This place is the worst. To replace one tire, it took 6 hours. Took car in at 12 noon, I was told they'll call when ready. No call came. At 5pm, I came back and the car has not moved. They finally did it and all it took was 20 minutes. Funnily enough, an elder lady came in to check on her car which she left THE DAY BEFORE and she was told it wasn't ready. It was also for replacement tires and she was told to come back in an hour. WTF. read more

Started taking our car there for over 5 years until now 2023. Wow- thousands of dollars later. At first it seemed ok. Let's start by saying it was a great location. Work close by. So I had the check engine light came on took it here even though the other Firestone we took it to had bad experiences with them. So I decided to give these guys a try. Seemed good at first. Check engine light came on they temporarily fixed the problem. Every three months it would come back on them there were other things they said was wrong with it. Yes Yes this place is terrible. Don't buy into the bs they are all Arrogant rude to many customers. They will obtain your trust and they will convince you your car needs other things fixed. Yes they will manipulate you before you know it when they win your trust you will be getting charged for repairs that weren't even made. This whole place is a SCAM... they will keep your car over night or even longer to have you think they are working on it. No not always true. It's a SCAM.. stay away from here. read more

4.5 hours for tires + alignment and they forgot the valve caps. 12:00 appointment. I arrived early. Out after 4:30. That's a ridiculous waste of customer time. I went here to get my coolant/coolant reservoir to get checked. They ended up replacing my Radiator for $650 and the bill went up to almost $1k. Started driving home and the issue wasn't fixed. To make matters worse, my check engine light was on (had to go back 1st time) and fan wasn't even working (2nd time same day) when they gave the car back to me. You would think they would do a courtesy check before handing back my car. Finally, for the 3rd time on the same day when my car is heating up, I just decided to not come back. Overpriced and lack of good customer service. The Dustin guy in the front desk is a know-it all idiot, he initially told me to go to BMW to do a reset on the light because apparently Firestone doesn't do that simple of a service. But guess what, when I went back for the second time with an unhappy face, he ended up fixing the light himself. Typically, I love firestone. The location at Southcenter is the one I frequent and Dave is the absolute best! I feel as though I can trust him, he's patient even when the lobby is crazy and the phones are off the hook. Dave always relievers the utmost customer care. However, today was a train wreck. After waiting in the mall for 3 hours, I get a call to tell me that they do not have the correct pads for my brakes. Sigh okay it's 5:30pm, so that means I could've caught a Lyft home hours ago. Furthermore, the inconvenience of taking a Lyft home and back when the part should have been available if I made an appointment ahead of time. That indicates to me poor prior planning. Poor prior planning produces piss poor production. Dustin is cool and he made up for it, (kudos Dustin). This review is more so to encourage management to A) hire more staff. B) set better expectations for customers. I will certainly come back. Just disappointed in today's service. read more

The older gentleman Dave who runs this shop is excellent. He does a really good job staying on top things. Its not run all scattered where no one knows whats going on unlike like other locations Ive been to in the state. There is a female with glasses and a shorter gentleman with glasses that are pretty good at their job. Im confident whenever I come here they take care of my car and havent had any issues of not trusting what they say I need unlike other Firestones Ive been to in the state. I avoid the Firestones in Renton, Wa and Ballard, Wa. I used to live by both locations (heck even across the street from one) and Id rather drive a few miles from the Firestone in Renton and Id drive about 30 miles from the one in Ballard to come to this one in Tukwila. Thats how crappy those other ones are. The only Firestone I'd use in all of the Seattle/King County area. read more

Scammers! I went in to get an oil change and had them do a 10 point inspection. They told me I would need a single ball joint and tie rod replaced, totaling $1000. I called up les Schwab and they said they would do it for $400. I brought it to les Schwab and I get a call an hour later, "there's nothing wrong with your ball joints or tie rods on either side." So they didn't charge me anything. Avoid this place like the plague! PS I was out of wiper fluid, I asked if they could put some in for me, he said yeah no problem. Never happened....definitely going back to jiffy lube for oil changes. read more

Usually pretty busy. Came in this morning (Monday) and it took about 2 1/2 hours. Nice staff; they aren't as pushy about their credit card here as they are at other locations thankfully. The guy who was behind the desk today was very friendly and made small talk; usually they just tell me what else I "need" for my car, so it was a nice change. terrible. had an oil leak, took my car in. said it would be done by noon the next day and didn't get my car until 6PM. to make matters worse, they loosened my headlight bulb assembly and other parts under the hood but never put them back properly. now my car makes a knocking sound when i drive. when i told them to check the noise that started after leaving the shop they charged me $70. I think the service has deteriorated over the years. Imho they hate and avoid major repairs. They like to concentrate on anything cosmetic or easy replacements, such as Oil change, brake service and sell you a full set of tires. That's it, than charge you an arm and leg for some sorry service. However the only exception is the Manager called Mike West. His honest, good listener and will definitely take care of your vehicle. If you ever make an appointment make sure to get hold of Mike and that's it period. The rest of them just ignore and take your business elsewhere. read more

