First and last visit here. The customer service and the time that it took to get my oil changed was great. But I'd rather go somewhere else where they give you better information on the simple stats of your car. While changing my oil they told me about needing another service but had no intention of elaborating while checking out. During check out I was informed I would get an email/invoice explaining recommended work. What is it that you see where you are recommending a $140 service that you said is done at 15-20k miles? I just purchased the vehicle at 45k. But lack of why and what you see is why I hesitate. The waiting room had plentiful seating in front of a TV playing classic black and white shows plus a counter that likely used to have a coffee machine. Perhaps it can be a customer work space? But also doesn't compare to another spot that has an area for kids to play and coffee to order from thier espresso machine. (Paid) Overall it's more so about having to dig for information. If its as simple as a blinker, fuse, or cabin air filter I can do that myself. I'll be having my vehicle as well as my husband's serviced elsewhere. read more

Paid Diagnostic Not Done - Silverdale Firestone I went to Firestone Silverdale (Store #006548) for an appointment to have a diagnostic done on known engine fault codes explained prior at the appointment setting. I paid for the service, but no diagnostic was performed, and I waited about 7 hours with no contact from the store. I had to call them myself to find out what was happening. They suggested unrelated repairs costing multiple thousands and did not provide any diagnostic info about the codes. When asked about the diagnostic they informed me take the car to dealership to fix the known code issue and provided zero diagnostic information for the codes. But they still wanted to do all the unrelated repairs costing multiple thousands. My recent dealer check indicates those services where not needed. Up sale for the Firestone Card to get discounts which some services are still overpriced. This wasted a lot of time and delayed solving the problem. I do not recommend this location. read more

I was told I needed new brakes and needed a valve cover leak fixed. I had the leak fixed for $361 but held off on the brakes. When I took my car to the dealership, I was told I did not need new brakes. And the leak was NOT fixed. The dealership called Firestone to get me a refund, but they would not give it me. Also, my brakes were perfectly fine...did not need replacing, and they wanted to charge me over $1000 to do the rear and front brakes. Don't go to this place! read more

I got there , on time,and was told they couldn't get to my car until maybe 4pm and absolutely before they closed at 7pm because of all the walkins, on this holiday, from the base. I had an appointment for 1pm but was able to drop my car off early at 11am. They said they would get it in when they could. I walked to some local businesses and came back at 12:30pm. It didn't look like my car had been taken back yet and I asked them what the status was. They said they would let me know in a few minutes. At 1:40pm a service technician took my car back. They never communicated anything with me. This is not the first time I've had to wait a significant amount of time without any communication. Pretty disappointed! read more

Came into the Silverdale WA Firestone on Silverdale Way and they refused to put air in my tires this morning. The technicians blamed it on the manager and closed the rolling doors on us when we complained about how that made absolutely no sense. FRAUDULENT PLACE!!!! BEWARE!!!!! Went in because our check engine came on. They did an inspection and quoted us over $4000 worth of things that needed to be fixed. (They did not even tell us WHY the check engine light was on) They also said one of our tires was non-reparable and recommended we do the buy three get one free. They stated we had a piece of metal lodged in the tire making it non-reparable. They charged us $149.99 for the inspection that was all lies. However, after reviewing all the things that needed to be fixed, we felt this was off due to how our car seems to be running great. We took it to our local mechanic where he checked everything on the list. He said, report these people. In total we have about $200 worth of work that needs to be done. & the tire??? The tire that's "non-reparable"was a tiny piece of metal that was stuck between our treads (it wasn't even in our actual tire) these tires are less than a year old... thank u discount tire for getting out the tiny piece of metal, and also telling us to report this company. Our ball joints don't need to be replaced, almost the entire list was lies. I've seen skits of this happening on TV but didn't ever think it would happen to us in real life. STAY AWAYfrom these guys. Had a flat, inflated it with fix a flat and drove it to Firestone in Silverdale. After front counter con men got my vehicle info(toyota tacoma) they tried to talk me into a oil change. (Not needed for 2000miles). I declined that and advised them I used "fix a flat " to inflate the tire. The con men looked at each other and advised me the fluid in fix a flat is really aggressive and they will have to replace the tire. I drove to university place/tacoma and freeway speed and had it fixed there. I advised the shell station what Firestone stated and they just shook their heads. My neighbor said the place has a reputation for con jobs. Especially elderly people and women. read more

