I've been coming to Les Webb Tires for a while and have had good service overall, which is why I keep returning. But lately, there's been a consistent issue that needs to be addressed. I've brought my car in multiple times for the same tire concern (possibly a sensor or tire issue), and each time I end up waiting hours sometimes close to four just to be told nothing is wrong. I've had rotations done and asked about replacing the tires, and I'm told everything looks fine, yet the issue keeps happening. I understand new customers need service too, but returning customers with recurring issues should be handled more efficiently. If I'm coming back for the same problem, there should be some level of priority or urgency instead of being treated like a first-time visit and waiting for hours again. That's my main concern timing and how repeat issues are handled. I still think they do solid work, but the process for returning customers needs improvement. read more

I had such a great experience at this location. Not only were they friendly and extremely helpful but they also stayed past close to help me get back on the road (I was on a trip to visit my mom from Portland and had an hour drive left when I got a flat). The tire was unrepairable and they didn't have one in stock at this location so they drove to another location to get the tire I needed. Stopped by as a walk in to have my tire checked. I knew I had a nail in my tire which is why my tire pressure light was on. I walked in and gave my information to be notified when I would be next in line. I preferred to run errands and return when they were ready to take a look at my tire verses just sitting there and waiting for them to service my vehicle when my turn came. The wait time was no longer than 45 minutes when I was notified to return. Brandon was very helpful in assisting me and giving me a quote on new tires. They had good customer service. There is room to wait if you would prefer. There are tables, outlets, and a tv. I watched Diners Drive in and Dives as I waited for my vehicle. The servicing itself was about 30 minutes. I lucked up on a Saturday since they are typically busy. read more

I love Les Schwab! Background info: I'm female, 74, and disabled. I used to do my own automotive repairs and maintenance in a younger, more abled life. My 2006 Scion xB has been cared for by the dealership since I bought it new. Two years ago, that changed when the dealership started telling me I needed a new battery when the battery was less than 5 years old. I noticed changes after the dealership was bought out, but the upselling has become really bad. A few weeks ago my brakes started squealing. When I got a local repair shop flyer in the mail I checked reviews on here and thought, "why not give them a try." So I scheduled an appointment, told them there was a squeak and may need fluid or some work on the brakes. Two hours after taking it in, they told me the (drum) rear brakes were so locked up they couldn't get to them. They offered to replace them, and my battery, for $1,500. Jaw dropped. I asked what the price would be to simply replace the brakes: $1,000. If you know anything about brakes, it's obvious this is all hogwash. So, I called the Les Schwab across the street instead, gave them the diagnosis and asked for a brake job quote: $496. I made an appointment with Les Schwab and took the car in. They examined the brakes and found they were misaligned in such a way that the rear brakes looked like new because they were barely touching the tires. When the car was suspended and brakes were applied, the tires were able to spin without contact to the brakes. Heavens knows how long I've been driving with just front brakes!!!!! The full cost of the alignment? $41.90. No squeak, lovely braking. I love Les Schwab for this, and many other reasons. Their integrity is impeccable no matter where I go. read more

The service wasn't too great, the studs on my car were stripped, I couldn't remove them from my car because these guy decided to used a sell guns. I had to go to a mechanic to drill through the studs the remove my tires. I wouldn't recommend at all, I've gone for new tires, rotations and always have problems with my cars. Walked in here today without an appointment a very disappointing experience with Discount Tire. I met Trevor at the counter who was friendly and accommodating. He measured my tread depth and told me there was no issue repairing the tire with the nail in it. I was promptly checked in and the service was handled quickly and without any pressure to buy 4 new tires I didn't need - looking at you DT. I had a very pleasant and awesome experience with this Les Schwab location, and specifically Chandler, one of the mechanics/techs. I can here knowing full well I had a broken rear passenger shock on my Ford Excursion. I had originally be given a quote bye a Les Schwab in Ogden UT for all 4 shocks replaced with KYP brand shocks. However, I preferred Bilstein brand. I purchased my truck already having a lift on it and wasn't sure about how many inches it was. Chandler put my truck up on a lift, looked into it and determined what type of lift I had, the inches, and which corresponding Bilstein shocks needed to be ordered. He initially could only find the fronts, but was able to locate and special order the rears from a different vendor. I made a down payment of about 25-33% for the parts and shipping. He called me when all the parts were delivered, and we made an appt for install the following Saturday when it fit my work schedule and I knew he would be there. He also owns a similar year Ford Super Duty so he was very familiar with working on my truck. I highly recommend this location and specifically Chandler. The gals working the counter were also very pleasant, helpful, and sweet. read more

