Made two separate reservations with their website, response times were spectacular. Only downside is I didn't get to have the reservation time I was hoping for but this location seems to be quite busy! So if you need to get there by a specific time you probably have to put your appointment a little further out then just 48 hours before an appointment . They have a comfortable waiting area with a TV. I love that they send you a text message with pictures showing you the status of your vehicle, I had oil changes done. Associates are very friendly and attentive as soon as you walk in the door! I love that they offer money off once in awhile for service too! read more

I had a starter I needed them to put on my truck, and they did it no problem. Also had a vacuum hose to put back on my intake manifold. Told the folks in the front what all I needed done. They gave me my quote and I told them to do it and I'll be back in later that week to pick up my truck. They called me to say the starter was done. I asked if they put the vacuum hose on, they said they didn't. Told them I need it put on and they call me the next day to say they couldn't find the connection. But they charged me an additional hour of service for something that was already accounted for in my original quote, so they double dipped time to fix something that they weren't even capable of doing (I actually found it. $2.19 hose from Autozone and a lookup on a diagram). read more

Super scammy. Went in for an engine noise & light, said they needed to do a compression test. They gave me the "results," that my engine was failing/losing compression and would need to be replaced, and also suggested I pay $800 to replace all the coils (after already spending $300 just for diagnosis and compression test). I had my regular mechanic retest it and the compression is fine, coils are fine, the engine is fine. All it was was pretty much an oil leak. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! They are SCAMMERS! I got my car fixed here and paid the bill in FULL. Then 3 months later, they called me and told me I never paid! I bring them the invoice paperwork that clearly showed it was paid for. Then they told me that wasn't enough proof for a refund. He strongly advised me to pay again and promised to refund me if I bring back more proof. So I paid AGAIN, which was a huge mistake. I came back to show bank transactions and he still refused my refund again. They scammed me and were very unprofessional and rude. I shouldn't have to take multiple trips to get this resolved! Unprofessionalism ways. They called and told my girlfriend that she hasnt paid her bill 3 MONTHS ago. but she got receipts and already paid for it. So she paid AGAIN only to find out coming home that her account was already charged when she checked the statements far back 3 months ago. I've been taking my cars to the Silverdale Midas for more than six years now. When you find a good service place you keep em and I've always been happy with their service. I actually drive my cars almost an hour from Sequim to have them worked on here. I started with a simple oil change and have ended up doing all (except dealer warranty) of my service here. I drive quite a bit for a living and made it clear to the manager Steve that I wanted him to check-up on everything any time I came in. In six years I have only had one a breakdown on my commute. The following morning I called Midas and had someone very knowledgable explain the what was wrong (a dead battery) and explain the most likely cause (my alternator). I was given several suggestions from having my car towed (phone number provided) to changing the battery myself. I opted to change the battery myself and limped my car to the shop. Midas had me back on the road it about two hours. All in all I do (and have) highly recommend Midas Silverdale for anything your car might need! read more