I will likely never return to this Firestone. I took my Toyota Tacoma there to get an alignment done last week. Everything felt good until I noticed a fairly faint click when I turned my wheel left and right at a stop light. I pulled over and crawled underneath to discover that they did not tighten either of my tie rod end adjustment lock nuts. Luckily I caught it within a few miles of driving and not a day later when I was driving next to a 100' Cliff in the Olympic mountains. This easily could have killed someone if a non mechanic was driving and did not notice faint click. Do not take your car or spend money here if you care about your life. I would love to give a one star, but I have not used the service here. I called to see if I can get in to get some headlights replaced. I was quoted $18/headlight, not bad I thought. Then he quoted the whole labor and all and it came out to $182 and some change. I was baffled. I could probably go to O'Reilly and get some and youtube it myself. Instead I head over to Midas down the street and they quoted me half the price. I was on my way in less than one hour. From my personal experience I would not recommend. read more

Pros: -good electronic communication -friendly staff -Starbucks right next door, thank God Cons: -my appointment was at 9am but my car was still in the parking lot at 9:40. I went here. The guy at the front was so rude. Said it would be $100 to cut my wheel lock even though the key was in my glove box.. BTW it's $20 to cut it so he lied. Had to drive another 45 min to give him the key, because he said he couldn't open my glove box. Then after it's all said and done they quote me a bunch of unnecessary stuff and quote me close to $1500. I decided to get a second opinion at les schwab and they said said had no idea what firestone was talking about. Howard and the whole team have helped myself and my son with tires, rims and service. They truly go above and beyond

I had a 12 PM appointment I'd set up several weeks in advance. My partner was out doing work in her own vehicle, so I figured I'd just hang out in a park and read for an hour or two while the techs installed my tires and performed some other maintenance work. At 3:00, wondering what was taking so long, I walked back over to Firestone only to find that my vehicle was still in the parking lot! I asked about it and was told it was next (why was it not scheduled for my actual appointment time?) and would be an hour and a half at most. In reality, I ended up getting out of there at about 5:30. Very frustrating experience. What is the point of an appointment system if you're not going to actually work on the car until 3 1/2 hours later? Why was I not told they were running behind when I dropped the car off? Or after a few hours had already passed? The kicker is that my appointment ALSO included a break job and an alignment, which they did not have time to do. Needless to say, I will be getting those two items done elsewhere. read more

Very frustrating!! I would give zero stars if I could. Several weeks ago, I called to confirm that this center was willing to install tires (purchased on line from Tire Rack) on the rear axle of my Tesla. After being advised that they would only do so if I provided the Tesla jacking points lifting pucks (which I purchased) I had the tires dropped shipped to them for my scheduled installation today. Upon my arrival, I was informed that their policy was only to install 4 new tires when replacing tires on a 4 wheel drive car. Having driven 45 minutes on a tire with a screw in the tread, needless to say I was upset. I spoke to the manager who basically told me that this was a Firestone policy to prevent damage to differentials on all wheel drive car. Having owned several all wheel cars, I understand that view for conventional systems. However, Teslas don't have a differential - they have independent motors on each wheel. Pretty sure I wouldn't trust my car to a service manager who doesn't know this or doesn't reasonably apply a policy in circumstances where it doesn't fit. The manager told me he intended to discipline the employee who had not told me of this policy. That isn't at all helpful to me - how about standing behind the commitment made by your employee instead. That would have been more helpful. So, we loaded my new tires into my car and I headed down the street to the Goodyear dealer. They seem to be more practical - my tires are being installed now. Shout out to Jess there for being helpful. Also, shout out to Allen at Tire Rack for his understanding and empathy when I called him about this horrific experience with Firestone. He seemed intent on fixing the issue!! But for me, done with Firestone - and please teach your employees to inform customers about your archaic policies and go back to the books to understand how evolving technology impacts your business. read more