Didn't make it past a phone call. I asked if they could do any engine work and the receptionist quoted $100 for a diagnostic test, but never answered my question. Then I asked for a quote to replace my alternator but she couldn't even ball park it (although she did confirm that they replace alternators). My car was stalled out four blocks from their shop, but I decided I'd rather tow to West Seattle. If your stranded in Southcenter find the little shop next to the Chevron station. Stellar customer service from Mike & Albert! Thank you for a great experience for a not so fun visit. Went in for a flat tire repair & oil change today. 1) They were open on Labor Day 2) they offered online appts so that I could secure a slot and not have to wait an ungodly amount of time and 3) the location is so close to my house. I've always been hesitant in going to a large chain due to my past experiences with high pressure sales and awful customer service. Not to mention way back in the day the Firestone brand had made headlines about their poorly manufactured tires, etc. I arrived for my 9am appt and was promptly greeted and checked in. The waiting area was clean and tidy. My car was taken back in a timely manner and within about 30 min I was advised of the true state of my tires ;(. Throughout the entire explanation I felt confident that Mike was telling me things plainly and professionally. At the time of checkout, they had my car ready before the estimated time & went over everything again as I'm sure I looked unsure & needed reassurance that it all made sense. And regarding the actual tire & alignment service? I feel like I'm driving a new car! I had faithfully been going to another mechanic for 11 years which wasn't as good as I thought. I'm happy to have found a new auto care center that provides such excellent care, service & is conveniently located (next to Southcenter mall) to my house. read more

Went to this place last week after my check engine light came on. The gentlemen that was there was super friendly and helpful. He took 3 min out of his busy day to scan the code and we went from there. I left my vehicle there for it to get worked in and picked it up the next day. 1 week later the engine light came on and I took it back. But this time the dude that was there was super rude. Didn't greet me or anything. Told him what happened and asked if he could scan for the code even if he didn't work on it today. He rudely told me he didn't have time to go out and scan which shouldn't take no more than 5 min. But he had time to go help another customer take a wheel out of his trunk which took him about the same time it would've taken him to scan the code on my car. I asked him if he could help me out since I had my 6 month old baby with me and it was ny only way of transportation. He rudely said no he was to busy to help me. So I told him alright I'll just go to another shop as I walked out. He then yelled "what did you say to me" and as I was leaving the lot he called my personal phone in a really rude manner. Saying that I was really rude and that he's going to note that on my file. I could care less they just lost me as a good loyal customer. Bought my tires which I paid 1500 for and fixed my truck there a couple times. Sucks he didn't want to help me. Decided to went to CDJR of Renton where they helped me out perfectly fine. read more

Short story: Cannot properly install a tire's valve stem. This lead to a flat, stranding my wife, and a tow truck call. Details: Brought our car in for a road damage replacement of a tire. After some unhelpful service (another story about their inability to search for tire sizes properly) they replaced the tire. 36 hours later, the tire they had replaced was completely flat, leaving my wife stranded and in need of a tow truck to assist. Called and explained the situation once I was back in town. They told me they would call me by 11 am the next morning if they had located the needed tire. Didn't hear anything the next morning, so I called them to check. Over the phone, I was then told I was late for my appointment and they did have a tire. Surprise! I never would have known! When I made it to the shop, I was also told I was late (again). Explaining the situation regarding the lack of communication from the staff, the manager was passive aggressive and straight up told me I was incorrect and wrong! I would have driven away right then except for the fact they had the tire I needed. One star for repairing the valve stem in 30 minutes. Oh, also no one there even offered an apology for the fact that the flat was their fault in the first place. Poor customer treatment, poor attitudes, poor communication skills, poor workmanship. Will not be back to this location. I will now be a Les Schwab customer. Congratulations! read more

