Avoid this place like the plague. It does not even deserve 1 star. I took my truck in for tires, an oil change, and a wheel alignment. After changing oil and tires they informed me they could not do the wheel alignment until they did the over $3000 worth of other work they claimed I needed including ball joints and new shocks (on a truck that had been driving perfectly normally). I am from out of town and was visiting a local friend, so I took it to her longtime trusted local mechanic. When I dropped it off I told the woman "Firestone says I need over 3K worth of work, largely suspension." She replied, "Of course they did." Bottom line, it did NOT need ball joints, nothing wrong there, and the shocks have at least 20K miles left on them. It did need brakes and a steering shock. Total repair costs, just under $1000. I will NEVER set foot in a Firestone again. I guess I should not be shocked, but I kinda am. I am a credit card holder and long time customer. But they saw a single woman, and went for it. What is she going to know about it? DISGUSTING behavior! Photo below is the estimate from Firestone of what I needed with notes from the other mechanic.

I brought the car into another mechanic who had the car up and running in a little over an hour. This mechanic said the mechanic at Amigo Tire and Auto made the car think it was being stolen and so shut everything down which is why Amigo tire was unable connect to the computer. Additionally, he said the ignition problem was common with the Honda Fit and that the ignition parts were easily rebuilt and that Amigo Tire replaced the ignition parts unnecessarily. At best Amigo Tire's mechanic is either completely uninformed about the task he took on or the establishment is completely unscrupulous. I believe its both.

I called right back and got an appointment the next day. I came in the next day and before I could fully explain the concern, some out-of-it old guy at the counter was already explaining why I was wrong and showing me diagrams of tires and alignment diagnostic sheets. I told him, "I don't know what you're talking about, but my car is driving differently after you all worked on it. The car is pulling to the right and steering/tires communication is off." He tried to over-talk me; I waited for him to finish. Again, I stated, "I don't know what you're talking about, but it's driving differently." (Mind you, this is the same guy, who the day before didn't give me my wheel key back and I had to drive back up there to get it.) Some younger guy with a bad attitude went on a test drive with me so I could show him the issue. He proceeded to explain that "alignment" has nothing to do with what I was showing him. I told him, "I don't know what's it's called "alignment", "balancing", "tires", whatever, the car is driving differently after your business touched it." The younger guy took the car; I waited about an hour; he worked on it; and he explained more stuff with a bad attitude when it was done. I drove it and it was actually mostly restored to what it was before I brought it to this place. The problem here is their bad attitudes and the old guy not hearing the problem before he wanted to absolve Firestone of liability. I had a different technician the day before; and the guy that mostly fixed the issue the next day should not have been mad at me. Just because YOU have shitty co-workers, you should not take it out on the customer.