I'm not a regular Firestone customer, but I wanted to acknowledge the team at the Silverdale location especially Jason. I was in a mild panic because my tire was acutely flat, found to be from a nail, and I was hours away from loading up my car for transport (as part of a military move). Obviously the timing was horrendous, and I saw that the shop was quite busy. After sharing my unique situation with Jason, he found a way to fit my car in to patch it up. In addition, when he noticed I was active duty military he did it at no charge to me. I couldn't believe it! Thank you so much for being so empathetic to my situation and helping me out! I recently took my vehicle in for an oil change and some break work. I live in Silverdale and figured try out someplace in town. Now I'm sure they did a great job on replacing my breaks since I haven't had any issues in the last few weeks but I had a list of other things that were not acceptable. And just to be clear, I usually take my cars to the dealership for work and have no issue paying for the correct care for my vehicles. I'm not some backyard mechanic on my stuff and think paying for anything is bad. Oil change- paid $100+ for the oil change and they did not even top off basic fluids like windshield wiper fluid, they didn't wash or give me a voucher to wash my car, didn't vacuum it, didn't even give me a new sticker to let me know when the next one is due. Now this is way over priced for such a basic service. Brakes- so when they replaced my breaks, they had to remove my tires and hopefully rotated them. They said my tires were fine and needed no attention. I picked up my vehicle on a Sunday and on Monday morning I had three tires with noticeably low pressure. Even jiffy lube checks that. Paying- The most irritating thing about the whole experience isn't getting half ass service, it's the actual act of checking out. So Firestone advertises coupons and discounts a lot to offset their over pricing. Now when I told them I had coupons for the various services they performed they made me show them one by one. Doesn't sound that unreasonable right? These are on their website. Not retail me not or Groupon. And to make it worse is that to get them you have to input your number, have it texted to you and show them. I had to do this four times and the guy DOESNT EVEN SCAN THEM. He just glances at them and applies them. Makes the checking out process that much more difficult and drawn out after they had my vehicle an extra day. Overall- horribly not impressed with the service, half ass service provided to my vehicle, and gross over charging. Stick with a dealership or go somewhere else. read more

Charged for an oil change that was never done, went home to top off all fluids before taking family over snowy mountain passes to notice the oil was a quart low the day after the supposed oil change. Checked oil filter and it had a dirty exterior and was an OEM filter not the Penzoil as the receipt stated was installed. Went back got my money back and was told I'm not sure how this happened. Asked why didnt call me? Howard said "I told Alan to call you." Never happened. So, asked Howard when Dan would be working next. Leaves to check schedule, returns saying "next Monday at 10 am is good...Dan will be here." Monday I call to be sure Dan is there. Answer is "No, Dan isnt working today". So, second appointment can't be as promised! Another appointment? No way! Avoid this Firestone operation ....... 2 missed appointments.....no apologies. Lousy service. Mixed review: Great manager, poor front desk service. Since my car's tire tread was getting dangerously low, i decided it was time for a replacement. After getting online quotes from numerous tire shops, i decided that Firestone had the best deal for the all-season tires that I needed to buy and have installed. Their website was fairly intuitive and easy to use. What i needed was in-stock and I made my appointment directly from the website. Upon arrival I was served immediately. They were able to pull up my reservation and see the tire replacement I specified. The only problem was the ability of the salesperson to actually meet the price I was quoted for. I handed over my phone and showed my quote but he was completely frustrated and insistent on me paying the non-quoted price (a $100 difference). The store manager was HUGELY helpful and straightened it out after 20 minutes of assistance and apologizing. May have been a new employee's lack of training or a software glitch but the salesperson handled the whole situation fairly poorly. The actual installation time was quite fast. However a different firestone location they had done the three other rims and tires of the EXCACT same tire and size. I explained to the gentleman working there that the tire wasn't out of code dating and he was completely unwilling to help me. I'll never be back to Firestone Silverdale and will refer others to stay away from a business who does not want to help their customers. read more

Last summer I was traveling out of state when I severely damaged a tire on my Jeep Cherokee. I was sold a new tire that was supposed to exactly match the other three. A few months later I noticed the tread pattern was different. It is bad to run with different tread patterns on your tires. It can actually void the manufacturer's warranty on the vehicle. I called the store and spoke to the new manager Howard Foster. Though he wasn't the manager when I got the new tire, Howard was very helpful and understanding of my situation and that I was indeed sold the wrong tire. I live about 400 miles from the store and it didn't make sense to return the tire. Howard refunded the purchase price of the tire to my credit card. Howard exemplified outstanding customer service and I really appreciate that. read more

If your vehicle has lane assist and ADAS do not take your car here. They well sell you a lifetime warranty, but they cannot and shouldn't align your car. We have called them 3 or 4 times and they acknowledged they can't perform the service until I tell them they sold me the lifetime warranty and then they change their minds and say they can. I know they can't because other shops have told me Silverdale can't and that most firestones can't. I waited for the manager to call me back today and of course there wasn't a call. I will be calling firestone corporate again and the better business Bureau since this is obvious fraud. read more