The car I'd just bought was running on an emergency tire, the other one in the trunk and seeming to be flat. I brought it here to be fixed and Dave was super friendly and helpful. I explained what was going on with the tire and he said fixing it would not be a problem. He said they'd do a courtesy check, also offered me a full inspection seeing as how it was a new car to me. I just asked for the courtesy, again they had no problem doing that. We also talked a bit about the model of the car and while he told me it was overall a good car, he pointed out a few problem areas just for me to keep an eye on in the future so as to prolong the car's life and keep maintenance on it cheap. I left the car with them, so they called me once they knew what had to be done, explaining what they suggested be done. I told them to do some of it, and leave other parts for later, they were find with this, no hard selling or guilting me into getting more done then I wanted. The work was done in about an hour, came back, picked it up and paid - nice and easy, just how I like it. If Dave is there, talk to him, he's pretty awesome. read more

I went to Firestone to have a flat tire patched. I walked in without an appointment on a Friday afternoon and they did the work while I waited, in less than an hour. Since I bought my tires at Firestone, they did the patch for free. In fact, they will repair up to three holes for free. (I know this because it turned out there were three nails in my tire.) If you didn't buy your tires here, it's $25 a patch. They have a waiting area with a nice big HDTV and not terribly comfortable seating. The shop is close to the Southcenter food court, so I dropped my car and walked over to get some lunch. There was a little griping from the staff about having to work on Fourth of July weekend, but I can't blame them for that. Other than that they were professional and courteous. Mercifully, they did not give me a laundry list of recommended repairs when they returned the car. read more

My friend and I were visiting Seattle and we are both from Alaska. she was about to start her trek down to the states to move to a different state and her car randomly stopped starting. we finally managed to get it into the shop with C&M and they told us it looked like it was the catalytic converter and that it would cost around $600. the next day we decided to call ford dealers and couldn't get ahold of anyone (because it was New Years) until we came across Firestone (keep in mind, we aren't from here so we didn't really know of good places to take her car). Anthony from Firestone was the most genuine and helpful guy. Thank goodness for him! he told us it was going to cost about $30 to look at it and they wouldn't do anything without telling us first. He really eased our weariness after the trouble we had with the first car place and he also even recommended us a good rental car place for the time being as I was only going to be in the area for a short time before I flew back. we were shocked at the cheap price of the rental car which was only around $60 for a few days and we can't thank Anthony enough for all his help with recommendations and getting my friend back on the road to start her journey. they found the problem, it was a pretty cheap fix, and they were so genuine about wanting to help. i highly recommend Firestone for all your car needs, they are so awesome!! Thank goodness after searching some more I saw firestone was open and they were able to take us in right away. Was in need of rear brake replacement. A friend recommended Firestone in Tukwila. Dropped my car off at 7am on the way to work. Got a call around 8am to tell me what they found. Suggested a couple other things outside of the brake work, but were not pushy about them. I got another call at 10am telling me my car was ready for pickup! Price was great and service outstanding. I have gone to this Firestone for the past 3 years and typically had an okay experience, yet apparently some of my records are missing? Apparently they have new employees because today's experience was pretty bad. Between being treated like an idiot, feeling pressured to waste money, and the employee addressing my fiance instead of me... it was overall an uncomfortable and aggravating day. The employee tried to make it sound as if I couldn't get my car off the lot without paying 190 in service fees to replace something apparently we can fix ourselves. I made a fuss about it then all of a sudden it turns out it's not as urgent. Then they just wanted to feed into sexist stereotypes of workers talking over the women's head to the man. It's my car. Speak to me, thanks. Not only that, don't tell me I haven't taken my car in to this store when I'm telling you I have. Just because it's not in the records doesn't mean I am wrong. It means whoever worked on my car did not do their job and input everything correctly. I've heard for awhile that Firestone is a rip off but I tried to give them a chance. I had ran over a glass and the tire was unrepairable, however these assholes told me that I need to replace all four tires because my tires were bald. Please explain to me how four tires less than a year old are bald? With no alignment problems. Quoted me almost $900. I told him that's OK I'm going to take it to the dealership. I took it to my dealership they measured the thread depth in my tires were perfectly fine. They also said that I needed to replace all four tires because of my four-wheel-drive. However because my vehicle can be switched in and out of four-wheel-drive I only really needed to replace two. Every time I have taken any of my vehicles to firestone they have always tried to do this to me. And as soon as I leave them I take my vehicle to somewhere I trust and it's a completely different story. Women keep your money and stay very far away from these people unless you like being ripped off. read more

