the car for another week. The tech had to apologize for his behavior and informed I was the 4th customer he gets confrontational with today (they opened 1 hour ago). Although I clearly told him what the error is he continues to suggest they can only check that wheel angles are straight and read green. For those of you that don't know the steering angle is in the steering wheel column. Although clearly confused would Not acknowledge his mistakes and makes things up that I changed the back end suspension?? Never have not said anything to that effect. He was very rude and unprofessional, I will never be back at this place. Store manager needs to be demoted and retrained. read more

Bought an Interstate battery here about a month ago; a gentleman by the name of Jorge helped us; kind, patient and quite funny. HOWEVER when my boyfriend returned to the store with the old battery to retrieve the core, the store manager, Jesus, turned him away - even after glancing at the receipt, telling him - "we can recycle it" and walking off, leaving my guy standing there. When I phone the store the next morning to find out the business - that same jackass, Jesus, answers the phone and upon hearing the issue - IMMEDIATELY sets off into trying to argue with me and pass blame on why he didn't give the core back. We return to the store to get the core within the hour, that same Jesus sees us, and leaves us standing around waiting for assistance - NOT A SOUL GETTING SERVICE AT THE COUNTER OR IN THE BAYS, all the employees just standing around DOING NOTHING. Finally Jesus, the customer service "specialist," comes into the register - says nothing to either my boyfriend or I - no "hey sorry, man - I was busy" or "I didn't realize you were returning for the core" - just a cold shoulder. FAIL. Upon every one of their receipts, they provide a customer service number to call and mention your "experience" - I sure did and also suggested that the company could contact me - nothing. So, out of spite (yep, spite), I went to the company website and left my comments again. We're in the middle of a recession and folks want to act stank - OH HELL NO, especially when I know there are folks just as competent, yet entirely nicer that that company could employ.