Steering wheel had some clunking noise with turning. Dropped my car off during the weekend and was told it'd be ready by Tues. Tues comes and was told it wasn't ready cause they ordered the wrong parts and said it'd be ready by Thurs. Called Thurs and said it's installed but still something wrong and tacked on another grand (around $3000 now) and said it'd be ready by the following Tues (yesterday) which they then provided me with a paid rental. Husband calls yesterday and whomever was on shift had no idea what was going on with my vehicle and the part hadn't been installed at all; said that the mechanic left for the day (3pm). He said for sure it will be ready by the next day which brings me to today. Husband said they tried to tack on another $2800 to replace another part because they think it's still a little wonky. I'm literally waiting in the parking lot for my car even though they said it should've been ready already. I seldom pull a "Karen" and I understand it can get super busy and things arise. I know how customer service is and tbh they aren't par with it. Do not tell a customer that their car would be surely ready by a certain time, dismiss keeping the customer up to date, and try to tack on more money. My husband said Firestone is typically good but not this one and he's worked at one before. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

Firestone has just lost my business. After a long stressful week with my grandfather passing away and having to make an out of town trip last minute, i called the day before and confirmed an appointment for an oil change. I wanted to make sure it was confirmed. It's important. They confirmed it with me. It was scheduled for the next day in the afternoon. 30 minutes before the appointment, i just received call that they are cancelling my appointment because they're fully booked and over booked me. I pleaded. I told them about my grandpas funeral the very next morning that i had to rush off too as soon as the car was taken care of. I offered to come in that second or later or after hours. Any way we could make it work... and i was turned away. This is not good customer service. Understaffed or not. I work as a 911 dispatcher, I'm a veteran... i understand long hours. I understand how much it sucks staying late to cover for someone else, but I also understand sacrifice. And they clearly do not. read more

If one of my Sailors asked me about this place, I'd recommend they go elsewhere. I go to Firestone because a lot of bases have one. Sometimes, they're really awesome and the staff bend over backwards to take care of the customer. And sometimes, they're like the Silverdale Firestone. 5 big checks in the "nope -- not going back" column: 1. My wheels have a wheel lock. I was not asked to produce a wheel lock key. My wheels were taken off. Soooooo ... they rifled through my glove box for the key. Is that efficient? Yes. Does it also encourage larcenous behavior? Also, so much yes. 2. Similarly, they didn't ask what oil I want for the oil change. I've never NOT had that asked at an oil change. Sure, you can go in my record and check -- but how would you know if I wanted something particular? WHY WOULD THE CUSTOMER'S INPUT MATTER? 3. I came in for an oil change and brake service, after my rear brakes started squealing REALLY LOUDLY (and this is after they were serviced at another Firestone.) Even after explaining that the sound was getting WORSE with time, Mark (the front desk guy) starts talking about how the brakes seem fine, the sound'll probably go away in a month -- but let's talk about the tune-up you can use. Wait, a sec: the brakes will just get better? When the sound is getting worse? What about the fact that the parts on there now aren't the recommended material? Basic questions, I thought -- but this is where Mark loses any pretense of customer service. He gets really impatient, really loud and basically says I can do what I want. What? Hey guy, I don't deal with this sort of thing every day -- but YOU do! How about answering some basic questions without the attitude? If you're overworked, that sucks -- but how exactly is that my issue? And now ... the brakes are STILL squealing, loud as sin. 4. For a brake assessment, oil change and tune up, it took 7 HOURS. WITH an appointment! Basically, just terrible time management going on here. 5. Having to hear Mark (the front desk guy) ask customers "Are you a Christian?" is just ... come on, man. What is this -- the town from "Footloose"? Seriously. Is treating customers equally well across the board now "un-Christian"? After all that, just declined the brake service and opted for the tune-up and oil change. At this point, fingers crossed that the quality of the work in the back doesn't reflect the poor service in the front. My left rear tire was flat so my husband filled it with air and followed me down to Firestone in Silverdale where I was told I needed to drop off my car for the entire day which was okay. I called about 4:00 and was told "Yes, your car is fixed and ready to go!". So my husband took me back to Firestone and dropped me off and drove away. Ten minutes later it was my turn at the counter. Everyone in the store was wearing a mask EXCEPT for the guy checking me out. Which I did not find amusing at all. Then when he told me that my tire was not fixable and therefore my car was NOT ready to go after all I was really not amused. They had filled it with air but their story was that the tire needed to be replaced. I managed to drive the couple of miles home on what was probably a too flat of tire. I realized that I had a nail in the center of my tire. I took it in and they had to have the car for a while not a big deal since I walked in. They quoted me 22.00 to repair tire (which seems expensive).They call to tell me the tire is not repairable and I need 4 new tires since my car is an all wheel drive. I can understand two so its balanced. I ask this and I'm told its Firestone's policy.They give me an estimate for over $1000.00. I had them fill the tire with air and picked up car. I took it to another reputable tire shop and they were able to repair the tire for free for me. Seems like they were behind on their sales and figured a woman wouldn't know the difference. read more