First visit to this place. I worked for F/S for several years back in the 90's - been using them since. Have had some good and some bad experiences. This one was really good! I called them to schedule an oil change and tire rotation. I learned a long time ago - not to wait for the vehicle! I dropped it at Noon. Told them I wanted it back at 5. They called me at 4:10p. It was ready. Told them I rotate my tires a certain way. It typically doesn't happen the way I want (tire mfg recommended). I've got Into the habit of chalking the outside of the tires before I go in there and still some screw it up! They put the sticker on the window for the reminder and reset the oil status light. Maybe shouldn't have to applaud any of this but it was nice not to have to go back in there and complain. I'm holding off on a 5 rating because it was just and oil change. I came in for an oil change. I was told I needed to replace my rear cylinders as they were leaking. I called around and went to L.S. as they quoted me half the price. I told Firestone I would not like them to do the work, I would be going somewhere else. Once i said that the salesman told me "oh well they're not THAT bad, everything else looks great...." It was really weird since he made it seem urgent. I came to L.S. for a brake inspection and repair if needed, and they said first of all they only took off one tire, not both. The other one was still kind of rusted on. They said my brakes have plenty of life and no leaks at all. I am very disappointed in Firestone using scare tactics to try and get money. over the last two years: over filled my crankcase on 3 separate occasions, replaced fuel filter but didn't clamp it down, broke the clamp. Didn't say anything untill i got home and checked it and called them on it! opened front windows (why?) then left my car (and others) in rain. asked for ngk plugs, but they installed bosch anyway. The (new) manager was rude and didn't want to hear why i wanted ngk plugs.I Miss Keith!! Tire service is very good though. finally got a new TV in the waiting area. This place is a bunch of scammers! My girlfriend took her 02 Lexus in here for an oil change, when she came back, they gave here a quote for well over a Thousand Dollars in brake work! They did an excellent job of making it seem like the car urgently needed the repairs, but in reality, she wasn't even due for pad replacement, let alone new rotors and calipers! They pointed to surface rust on the outside (top rim) of the rotor(which is extremely common but absolutely harmless) as the reason to replace ALL 4 rotors! There are a lot of people on here who have given good reviews because these guys "caught" other problems with their cars after having something simple done like an oil change. I went in on a Friday and was going to get my tires done that day but the manager recommended that I wait 2 days until Sunday in which they had a sale going on that ended up saving me 200+ dollars. What a terrible experience. I was not kept informed regarding my car. I was given a day for pickup. When I arrived, I was THEN told that THEY had tried to install the wrong belt. Made an appointment online for an oil change and was greeted by Dave who handled my '94 Bronco. He even found an online coupon and applied to my bill which saved me $10! After the oil change, he informed me that there may be a problem with the starter that may cost me $230 down the line. Of course, I get in and it wouldn't start. I go back in and they have a look at all the while I'm thinking I would be out $230! Dave came back to the desk and informed me that it was just the clamps on my battery cable's. Had I taken it somewhere else, they probably would have charged me and did the work anyway. So thank you Dave and the entire crew for making my first visit kick-ass. I will be back. read more

I had an idea of what was wrong with my car, but to be sure of what exactly was wrong I had to run many expensive and extensive diagnostics. I've been a customer of Firestone's for ten plus years. I've had good customer service and fair prices in the past. Recently I've had terrible customer service at two locations, most recently at their location off of Andover Park West. In the past 7 months I've spent over $1500.00 at Firestone, $800.00 of that money was spent at this location on tires and an oil change. I brought my Toyota Tacoma in early this morning because I had a screw in my tire. I picked my vehicle up after work and they charged me $20.00 to have my tire patched. Now I get nothing is free BUT this is a service regularly performed by Discount Tire and Les Schwab for free. I brought this to the gentleman's attention and had him review the amount of money I've spent here in the recent past. He reviewed my account and without a hint of care for his loyal customer told me, "you shouldn't have agreed to have you tire repaired" I responded by telling him this would be a silly reason to lose a customer. He responded with, "would you like to pay with your Firestone card?" Good job fella! You just lost a customer over a twenty dollar bill and your bad attitude. **UPDATE** The district manager contacted me shortly after I posted my review. He quickly rectified my level of satisfaction and assured me the gentleman I had my bad experience with was not performing to their company's standards. Being a good mechanic at an auto care facility is important but doesn't overshadow how important customer service is when you have spent and could potentially spend thousands more dollars at a business. I will, in good faith, because of the district manager's attention give Firestone another shot. The staff here are EXCEPTIONAL! I get my oil changed here, but today was AWESOME! HUGE kudos to Dave who works the front desk when I'm there. My car died today and took it in without an appointment, and they saw me right away. Within an hour and a half they had diagnosed me. Dave went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and I understood everything that was found wrong with my car. He then had my husband call in to make sure we were both in the know.