Wish I could rate negative stars. Was quoted to do a SIMPLE shock and spring swap. No lift, nothing fancy. I had 3 quotes that all fell in the $400 to $500 range, including Midas. Thing about Midas is they are open on Saturdays so I raced down there after work and dropped off my car Friday night for work to be done Saturday. Amazingly enough, I got a call Saturday morning and my quote almost doubled. Scammers, plain and simple. Quizzed them on hours, hourly rates and nothing added up. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Took my car in for an oil change and thought all was well. I was pleased to have my oil changed. Months later when I'm due for another oil change, I can't get my drain plug out... They had rounded it out entirely and acted like it was my fault. Not only did they try to charge me for an oil change, they also never even offered to replace the oil plug. I'll say that Shaun/Sean the Pacific Islander is super helpful and I'll give him 5 stars for his service and care. Thankfully Sean was the guy manning the desk when I came in to have my breaks fixed. He was helpful and answered all my questions. He had a difficult client come in and he handled her with care although she was being very difficult. He handled it so well she decided to come back for all the recommended service. Again- I'm giving the store 5 stars for Sean and the team that works here. I never let shops work on my truck, and 1 visit to Silverdale, Midas store and I will NEVER let a shop do it again. I had them do alignment and install a Pitman Arm and Idler Arm, I had already bought. I had already replaced the: front brakes and resurfaced the rotors, front shock absorbers, new tie rods(2), and new stabilizer bar. Total cost $600 and my blood n sweat into my Chevy C1500 V8 5.7L ext. Cab pick up, and I was ONLY person working on it. Well I am a FEMALE, who LOVES WORKING ON CARS/TRUCKS. I did give specific instructions about not rotating rear n front tires(2 rear same, 2 front different than rear but they matched eachother) , the Employees there just didn't listen to me. After 2 almost $1200, and 2 days I drove it home and immedietly I could tell alignment WASNT DONE AT ALL, but every turn I heard my front right tire rubbing my front wheel well. I called immedietly they swore it wasn't possible, even tho I now had wear and small gash into NEW TIRE. So I was told to schedule ANOTHER APPT. to have it looked at.... 2nd time in, and I showed the problem, and stated they swapped tires front front to back and vice versa, the Front Desk-Manager told me I was ignorant and didn't know what I was talking about...!!! I was furious, so I again calmly stated that the tires needed to be a certain way, and then he proceeded in telling me I was at fault and that my front bumper(chrome) was damaged since I picked truck from them!! I almost blew my lid, I explained that it was damaged when I bought the truck, no new damage, and no reason the truck is more messed up than when I 1st brought in. I watched the guys return tires to original positions but they again didn't balance or re-align my truck, and then as I videoed the who process, my R front tire was not put on and slowly bolted onto front hub assembly. Instead he bolted top lugnut all the way down then did the 4 half ass, I could clearly see how crooked and not align properly the 1 tire was.....I then had to wait for paperwork, and non of the workers even cared if it was done correctly. At the end, I was given paperwork with now 3 more things Manager said I needed replaced ($670 in parts and labor) HAHAHA, NO WAY! first off I can my own repairs, and recently when I went under the truck, I then NOTICED..: Midas had removed a few parts I had replaced with new parts BEFORE even going to MIDAS, and put older rusty parts in place of them. I HAVE RECIEPTS WHEN I BOUGHT NEW PARTS, AND A COUPLE WITNESSES WHO WERE PRESENT WHEN I PUT NEW PARTS ON MY TRUCK. I WANT TO TALK TO SOMEONE IN HIGHER UPS FOR MIDAS, CUZ LAWSUIT IS COMING ON. Dropped our car off at the Silverdale Midas for diagnostics. Fault code indicated a problem with the high pressure fuel pump. Midas quoted us $2,000 for the pump only (excludes service and a related hose). The next day, we checked prices for the pump only at a Seattle dealership and at an online parts store (in stock at both sources). Dealer quoted a price of $964. Parts Geek price was $712. Called Midas and asked them to check their pricing, and shared the prices from alternate sources. I asked if they could do better on the pump. They called back 15 minutes later and said they could lower the price to $1,400. The original price quote was provided to my wife. Either Midas is getting gouged by their sources (doubtful), or they're gouging their customers. This Midas store has lost our trust. We opted to retrieve our vehicle before the work started and will not be a returning customer. read more

My first job was working at a Texaco station ( 30 years ago ) back when they still offered full service fill up. I would check under the hood and make sure the oil and fan belts all were up to standards. If not it was my job to let them know and quite possibly get to do the repair or service for them. It's all about service. This Midas was excellent and helped me get my truck back to safe driving condition without it costing me more than it needed. They saved me at least 1500.00 because of good sound mechanic work and true experts in their trade. I highly recommend them. read more