There was a nail in my tire of my GMC Sierra Pickup and I stopped by here for some help. A nice lady took my key and apparently a tire technician named Anthony went to work on my pickup. The whole process took 25 minutes give or take. Before you know it my name is called and I was asked to sign paperwork for unknown reason. I asked what was the lifespan of my tire and Anthony says "you're good for awhile" and best thing is the tire repair was FREE! Holy shit in this day and age where everything is nickel and dimed, I am so grateful for the honesty and putting customer's best interests forward. I went there for an alignment on my BMW thinking it'd be half the price vs the dealership. They end up saying they can't do the alignment because I needed all my control arms replaced. ALL four apparently coincidentally failed at the same time. Which is unusual especially for a car under 65K. The estimate: $1800. I took my car back to the BMW dealership and they told me the control arms were fine. If anyone is going to lie to me it's going to be the BMW dealership. Unbelievable. I wrote Les Schwab and they said they stood their repair recommendations. Lesson: stick with skilled technicians not these guys read more

Got a hole / flat in my original car tires (recently bought from a Toyota dealership). Came here around 10:30am on a Monday to find no line at all. The front desk person was very friendly and told me there is no charge for fixing Les Schwab tires OR original car tires, which is pretty awesome. I handed over my car keys and by 11:05am, I was out the door and headed back to work. I just had a nail in my left rear tire, they patched it, and placed my spare tire neatly back in my trunk. No more tire pressure gauge light on; all good to go, without a penny spent! It was great service, which just makes me want to return when it's time to buy tires because I'd love to give them my business again. Other things to note: there's a lot of sitting space / tables for while you wait, and there is free coffee and popcorn. Also, because it's important, the bathroom here is clean. read more

These guys fixed my flat tire last minute today. I tried Firestone first, they were ok but took a while to let me know that I need a new tire and the didn't have it stock and most nearby locations were booked 5 days out. I called Les Schwab the other Renton store and they told me that Rainier had my tire in stock. Rainier guys said that if I make it before 5pm they'll fix it. And they did! Thank you. Went in and got 4 new tires from them that where quoted to last 85K miles which cost me over $700. Less then 2 weeks later and only 50 miles in one of the tires blows leaving me and my 2 year old toddler stranded on the freeway in pouring rain with car damaged. No they won't tow your car to fix their mistake.... so guess whose out another $400?? This unhappy ex-customer. I will never go to this company again. Avoid! read more

Needed rear brake shoes for my Mazda. Made appointment online for three days later. They had the make model and year of my car in the online appointment. When I arrived and waited an hour or so, the tech told me they didn't have the parts. They asked me to reschedule. I know they don't care but its more than inconvenient to me. Right when I parked my car, Jerrica immediately came to my vehicle and opened the door. She literally did a jog to my car right when she saw me enter the lot. She probably runs sprints before coming to work as a warm up or does iron man races for fun. Nobody ever has that level of energy in the morning. I let her know my rear tire was low on PSI, and I suspected there to be a slow leak. She took my keys and told me to check-in inside. The whole interaction and key exchange took about 20 seconds. The gentleman who helped check me in was Sean. He was quick at getting me settled in. Funny guy too. He made small talk and diagnosed my vehicle after being in the lounge for 5 minutes or so. They have fast wi-fi, free popcorn, and free coffee. If you rather pay for coffee there is a Starbucks across the street. If Starbucks is too mainstream and you like hipster you can go to Dutch Bros. There are quite a handful of businesses nearby that are walking distance. These guys are quick on their service, so you most likely don't have time to leave the facility. After sitting in the lounge for about 20 minutes Jerrica jogged back to the counter and called me up. She called out the I had a nail in my tire and a temporary plug in it as well. They patched up my tire and charged me with a "complimentary passenger flat repair" on my invoice for $0.00. Les Schwab is the truth!!! You have earned a customer for life. read more

