Went to this store for tire rotation. I waited for 2 hours to do tire rotation. Ramon was exceptionally nice and informative! I had made an online appointment for an oil change service and received a confirmation call. Upon vehicle inspection, they notified me that I had "no brakes" in the front, I had not noticed any changes, but believed them as when they changed my rotors and pads they showed me my brakes. It was apparent that I needed new ones. Not what I expected to do or pay for but for safety purposes I went ahead and had them take care of everything. This establishment used to give quality service and Mo was a great manager and never stirred me wrong. In the last few months the work being done has been lacking in mistakes by the techs. My Tesla Model Y which had only 23k miles on it needed new tires because the factory Goodyears were horrible. So I did my research online for weeks for the best tire for the Model Y and decided to go with the Hankook ion Evo SUV which is new and specifically made for EVs. Also found that Tesla is using these same tires for many of their new 2024 model 3 and Ys as well. It also comes with a 50k warranty so NO brainer! Went to two other tire shops and most were out of stock and did not really know about these tires. But the assistant manager here at Discount tire and service knew exactly what i was looking for and he also recommends these because of high customer satisfaction he personally heard. They also had the most competitive price for the tires out of the 3. I replaced all 4 tires and could not be happier. They ride smooth, quieter and more planted than the previous Goodyears (trash) that came with the Model Y. If anyone anyone recommends these Hankook ion evo for your EV then they have done their research and doing you a favor. One of the first and only EV exclusive tire to receive Triple A rated in EU Tyre label for Low rolling resistance, Wet grip and Low noise. Can't beat it right now for EVs! I've been a loyal customer of this location for many years - however the last year I've been refused service under the 'alignment and rotation' agreements made in the past. Today's appt was scheduled yesterday and because of the last visit I waited for him to validate that I was still eligible for my lifetime alignment check. Went in and the person at the desk calmly stated that since I installed a rt side axle shaft at a shop outside Discount tires my warranty for lifetime alignment was broken. He then later found that the warranty was only for 3 years and had expired 6 months before. Please sign up for another 105$ and we'll renew the warranty now that it's been broken. Previous visit (~maybe 6 months ago) was to balance and align tires - they wouldn't do the balance only because my tread was low. Tires were purchased at Costco - and we getting down to 5/32nds but Costco said not ready to replace. I felt it was a scheme to get me to purchase tires. They did do the alignment check. I have spent many visits taking their tour of my suspension - replaced it 2X - amounting to I recall more than 4K over time. axle shafts are not part of the suspension - and I have no idea why a replacement of axle shaft would be a break in warranty. I in fact had called them a week before for an estimate - $1000 was their quote. I did it instead via a Japanese auto shop for labor only 260$ and 85$ for the part on amazon. read more