Buyer Beware This place is full of scamers and liars. Had my jeep towed in for a no start. They tell me the battery is bad needs to be replaced ( note Les Schwab had replaced the battery it was still under warranty) So they quote me the price for the new battery. My jeep is a 98,it needed the neutral safety switch replaced. Just because I am a female, Mr Cheesy mustache, thinks that I am an idiot. I do my home work. He told me the center console had to be removed to get to the switch( which is in correct jeeps 2001 and above you have to pull out the center console. On jeep 1998 you do not need to pull the center console.) With battery and safety switch replaced said about 5/6 hundred dollars. SO I TOOK THE JEEP TO LES SCHWAB, they load tested the battery 3 times, I was there all 3 times the battery checked out good, they checked it several times, because I told the Midas Silverdale said that it was BAD. Well Les Schwab said battery check came back good all 3 times. I'm taking the jeep to SILVERDALE TRANSMISSION parts and labor for the switch, 1/2 of what was quoted my MIDAS SILVERDALE, and Mr Cheesy Mustache needs to learn women are not to be talked down to. I am a Disabled Veteran who worked as an Aircraft Mechanic in the Air Force. So I always look up the repairs. OLD HABITS DIE HARD. i had a left front wheel Bering and a thermostat replaced for a total of 898.00...this seems ridiculously high priced...the GM was working for the regular manager because she was on vacation...the GM was very cold towards me..i asked him to go over the invoice when i picked up my truck and his reply was ..i explained this to you on the phone...cold...dont know about you but i like to see in writing what has been done and the cost..labor and parts...6 months ago at this store i was told i needed a transmission flush ... i had them check it when i had this service done this week and they told me the fluid was good...MIXED MESSAGES...i have lost trust in midas and told the GM (Steve Gutierrez ) i am done with Midas...the GM needs some customer service instruction read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I took my car in to get tires changed over. I have low profile tires and they are difficult to mount but I expected a professional business to know how. Boy was I wrong. I got the car back and all 4 rims were scratched all the way around the lip. I went and got the manager and he said he was the one that mounted these. He then started saying look at how dirty the rims were and I obviously didnt take care of them so I had probably done that. I was getting so angry I just walked away and later just decided to cut my loses and let it go. 2 Months later I had 2 tires go flat on me. I had it towed to the closest shop and they took a look and said Wow the beads on the inside and out were damaged because of improper mounting. I went back to Midas and showed them the other shops written statement and said all I wanted was reimbursed for the tow and the new tires that was put on. He blew me off and said no. Now we are in going to small claims for $2000 they owe me for the rims and new tires. POOR WORK QUALITY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER (STEVE) WILL NOT TREAT YOU RESPECTFULLY IF YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT...BEWARE I went in for an oil change which included a free tire rotation, and thought I might get new brake pads as well. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they could take a look at my brakes while the tires were off and let me know if I needed new brake pads. I told him I suspected I might, since there was some orange-red colored dust on my back wheels that was obviously not road grime. He said it was no problem and he'd let me know. When the oil change was complete, he informed me that I should consider a new air filter (I told him I had ordered a K&N filter already), and said the tires had been rotated as promised. He didn't mention the brakes, so I asked him if they'd been checked. He then told me I still had 20-40% left on the back and more on the front. I asked if it was something I should do that day, or if I had some time, and he told me (and I quote) "it's nothing you need to worry about right now." I inquired about the orange dust on my back rims, and he told me it was just road grime. I thanked him, signed the form he gave me and left. One month later, the orange colored grime on my back rims was much worse, and then I started to hear a faint sound of metal on metal when I hit the brakes (obviously bc there was no brake pad left). I took my vehicle to another business, where I was informed that I had been driving the vehicle with little to no brake pad for some time. That rust colored dust on my back rims was from the metal being worn down after the pad had disappeared. Now I not only needed new brake pads, but two new rotors and calipers as well...all damage that could have been avoided had Midas replaced my brake pads a month prior when I first suspected a problem. The mechanic specifically stated "Midas really screwed you over" by not giving me an accurate diagnosis of my brake condition. I called Midas to give them a chance to apologize, or offer to help with the repairs...anything. I was very polite about it because I realize it could have been an oversight. The first guy that answered the phone treated me like I was bothering him by calling, and said "the manager is too busy to talk to you...he'll have to call you back". When Steve, the manager did return my call...he was beyond rude. He first tried telling me that in order to find out if I had needed new brakes pads, I would have had to pay for a "brake inspection" not just ask them to take a look at my brakes. The idiot actually tried to tell me that all they are required to do when someone asks to take a look at their brakes, is to do a "visual inspection" which includes looking to see if they have a brake pedal. YES he actually said they look for the brake pedal. He then insulted me by saying HE had been the attendant who waited on me, and that he never would have agreed to take a look at the brakes without making me pay for a full brake inspection...and that I told him nothing about orange-colored dust. He sounded older and had a much different voice than the person who had waited on me...and I know what I said. He was very condescending from the moment I started to explain...and kept cutting me off with "Mmmmkay...mmmkay..." like he didn't believe a word I was saying. SUPER LONG...story short...I told him thanks for nothing...I would advise my friends not to do business with MIDAS, and I will be listing a bad review on every website I find. People are always so honest and have never had any problems:) This location had nice bathroom that my little boys had to check out. I paid for an oil change, fluid top-off, and a tire rotation. They said my tires didn't need to be rotated and all my fluids were full. On the way home the steering was making noises. I checked the steering fluid reservoir and it was almost completely empty. Now I'm wondering if they even changed my oil. This is not the first time I've had problems with Midas.