I'm usually not complaining about service or people who provide a service, but I'm going to have to complain today about Les Schwab of Renton (normally Les Schwab is awesome) Take my car in for routine brake fluid swap. They kindly inspect the brake pedal and reservoir (great!) then proceed to take my tires off to check the lines (also awesome). Three out of four tires come off no problem. Service guy comes in and tells me bad news...the wheel key is stripped (likely over-torqued). "Sorry the key stripped the bolt...long pause...we can get it out but it will likely damage your wheel using an air chisel, but we'll have to charge you an hourly rate for the work." Me: "Well that's frustrating so now I have a wheel that's stuck..."so it was really tight and the bolt was probably corroded so no dice..sorry. We can get it out but we'll charge you. You want me to have you work on it now and you're going to charge me for the fix?..."Yeah, unfortunately corrosion is the culprit so we are not obligated to rectifying it" Uncomfortable silence. Well I came in for a routine job undone and now I've wasted nearly 3 hours wait and a stuck wheel. No reaching an amicable solution, just let me leave pissed with 4 out of 5 bolts in each wheel back in and a wheel that is stripped and stuck. They were so kind in letting me jump into my car in their garage over the lift and bounce. Thumbs up! Found out afterwards that I can remove it with a quick hack, another big thumbs up guys! Being a tire and wheel establishment, you would think they can handle mishaps like this...guess not. To be clear, I was level headed and cool through this process. Nothing personal. I'm not even including names. Things like this happen. It's how a business handles it is important. This was handled poorly and has 180 changed my endorsement of Les Schwab. read more

After a rude experience at Quick Lane Tire and Auto Services, we went to Les Schwab. I had had a flat the night before (11.22.17) and was driving on my spare and wanted to see about getting it replaced. The gentleman at desk greeted us and let us know if the,flat was fixable, there wouldn't be a charge and if they couldn't fix it then they'd go over options lwith us. Said it would be about 1 1/2. Ok no problems. It wasn't an 1 1/2, more like maybe 45 minutes so I was happy. The lady that looked at my tire was friendly and knowledgeable. She said the tire wasn't fixable and showed me 3 different options (she also recommended that I have one of the back tires replaced because it was completely bald). I told her that unfortunately none of the options were within my budget that night. She offered to go see if they had used tires that would fit my car.....and they did. She gave me a quote of $107 for everything (which was cheaper then Midas which quoted me $123 for one tire and everything that goes with it). She put both tires on and we were out of there in about an hour. All in all, a pleasant experience. They will definitely be getting my business again. In fact, plan on going back within the next two weeks to have them check my alignment (they suggested it but couldn't afford it at the time). Kudos, Les Schwab!!! read more

I had to get my rear brakes replaced recently and after the replacement at this location, my brake light and traction control light was on for some reason. I decided to call and schedule for another inspection under my warranty after this and they told me that my caliper was blown after the inspection. How is this even possible? They need to hire new mechanics because obviously they're putting people's live's in danger by not doing their job right. Keep the in mind I didn't damage the car and only drove it to school and back for 3 days after the first fix. After the second fix, my brakes still squeak 'till this day, just as before, as if the calipers are blown again. it's been 5 weeks since the last repair and I honestly don't even want to get another inspection here again or any other service done here. They also said my alignment was way off and quoted me $950 to fix it. My car stays straight when braking and when accelerating while I have my hands off the steering wheel, so I'm not sure what they are talking about. I don't know if I'm unlucky or not but never going here again, terrible experience read more

We buy our tires from Les Schwab specifically for the free tire rotation and air adjustments. It's a great service they offer for free and we appreciate it. The problem is that you can't schedule it, so you're at the mercy of their workload - and even when they tell you it will be an hour and you come back, it won't be done. They seem incapable of accurately estimating how long things will take. My wife was there at 9:03am and was told one hour for the work to be done. It wasn't until 10:48am she was able to leave with the work done. That's almost two hours! I consider that unacceptable. Les Schwab should stop making commitments to customers that they can't deliver on. read more

First advice - If you're like me who likes to compare prices because ..it's just the thing to do. Make sure you either start here or include this in one of your places to get your brakes done. These folks are legit because they will give you peace-of-mind. Second advice - Great price and peace of mind. I am not a car guy...I know what the basics are but when you get to the second level of mechanic talk...I am lost. However, These guys delivered in the price and peice of mind. I asked all the questions I could possibly ask and they didn't mind (especially I called like 4-5 times to ask questions.) So I finally had it with my leaky tire. I put it off long enough, and I was getting sick of being gawked at every time I went to temporarily fix the deflated thing. I could see the people placing bets in their head as to whether or not this blondie in her high heels and work clothes could figure out how to put air into a tire. Yeah suckas, I ain't stupid. I called into Les Schwab and they said they would take a look and it would take about an hour. I read the paper and got caught up on all of the grammy gossip while I waited. In about 40 minutes they called my name and I pulled out wallet. The guy said, there was a screw in your tire, we got it out and fixed it, free of charge. Really, I said? Even though the receipt showed $12.00 for the charge, which is nothing, if they actually did make me pay. But I must say, free beats the 75 cents I was paying each time I used a gas stations air pump. Now I don't think this little complimentary service had anything to do with same reason I got gawked at when filling up the flat tire, I just think Les Schwab is a business that has integrity and does things like this to show their customers they appreciate their returning business. Save your time and money... do not go here! I suggest you drive 7 miles to the Tukwila Les Schwab instead. The employees here just want to get the "job" done and move on to the next. They do not care if they damage your vehicle, as long as they get off on time when they close. I received service here for new tires and they ended up damaging 6 other parts on my vehicle. It took almost a month for them to order the new parts and repair what they damaged. Might I add, I had to finish getting my service done at another Les Schwab location, this was after speaking to their Corporate Headquarters, because I could no longer tolerate working with them in Renton. So happy with this location! Everyone is very friendly and polite. They are super fast. Tested battery for free and made some recommendation. No hard sales here. I also didn't know that they can come out to your car if your battery dies to give you a jump and bring you a new battery if needed. That's way faster and better than AAA $150+ monthly fee to have roadside assistance. The $6/mo roadside assistance ended up costing me too much money now that I remember! While We were waiting, I noticed one of the service reps was really nice to this Latin guy who was humbly dressed. He was very polite to him and treated him respectfully. It made me feel good to know they treat everyone equally regardless of nationality. The same gentleman at les Schuab told us They were slammed to work on my friends car but they called in one more guy to help just so our ride would be ready on time. The new struts and alignment Were at An excellent price. Aaron told us we may need new tires soon. I highly recommend this location and Aaron is a great service rep. Keep in mind that it's worth to be patient because they seem to have really good prices and you can tell they have a good sense of urgency and get things done right the first time. read more

The absolute worst auto experience of my life. I went here to get my tire pads changed on my front wheels. They told me that they can't only change the pads, they have to do the calipers and some routine maintenance - fine. I was quoted ~$300 for the job and I was ok with that. I left them my truck and told them to call me when it was done. They called me and said that the job was done. When I arrived, my bill was nearly $600. I told them that they must have changed all 4 when I only needed the front 2 changed. They assured me that they had only changed the front set but they had also put on new rotors. "Your old rotors were not safe so we changed them out".. Thats fine and dandy but they NEVER told me about this additional service and I never gave them the ok. I told them that I didn't want to pay for that and they told me that we could pull the old rotors out of the trash and put them on but it would not be safe for me to drive off. They really left me no choice. I paid the $600 and went home. After some research, I found that it was illegal for them to charge me more than 10% over the original written quote. Armed with a copy of the washington state law, I went back in and talked to a manager. He offered to pay for the labor but I would still be out another $200 above my quote. He eventually gave me everything for the original quote price. - At this point, I was ok with Les Schwab and would have returned again. I felt like they did what they could to take care of me. About 1 week later, I was driving across state and I hear a horrible clunking on my driver side tire. I manage to get my truck in to a mechanic. When he popped the tire off, the caliper literally fell right off. They had forgot to screw the calipers on. I will never go back to Les Schwab which is a shame. They use to be a respectful company in my eyes. read more

The store is a dump, smells bad and hard to get to if you're southbound on Rainier. The employees are pretty nice except the manager is a real piece of work... treats you like garbage and looks mad to be alive.
